⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Experience at Urban Plates – Brea! Urban Plates in Brea is such a fantastic location — warm, welcoming, beautifully set up, and just an all-around great vibe for a relaxed but elevated meal. Everything felt fresh, thoughtful, and high quality from the moment we walked in. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was Cisco. He was an absolute gem and such an amazing asset to this location. He came over personally to make sure we were enjoying our meal, and you could genuinely feel how much he loves what he does. That kind of energy makes all the difference. As if that wasn’t enough, he surprised me with the most incredible chocolate chip cookie — and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was to die for 🍪🤍 Perfectly warm, gooey, and delicious. He also shared their dragon fruit drink with us, which was so refreshing, unique, and absolutely delicious — a must-try! The food, the drinks, the service, and the people all came together to create such a beautiful experience. I left feeling genuinely grateful — not just for a great meal, but for getting to meet such wonderful people who truly love what they do. I’m already looking forward to going back. Urban Plates Brea just earned a forever fan 🥰✨
This review is for this location as well as Adriana and Kim. They were nice & welcoming and the food is like having a nice home cooked meal. Not to mention I observed how clean they keep the space. Every time I come here I am well pleased.
I googled, "gluten free restaurants " and this place popped up. Their selection of food is big, their prices are reasonable and their food is delicious. I love that they label and actually check to ensure that the food is meeting standards for those with allergies or food sensitivities. We also had a gluten free chocolate cake slice and gluten free chocolate cookie. 10/10 service!
As soon as we walked into the location we were greeted with a big smile and a welcome in and it felt really nice to be acknowledged. The cashier (Jose T) was very helpful and patient. When I asked him if he could tell me what was in the mushroom stuffing he offered me a sample instead and that was so kind of him! Service was very fast and got our food in a timely manner. The lead in charge (Jay) brought our food over to us and asked how we were doing and stayed to chat for a little while. His kindness made me feel very comfortable and happy to be there. He asked if we needed anything and made sure we were good to go. He also came by to check in on us again and offered if I wanted another sauce since he noticed I hadn’t eaten the one that was given to me. He was very courteous and professional and I appreciate the amazing service from him. Definitely a great ambiance all throughout and can’t wait to go visit again!
This was a great find on Christmas Eve. I was over from UK and my kind host was taken a bit by surprise as his usual eateries had closed earlier than expected. First tick ✅ - Urban Plates had put their correct Christmas Eve hours on Google. As a lifelong foodie, I fantasised for decades about finding a fast food style place that served great food including lots of fish options, organic veg, grains, salads and healthy options alongside quality burgers, chicken and steaks: I finally found it. I opted for roasted sea bass with herb crust (it wasn’t very crusted but was very tasty and generous) with a lemon hollandaise, skin on fries, and roasted organic heritage carrots and beets. I asked for truffle aioli too, but this was missed off the order, but I’m not complaining: it wasn’t necessary as well as the hollandaise. As I’d spent the day marvelling at hummingbirds, i hsd hummingbird cake for desert. At the price point it was all excellent. I could imagine going for an even healthier option when I inevitably return: the salads and grains looked superb, and then a meat feast the time after. Great choice of beverages too, and - given that we were there in the last hour before Christmas shut-down - counter service was really friendly and helpful, though the chap clearing the tables was a bit premature and peremptory. The place looked like it had had significant throughput during the day and the floor needed sweeping, so not a perfect score for atmosphere, but the concept, food, menus and service were a joy to discover.
Hi, I truly enjoyed conversing with Jay and Owen. They were very patient and welcoming, which made the overall experience fantastic. My meal was good; the only minor issue was the texture of the mashed potatoes, which weren't thoroughly mashed. However, Jay was excellent and made up for the wait time by giving me a delicious cookie that I enjoyed while waiting for the cooks to finish my order. The wonderful service really overshadowed this small hiccup, and I look forward to returning!"
I’ve been coming to the Brea Urban Plates since it opened. My 5 star review is way overdue. Every time I am greeted with the warmest welcoming from all the staff members. Jay, especially, will go above and beyond to make sure that I feel like a part of the Urban Plates family. The impeccable customer service, along with the healthy and delicious food keeps me a loyal customer!
This was the perfect lunch date place. It’s calm and casual. Camila helped us to order and answered all of our questions. Our food came out great, warm, and timely. The music was low enough for conversation. The tables were spread out for privacy. I’ll definitely be back. 10/10
Fantastic first experience at this joint. We ordered our food, found a spot to seat ourselves, the food came, and we had a great time. On top of that the service staff were amazing as several different staff members came to ask if we had all we needed as we had a little one in our group. They made the entire experience as smooth as butter. The food was super fresh and tasty. I didn’t get to capture all the dishes we ordered as some folks couldn’t wait to dig in, but all the dishes were well presented to the groups liking. After we were mid-meal, one of the service team came through the seating area, handing out cookies to all the kiddos in the room that wanted one. And these cookies were gigantic, bigger than our faces! Needless to say, our kiddo had a much better time afterwards. The food here is great, but the service is what seals the deal for us.
Yummy, yummy! We had such a great dinner at Urban Plates tonight. Carmen helped us and she was AMAZING! Super knowledgeable about all the food and the drinks. She literally helped us try multiple drinks until we found the perfect ones. Total rockstar service! I ordered the steak with salad and beets (so good!) and B went full comfort-food mode with chicken fingers, fries, and mac & cheese. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were craving. Highly recommend stopping by… and if you’re lucky, hope you get Carmen! 🙌✨

The chimichurri was cooked to perfection and packed with amazing flavor. The tofu with the mild chili sauce was just as delightful, with a wonderful balance of taste. The portions are modest, but the pricing makes it feel just right. Overall, a fantastic meal that I would happily return for!

Absolutely outstanding experience! We went here for my mom's birthday and we had a great time. We had the salmon, steak, and soup bowls for dinner. I have to say that this food was FILLED with good flavor and we even got free cake/cookies in honor of my mother's birthday. The girl serving us was so sweet and went out of her way to make us feel special. Im honored to have come to such a nice place and am looking forward to my next visit! Cheers! (Also that cake was amazing- my mom loves coconut flavor and this really made her day ❤️. Unfortunately we ate the food so fast I didn't get any pictures my apologies 💀🙏)
I've tried a lot of their dishes here and none have disappointed! It's a good option when you're wanting something healthy & hearty. My favorite plates are the salmon with honey mustard, and steak with chimmichuri sauce. Steak salad is also delicious.
Today Francisco and Jay helped me with my Dine-in mobile order. Francisco notice I was sitting in an area outside where a lot of flies had been lingering and offered to find me a better table. Guest had just left from a table inside and he did me the favor of cleaning up the chair and table. Francisco was also nice enough to get my order moved to the correct new table. Jay has frequently helped me before and remembered from my previous pick-ups. He has always been friendly and offered extra assistance. I would recommend this place. I love their food and today I ordered a Beats + Avocado plant based plate with chili glaze tofu on the side and a cantaloupe pineapple mango drink.
I come to Urban Plates all the time, and having the Plate Pass makes it even better. Everything I’ve tried has been really good, but the beet salad is my favorite, it’s always fresh and full of flavor. One of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is Camila. She’s always super friendly and makes the experience better every time. She takes the time to check in, remembers regulars, and just has a great attitude. Huge thanks to her for always being so awesome! Good food, great service! You can’t go wrong with Urban Plates!
