5:30 a.m. - fresh baked gluten-free pear cardamom, ginger scone and a perfect cafe au lait with an absolutely fantastic barista. What a great way to start a day!
Great local atmosphere and good coffee. They also bake the pastries fresh everyday onsite Early opening hours which is great if you’re going fishing!
Stopped in for hot coco and pastries, left super happy. The hot coco was absolutely delicious and I’m very particular. The pastries were excellent. We will be back any time we are in town.
I needed some coffee and I looked on Google maps and drove to this little place. It's in the back of a parking area and very unassuming. However when I walked in it smelled like a bake shop, and I was greeted from the back like the owner was creating something wonderful in the back. The coffee was very good. The best part, though was the blueberry coffee cake. I don't even like blueberries typically, but I was hoping they were fresh. The blueberries were more than just fresh, the entire cake was delicious and melted in my mouth. Highly recommend this place.
Excellent little cafe for pastries and coffee! Delightful owner. Get something to go because you’ll regret having only one!
I go to Bodega Bay at least once a month. I look forward to getting coffee and a pastry here. Great food and great coffee.
Excellent morning stop before a bike ride! Great breakfast pork and bean burritos, and solid blueberry coffee cake (a little on the sweet side). Service is super warm, like a cozy blanket 🙂
One of the best Macchiatto lattle i have ever had.
Great coffee shop and tasty pastries.
Amazing pastries, lovely coffee, and kind service! Thoroughly recommend. The pastries appear to all be baked in-house, which is very impressive! They are incredibly good.
Thank you for opening at 5:30 A.M.! I got up at 5:00 to go visit the eagles nest. Left home without coffee 😱! A very nice gentleman in a sailor’s hat and Roadhouse t-shirt was sitting in one of the 2 chairs so I sat in the other for a few minutes to visit and sip on my Mexican Mocha as it was very thick fog and drizzle outside. ( I saw a bench too. ) Cozy place to be. The pastries the young woman made were so delicious!! I got a Cherry Almond Scone and a Blueberry Coffee Cake with a lemony custard in the middle. Nice surprise! 😋 Kinda wished I had sat longer and enjoyed the company.
No much is open before 9am around here on a Sunday. The coffee was great. I had a white mocha and it was not to sweet. The blueberry cream cheese coffee cake was out of this work. Went down to the dock sat for a quite morning. Will go back.
The pastry. Outstanding chocolate croissant. Ginger/cardamom/pear scone. Limited selection made fresh daily. The pastry. Oh, yes, the coffee is also excellent. Hidden away behind the Bodega Bay Inn, it's worth the visit. And the pastry may vanish quickly. + Art & etc on the walls and shelves.
Very eclectic coffee shop in beautiful Bodega Bay. Not a tone of room so you may have to be prepared to take your order to go. Had the Mexican Mocha and a scone. The mocha was delicious and not too sweet. The scone was very good and still warm! And the staff was super friendly to boot. Pro tip: if you are going to eat don't get there too early as they put out pastries throughout the morning. I missed out on some tasty looking cinnamon rolls as the scones were the only option when I got there.
Small cafe a short distance off the main street through town. I first stopped in years back biking down the coast. Visited again camping in the area in the summer of 2020 with family and it was as if nothing had changed. Legit espresso drinks from people who know what they are doing if you appreciate such things. Try the Cubano if you want something a bit different. The pastries are excellent too. I still remember the berry scone I got on my cycle trip.
Superb coffee shop, not something you always find off the beaten path and we’ll worth the stop. A couple rugged looking old timers were chilling there with their coffee, the barista working hard while watching the cutest baby ever. The coffee was excellent as were the pastries and the “gayest coffee shop in town” sign made my heart melt. Beautiful place. Total gem.
Undeniably the best coffee in Bodega Bay. Charming atmosphere, great staff, and there are small gifts and other things you can pick up too. They accept Apple/Google Pay and all major credit cards. There are also scones and homemade pastries. Definitely coming back during our next stay!
Fantastic latte, delicious baked treats and a charming stop on our trip.
The service was excellent! The gentleman that served us was very attentive. We had coffee, tea, breakfast sandwiches and coffee cake. Everything was delicious
My favorite coffee shop. Always great people and food/drinks.
This family-owned Cafe is exactly what I was looking for. It's hard to find places that sell Chai Baba Chai, but Roadhouse does and I'm so grateful. The homemade pastries are clearly made by hand, with Love and fresh ingredients. The cage inside is small, but here are picnic tables outside and eveyone was kind enough to make space.
This is THE spot to get coffee in Bodega Bay, where the locals go. Great coffee and pastries, super friendly people working there. The seating is limited and cozy, and it’s nearly impossible to not chat up with the stream of locals that come in. Grab a drink n bite, relax, and enjoy the start to a great day from the uplifting people you meet.
Quick and quiet.... staff was helpful place is just right for a coffee shop. Scones were very good and delicious!!! Mexican coffee was the right choice... like coffee and hot chocolate mixed.. location is good.
The blueberry coffee cake was insane! Sooooo good. Good vibes all around.
Eclectic little coffee shop with a small parking lot. We stopped by early on a Sunday and didn’t have problems parking. There was one person ahead of us. Lots of flyers and info to look at while you wait. A few chairs inside and outside. You could have your dog outside but it’s pretty small space so if it’s a big dog like we have, they might not fit. The pastry case why is that there is no heavy machinery used in there baked goods. You could taste the freshness. We have a chocolate croissant and a blueberry cheesecake Coffee cake. Both were excellent. Cashier was friendly and efficient.
Some of the best coffee cake I’ve ever had. Clearly fresh made, tangy, not to sweet, and perfectly spiced and filling. Coffee was good too! The woman working was very nice and efficient. Would recommend if you’re in Bodega Bay!
A hidden away gem, in a hidden away location, but definitely worth the efforts to get here. The owner reminded me of Santa Claus (really), what a cute place. Just be patient since he was by himself, but efficient. Loved his cappuccino and the almond croissants which we were told was made by his daughter, including the almond paste. It was so good, we bought two more to go.
Amazing coffee and the best I have ever had of any of the baked goods they offer. The blueberry coffee cake was just to damn good! Oh and the cat is a boss!
cappuccino with unsweetened almond milk was good. Barista was so nice and friendly
Best coffee shop. I drove Al the way from Canada through the coast and this coffee is the best!! Soft taste and delicious flavour. Nice music. Made with ❤️❤️❤️
This is a very cute coffee spot with the best coffee and a great collection of breakfast items. I got hazelnut oat latte and loved it!

