A terrific discovery in Brooklyn. We sat in the back garden and had a great time, despite a July day that hit 90°. Each dish was delicious and good looking. I especially loved the branzino I got. We split three vegetarian appetizers and they were perfect. Our waiter, who has great taste in pearls, provided terrific service. The Black Manhattan one of us ordered caught the eye of multiple diners at other tables and one of them ordered it, too. Would love to come back. CAUTION: There were one or two mosquitos buzzing around — bring bug spray if you sit in the back.

High End Italian: Homemade Pastas, Modern salads & appetizers, good wines. Brooklyn vibe without the old style white tablecloth feel. Back yard on a nice night. Sundays - Small Live Jazz Band & Chicken Parmesan Special Price point is high, but very good for a special night.

I was little skeptical when our friends invited us to this restaurant. It was great experience and delicious food. Definitely try the squid and the pork belly. Branzino was delicious. If you would like truffle pasta, get the one with shredded truffle, was much more delicious then the other option (forgot the name). It had too much overwhelming cheese on top. Burrata was good.

Fantastic! Buenísimo! Delicious mouth watering pasta, flavorful textured salad and a duck to die for, made this a truly great meal in this intimate space. The back room is quiet and rustic with a view of the yard. The front area is sleek and modern. The service was really great! Hey friendly and knowledgeable. All around this restaurant is clicking on all cylinders. Come and enjoy. The duck does take an hour to cook BTW, but it was incredible and worth it.

The food was just as good as I had imagined it, super fresh, moderately generous portions, everything cooked to perfection. Every pasta dish we tried was really tasty, but the garganelli were really to die for. The yuzu cake was definitely the winner. Creamy, sweet & sour, velvety and delicious 😋 However, I'm not sold on the skewers as a concept, it's just one grilled, tiny piece of seafood, I don't believe there's really anything special about it. I would have liked more options for the appetizers instead. The restaurant is quite beautiful, rustic, simple, cozy and elegant, great atmosphere. and we were lucky enough to be there on jazz night. Loved the service, everyone was nice and professional, they didn't rush us but they were attentive. Great experience overall, I'm definitely going back.

Have lived around the corner for two years and finally popped in for a bite. Wish I had tried this food sooner!! Every plate we’ve ordered has been delicious and full of flavor. My personal favorites are the black garlic squid ink calamari skewer, and the agnolotti, which is truly one of the best dishes I’ve had this year. Cocktails are great, too. I’ll be coming back for more soon!

Fantastic restaurant with a great in-door atmosphere and outdoor patio at the back. We went on a Sunday evening as a group with a small baby, with live jazz from 6.30pm. I highly recommend the trout tartar and burrata for starters. The staff were amazing, when it started to rain they swiftly moved us to a seat inside. I'd highly recommend. The pasta dishes are a great size, with an excellent cocktail and drinks menu available.

Honest Review of Ammazzacaffè Atmosphere & Service: 10/10 We grabbed a late 10 PM Saturday night Resy and the space still felt welcoming. The bar was spotless, the decor stylish but comfortable, and the service was excellent. Josh was warm, attentive, and service never felt rushed. Presentation on every dish was elegant and thoughtful. Starters : 9/10 • Sunchoke ($22): Beautiful salt-baked prep with hazelnut pesto, yogurt, and apple. Creative, layered, and earthy. • Barbabietole ($19): Roasted beets with smoked ricotta and pickled figs. Gorgeous on the plate, subtle on the palate. It was balanced but leaned more refined than bold. Mains : 8.5/10 • Cavatelli ($30): Crab, corn, Sungold tomato, coral butter. Fresh, seasonal, and well-executed. It was light yet rich, a summer-forward pasta. • Linguini ($30): Cockle clams with ramp pesto and yuzu kosho. Briny and bright, with a nice pop of citrus. Well-made but didn’t quite deliver a “wow” factor. Drinks : 8/10 • Hazy Tropics ($17): Tropical, refreshing, and slightly smoky. A solid cocktail. • Espresso Martini ($17): Smooth and well-balanced. As expected, no complaints. Value : 8/10 Subtotal: $135 With tax + tip: $179.32. For two people, it’s on the pricier side, but aligned with Williamsburg dining standards. Overall Impression : 8/10 Ammazza Café delivers excellent service, gorgeous plating, and a stylish, clean setting. The food was thoughtfully prepared, but none of the dishes quite leapt off the table as unforgettable. Still, it left us wanting to return and explore more of the menu. A great dining experience. The experience was elegant, and enjoyable, even if the food didnt completely blow us away.

I absolutely adore this cozy little restaurant--easily one of the top Italian spots around! Ammazzacaffè offers an impressive variety of pasta and dishes. Here's what we tried: - Salmon and steak tartare: Both were delicious, served with perfectly toasted rustic bread on the side. - Agnolotti: Rich and flavorful, topped with shaved Parmesan and a drizzle of balsamic--absolutely delightful. - Quadrotti ravioli: Stuffed with braised duck and mushrooms, this dish was the star of the evening. Packed with flavor, perfectly moist, and an absolute must-try. - Anatra (dry-aged duck): As a big fan of duck, I was excited for this dish, but it fell a bit short. I wasn't a fan of the farro coating on the duck skin. - Tiramisu: So creamy and decadent--an excellent dessert. - Yuzu cheesecake: A perfect balance of flavors, not overly sweet, with just the right amount of yuzu. They also offer a $12 caviar bump with any cocktail, but we opted for the mini martini--it was amazing and well worth it! This spot is perfect for a date night or an intimate gathering. Highly recommend!

Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere out on the patio. Appetizers split were burrata and meatballs which were both spectacular. The Agnolotti was delicious. Wine/cocktails were a little expensive but worth it to pair with the delicious food.

Great little Italian joint. We went on a. Sunday for patio jazz and the chicken parm. Great wine and cocktail selection and the fresh pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente. Come hungry or share the chicken parm- two full chicken breasts on top of pasta. Also loved the Burrata with eggplant tomato jam

The ambiance at this restaurant was lovely, with the added bonus of outdoor seating. The service was exceptional—our server was incredibly patient and attentive throughout the evening. However, the food did not meet expectations. The pasta dishes, priced around $25, were served in very small portions, slightly undercooked, and the flavors lacked cohesion. We left quite hungry! While I appreciate having had the opportunity to try it, I likely wouldn’t return.

We popped by Ammazzacaffè on a Saturday night without a reservation, so we ended up at the bar. Service was just fine but the vibe felt more midtown Manhattan than Brooklyn. The pasta was a bit tough — especially the Tortellini. I also tried the Gramigna, but it wasn’t much better. The Lattuga salad was the highlight of the meal though. Overall just an okay experience.

Used to be one of my favorite weekly spots but the portions keep shrinking and the prices keep rising multiple dollars per dish. ~$30 for a protein-free very small pasta dish. Service has declined in the last year or so as well. Overall, I no longer recommend it and have stopped returning.

Long story short this is not the restaurant it was when it was first listed on the Michelin guide. Ammazzacaffè was one of the first restaurants I went to when I visited Williamsburg 4 years ago. The experience, ambiance, service and food was a hit. Cut forward 3 years later and now I live less than a 10 min walk away and the only thing that’s the same about this restaurant is the charming atmosphere. You can reason the increase in price all you want but it should not result in smaller portions or a decline in service. I ordered the agnolotti to go tonight and what you see in that box is about 10 bites, compared to the photo they’ve been advertising for the last several years. I ordered to go because the last time I dined in the restaurant (3 months ago) I had to get up to ask for silverware and then get up again to ask for a new water carafe. To simply put it, not worth what you’re paying.
