Every time my wife and i go out of town and stop at a Sonic the more we appreciate ours here in Brenham. Elgin - A horrible horrible experience. Ordered on app and checked in and 45 min later. 45 minutes. They had to check back with us 3 times to see if we had ordered and what we had ordered 45 min later got our big order. 2 milk shakes. 5 cars in their entire lot. Thank you Brenham Sonic. You are by far the BEST !
I love the Sonic happy hour .I love that watermelon slush and their summer berry slush even moreso. Onion rings are fabulous big and juicy.milkshakes are heavenly in so many flavors. Service is great. And their hamburgers are good also. I am a regular at happy hour. What a great way to cool down in our hot hot Texas summer
I’ve been a Sonic fan for over 20 years! I’m new to Brenham since last summer! Y’all are the BEST! From Frito pies, to burgers, to the BEST drinks! Others just don’t compare!!!
The last 3 times, got cold fries, had asked for mayo to be left off the burger and to add mustard, but got mayo, no mustard, and also no peppermint in the bag (Really--that's what y'all are known for!). This has happened the last 3 times ordered on the app, and I'm in the parking lot when ordering with the app, so no excuse for cold fries.
Who can’t love sonic? Only complain that I have is the evening shift is quite a bit slower seem to be a lot of horsing around.
This location was good yet, it got very busy and there was a slight wait.
Bern eating here once and a while for years. I never think Ive had a problem here that I can remember. But I decided to leave a review, bevause the lady that works the window regularly is very friendly and efficient and deserves a raise!!
We ordered a small mozzarella sticks and a medium ocean water. Shawna, was very nice. She shared her favorite dipping sauce with us.
Fast. Was full of people and we still received our food in 5 min.
Stopped for lunch. Very quick service. Missed a hashbrown order, but they quuckly brought it out to the vehicle. Tried the chocolate shake and vanilla shake, both were very good. Had a children's meal with chicken tenders, hash browns, with a kids size chocolate shake. Also had a chilly dog with hashbrowns, and a regular hot dog with onion rings. All were tasty. Was a little after noon on a Sunday, only about five open spots to order from. Would visit again if plans allowed.

Always fast and friendly service! Last visit they forgot to add cream to my drink, and they fixed it right away! 😊
This sonic drive in was a quick place to grab a bite on my commute and while at work,they were fast to get my order to me and it was a large very large order for all employees at my job)and the carhop was just a good spirited sweet person he was very professional and kind to me and my niece and he made sure we had all our orders and the condiments and napkins that we would need!! Very very fast and a good place to stop if your on a limited break schedule!
Had two extremely nice carhops!!! I don't think I've ever been greeted better and I've been to a lot of Sonic's! These two ladies were just so sweet!
I come here often and normally get a Dr Pepper with a burger or chili cheese tots. The food is fresh and tasty every time! The carhops are so nice and willing to help with any issues. Service is quick and speedy even when the parking lot of full!
Went in to grab a quick lunch. This location was.very busy. The line progressed quickly. The staff was cordial at the drive through. The food is always great. With the intro of the broccoli tots which are so good. The fried cookie dough with soft serve is also spectacular. Great experience.
Went to pick up a dessert for my wife and I. I got the hot fudge sundae and my wife a blast to take home. The Sundae was great with more than enough hot fudge! My wife's blast was awesome as well! I had to taste it before going home!
Overall it was pretty good. Very little parking so hard to find a place to get out and eat without parking In one of their pull in areas. Service was slow, and the sitting area was kinda messy. Had great time with girlfriend and friend.
Charged the incorrect price the clerk was very nice when I questioned. The manager was rude arrogant and condescending
We had a two hour drive with a group of seven to Blue Bell Creamery and Antique Rise Emporium. After a long summer day, we just wanted to eat somewhere quick and get back on the long journey home. So I researched and found this Sonic with a good rating. Hence, I chose to drive a little more to eat something good. Sure enough, they didn't disappoint with my mobile order. I had ordered something from all day breakfast menu and it was taking long! My party in the car was getting impatient. I called in to check and the sweet girl explained that since it was not a regular menu they had to make it from scratch. That made my day! I had bad experiences at other Sonics but not this one! They didn't know our situation but kept us calm by answering very politely, even on the second call and got our food delivered fresh and hot! We had elderly people from outside US as well as a toddler with limited diets. They all enjoyed the food! Thank you Brenham Sonic!! Keep up with that best customer service!
I ordered a number 2 with fries and an ocean water to drink...also a small mozzarella cheese stick with ranch dressing...everything was good except the ocean water slush...an ocean water is typically blue coconut mixed with sprite... this drink was blue raspberry and I hate raspberry flavored anything...smh...When paying almost $17 and giving a tip to the carhop... I expect to have the correct drink...

