Opiniones de Kaffe 1668 Bloomfield
Great little coffee house by the WTC. Coffee is excellent, both espresso drinks and brewed cups. Multiple brews every day. Staff was friendly and efficient, especially during the morning rush. Free wireless with an amusing password. Enough space so that seats were always available. Clientele ranged from dad's with strollers to suits. Great place!
This cafe is so awesome! I really like it here, the coffee is fresh and the drinks are made with care. It's going to cost you a bit more, but it is something special. The interior is welcoming and people come here to catch up with friends. There are seating areas downstairs for studying.
Super cute TriBeCa spot. I loved the coffee. The amazing vibe. I went there on Saturday and Sunday and there was always a table for me to do some quick work before starting my day (I came around 9:30/10am. Super nice barista and overall very attentive. Their pastry collection also looks fantastic and my only regret is not trying one. You can easily miss the coffee shop if you are not looking for it. But if you do find it, it is amazing.
Solid speciality coffee option in financial district with decent single origins. I try to visit every time I'm in the city. Roasts were a bit dark for my personal liking on my most recent visit, but that seems to be NY these days.
Great experience! Friendly staff and a very cozy vibe
I love the Glowing Green Smoothie. It’s so light and refreshing. All of the items on their menus are delicious. I recommend and enjoy coming here at least once a week for something special. The staff is really nice and friendly and the atmosphere is nice too.
Adorable little coffee shop with reasonable pricing. The lighting is very low providing a cozy and soothing work environment. There is free Wi-Fi but no convenience outlets so come with your device fully charged.
Amazing matcha and super healthy snacks (the chicken wrap / mango). Super lovely people. Definitely recommend.
Such a wonderful place — everything was perfect from start to finish
One of the better shops you can go to, hard to be disappointed even with the most exacting standards! An independent roaster, check. The baristas are well trained and will answer whatever questions you have about the coffee fluently, check. They know how to make properly executed espresso and/or steamed milk, check. They may only have one espresso on offer at a time, but it's good and has character. The space is comfortable, cozy, contemporary and had an aesthetic of its own. So yeah, maybe the coffee won't make you double take but it's perfectly good. We're lucky to have shops that cover all these bases.
I go here almost every weekday. the baristas will remember you and speak with you. They take care in their drinks and are always good. If you plan on coming here for a chance to sit down with your laptop or hang out awhile you're unlikely to find a seat. It's usually, but not always, crowded. They have great coffee and tea selections.
Small place but with lots of atmosphere and good coffee. The service is polite and efficient, location strategic and reachable easily by subway for those who don't live in the area. Pastry is also good, well curated and well kept, a good and hip breakfast stop over.
I came here when I lived and worked in NYC, and it was called Kaffe 1668 at that time. I'm not sure if ownership changed, but I remember that the coffee was full of wooden lambs. It was so cute. We'd stop by after a grocery run nearby, or whenever I craved a latte. Their iced and hot lattes were soooo good.
Cute little spot. Baristas were friendly and efficient. Tried the cafe mocha with oat milk and it did not disappoint!
I went today with some friends 20ish minutes before closing hoping they were still making drinks and the atmosphere was so inviting. The barista made the most beautiful matcha lattes, completely selling me on the seasonal raspberry matcha and it was just as good as he said it would be. The house made syrup was sweet and tart and was so good. But what really made this visit was the barista, he was so patient with us, helped us customize our drinks to how we would like, and did it all so warmly. Highly recommend :)
My favorite neighborhood coffee shop in the mornings. Amazing cardamom bun, juices, chocolate pudding. Espresso could use a little improvement but it’s 4/5.
I love their vegan and gluten-free pastries, especially raspberry ones. They also have chia seeds pudding, which is fantastic.
Absolutely loved it. The attention to detail and service were amazing
Great plant-based options. Tried the healthy raspberry/chocolate/almond butter snack and it was like dessert.
Beautiful cafe front. Baked goods all looked good, while being slightly healthier than the usual fare. I asked the barista taking the orders what her fav pour overs were and she'd only tried two of them. I feel like this is an easy fix. It turned out well despite being done on a kalita style brewer. My cardamom bun was delicious, though the grinder left large chunks in. I didn't need crunchy cardamom, though I appreciate how much there was.