Excellent coffee expertly made and unbelievable almond croissant made at this tiny charming coffee shop owned by a friendly warm young couple. This is the way an Almond Croissant should be made! Please come to Oakland and teach the bakers here. Lovely and freshly made pastries daily.
Been there twice, when camping nearby. I like it a lot. I'll be back next week. I drank my coffee and ate my wonderful pastry there, both times. Last time while persuing a book in their collection, Long Walks in France--which is going to happen!
We needed coffee and saw this coffee shop on google when we looked up coffee shops. Glad we chose this one. We will definitely stop back by when we are up there again When we walked in the dioor we were warmly welcomed by the owner and told it would be a couple of minures because he was alone at the moment. We had just seen the other barista going into the buildings shared bathroom. It only took a few minutes for my rose latte which was delicious and i had an almond croisant that was amazing - flaky crust and the almond paste was so good I would have bougjt a jar to eat. The others at the coffee shop were so friendly and some drive hours on a Saturday morning to go up there for a cup of their coffee and a piece of their homemade pie.
What a treasure this place is! James was kind and welcoming, playing some great classic jazz and he prepared the best cup of coffee I've had anywhere, bar none. The cherry scone was delicious, a pair of gracefully aged wing chairs in the corner invited us to relax and we were delighted to find this perfect little spot. Well worth the drive to Bodega Bay no matter where you are coming from. Just felt good being here! You will, too.

