Casa Arpino is a café-restaurant with great food, great service, great atmosphere and very reasonable prices. No wonder they're quite busy. A good sign is that a lot of patrons are loyal locals which demonstrates they're getting a lot of things right. We started off with a 'tagliere' (literally a wooden cutting board), a big rectangular platter that was heaped by about 5 types of cold cuts: salami, mortadella, coppa, and 2 kinds of ham. I eat a lot of cold cuts and these meats were superior, which was a pleasant surprise because a lot of places will try to wow you with quantity or presentation only for you to realize they just served you some industrial low grade stuff. The platter included a good amount of bread sticks (grissini), wedges of a good mild cheese, and cubes of a spinach omelet. I couldn't believe it only cost 9 dollars. My Italian friends ordered pasta Amatriciana and were VERY pleased: they say the guanciale (roughly, a kind of bacon) is key to this dish. The quantity was also abundant and they brought us a nice, big wedge of cheese and a really good cheese grater so we could make it 'snow' on the pasta. Casa Arpino is in the town of Bra so it's no surprise that they offered burgers with Bra sausage, which is made of veal (vitello), and this is the dish I ordered. Although Bra sausage is traditionally eaten umcooked, these burgers were cooked, and served with sweet sauteed red onions, with a copious side of french fries. They were delicious, juicy and tender. The fries were good too, not underdone. Like a lot of places in Italy, the condiments they give you, mustard, ketchup, mayo, are in little packets; I would prefer fresh-made, but you can't have everything. The hamburger buns were good too, later I found out one of the owners is a baker and runs a separate bakery which explains why their baked goods are so fresh. One of us got a nice octopus dish (polpa) served on a bed of mashed potatoes, and we also ended up ordering a secondo of Guancia, which was a big hunk of calf cheek, with a nice dark brown sauce, succulent, rich. We accompanied this feast with a couple of bottles of Prosecco and 2 bottles of red wine, including one that really stood out, not sure if I remember correctly, but it might have been 'Angelo Nero.' Finally, we had a hazelnut tart, a typical piedmontese desert (after all, this is the land of Nutella!). This was a great meal and a great time. The service people were attentive, very friendly, and fast, even though the place was cracking full inside and on the terrace, and there were no mistakes on the order.

We had a great meal at this little restaurant. We sampled some Piedmontese specialties, such as the veal with tuna mayonnaise and the spaghetti with Bra sausage, which were very good. The service was excellent, and the waiter was very friendly. I recommend it.

This is where most of the action happens in bra for the fancier kids in town. Dress up in your lounge-bar best. Beware, this is one of the crowd hotspots of the weekends and there will be a lot of people there. They screeb for green passes at the door and it'll be a little more chill inside.

Veniamo spesso nelle Langhe e il nostro punto di appoggio è Bra. Casa Arpino è un posto che merita. Cocktail buonissimi, drink curati e serviti con aperitivo in ottimo ambiente. Siamo, nonostante la distanza, venendo dal lago maggiore, diventati convinti clienti.

Breakfast: My croissant was quite dry, but the spread was really good. The pain au chocolat and apple tart were a bit small. The cappuccinos were made with a less-than-stellar Decathlon coffee and soy milk. The outdoor seating was a bit too slanted; you couldn't sit properly, so you had to lie down. The price was in line with other cafes.

Right in the heart of town. This café/bar was always busy when we went past. Service was good and staff were friendly. Food and drinks were all very good. We stopped here several times in the week we were there for both food and just drinks.

I expected more!! Historic establishment, right in the center of Bra. Staff at the counter criticized a customer "sitting at the table," not caring about the other customers listening. It's not done!!! Discreet Moroccan. The greeting is there, but you don't criticize a customer in front of another customer; you're not at home gossiping mercilessly about your brother...

Bar in centro Bra,colazione in giorno di mercato,quindi parecchia gente.Dopo una lunga attesa(lamentata anche da altri commensali) ordiniamo un caffè un succo e un croissant…dopo circa 15min si presenta la giovane cameriera con caffè croissant(bruciacchiato sotto e aperto in due quasi totalmente) e bicchiere vuoto senza succo….la ragazza dice: ops ho dimenticato il succo ve lo porto subito!…dopo altri 10min la ragazza esce a pulire i tavoli e sparecchiare…non c’è traccia del succo! Ci alziamo e in cassa riportiamo il bicchiere vuoto dicendo dell’accaduto….risposta della X niente gentile signora in cassa?….potevate chiederlo sapete c’è casino stamattina Addio!

Pollo crudo senza scuse, ci siamo recate in questo locale convinte di avere un pranzo gradevole, invece ho trovato nella mia insalata di pollo, un pezzo totalmente crudo!!!!!! (NON POCO COTTO, INTERAMENTE CRUDO). Così decido di rivolgermi alla cameriera, che non ha nessuna reazione al riguardo. Dopo sono andata dalla responsabile del locale, che sapendo l’accaduto non ha nemmeno deciso di recarsi al tavolo, al chiederle spiegazioni o semplicemente una scusa, lei ha risposto con :” QUAL’E IL PERICOLO DI MANGIARE POLLO CRUDO?” Senza scuse c’è ne siamo andate dal locale. Un posto da non tornare mai. Non consigliato Spero che non mi abbia intossicato… altrimenti in NAS sanno dove andare.

Sono proprietario di una struttura ricettiva nelle immediate vicinanze(150 metri fa qui). Domenica 6 ottobre mi sono recato al caffè Arpino assieme a tre amici venuti a trovarmi dalla Liguria, per bere qualcosa . Due di loro hanno preso un acqua tonica, un altro una birra rossa media ed io, una birra bionda piccola: totale 17 euro!! La ragazza si è presentata senza uno scontrino, quindi oltre ad aver fatto un prezzo palesemente più alto, non mi è stata fatta nessuna ricevuta fiscale. Avete trattato come 'turista' una persona che ha sempre parlato bene di Voi e vi ha sempre mandato clienti. Mi regolerò di conseguenza. Grazie!!!

Absolutely avoid. They let us sit at a table, then we ordered, and 10 minutes later, before even serving us, they told us we had to leave the table and go to the counter because someone was having lunch. Apparently, they didn't think our toast was considered food! They should have just told us in advance. Not to mention that the toast arrived, after we'd asked, 10 minutes after our cappuccino, which had gone cold in the meantime. Reading the other reviews, I see we're not the only ones who had a terrible experience. It's a shame I didn't read them first.

I wanted to have a coffee in the evening. They wouldn't serve me, I don't know why. I also wanted to eat lunch the next day, and there was plenty of space, but they still refused. I don't know why (maybe they don't want foreigners), but they leave you waiting outside without asking or explaining anything. You say hello, and they don't respond. The table was dirty, and the service really needs improvement. I don't recommend it.

I don't know if it was a bad day guys. But 35 minutes for a toast and running around aimlessly with few customers on a Sunday morning I think is a flop. I understand that you missed the order. But the best was the lady at the cash register, eating chips and random things behind the banknote, handling money and then touching the takeaway toast. HACCP needs reviewing... Zero professionalism and much less apologies. If you don't want to work, do something else...!!

I saw the sign for "pasticceria" and wanted to have a nice aperitif with homemade appetizers. We ordered two glasses of Ruché. The waitress insisted we order "un Piatto," so we ordered it. Two glasses of still white wine arrived. We told the waitress we'd ordered two Ruché. She said "yes" and left. The "Piatto" was just chips, etc., and we were truly disappointed.