Great place!! Awesome food, great costomer service. In all this place is so good, the food is so yummy and healthy, and the coffee is great. I had a cheese egg sandwich, AMAZING EGG, but I couldn’t really taste much cheese, maybe more cheese next time. Other than that everything is so fast and great, the buzzer was fun for my children because they were waiting for it to buzz the whole time 🥰 Probably best NY experience (restaurant)!
Absolutely loved my visit to this coffee shop! I ordered a raspberry matcha and it was perfect, sweet, smooth, and so refreshing. The barista was incredibly kind and welcoming. He took his time with my order, made sure everything was just right, and even gave me a great recommendation (which I’m so glad I went with!). His sweet attitude really made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!
The atmosphere was very nice, and the decor was lovely. I had a black drip coffee, and its delicate flavor satisfied my caffeine craving.
My favorite coffee of NY. Why? because it has the best latte and also the best fresh plaint croissant. I've been walking the entire city trying different coffee shops and this was the best. The attention is very good, the place is cozy and the location is awesome. Recommended for also remote working.
Kaffe Åre is a cozy Scandinavian-inspired café in Tribeca that feels like a little calm escape from the usual NYC rush. The space has a warm, minimalist vibe with wood accents and comfy seating — great for a relaxed morning coffee or a casual catch-up. Their espresso drinks and pour-overs are well crafted with clean, balanced flavors, and the house-baked pastries (like cardamom buns) are tasty and a bit healthier than your typical café sweets. I also appreciated the fresh, simple food options — sandwiches and juices — and the friendly staff who make the whole experience feel inviting. It’s perfect for a slow coffee break or a light breakfast, though it can get busy during peak hours and seating fills up fast. Overall, if you’re in Tribeca and want quality coffee with a laid-back, Nordic-touch vibe, this spot is worth a stop.
I always get their Super Burrito! Great tasty vegetarian option, I always think the eggs inside are cooked to perfection haha 🥚 and the cardamom GF cookie crumbles but so good— wait time is maybe about 10 min. Each time I’ve been
Reliable spot to take a break. Very good coffee and tasty pastries. Haven't sampled food menu. Spare interior, but clean and tables a generously-spaced, a NYC luxury.
Overall rating: 4.8 Super cute spot I stumbled on while I was walking in the area. I went to try the matcha which was okay. Def want to come back for either a breakfast snack or a smoothie. While it’s large in space, the order waiting line was a bit hard to get confused with the food waiting line. I guess it depends on how many people are in the queue.
Kaffe Åre offers more than coffee it gives you a moment of stillness in the city. Their brews are clean and precise, with a distinctly Nordic vibe that shows up in everything from the ceramics to the playlist. Their seasonal specials are worth exploring, but even their basic black coffee is brewed with care. There’s nothing rushed about the experience, and that’s what makes it memorable. It’s thoughtful, grounding, and quietly one of the best spots I’ve found.
I really like this place! Probably my favorite açaí bowl in the city, their granola is to die for. It’s a decent place to do work at, and although there are solo tables they get snatched pretty quick, but there’s usually seating open if you don’t need to stay plugged into an outlet and don’t mind sitting at their long table (i did). the vibe is very chill, not necessarily quiet but i wouldn’t recommend trying to take phone calls or meetings here. matcha was expensive but par for nyc. açaí bowl i think is definitely worth the price!! just a nice little spot to grab a drink/food if you work/are in the area.
The best matcha latte (organic), I don't know how they achieve such perfect ratio of milk (I had soy) to matcha, it is rare I can really say that. Cosy rustic ambiance with Nordic feel, cutest sheep decor on the walls. Overall, the menu is a combo of healthy foods and pastries which looked nice.
A decent coffee shop that deserves its location and space. Unlike a growing number of cafes in downtown trying to make their atmosphere quick, instant, and somewhat hectic for better customer circulation, this place provides much more relaxed and cozy ambience while maintaining friendly service. If I happen to pass by the area again, I will definitely make a stop here.
Great coffee, friendly staff and a really great place to grab your laptop and get some work done. It's located close to Borough of Manhattan Community College so the place fills up pretty quickly with college students, as well as solopreneurs trying to bang out a few emails so space is at a premium. But the large wooden working tables with benches makes the shared space less claustrophobic. I haven't tried out their lunch menu, but if you just want a quick bite, their chocolate croissants are pretty tasty!