Good drip coffee, good pastries, decent cappuccino, very friendly staff, fun funky vibe to the place, good music. Apologies, no photo to go along with the tasty Blueberry/Cream Cheese Coffee Cake - it was addicting and perfect to share and goes really well with coffee.
Decent coffee, highlight was the blueberry coffee cake. Husband made us go back the next day to get them again!
Amazing vanilla oat milk latte. Pricey but so tasty. Like that they offer dairy-free options, they had almond, soy and oat milk. Really bummed that the pastry case was completely empty. Especially after seeing all the great pictures in other reviews. No breakfast for us on our beach day. Coffee got us through though and we found scones down the road at another shop.

Stopped in on our way out of Sea Ranch. Had to get the blueberry cream cheese coffee cake- delicious and holds up to its reputation. Friendly service and can’t wait to come back to this side of the coast.

Barista was nice and welcoming but coffee was more burnt than a Starbucks. Got a latte and cortado with a banana walnut muffin. Chef’s kiss to the muffin as it was delicious and it became clear why we got the last one. Would not recommend the coffee but worth a try for the backed goods. Grab coffee down the road.. anywhere else.
My wife and I stopped and ordered the following: -two 12 oz lattes (mine which was made halfway, not even full) -an almond croissant -a banana nut muffin We wanted a small-town coffee shop vibe, anticipating affordable drinks/food, but somehow these FOUR items were $34. The man taking our order and making it seemed intoxicated or something, he was very all over the place and was confused by what we were ordering. Before he even rang up the order on the register, he immediately said the total was $34 even which didn’t make sense given what we ordered. There was a line and he was working at a slow pace so I didn’t want to add to the frustration of people behind me, so I requested to have the receipt texted to me and noticed there was no breakdown of the charges because it didn’t make sense. Hoping the business will reach out to me to resolve this after I tried through the receipt website and haven’t heard back.

Ordered vegetarian quiche. The older male server insisted it did not have bacon because he says he has one row that's vegetarian and one row that's bacon but I could clearly see bacon in it. When I ordered decaf coffee he told me if he made decaf it would sit around all day. Nowhere to sit down because there was a circle of tables and chairs with one older man at each table and they complained about everything in life including where to get free showers and how every town has a terrible smell to it. I think they meet regularly there because it's a nice free warm place to be early in the morning. This stop definitely was not uplifting to start my day.
Can't comment on the coffee or food because unfortunately we didn't stay long enough. Our turn to order and no eye contact from barista, non verbal, not even a smile or greeting. Staff looked absolutely miserable. I decided to leave. We love Bodega Bay and visit every year was looking forward to finding coffee close to where we stay but will not be going back to this shop
Our visit started out good but took a downward turn when I discovered that the ham in my ham-n-cheese croissant had black moldy spots on it. I showed it to the girl working there and she didn't even apologize or offer a refund. She just said "sometimes ham has black spots on it" (!?) and said they bake everything fresh everyday (which I seriously doubt based on this experience). And even if the bread was baked today, that doesn't mean the filling ingredients are all ok. This ham had clearly gone bad, and eating bad ham is dangerous. This wasn't like the charred edge that roasted ham gets, this was circular black rotten spots in the middle of the ham slice. Sick. I suggested she check her meat and left to go throw up at my hotel room. Sad end to Valentine's Day weekend. :( I hate posting negative reviews, and if she had responded more compassionately and professionally, I wouldn't have posted this. I hope they take this feedback as a learning opportunity and do better in the future, with their food safety and their customer service.
Went here with my wife to get coffee. We saw that they had baked goods that looked really delicious, but then noticed a bunch of fruit flies orflieng insects all over the baked goods. I still got a coffee and when I went to put sugar and creamer in it there was a bunch of ants where you add them to your coffee. Whe paying for my coffee I noticed how dirty the floor and under the counter was..... like hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I hope I don't get sick from the few drinks of coffee I consumed before realizing how dirty the place was. Be aware
Many flies in the pastry case, barista forgot our order, and none of the coffees were good. Very watery, dumped them out later down the road.
