5 stars on all counts!!! I started smiling the minute I walked into this restaurant. The atmosphere is so warm and clean and beautiful!! I wanted to eat everything on the menu, but I settled for ordering all of the appetizers… the food is beautiful AND delicious!!! Can’t recommend this place enough
We had such a nice dinner here! The food was very flavorful and both chicken shawarma and lamb shawarma were extremely tender. The falafel and hummus were also good! It looks a little like a chain restaurant but isn’t, and has a very nice homey feel with very friendly service.
Food is super delicious, interior is beautifully decorated and clean, and everyone who I've encountered that works here is wonderful. Such an absolute gem -- I try and get my lunch here once a week as a special treat and it always brightens my day. So much food packed into each container and the garlic sauce is unbelievable, I dream about it!
The place is very clean. I took my food to go. Didn't want to cook tonight! My kids enjoyed the fish and fries. It included a lemon on the side with some picked vegetables. I ordered also two kofta combo plates and not pictures is kibbeh because I ate those all on the way home! Because the restaurant was so busy, I had to wait some time for my food. It was worth it because I received a complimentary sahlab with pistachio topping. I thought it was rice pudding but it's something called Sahlab, more smoother of a consistency if that's what you prefer over rice pudding. I am able to cook many of these foods at home since I am Palestinian, but sometimes it's great to order food and not have to wash dishes! Will come back again!
Great spot in the neighborhood for a quick authentic Middle Eastern bite! Anything with the lamb is great (gyro or platter) Everything is fresh and made to order. The owner is the nicest person. Highly recommend.
I never post reviews but my goodness I got the chicken over rice- beautiful presentation everything was so fresh and could not stop eating it!!!! Highly recommend.
Excellent fresh Lebanese food that always has me coming back. Love their platter dishes. Just look at the photos and how delicious they look 👌
This cozy Lebanese restaurant is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is authentic and full of flavor. From the fresh hummus to the perfectly seasoned shawarma, every dish is a delight. The portions are generous, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Whether you’re craving a light mezze platter or a hearty meal, this place delivers. A must-visit for anyone looking for genuine Lebanese cuisine!
I love Barouk! It's some of the best food in the neighborhood. It's consistently delicious and full of so much flavor that I'm inspired to order something different every time I visit (my pic is the chicken kofta combo with rice and salad). I'm so happy I no longer need to hop on the R to Bay Ridge to enjoy Lebanese food because Barouk nails it every time and at very affordable prices. And the owner is one of the nicest people in the world! Support this local biz!
South Slope hasn’t gotten a clue about this DIVINE mouthwatering Lebanese/American food gem 💎 Slopers don’t need to go all the way to Bay Ridge for Lebanese food, which quite honestly, based on my experience, isn’t good as this place! A real chef is cooking, everything taste sooo good & made how it’s suppose to be made! the tender grills are perfectly spiced, even the sides are absolutely delish, unlike other places. Once you try it once you’re gonna keep going back or ordering again because the food is fantastic & I’m in the Middle Easterner that knows our food saying it. Wish I tried this place sooner, didn’t know I’d be surprised by this spot. Was hungry & had to run to R train so stopped for a quick bite & now I’m regular there. I even order from them 👌
Their falafel wrap is the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten. Plus there’s the nicest service there!
🌟🇱🇧Delicious Lebanese food (Family owned). Friendly customer service. Thank you 🙏🏻

Wonderful service and fresh ingredients. Will absolutely be back! The beef kofta was made to perfection, highly recommend this combo.
Wow authentic Lebanese food, desserts and drinks loved it. I recommend the mix platter as an entree and some hummus for appetizers with the kebeh. It’s a small place but very cozy and the workers have great hospitality. Def will be coming back to this hidden gem..
The food was amazing! The staff is awesome. This is going to be a new staple for me
Loved this spot for the hospitality and good vibes. The portions with two skewers combo plate is actually perfect. By that, I mean I wasn’t stuffed, and felt just right. Abdullah was a good guy and was very generous and gave my table some hummus and grape leaves on the house.
Best chicken over rice I've ever had, and the grilled meats and seafood in general are all extremely well marinated, grilled, and of high quality freshness. Desserts are excellent as well. Definitely slightly pricier than a food truck, but worth it for the space, service, and food quality.
Absolutely delicious! Our first time trying and the food was amazing. Very flavorful and plated beautifully, even for take-out. We loved everything we tried and wish we ordered more! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be a new neighborhood staple for us! Definitely give it a try.

This place shows what happens when everything works right. Their menu pricing challenges competitors. The kitchen works with only fresh components. The restaurant delivers total satisfaction. This establishment delivers outstanding results.
Abdullah was very kind and such a pleasure to speak to. I loved the overall vibes of the restaurant. Their menu had a lot on it, and I’m not sure I ordered the right things as the chicken was unfortunately very dry and the lamb shawarma tasted more like a gyro meat (which isn’t bad, just not the Lebanese flavors I was expecting). The sauces were really good (toum and tahini). Overall it’s good, especially for the price point and speed

I orderd the lamb shwarma and chicken kabob on pita . The shwarma was so so, the kabob had a weird dry seasoning, did not like at all. I might give them another try since they are around the corner from me. But was very dissapointed.
