Got the chicken curry and goat curry with roti and it was sooo flavorful and delicious, definitely would from here again
Best doubles in the neighborhood, never dry, consistently amazing. Their selection is small but it reflects the amazing quality, everything is delicious, and the prices are great. Just wished they were open later so I can pick up food after work!
Look, it's a place to get some cheap eats and quick... Don't expect top of the line for $2...

Good curry chicken Lg plain roti without peas Good customer service I wouldn't mind coming again. Despite the mixed reviews it wasn't so bad.
Their food is improving. Ordered dhalpuri got busupshot. Potato was scarce and a bit salty. They would not even answer their phone. I don’t know who gave them great reviews. You have no clue how food should taste.

I went over with some of my friends here. I don't know what we got since one of them ordered but it was good it was one of the costumers that made the experience terrible. We were a group of four, three of us Chinese. After we got our food we were chatting and eating. This other customer was very happy that Chinese people were trying their food. We had a short conversation with him and then he asked if he could take a video of us. We allowed him to start okay asking if we liked the food and what it was. Then he started saying "no more Chinese food" and other words along that line. We were starting to get awkward and stopped eating and turned our faces away. He got real close to one of us and started telling us to lick our fingers. My friend was not comfortable doing so and shook her head. He kept pressuring her to do so. So we packed up and left. This is my first time stepping out of my comfort zone and try foods that is not in my culture. So it left a really bad mark. I'm not too sure if I'll go back.

First off the restaurant is never open at 7 am ...never ....traveller to come here and here I ask this lady what time it opens she was very rude and didn't want to answer..as if I'm begging her for money.....why is it sometimes these restaurants have workers that are Soo rude...I guess the owner really doesn't care!!!
I had the bussup shut with curry potato and tomato choka. The roti was too greasy and tasted/smelled like it was made with old oil. The potato was tasteless and lacked flavor. The choka however, was actually somewhat good compared to the other items. It was too inedible so I had to unfortunately discard the entire meal. I’m really disappointed in this as an option and representative of Trini food in Brooklyn. Hopefully they improve or close down, respectfully.
This establishment offers exceptionally poor service. Observed a small roach crawling. The owner's sister displays a concerning lack of hygiene, as she is seen digging in her mouth while attending to customers at the front. Additionally, her demeanor is unfriendly and discourteous, particularly towards both customers and children. I will not patronize this business again and strongly advise others to avoid it as well.

