Qué dicen los clientes de Chipotle
Lucille's in Brea is a popular BBQ spot with a lively atmosphere. While many enjoy the ribs, brisket, and sides like mac and cheese, consistency is a concern. Some customers have experienced dry meat and slow service, especially when busy.

What a treat. Deviled eggs and onion straws were great way to start.! That combined is crazy good and sure to please taste buds you forgot about. Ribs were deli-cious. Cooked perfectly. Didn’t even need to add sauce, but had to play in all 3 flavors, for sport! The bartender is very professional, cool and etiquette you don’t see in many fine restaurants. He’s the real deal. Thanks for an amazing experience, on the way to work I go, large and bbq charged!
I don't like pork very much, but the pork here is amazing. Delicious, fat but not greasy, lean but not dry. Recommend everyone to come.

My favorite location of all Lucille’s! I’ve been coming to this location for over 20 years and service is always great! Enjoyed some delicious bbq baby back ribs, old fashioned and some tasty biscuits. Love their steaks as well.
If you don't mind paying a premium for Southern-style BBQ from a restaurant chain, Lucille's is a fun and satisfying destination. The Locale: Located right off the 57 Freeway on Imperial Highway, this Lucille's is clean with an enjoyable aesthetic. It's made to look like a mid-20th century smokehouse. The Service: The entire wait staff is friendly and competent, but our server, Erika, was exceptional. She made excellent recommendations, was quick to respond, and brought what we needed even before we asked for it. I can't compliment her enough. The Food: My dad and I shared the Feast for Two package in which you pick an appetizer, entree, and dessert from a set menu. We chose fried onion strings for the starter, pork belly, sausage, and baby back ribs for the main course, and chocolate cake for the dessert. The fried onions were good but were so intertwined like Velcro that it was hard not to spill some eveytime we tried to pull a few strings off the plate. The pork belly was moist with a nice layer of fat (that's a good thing with this choice!). The baby back ribs were solid. And the sausage was genuinely spicy and juicy. Oddly enough the chocolate cake was too sweet and not dense or moist at all; it fell apart every time I tried to cut a piece off. My wife orders the country fried steak, which was yummy. Her veggie sides were just average though. The Price: This is where it hurts. The price of everything on the menu has seen to gone up since the last time I visited. Including tip and taxes, our meal for 3 people came out to be more than $100. This means fewer visits for us overall per year. Bad for us, bad for their business. The Conclusion: Lucille's offers a fun vibe and mostly delicious Southern-style food. But a few average dishes and the steep prices make Lucille's a place I would only go to for special occasions.
The food, service and atmosphere is really good and at a reasonable price. This is my third time eating at Lucille’s and each time has been consistently good. We all have our favorite BBQ place; however, Lucille’s offers very good BBQ with lots of menu options, a large bar and a facility that can accommodate small to large groups.
Out shopping with wifey and we decided on Lucille’s for late lunch early dinner. Was looking forward to tasty tender BBQ. The service was great. All the staff was super friendly and the wait times were relatively small. Granted we were eating at that glorious hour before the dinner rush. The biscuits are still great. Loved drizzling honey on mine. The pork belly ends are great. Tasty served with crisp butter pickles on a slice of toast - yum yum. The trip tip. Well that didn’t meet the expectation. Was a little dried out. Not tough and chewy just not pull a part tender. Overall a still a great place to meet up with friends or have a nice meal. The sound track is great. Really good music selection.
Lucille's is always good food and nice atmosphere. Usually it's extremely busy but I went on a Tuesday night and got seated right away. I had the brisket sandwich with coleslaw. Both were good.

Barbeque foodie haven and a whiskey watering hole. Plenty of variety of whiskey and bourbon spirits to choose from to pair with whatever smoked meat selection you choose. The manager even gave us a small lesson in how the meat gets cooked in their giant smoker. Food was delicious. The three combo plate is enough to share for two. The ribs are spectacular! So flavorful! The mixed drinks were refreshing with a perfect ratio of alcohol and mixer. One suggestion to the serving staff is to allow time between the pre dinner drinks appetizer and actual dinner serving. We felt pretty rushed and overwhelmed when our drinks, appetizer and dinner entree all came at the same time. Didn't really have time the cool atmosphere of the restaurant, and company.
I was there for dinner. We had reservations. I was the first person there and the gave me the table and said they would send the of the party to the table. Didn't happen. Sad start. Food is okay. I have had better but good BBQ is hard to find. Portion of food was really small. I was surprised as it was a bit costly.