My crispy chicken sandwich was way over cooked. Was like chewing on leather. Didn't even finish eating it. Drink and fries were great.
Lately I feel like the food has been overcooked, oily & salty. The drinks have not been as great as they used to be, I am not sure if its the city water but they taste funny. The tea tastes watered down. I ordered a drink on the app & asked for extra lemon which is $1. I got 1 wedge.It has been like this for the past year, so I dont go as much as I used to.
I love sonic don’t get me wrong but they give me the wrong order half the time. I ordered off the app a 2 for $5 meal, chili cheese frito wrap and a quarter pound cheeseburger, they gave me a medium mozzarella sticks. I’m honestly shocked. Those are two completely different things. On the receipt, it even showed “stall 5” but i was at “stall 7”
Stopped by Sonic on Day street-Brenham, TX after church on 11/26/23 for a five piece chicken tender order. Got home and one of the “pieces was about the size of a two inch pencil. No meat. It was a piece of inedible fried skin. Pretty pathetic that someone inside would actually bag that and serve it to a customer. I messaged the manager that afternoon. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right. I firmly believe in letting management know there’s a problem before going public. They can’t fix a problem if they don’t know about it. Two messages later and the manager can’t be bothered to respond. So, here I am. I know mistakes can be made. It’s how a business HANDLES those mistakes that reflects how they value their customers. Apparently, the manager of Sonic at this location just doesn’t care.
I went to Sonic two days in a row and was disappointed each time. The drink (during the 2 hour sale window of 2 -4 pm) was mostly ice. The menu encourages customers to individualize their drinks. When I asked for a diet cherry coke (instead of a diet coke), the price jumped 25 cents.
We had ordered on the app and they kept telling us we didn’t. when I showed her the receipt and order number. Then I said if you don’t have it can you just make these drinks and I’ll pay for them and the guy told me no and gave a rude remark and went and got the manager. Then the manager said was it ordered at this location I said yes ma’am and showed her then she went and got the drinks and this other girl handed them out and rolled her eyes and now every time I come she rolls her eyes. I was just a little irritated this is the first time they’ve been rude usually they are super sweet.
I went today and ordered 2 sausage, egg, and cheese toasters. When I got home, the kids opened them up and they were bacon! It wasn't that serious for me to go back and one ate it but the other doesn't like bacon. I realized that my first mistake was going to Sonic anytime after the morning crew is gone. I just don't understand how sausage sounds anything like bacon.
This location has one really good worker and that's Ms.Lynn, everyone else does not have the customers put as number one. They take forever answer the stalls, orders come out incorrectly or not even hot at times, don't give door dashers when you door dash order fully when they come to pick up. Doesnt matter what time of the day it is. The night crew is the worse. The only reason I keep going back is cause Ms. Lynn is literally there everyday and always makes sure you're taken care of properly. That woman needs a huge raise and the proper acknowledgement from the store manager, store, and company together. She's the glue to the Brenham Location.
Took order wrong, sent out part of our food and part wrong, asked to have it fixed... Took forever for someone to come talk to us. Tried to charge us for for the corrected food. When we told them it shouldn't be a charge they canceled the food. Finally after waiting for 30 minutes we asked for a manager. She told us she had cancelled the sandwich thinking it was a mistake. She apologized and finally sent us the sandwich we were missing. 30 minutes is a long time for 3 breakfast sandwiches and barely any apologies or anything for our time or inconvenience. Not good Sonic not good!
Horrible service today!!!!! Pulled up to just get a couple of drinks so we ordered online. Well it popped up on the screen that something went wrong and that we needed to push the button to confirm our order so they would know where to go. Well our button got ignored like five times. It took my husband pushing the button over and over for them to finally answer. Then it took another 15 minutes just to get our order. The screen just stayed on in the kitchen. Mind you all we ordered were drinks. I understand they were busy but the drive through went through at least 15 cars and the car right next to us changed 3 times. It was ridiculous how much trouble it was just to get two drinks. Do not recommend this sonic under any circumstance. Oh and also this is the third time this sonic has ignored the red button. Will not be back in the future!!!!
went to sonic about 15 minutes ago. the boy swiped my card more then twice after we said hold on. then when the right amount of money was on the card he swiped it , transaction went thru but yet he swiped again and it declined.. i then asked to speak to someone higher then him and he sent me a girl that proceeded to tell me there was nothing they could do about it after i showed proof that the money was took from my account. i do not recommend !!