Kaffee Landskap (South) is a nice cafe to get a bite to eat and enjoy a reliably great cup of coffee. I somewhat prefer the interior of their main location to the north of this one, but they’ve still done a great job at this location by the same offering tasty food options and coffee.
The coffee was strong. I loved that if you order your coffee/food for "here" they serve you with actual plates and cups. Not disposable! I didn't know coffee houses still did that! Love the environment so cute and unique. The pastries weren't that great, the shelves were pretty bare and food stale. Maybe it was just time of day.
This charming coffee shop offers excellent coffee and even prepared my favorite drink, a magic coffee. The energetic and friendly staff contribute to its inviting ambiance. It's an adorable place to work, with reliable Wi-Fi, though it lacks available outlets.
I don’t put 5 stars to any venue unless I have been there for 5 times. Only experiencing the venue for a few times I can objectively assess it. Kaffe 1668 South is a nice place to have a coffee in TriBeCa. I passed it several times but never noticed it. I discovered it thanks to my friend. Most of all I adore its ambience and interior. The coffeeshop is literally divided into two salons. There is a huge wooden table where 10-12 people can easily fit in with no intention to make a mess. The second so called area is filled up with separate small tables for couples. The high ceiling and big vans up there maintain a good balance of air in the room. In addition, right by the window there installed a nice wooden bench where 3 people can seat and enjoy their food and have a talk. As for Coffee, I would score it 8 out of 10 which is very good to my point of view. The same concerns pastry. Overall, I enjoyed my time in Kaffe 1668 South.
Very nice cozy place to have my morning coffee
I make kanelbullar - I know they take time, finesse, and patience. They are best when eaten the day they are made . This one had excellent cardamom flavor. But not as fresh as I prefer. The coffee was good 4/5. Service was fast and efficient, pleasant surroundings- somewhat approaches the kaffe- feeling in Norway and Sweden. Prices are average for New York- cheaper than Sweden and Norway ! Enjoyable !
good cardamom bun, carbs and smor are better but lovely cute location and chill vibe. cardamom buns could be a bit moister and fresher - i went late morning and expected a fresher pastry. that slide it was still a good pastry and the coffee was good, not incredible. go for the calming atmosphere. average prices.
Delicious Coffee and Friendly Atmosphere This coffee shop serves delicious coffee and even made my favorite drink, a magic coffee (a ristretto cortado). The staff is energetic and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. It's a cute spot to get some work done with realizable WiFi, although there are no outlets available.
Stopped by for an iced americano and hoped for a bathroom too but didn’t seem like they had one, as I saw no signs or doors anywhere else. Lots of seating, not a lot of space to form line, but efficient service and good coffee. My iced americano was slightly bitter but earthy, in a good way!
TLDR coffee, pastries and food are great. Service is very slow. If you are in a hurry, don’t get your coffee there. If you are sitting, be mindful that it will take a while. This is my second time at this coffee shop. My first time was at a casual Wednesday around 3pm. The place wasn’t too busy. I ordered a cookie and a latte. I got the cookie pretty quickly but the coffee took forever. I was the only one in line, I was meeting a friend with had already ordered her coffee. It took mine nearly 15 minutes to be ready. Again, I was the only one in line. Second time was today, a Sunday at 3:50pm. I had 15 minutes wait for the bus so I thought to grab a coffee. I was waiting for 10 minutes with 2 other people that were waiting for their coffee as well. I almost missed my bus. Was thinking to give up on the coffee, but I got it right on time as I saw the bus arriving the station. I really want to love this place and go there more. But with the service being so slow as if there is only one person giving service to everyone, is such a bummer. I do want to mention that the staff odd being nice and welcoming. It is just very very slow.
Small cute coffee shop with good products overall. First of all, the drinks are directly made to go, without the waiter even asking, which I didn’t expect. The atmosphere is nice, but the vibe overall is not cozy and the staff is not very attentive. People come in and go all the time, it is not really the right place to enjoy a cozy coffee and/or to study. I liked their coffee though, and the bowls are good too.
Cool little coffee shop with very friendly vibes. Great place for a quick cup of coffee on the go or to sit down and relax. Plenty of people on laptops inside too. The coffee is sourced responsibly and the food is farm to table. The beans are roasted in Red Hook, Brooklyn. I definitely recommend coming here to whether it’s for a cup of coffee or just to say hi!
