Dyckman in Hackensack!! They brought all of their best dishes but with plenty of parking. Had the ceviche it was wonderful. You can't miss the 3 Golpes and a coffee.

The restaurant is excellent! There aren’t many nice Dominican restaurants in this area that I know of, and this one is definitely at the top of the list. The service is outstanding—special thanks to Adriana and Kendy, who truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The music is at a perfect volume (not overwhelmingly loud like in other places), and the entire place is very clean. The food is delicious, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Dominican cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The food is good and the price as well, especially the combos. So happy to have found a Dominican place around my area. Highly recommend !

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here today. I'm always looking for authentic Dominican food. Ingrid, our waitress, was truly exceptional. She was attentive and offered delightful suggestions. The food was absolutely delicious. We savored the churrasco mofongo, the fried chicken mofongo, and the rabo,😜 which was outstanding. We certainly plan to return.

So happy to have such great food in Hackensack. The quipe is a must try , their Rabo mofonfo is to die for and last but not least their morir sonando, very tasty. Service is on point , our server Ingrid was very friendly and recommended the above to us . Very please with everything . We will be back.

Best Caribbean food I ever had in all Bergen County! The “Sancocho” was another level!! Delicious!! trust me on this one! Our waiter took excellent care of us throughout the evening—attentive, friendly, and professional. Thank you Ingrid for making our experience so enjoyable!

Amazing experience at Albert Mofongo! Just had dinner here and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Chicharrón Mofongo and my wife had the Shrimp Mofongo - both were out of this world. The texture, flavor, everything was perfect. The best part is, we haven't found a place that compares, no one makes mofongo like Albert Mofongo! Location is great, at 86 Anderson Avenue, Hackensack, NJ. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend! 5 stars without a doubt.

My original review was 1 star from the fall of 2025. I wanted to give them one more try, and it was AMAZING!!! On Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, at 11:30am, I decided on my day off to go out for some food. I passed Albert's Mofongo, thinking no thanks... due to really bad customer service from the front staff and food that was okay at best. But I ended up turning around and wanted to see if it was any better vs my last few visits. The front staff greeted me when I walked in and gave me a tour of their buffet. They were warm and welcoming. Next is the food, 10 out of 10, such a HUGE difference from last year! It was so delicious and not overly salted at all. Albert or whoever owns this restaurant, the front staff, cooks, and management have done an incredible job changing this restaurant compared to how it was last year. I will 100% come back to this restaurant.

This place is breath of fresh air for the city of Hackensack. I was totally amazed and impressed with the design, decor, and the clean and neat, and beautiful atmosphere. I was immediately greeted with kindness and a smile and felt so welcomed. Each staff member I encountered was courteous, kind, and professional. The food is absolutely delicious, the presentation is amazing, and the portions are more than enough to satisfy anyone's appetite. The authentic make up and choices on the menu are spot on and impressive, and the Chef is on point in preparation and final dishes. So, my compliments to the Chef for a job well done!! And my server Adriana was amazing as well. She was kind, polite, and knew each dish on the menu, and was able to answer all of my questions. She was as absolutely wonderful and professional. I hope to have her as my server again because I will be back many more times.

I was recommended to this restaurant and I am happy I went . First of all is BYOB which I loved . The food, service and atmosphere were excellent . My mouth is still watering from their mofonguitos, I had the shrimp ones and the rabo mofongo . The morir soñando which I never had was like a dessert. Very tasty . I will definitely go back .

Our waitress, Yngrid, was on point with suggestions tonight! The atmosphere and staff were amazing! A must try are the mofonguitos! I particularly loved the chicharon ones. I hope this establishment flourishes in Nj! This is a must try!

At first I thought the food was really good but when I got home I realized I had hair in my food and crunchy particles as if it fell on the floor or something I was very disappointed

Went here today and it was so bad. Chicken was given to my daughter cold. Tab was $190 for 2 seafood mofongos, 2 chinola juices, 1 water and 1 half chicken with rice beans and salad. Not to mention the taste was so bad.

Food was so dry. Service was SLOW with literally no one in the restaurant. Super Overpriced Everything. The Mofongo was dry and dense. The chicken was plain with no flavor. They charged us a 20% gratuity for 2 people who only got a meal and a drink. So we paid $84 (not including the tip we added because we hadn’t realized they added one for TWO people..). We didn’t enjoy our meals at all, the service was slow and I feel like I’ve been robbed.

Very disappointed. Mofongo was dry. Sauce had no flavor and chicken was undercooked. Best part of my visit was the 🍋‍🟩 water . Maybe the buffet is better? To top it off tip was included for 2 people. Need I say , this is not at the top of my list of places to go to.

The lechón initially came out cold, so I sent it back. When it returned, it was hot but unfortunately dry. To their credit, the staff brought me a completely new plate, and the second dish was much better. The lechón was more flavorful and properly cooked, although the mofongo was still heavily saturated with garlic. It’s possible that the kitchen was overwhelmed with our large party, but overall, the experience didn’t meet expectations — especially for a special occasion hopefully this was just an off night.