We ordered the Beef Ribs and pulled pork, Trout, and Glazed Salmon. The glazed salmon didn't have much of a glaze on it, and it was kind of dry. The trout was okay. The beef ribs were good, but could have been more tender. I think Wood Ranch or Claim Jumper's were both better. The pulled pork and the onion strings were the highlight. So, kind of a mixed bag... I'd still come back, but probably try something different.

We came here on a Friday around 3pm. I ordered ribs and tri-tip. The Tri-tip was dried out like it was sitting ubder a heat lamp for a long time. The ribs covered thick with bbq sauce and were just ok. Cole slaw i didn't care for, butthe corn bread was good. Service was good. The inside was kind of a cool Southern Country type of ambiance. The price is high considering the quality of the food. If you're just looking for good BBQ there are better places around.
Ordered 1/3 rack of ribs with 2 sides & a biscuit to go. With tax & tip $33. Price a little high but I splurged. Staff was great, attentive, checked to make sure everything was in the bag. Sides & biscuit so good. But ribs were dry, like beef Jerky. This is why I rarely splurge at places like this. Was not worth it!
So I'll preface this by stating I've eaten here a fair number of times and generally enjoyed my experiences. Yet this location seems to be a mixed bag. The food's decent, though lacks consistency; sometimes, it's too salty. Other times, it's under seasoned. Sometimes my plate comes with a hearty piece of fried chicken. Sometimes it's surprisingly dainty and obscured by a giant stack of roughly diced carrots. The prices are fair, especially if you partake in their many frequent deals. Drinks, however, are way too expensive. A lemonade shouldn't cost half the price of an entree. I've generally been ecstatic with the serving staff at this location. Friendly, speedy, helpful. Sometimes, however, potential customers wait too long at the door for a host. I have seen people walk out after 3 minutes of standing around by the entrance. Tragically, this review was inspired by my latest experiences with their desserts. Usually, I order dessert at the restaurant, eat a tad, then package the rest for home. Even partially eaten, it usually puts a hefty dent in one of their medium tubs. Today, I simply got it to go. Hours later, too my surprise, they'd barely added any pudding to a smaller 6oz container. Maybe half full. 3oz of banana pudding for 9 bucks. 4 spoon fulls. Not impressed, Lucille's. I know it's typically, and significantly, larger when served in house. Given the joys of inflation plaguing our wallets, where we choose to spend our money matters. The minimalist dessert portion may have been a mistake, yet it felt as though someone took the opportunity to maximize profit potential assuming I'd be well across town before I discovered the chicanery. Will I go back? Sure. Shamefully, I really enjoy the food when it's at its best. I wish they'd do better at putting forth that best. Let your wallet consider well if it's okay with medicority.
I ordered online and just went in to pick up, the staff were friendly, service was fast, and the restaurant had a wild west theme to it which was cool. The food though, absolutely sucked, specifically the meat. The Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and buns were delicious, but we got the family meal, which comes with two types of sausage, ribs, and chicken. The first type of sausage was ok, then I had some ribs and they were full of gristle and bone and the meat was super dry. The chicken was dry, the skin was hard, and barely any seasoning. Lastly was the second type of sausage, some sort of red sausage... I took one bite and immediately spit it out. That was the most diabolical thing I've ever had in my mouth, and that's a lot to claim cause as a mechanic I've had gasoline, diesel, coolant, motor oil, and a slew of other things in my mouth that you would think are worse than sausage. It tasted like black pepper, oregano, Dawn dish soap, and musty beef jerky all rolled into one gritty paste, absolutely disgusting.