A nice cafe to work from. Though seats are plenty, it was relatively busy when I went. There is a clean restroom in the basement, which is always a huge plus. I ordered a blue bowl. They were nice enough to sub the banana for me. Though I was a little disappointed at the bowl. The toppings felt skimpy to me. I forgot the bowl came with cacao nibs until I felt a bite and saw there were a few more. The housemade granola is tasty, vegan and gluten free for all my friends who need to know.
Updated: The coffee has really gone downhill over the years and several other places have opened up. The coffee doesn't taste as fresh as it once did and much of the nuance is gone from each cup. The used to have several different regional offerings for pour-overs and I haven't seen that the last few times I went in either. I'm not sure if the management, ownership, clientele, or data is different but the place I used to love has really changed. I will say the employees are great though. Really nice and top notch. Original: Best coffee in Tribeca. Kind of pricy though. Worth it for a treat (or if money isn't a concern)
Went there with my daughter. I love coffee and have gluten restrictions so decided to try them out. Atmosphere is nice, but definitely overpriced for mediocre quality. My cappuccino was very blah, sandwich was ok but nothing special. Wait time was long. Would not recommend.
I had heard a lot about this place so I decided to finally check it out. I like the vibe - it is good to work out of, especially with the wooden tables and a free wifi with a decent speed. They have enough seating, so you're likely to find a spot mostly. However, their coffee wasn't up to my expectations. I got an oat mocha and it tasted like a regular latte. The taste and flavor of mocha was missing. I come to this conclusion after having tried over a 100 oat mochas - it being my go-to drink. The coffee beans were smooth but not strong as per my taste.
Be warned - this is a coffeehouse that does NOT have a customer restroom. Kind of defeats the purpose of a hangout in my opinion, but the coffee is good.
Coffee is fine, nothing special, like anything you would find in an average (and typically overpriced) NY coffee spot. Staff can be a bit more attentive - another customer and I were standing in front of the cashier for maybe a min before the staff stopped chatting with each other and realized we were there. But what I don’t understand is this: how can a sit-down coffee shop that serves food and drink not allow customers to use their washroom? It is ridiculous to me that the washroom is only for staff and they suggested me to go to the Whole Foods nearby if I need to use one. Isn’t this basic necessity for any establishment that serves food and drink?
Regular service and the matcha latte was half cold. The matcha was not prepared freshly, stood there already and tasted bitter. Maybe coffee is the better choice.
Meh! I was surprised at the persistently high reviews for this coffee shop. While the coffee is tasty and the staff are friendly, they could be more attentive to ensure a level of cleanliness. Cups and plates are left on the table, and napkins and other small trash are lying on the floor. The table I sat at was also annoyingly wobbly requiring a napkin wedge.
When I went, literally everyone where was working on their laptops aside from one guy who was reading. The lighting is really dim. There's a long communal table near the door and a couple small tables in the back. There is only a bathroom in the basement, so I'm not sure what the other reviews were talking about when they say two floors. The iced green tea was flavorless, and the iced chocolate drink was basically chocolate milk. It was a good place to take a break, and the interior design is pretty nice. The service was also fast and friendly, so one star for each of those. Prices were what I expected for New York. If I needed to do some work and happened to be in the area, I'd consider coming back, but overall this place was very underwhelming.
EXPAND COMMENT FOR THE COMPLAINT! I absolutely love this place. One of my favorite coffee shops to go to. Generous employees, great coffee, even better food! MY ONLY COMPLAINT! The Air Conditioning does NOT work. It feels like a sauna inside. The fact that employees must work in these conditions seems criminal. And it is only going to get more hot as the summer continues to run its course. Owners need to do something about this ASAP. Or they will see a drop in sales. Plenty of other coffee shops nearby where you are not subjected to that kind of heat. No one wants to step inside a coffee shop (away from the heat of a NYC summer day) and be met with the same if not worse conditions that are outdoors. FIX THIS.
This once-good coffeeshop has lost its way. The drip is frequently bitter and stale (even during the morning rush), the service is slow and scowling, and it remains very expensive. Here’s hoping it returns to form.