Well I first went there the curry chicken roti was good went there again and the curry goat wasn't too much hot pepper way too much where I couldn't eat my food and I am Caribbean and my food looked all mushed together and how do you add hot pepper to salad which is supposed to be refreshing
I tried to order 3 different things on the menu only to be told they don't have it. Finally I was told everything they had either was chicken or with curry. I left out of frustration because everything I did not want on the menu they had but nothing I wanted on the menu was in stock.
Why will the owner put this rude person to take care of customers the heavy set lady she is driving your customers away You ask her a question she always on the phone and when she wants to answer you so nasty she is not even trini. Come on owner you can do better
The most disgusting place to be, order from or eat at! The Debe East Indians from Trinidad and Tobago should be ashamed, to show there faces or advertise their poor representation of true Caribbean flavours, aromas, food and delicacies. Real Trinibagonians don't do NASTY! The paratha roti I got was a quarter serving and salty and the dhalphuri roti had no peas filling, tasteless, drenched with the aroma of recooked oil and if you reheat within 1 minute the roti auto-converted into a weapon - Advisory: Do Not Eat after Re-heat! Debe kitchen take zero pride to upkeep their establishment, no ventilation and the food display was a tragedy to look at, seating area tiny and greasy. Dried food stains resonates on the curtian cloth they use to cover over the dishes. No dish warmers invested to maintain warmth for meals and keep away bacteria, food just cooked moved from back room to a cold front room. My eyes lingered on the cooked pumpkin that springed a lot of water with pumpkin strings, and the channa (chickpeas)and potato curry sat aging with cracks on the surface from the cold. The owner/manager/server cared little to keep up his exterior appearance. He looked more dishevelled than the dishes. One thing they kept true to their inherited culture is hiking up the price on everything and dishing out nasty customer service (wah yuh want?) - the colloquial meet and greet. If you have NO National Pride or forgot what that means to people from the Caribbean, close up business, otherwise the newly elected from 2024 will gladly do it for you! January 2025: I pre-ordered 24 dhalpuri and 2 paratha (USD72.00) for a next day lunch party and to this moment all my guess and I regretted it! I should have just walked out and leave the order behind, but I just thought that maybe, a small maybe the roti would save face from disgrace. NOPE!
I've been to this establishment several times and have recommended them to several of my friends, however after my last visit they won't get another cent out of me. The salt fish has absolutely no flavor, the bake is soggy and hard at the same time, I don't even know how that's possible. The tamarind sauce tastes like it doesn't have a lick of tamarind in it. My friend purchased a bake and sailfish and a doubles, the doubles were beyond inedible. The smell of the channa put me off completely, however i tried it and didn't even want to swallow. My friend and I returned to the establishment so that she could voice her opinion on the doubles in a very respectful manner and we were told "there's something wrong with our mouths". Listen I don't run a business but I am very familiar with the customer service industry and that was not the way to respond to two paying customers telling you that the food was not up to par. Go to bake and tings around the corner.
I ordered a chicken roti, but when I tried to eat it, the roti collapsed as they put too much sauce in it. I went back there and asked for a refund or a re-wrap, but instead, I got mocked and laughed at. The lady behind the counter tried to tell me, "That's how roti is when you wrap it." As if I don't know what roti is. I am a Trinadadian and have had possibly thousands of rotis in my life and even know how to make roti. I didn't appreciate the disrespect nor the attitude when I asked if they could re-wrap it. I ended up having to ask for an additional wrap to do it myself. I was walking out calmly when the lady who made my roti tried to make a slick comment, talking about, "Maybe the roti is too big for your hands." This solidified that this was not the place for me and a terrible place to spend anybodies money. There are many better places to eat. I recommend you go to Ali's roti shop on Fulton instead.
I stumbled upon this restaurant and thought I would give it a fair chance, besides the reviews weren’t too bad. Unfortunately, I now understand why they are only 2/3 star. Firstly, I ordered 5 doubles I noticed the Channa was thick and dry, not the consistency for doubles at all, but I’m hungry, my kids are hungry and I was being hopeful that the taste will make up for it. NOPE!! It was awful, the Channa was not tasty neither the sauces…another MAJOR problem their prices are not consistent with their menu board. On the menu board a doubles was $2.00 b4 tax and at the register the lady charged me $2.50 each before tax she said that was always the price since they opened, I didn’t make it a problem just know I would prefer buy else where than to go back their again… as a true Trini totally not worth it. The actual dine -in experience, the AC is broken and we are in a heat wave and whilst eaten… a homeless lady came in the restaurant and shouted at me in gifting my kids…so there is no security at all when dinning in
If zero stars could be rated it would definitely be suitable for this place. Called the phone number posted, spoke directly with Mukesh on 11/19/22 - to be precise. I asked to place an order for one dozen dhalpuris to be picked up on the afternoon before Thanksgiving. I was told by Mukesh that it was not necessary to place an order for one dozen dhalpuris, since it is a small order I can just walk in and purchase. Just to be on the safe side and be sure I can purchase said order, I again called and spoke with Mukesh on 11/22/22, to which I was told not to order, walk in and purchase. I complied walked in on the eve of Thanksgiving prepared to purchase one dozen dhalpuris, to which I finally met him in person, to be told, "I am sorry, this is my bad I do not have any to sell to you." What a waste of time and worst yet disappointment to my family. Should probably go back to actual Debe and refuse customers order.
I went today For a Roti I was told to wait because they didn’t have the curry chicken available it was a five minute wait I waited about 20 minutes why was the inside of my chicken pink worse then a medium rare steak waste of my money forreal 2 bites had to throw way imma stick to Ali’s
