Jerome & Joanne serve up thee very best of Pastry little Italy of the Bronx. Delicious Cannoli & Cappuccino. Not matched in the area. Cozy vintage style shop..
The Italian woman behind the counter offered me two types of cheesecakes. American version made with cream cheese and the Italian style with ricotta. I smiled, I am here, let’s try the Ricotta cheesecake. I liked it, the texture was moist and firm. She seemed surprised, I explained that I was once married to an Italian from Abruzzi. She offered to make me a decaffeinated espresso with a touch of Sambuca. Vhuntermassage LLC
Everything was amazing. The cannolis, sfogliatelle, and tiramisu were all super fresh and delicious. The person at the counter was the best—so friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back!
I have been coming here for years and the cannoli's never change always delicious and fresh with crunchy shell and sweet fluffy cream . 10/10 thanks Gino for amazing service for years!
I am an 73 year old Italian with an Irish last name who loves Cannoli’s. I visited Gino’s for the first time yesterday afternoon and stated simply, their cannoli is the best I ever had. Creamy beyond description with a shell that was crisp and fresh. Wish I could give Gino’s more than 5 stars!
What a wonderful pastry shop! Old school.. the same decor since it opened in 1963. The owner Jerome and his wife were so kind and made me feel so welcomed as soon as sat down! I ordered a hot caramel latte and their famous chocolate chip cannoli. The latte was served in a coffee mug similar to the kind I have in my own kitchen. Made fresh, nice and foamy. The cannoli was so creamy and served in a fresh hard shell. Sat and talked with them and their insurance agent for 45 plus minutes about all of the famous people who visited this bakery. Reminded me of my childhood sitting in my aunts house on a Sunday taking about the good old days! Definitely was one of the best times I’ve ever had in my childhood growing up with my Italian side of the family. Highly recommend this place if you like old school conversation comple with a hot latte and a delicious cannoli. I’ll definitely be coming back to Gino’s for a dose of good old family fun! Thank you for making this a great end to my visit in Little Italy 🇮🇹
Spontaneously stumbled into Gino's Cafè because the cannoli in the window looked amazing. And wow, they were! Filled freshly in front of us, perfectly creamy and crispy. But the sfogliatelle are the real gem here: a pastry that is notoriously labour intense, here made to perfection - perfectly flakey on the outside, with a great cakelike filling. It brought me more joy than I dare to admit. If I would live here I would go there every week and I would die a happier- and heavier - woman. Grazie mille!
The cannolis here might be the best cannoli I have ever had and the owners are very welcoming like other reviews mentioned! I ordered 5 large cannolis and I wish I had ordered at least 5 more to take home to my family in Boston because the first five were too good to save any and bring home, they were all eaten within a day!
If you're looking for old world charm Gino's Pastry is the landmark Pastry Shop in the little Italy Section of the Bronx. A Business keeping with it's Family recipes for Many years. The rumors are true. Super friendly owners who chatted with me about the history. And they had just (today!) released their opening day Yankees Cannoli Cookie! So tasty, warmed chocolate chip cookie topped with cannoli cream and then further topped with a mini cannoli. Impossible to beat, and the food was all delicious
Gino's Pastry Shop & Café - A Slice of Italian Heaven in the Bronx Walking into Gino's Pastry Shop & Cafe is like stepping into a charming Italian cafe straight from the heart of Bari. As soon as you cross the threshold, your senses are awakened by the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked pastries, espresso, and sweet memories. Jerome, the warm and charismatic heart of Gino's, greets you with a smile that makes you feel like family. His passion for his craft is undeniable, and it radiates throughout the shop. The walls, adorned with photos of celebrities (Can’t wait to see my picture added to the wall) who've stopped by, tell the story of a beloved neighborhood institution. I couldn't resist taking home three exquisite Panettone to save for Easter— * Classic - Light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. * Orange - A citrusy burst that melts in your mouth. * Limoncello - Bright, zesty, and absolutely divine. While soaking in the cozy atmosphere, I treated myself to a classic cannoli-and let me tell you, it was pure perfection. The shell was crisp, light, and had that subtle hint of cinnamon, while the filling was rich, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Honestly, l'd buy the filling by the pound If I could! But I didn't stop there... * Lobster Tails - Both the cannoli-filled and cream-filled varieties were flaky, decadent, and absolutely indulgent. * Sfogliatella - Layers of crisp, buttery pastry hugged a luscious, slightly sweet ricotta filling. Yum, yum, yum! * More Cannoli - Because one is never enough! And of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing some Torrone in all three flavors: * Forest Fruits - A fruity, chewy delight. * Classic - Timeless and nutty. * French Caramel - A rich, buttery indulgence. Every bite at Gino's is a celebration of tradition and flavor. This is la migliore pasticceria italiana-the best of Italian pastry, cakes, and candies. Whether you're savoring a cannoli on-site or taking home a box (or three) of treats, Gino's guarantees that every bite will transport you straight to Italy. If you are in the Bronx, Gino’s is a must. Don’t just visit—experience it. Sip an espresso, savor a pastry, and become part of the Gino’s family. You’ll leave with your heart full and your arms loaded with sweet treasures. 🇮🇹
I made the extra effort to go here rather than Manhattan’s little Italy for my St. Joseph’s Day Zeppole. I got the ricotta version. Delicious, not too sweet, with a hint if lemon and chocolate. The pastry itself was also excellent, if a bit soft, but the softness was because I came late in the day. Will definitely be interested in revisiting next St. Joseph’s Day.
We visited the amazing and legendary Gino’s Pastry Shop in Little Italy in the Bronx! What an amazing time we had talking to Jerome and Joanna and a few people we met who are regulars. The Bronx Tale cannoli is outstanding and the Cappuccino’s are to die for! I’ve never had a cappuccino taste so good…. We had to go back later in the afternoon to get a second one! Lol! This is a throwback to the old Pastry shop with great customer service and the best pastries and cappuccinos anywhere! I highly recommend a visit to Gino’s Pastry Shop and bring your wallet and support local!!! If I could give it 10 stars I would! Also take a walk around Arthur Avenue and see what it is all about! We will be back again in 2024!
Hands down the best Cannolis I've ever had. No question about it. Again I'm thanking John Barr for his channel as I never would have found this place!!! I met the Owners and they are beautiful people inside and out. There is a very cool history about their shop. It's been open For over 64 years. They got to meet my wife and 2 boys. They were so very kind and hospitable. I will come back the next time I'm in NYC.
Exceptional pastries at ridiculously low prices making it clear via it is one of the best Italian bakeries and treasures in Little Italy. Don't let the humble looks fool you as it did to me the first time. Our favorite items were the cannoli (filled when you order it), macaroons (a bit sweet but delicious) and the chocolate mousse. Most items are under $2 (items sold by weight) but there is a $10 minimum for card payment.
