Suggerito da amici abbiamo deciso di provarlo. É necessario il GPS per trovarlo e non è comodo per il posteggio. Però loro sono molto gentili e professionali. Alberto è simpaticissimo e ben preparato nel suo lavoro. La cucina è davvero ottima. Ogni portata (eravamo in sei) davvero eccellente. Il locale è piccolino ma confortevole. Soprattutto le sedie sono di una comodità estrema. Il conto in linea con la qualità. Non aspettatevi il fast food ma prendetevi il tempo di godervi la cena. Ergo, se avete fretta, andate altrove. Promosso a pieni voti. Bravissimi... ci torneremo.

If it were the first time one could say: “it was a lucky shot”. However when what appears an isolate fortuitous event is as matter of fact, part of a history of wonderful dinners and lunches, one knows that Osteria D’Alberto is the place where consistency lives together with quality and courtesy. There you will find a warm atmosphere, quality ingredients, treated with wisdom and competence, splendid wines, a careful and attentive waiting staff. Therefore do spare your lucky shots for other places because at Alessio’s all shots hit the bullseye.

I chose to stop by Trattoria da Alberto randomly, because it was close to the road I was, I a trip. We had batuta di manzo (like a steak tartare), polpetini di manzo (meatballs) and a primo piatto of pasta and it ended up by being the best restaurant I’ve tried within my last 8 years living in Italy. I definitely recommend it.

Last night we were at D'Alberto. First thing I'll say is to those who wrote about the narrow road. The road is beautiful, a couple of hairpin bends and you're there, and they're not narrow. Now let's move on to the restaurant. We arrive in this little village nestled at the foot of the Luino valleys. It almost feels like a mountain, I said almost. When you arrive at the restaurant, you walk through the door and find yourself catapulted into a soft, warm, and welcoming atmosphere with dim lighting. We're welcomed by Alessio, the manager, and his staff, who sit us down (let's face it, the chairs are super comfortable). Jazz music plays in the background, and off we go, the menu has just the right amount of dishes, not too many, not too few. Now let's get to the food; for starters, we tried pappardelle with black truffle and sausage and ravioli alla caprese with zucchini... well, what can I say? Homemade pasta, excellent flavors. For main course, fried perch that melted in your mouth, and the same goes for the lamb chops. And finally, the dessert you absolutely must try is the cantucci tiramisu, every bite tasted like being in a coffee roaster. The wine list is superb, and L'Alessio really knows his stuff when it comes to wine, and it's a pleasure to chat with the owner at the table. In conclusion, we couldn't have been better. Congratulations again, see you next time. I wanted to write a review like this because it's nice to share the experience so that it can transport people to what they experienced, not just say everything was good and that's it.

We had the tasting menu (appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert) for €49 each, which honestly seemed like a fair price for what we ate. The appetizers were delicious, with prosciutto sliced ​​right behind us, homemade pickled vegetables, fried gnocco, and so on. A creamy zucchini soup with pepper drops, a mouth-watering explosion of flavor! Then came tagliatelle with venison ragù, also very good, but I can't deny I've had better. Then, the star of the dinner for both of us: the meat, with a kind of fig jam. The two flavors together truly made us happy. A WONDERFUL dish! I wish I could have eaten less to fully enjoy it... 😂 I think the portions were just right for a tasting, not skimpy but not excessive. A little too much for me, but I eat very little of my own, so I struggled a bit. The dessert I had was the peach and lime semifreddo on a bed of amaretti biscuits, very light and delicious! The service was truly top-notch in our opinion, and the place was a bit elegant/chic. We both felt a little out of place with our cargo vans, but we arrived unaware we were going to eat in such a lovely place! 😅 Anyway, highly recommended if you're in the area. The roads are a bit rough, full of hairpin bends and climbs, but I'd say it's worth it... Thanks

Menus: As a vegetarian you have a few options. The welcome from the kitchen was tasty and intense. Mine without fish, my boyfriend's with fish on top. This was followed by a hearty salad and a heavenly safran risotto with a little gold on top and tasty ravioli. The first bite of my risotto - yum - made me instantly happy. The perfection of the spices and ingredients sent my taste buds into a frenzy. The drinks menu offers a well-curated selection of drinks, from Italian classics to excellent wines and innovative cocktails. Service: Staff were attentive, friendly and accommodating. If there is anything to criticise... it was that it took a bit too long to get our check - never mind. Atmosphere: Osteria D'Alberto has a stylish interior and a pleasant atmosphere. Overall satisfaction: Very tastefully prepared dishes with plenty of pep. One of the best restaurants in the area - Gambero Rossi approved. Friendly staff and attentive service... what more could you ask for? We highly recommend it! Thank us later.

Tonight we closed our holiday with dinner at Osteria d'Alberto in Brissago. A small restaurant in a small village in the mountains behind Luino. First class dining and we've been there from 20:30 to 1:00. The evening ended with host Alessio d'Alberto at the table who treated us after a coffee with grappa on a delicious glass of vermouth. It must be one of the best restaurants in the region and to me it has more than confirmed Italy's reputation as the number 1 country in the world in culinary area. Grazie Allessio and Italy !!! We'll be back ...

Osteria molto accogliente, personale disponibile e preparato. Piatti che spaziano da carne a pesce, porzioni giuste e saporite.

Locale con atmosfera molto particolare in cornice caratteristica (tipico paesino dell'Alto Varesotto), personale competente e preparato per i vini. Il proprietario è molto simpatico e si vede che ci mette passione. Forse servirebbe una maggiore illuminazione al tavolo, non mi piace mangiare quasi nella penombra (voglio proprio vedere bene cosa mangio, anche perché tendo a sezionare, tipo chirurgo, certe portate come la carne). Non è un locale con vasta scelta di piatti, circa quattro per portata ma le scelte sono curate, con buoni accostamenti. Non posso commentare i dolci perché non ho preso nulla, comunque sembravano molto appetitosi dall'aspetto. Devo dare tre stelle perché nel mio caso specifico, non potendo assumere latte e derivati, non mangiando pesce di lago e nemmeno agnello/capretto, mi sono ritrovata con una scelta un po' limitata. Dovrei riprovare a tornare quando viene cambiato il menù, con una scelta che magari rispecchi maggiormente i miei gusti personali e/o limitazioni di dieta.
