This place is my absolute favorite every day lunch joint. It has the staples so that it's not so extravagant to eat at every day. But they also switch it up with specials that change daily in case I'm in the mood for something exciting. Plus almost everything is made from scratch in house and the owner is there each and every day talking to the customers and making sure quality is always up to snuff.
I love the water feature! I get the daily special when I come here and they don’t disappoint! I can recommend the quesadillas on Fridays and then the chicken sandwich and the broccoli cheddar soup also hits the spot.
Solid Deli, had the Jaclyn Turkey on Cranberry. Delicious and fresh! Friendly service and the best part, no annoyance no tip screens!!!
Finally stop by today for lunch. I’ve been meaning to do so since my son moved into the building. I shared a hot sandwich (Francisco) and a cup of soup (chicken wild rice) with my wife. It was delicious and plenty for the two of us. My son had the quesadilla special, which was also excellent. I’m disappointed that I didn’t stop by sooner, and I certainly will stop by again!
This is one of the hidden gems of Minnesota! This location is tucked, I wouldn't say its hidden but it's tucked in a great location. Prepare to circle the area for street parking, there is a parking ramp near by but you'll have to walk a bit to eat. I will say, this place is well worth the walk. Customer service is top tier, they treat every customer like they're the only customer even in a jam packed location. The food is outstanding! I would take this spot over Potbelly's, Subway, and Jimmy Johns! They offer so much for a wide spectrum of customers. There's so many items and so many menus available. I'll be ordering catering from this place for by org as much as possible. Once you go, you'll be hooked. The space is maximized with seating, looks like they want you to have meetings here, gatherings here, and stay awhile. It's a bit tougher to grab and go. You truly have to shuffle and dance with customers when you're grabbing and go. Let me know what you think!
Great box lunches! We ordered 40 box lunches for delivery and it worked perfectly. The desserts were outstanding, the salad was cut/prepped for easy public eating, the halved and wrapped sandwiches were delicious. The gluten free options were just as good as the regular sandwiches. The delivery team called just as I’d requested. Everything was delivered on time. I highly recommend C. McGee's Deli.
I work in the North Loop, and there are only two places to get a lunch under $15 bucks, sometimes even under $10 and this is one of them! And these are good lunches, fill you up lunches. I have never met a sandwich here that i don't love, the daily specials are inventive, tasty and priced right and the staff is amazing. I mean it, they have out together a tight group over there, everyone is fun and friendly, they've help cement this as my favorite lunch spot in the neighborhood! OH! And the breakfasts! They have the staples ranging from omelettes to smoothies and cheap, hot, strong, good coffee. If you haven't been yet, you owe it to yourself to change that, stat!
This place is fantastic! The food can take a bit of time (including smoothies somehow), but I have never been displeased with any purchase. The prices are competitive with the area, however you can find some financial steals on the menu. Breakfast, sandwiches and smoothies are all well above average. The only downside, they are located in a business/residential building, so their hours are not great including no weekends. The staff is always cheerful, which is a great start to any dining experience.
Regarding the atmosphere and location, they do have a dining area but it's on the smaller size, it's also not really a place that I would hangout and chill at. It seems like it's more like a convenient place for the other office business in the building to get lunch, than a place I would get together with friends. The service was professional and wait time was short. Regarding the food, I wish the portion size was bigger or it was a couple dollars cheaper (but you can say that for a lot of restaurants nowadays). The meat did have a good taste to it, but for the price I wished they included a small bag of chips, they did include a free dill pickle. The other reviews made it sound like this place made the best sandwiches ever, but it was alright. But there's just so many more and better food places nearby in the North Loop area that I can't see myself coming back here or even recommending it. I would suggest Fuzzy's Tacos or Ramen Kawae in the North Loop Galley nearby, that have equal or better food and do have a more relaxing atmosphere and lounge area.
Great place and food but they totally missed the online order and misquoted on the ready time once I arrived. If u order online don’t trust the ready time- call and confirm, then call again.
Mediocre gas station tier sandwich for 15 dollars. It’s a place to sit and eat though.
Ordered delivery for lunch at 10am and they cancelled at 11:41am. Now I am without lunch, and out $80 until they process my refund for three sandwiches. Insanely annoying, will never eat here.
Service is not great. I also found paper in my sandwich. I ordered a sandwich and waited for about 20 min for it to be prepared. I was curious why it was taking so long until I realized they had placed the sandwich on the table behind me without alerting me. To top it off, while I was eating my my sandwich I found a piece of paper in my sandwich. I looks like it the paper that the meat comes on when frozen. Not a great experience unfortunately.
I’m a chef from Chicago, I’ve worked under some of the best Chefs in the world. Since living here in Minneapolis, I’ve only eaten at a few restaurants where you can taste the love and passion in the food. I’ve cooked for celebrities and professional athletes up here in Minneapolis. However, this food was totally garbage. I spent almost $30 for two corn beef sandwiches and they screwed up my entire order. The sandwiches were really small/thin. I wanted them on wheat bread and they made them on white bread, they forgot to put the mustard on them and I went over the order with the cashier twice and they still messed up my order. It was my first time going there and will be my last. The food doesn’t look like what is being advertised. What a bad look!!!!! P.s, “When you feed me bad food you get a bad but honest review from me.” Truly, Chef Charles..