Our server was friendly and attentive. But Jesus, that was the worst barbecue I have ever had. Dry, tough, flavorless. I didn’t even like the flavor of the sauce. I know I have high standards as a Kansas Citian, but SoCal, you can do better than THIS.
I couldn't believe the food i was served. Appetizer -Smoked Pork Belly Burnt Ends ill give it a 3 out of 5 Dinner was ST. Louis ribs 3 out of 5 and Texas-Style Beef Brisket I give 1 out of 5! Texas-Style Beef Brisket was so dry and hard! They replaced it with slightly less dry n hard! I sat there n watched it start drying!
I originally really liked Lucille's BBQ baby back ribs but here at Lucille's the food and service are really bad. The ribs were not tender and my party's ribs were not enough so we had to wait a long time for the server and wait again for the manager before we could get another menu. I will never go there again.

I have had decent service at this location the handful of times that I have been here in the past. But the service that my friend and I received here yesterday was just atrocious. The only reason I gave a second star was because the host was very friendly and polite when he seated us, but that was the highlight of the service that we received for the rest of the night. Our server was polite on the most basic level that you can expect from a server, but we barely saw her at all after she served us our food. Correction: she didn't serve us our food, a different server brought us our food. However, the table behind us, that she was also serving, which was a larger party than us, got a lot of her attention, and what was frustrating is that when she would come to check on them, she would not turn around to check on on us to see if we needed anything else or ask if we needed a refill on our drinks. But of course, you better believe she brought us our check with a huge smile and turned on the politeness at that time. Also, I ordered the Texas cheesesteak sandwich and it was terrible. If you didn't lift up the bread to look inside you wouldn't know that it was actually a sandwich, the brisket was dry, and the cheese tasted like imitation cheese slices that you would buy at the grocery store. This really was not a good experience. I probably would not come back based on my experience from last night.
I had the nicest staff wait on me. My waitress was very attentive and aware. I had the Duo that came with a fried chicken breast and a third rack of ribs. I had the mashed potatoes and vegetables medley. The ribs, potatoes and medley were very good. The gravy and chicken were way too salty. The chicken was batter and fried. The chicken came out too dark like it was fried in dirty oil. The biscuits were cold and half cooked. The biscuits were doughy in the middle. I mentioned to staff about the biscuits condition. They brought replacements but they were cold too. It was not worth a repeat visit for the price and quality. My visit was around 11am. It was not busy. There was no crowd at all.

I ordered the Family Meal for Four and upgraded the meat to two full racks of baby back ribs (+$9.50 each). When I opened the box, I honestly felt uncomfortable seeing the ribs already cut up. They were sliced into small pieces, about one or two bones each, which I really didn’t like. Since the meat itself was quite dry, it made the presentation feel even more disappointing. Not a single piece was tender or juicy. Considering the overall menu and portion, the price was reasonable. Next time, I’ll definitely ask them not to cut the ribs.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Lucille’s in Brea for over 20 years, and this was by far the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had there. My family and I came in for New Year’s Eve lunch and noticed that many of the items we usually order were missing from the menu. When the waiter came by, he explained it was a holiday menu. I acknowledged what he said and mentioned—politely—that it didn’t include a lot of the food we normally enjoy. His response was completely unprofessional and shocking. He said, “The Lazy Dog is down the road, just saying, and if you decide to leave you can use that exit door.” We were stunned. No customer should ever be spoken to that way, especially after decades of loyalty. Another waitress overheard part of the exchange and came over to apologize, which I appreciated, but by then the damage was done. We left and went to Lazy Dog, where we were treated with respect and had a great meal. I never expected to be dismissed so rudely at a place I’ve supported for over two decades. Sadly, this experience has made me reconsider returning to this location.
My family had reservations on Thanksgiving for 8 of us. To enjoy dinner with our family BUT. Our reservations was at 3:30pm. We were all there at 3:30. So we waited for our table At 4:00 my husband walked our and ask about our table. The girl said the server were cleaning it up So at 4:45 we asked again. Now it 5:00pm. And we were still waiting. So at 5:30 we were seated. The poor server was so overwhelmed We got our food at 6 00. The food looked like it was the last turkey in the restaurant The turkey was dry, the gravy was dry and looked like it the from last year. We asked for a manager and he Came said the restaurant run out of turkey Do go to Lucille on a holiday The staff cannot handle the load.0