Today, was an EPIC, FAIL for me! I asked for a route 44 lime slush, w/extra bursting bubbles, & extra real-fruit cherries! When I took my first sip, however, the slush was ice on top, sour lime juice @ the bottom! That’s NOT A SLUSH..it’s the taste of FAILURE! On another note, each time I order their pretzels through the app, IT CLEARLY STATES, that it comes w/a cheese cup! It NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME, that even @ OTHER, SONICS, their order runners have to make 2 trips, to go BACK for the cheese sauce! If it irks them so much, HOW, MUCH, MORE, do, they, think, it, irks, US, the, CUSTOMER?!😳 I’ll bet they hope we leave w/our incomplete order & drive/call back, later! What a MESS!!!!! I used to love you back in hs, but you’ve SERIOUSLY, SLIPPED!!!! DO, BETTER!!!!!
The Sonic is OK. It is customer service that is the problem. Years ago I stop going to Sonic because they took the hamburgers of the menu. The only way to get a hamburger was to pay for a cheeseburger and cut the cheese that you payed for. I started going back some and i downloaded there app. You could not order the jalapeño double meat double cheeseburger because it was not on the app. I talked to customer service and they said they would not put it on the app menu. They said you can order the double meat double cheese hamburger and add jalapeño to it. I just removed the app and stop eating at Sonic. Now I see why McDonald's and Whataburger has longer lines than Sonic.
My family and I went last night for my moms birthday and it was the worst visit I have ever had at a Sonic. We pulled in to one of the end stalls and I went to order the guy came on the speaker I began telling him what I needed and he stoped me and asked if I was going to order this much food could move to a closer stall. Keep in mind it was 2 of the 2 eat for 9.99. So I told him yes and moved to the very first stall. When I started to order this time he told me "that when people order that much food it is hard on the car hops to walk that far". So I finished ordering and we waited for our food. When they brought our food out it all fit perfectly fine on a normal tray in 2 bags and he said do y'all need me to read this to y'all it was the receipt to confirm the order. We got our food and the food was good but they didn't give us enough napkins so since they weren't busy I was across to the drive threw to ask for some and they all looked at me threw the window like I was crazy . One guy even looked up and then went back to what he was doing. I finally got the napkins and we ate and then left. But I will not be going back I have never been treated so rude.
Disappointed, is putting it very lightly to how I feel right now. Destiny is a very poor server and the service tonight in general was horrible. I waited almost 40 minutes for three drinks. Three f’ing drinks! Absolutely ridiculous.
Very disappointed with our meal tonight. This Sonic is usually pretty good, but not tonight. All of our burgers were missing tomatoes and the lettuce was soggy. Then the onion rings were awful...enough said.
We just pulled away from here. I ordered a Butterfinger Blast. What I received was a cup full of ice cream with a dump of Butterfinger bits on top. The candy is supposed to be blended throughout the ice cream. Big rip off tonight, and I don’t have time to go back.
Checked in for an app order and waited over 20 minutes for someone to bring a different order asking if I knew where it went. Took nearly 30 min before I got my order (2 same flavor slush and a order of mozzarella sticks)
Ordered a number 1 for my daughter. The drive thru is a bit of a wait... The short dark haired lady at the window has poor customer service skills...She is surely lacking in that department...She met the right one with me...Make sure when you dish it out, you can take it because I'll take it there...
Food was sub-par, mildly warm and definitely did not taste fresh. If there was a scale of 1-10 and ten be the greatest. I would give a generous 3 out of 10.
Went through drive thru on 12/23 and my bill was $10.37. I Used my bank card. Checked my account this morning 12/24 and they charged me not just the $10.37. But also $18.93. So $29.00 for 1 chili dog and 3 pieces of chicken strips. No meals just 2 items.
They cannot make the mozzarella sticks properly. They shouldn’t be soggy and full of oil.
I stopped by for a quick bite and went through the drive thru line. When I pulled up to the window, 25 minutes passed by & no one acknowledged that I was at the window. Due to this, I drove off and went to find a bite somewhere that I was valued.
Got a large coke from sonic this morning and was going to eat the ice after I finished the drink but I looked inside the cup and saw something black look like a piece of dead skin or something 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 !!! I am really upset !!!
Food stale, cold tots, and the staff has attitude a lot, not returning until they get a new owner
I just drove thru drive through (8/1/25) I ordered 2 crispy chicken sandwiches, got home opened the bag and there was an order of cheese sticks. Ticket on the out side says 2 crispy chicken sandwiches . Unacceptable 😖
About 12:30 pm on a Friday all of the stalls were full, so i got in the drive-thru line. The line was slow, but they were very busy. I finally made it to the speaker and nobody responded. I waited until all the cars ahead were served and still no response. A stall to the right opened up, so i pulled in there and pressed the red button. I saw the truck that was behind me pull forward to the window (I don't know if they ordered at the speaker or not. After I saw three vehicles move through the drive-thru with no response to my red button, I drove off. I love Sonic; I will avoid this one during the lunch hour from now on!