Cozy space, nice staff, fancy machines, ceramic cups, fairly good pastry; disastrous coffee. I ordered a cappuccino and let the cashier pick the milk as I always do. I assume it was whole milk as 99% of the time that's what they pick, but maybe they used some of that other flavourless white stuff that simply ruins coffee - oat is the current trendy one. In addition to that - the espresso was weak and bitter at the same time - quite a feat! If you don't order espresso based drinks, and you want to go to a nice, vibey cafe, this place is great. If you're looking for a reasonable facsimile of a proper Italian coffee, skip it...
I don't post reviews much but seriously! I don't get why this is rated so highly. The food might be great I guess...didn't try it. All I know is I ordered a flat white and it came in a 12oz cup instead of a 6oz cup with twice as much milk in it as it should have had, the milk was tepid and turned my stomach and the espresso was burnt. For $4.65!!!! You would expect a perfect drink at a place which charges that much. Definitely won't go back...lots of better options in the neighbourhood where you can get a nice strong, flavourful, balanced coffee for less. I would avoid this place if you are particular about drinks being made properly. I give it two stars because the atmosphere is genuinely nice. Only reason I went in is because It was inviting and I needed to use the restroom and sit for a bit to read something, and my top favourite coffee in the neighbourhood (Laughing Man) is only takeaway.
I ordered a hot chocolate and it was just Meh. Nothing special or crafty on how they make their hot chocolate. It tastes like over the counter powdered chocolate, and the milk over powered the chocolate. It should have been the other way around. Their chocolate chip cookies are not warm. The place has a nice vibe, modern atmosphere, but nothing special about the food quality. Keep in mind that I only tried the hot chocolate and not the food.
Oh God! A juice for $10, meal for $20, unless you buy a "salad" in the box from the fridge? Don't even think of going to the bathroom here. It was really filthy. This place might be popular, but my avocado toast was too salty, super spicy and did I say overpriced? Food is served into to-go box by default, which I personally have a huge problem with. If you can't serve my toast on a porcelain/glass/ceramic plate, I'm not coming back
This used to be my go-to place, but the employees’ perpetual frowns and the lack of enthusiasm from management to fix anything broken have made me question the quality of food and coffee. Their AC has been out for years, and their door has been broken for about a year. What’s happening here? I’ve had to stop coming because it seems like the owners don’t care about their employees or customers at all. They just want money. What a shame! I’ve overheard people leave the shop ask how something small like fixing a door can go unfixed for so long. It’s really bizarre for what everyone thought was a decent establishment in Tribeca.
Coffees pretty good, but criminally overpriced (at least the drip). Also, the cups always leak when you drink from them. Not sure what’s going on but it’s very annoying. Better off with one of the many coffee carts in the area.
The food is great and coffee is very good but when I specifically asked for vanilla syrup and did not get it in my coffee. I asked for some and was laughed at from the male barista after i said for a fact i asked for vanilla. Seems silly to leave a review over vanilla syrup but the man has a disgusting attitude.
The blueberry scone was cold and didn’t have much flavor. The chai latte was also unimpressive with little flavor. I wish I went to Qahwah House instead
One of the weirdest vibe cafes I’ve been to. When you walk in there’s just the vibe like you’re intruding lol. The staff seem like they hate their lives and are openly judgmental of customers. Not to mention the service is always PAINFULLY slow. First time I went there I ordered a latte. Waited about 15 mins for it. Left the cafe. Tasted it. Returned because the barista had clearly just ran hot water through ground coffee that had already been used. It tasted burnt. I used to be a barista years ago so I know a burnt coffee grounds taste lol. Another time I went I got a turkey brie sandwich from the fridge. In fairness it was pretty good. Got the Hawaiian smoothie .. very bland. Tasteless. Kinda bitter as if there was lime juice in it. Couldn’t finish it. Again service was painfully slow. $26 for the sandwich and juice.
Coffee is decent but getting to work all drenched in it is not ideal. Should have learnt my lesson from the first time this happened. Saw another customer dropping cupful into garbage because lid kept sliding off. Get better ‘to-go’ cups and lids. I’m off to smelling like caffeine all day. My clothes and backpack got stained.
Might as well check out at a self kiosk no one here greets you thanks you or takes your orders. I have to drink my cold coffee and listen to the workers conversation from the back out of sight. As you can see no one stays near a register and greets people. Let down coffee was cold and tasted old.
