The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff was attentive and kind and we really loved the food! We got the falafel platter and the green pitza- both were hits and we finished them completely. Had a Turkish coffee, which was mostly sludge halfway through so don’t recommend that as much, but the food and service is phenomenal.

Great food, fast service, nostalgic atmosphere. Tried a falafel sandwich and baklava. Both were delicious and full of flavor. Also, for tea lovers, their pure aromatic mint tea is worth trying.

Bedouin Tent – A Cozy Middle Eastern Gem on Atlantic Avenue Bedouin Tent is a charming, on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, well known for its comforting Middle Eastern cuisine and unexpectedly popular pizzas. It’s one of those neighborhood spots that feels authentic and welcoming, with a laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to linger. Atmosphere & Setting From the outside, the restaurant looks small and unassuming, with just a few tables in the main room and an open kitchen where you can see the cooks at work. The real surprise, however, is the backyard garden, which offers a much larger seating area. Decorated with vibrant Middle Eastern fabrics and colorful touches, it has an intimate, cozy feel that many diners love. Especially on warmer days. Service Guests are generally welcomed warmly and treated like regulars, even on a first visit. The service is straightforward and friendly, with staff happy to answer questions about the menu. While it’s not a formal dining experience, the hospitality is genuine, and small touches, like being offered complimentary mint tea at the end of the meal, make the visit memorable. Menu & Food The menu is not overly large, but it offers a well-balanced variety of sandwiches, soups, pizzas, and traditional Middle Eastern plates. Lamb Shoulder Plate: A standout dish, served with fragrant rice, hummus, or baba ghanoush (you can get both for a small extra charge). The lamb is thinly sliced and cooked through, perhaps a bit well done for some palates, but tender and flavorful for those who prefer it that way. The rice is spiced just right, making the plate hearty and satisfying. The hummus and baba ghanoush are different from the Turkish or Persian versions, earthy, smokier, and distinctive in flavor. Fans of Mediterranean food will notice the difference, but many find it refreshing and enjoyable, fresh pita bread baked in-house and perfect for scooping up dips as served with the dish. Pizza: One of the restaurant’s surprises is its pizza menu. The shrimp and tomato pizza stands out, generously topped and layered with a flavorful sauce. The crust is a matter of taste, those who like it thin and crispy Italian-style may find it softer than expected, while others love its texture and flavor. Either way, it’s a unique offering that blends Mediterranean flavors with a classic comfort food. Overall Experience Dining at Bedouin Tent is not just about the food, but also about the ambiance and authenticity. It feels like a neighborhood staple where friends and families gather. The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, and the backyard setting makes it feel almost like a hidden oasis on Atlantic Avenue. Final Thoughts Our experience was excellent. We came in for a late lunch before heading to a show at the Beacon Theatre, and Bedouin Tent turned out to be a perfect stop, warm hospitality, flavorful food, and a relaxed vibe. With its combination of traditional Middle Eastern dishes and unique pizzas, it’s the kind of place worth returning to, whether for a casual meal or to introduce friends to something a little different.

The second I walked into this place, I knew it was going to be legit as the smell took me back to my childhood. The real standouts here are the flatbreads, as they are baked fresh per order. The lamb leg sandwich was pretty good but the bread tasted a bit chewy and dense, but that could be because I took it to go. I’ll definitely be coming back to this spot to try more of their flatbreads

Had my birthday dinner at Bedouin Tent and it could not have been better. The food was so good, the service was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect. The back room is such a great spot for gathering with friends. Honestly this is the best spot in downtown BK and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Love this place! Found this spot when walking by on Atlantic avenue and the smell coming out of the restaurant was divine. Decided to stop and eat for lunch. My usual here is the sun-dried tomato pitza and my partner loves the lambajin pitza. The salad platter is great as well since you can mix and match 5 of their salads. Service is quick. There is seating both inside and outside in the back which is covered. If you are in the Atlantic avenue area...you must try!

In 1980, I went to Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. While on that journey, I saw many Bedouin Tents. In Jordan, I saw people throwing wheat into the air and then making bread. So, before I entered the Bedouin Tent, I already had an image of this restaurant. It is rather small inside, with outside seating in the back. The patrons are incredibly ethnically diverse, which really adds to the atmosphere. The wait staff is amazing. So friendly and engaging. They really work as a team. The Kitchen is open in he front as you walk in. You can watch them make the fresh pita. We ordered Hummus with Pitas, Falafel and a Pizza with Lamb. I had and Iced tea with a swig of Mint leaf. The Hummus is amazing, creamy and smooth. The Falafel is light and so tasty. I did not know what to expect with the Lamb Pizza. The crust is very thin and crispy and the lamb is a paste. It was so delicious. For dessert, we had Baklava with Turkish Coffee. Incredible combination.... The bill was very inexpensive and we were really full. This was an amazing experience for us. What a great place!!!

They have delicious Mediterranean food at great prices. I’m having the leg of lamb sammy now and added pickles and olives. It scrumptious! The citrus juice is pretty tart but also very good. I drive past here all the time but never stopped in. I was almost an hour early for my kitty’s vet appointment across the street, so I came here to eat since it’s my first meal of the day. I highly recommend!

This place is as authentic as it gets. Wow. Family from Jordan creating delicious delicacies right here in Brooklyn. The falafel was fabulous. Different then Israeli falafel and still so delicious. We also got the zatar bread and some Chummus. They are not afraid to use proper amounts of spice and flavor. The Chummus was absolutely real and delicious. Nothing else added. Creamy and perfection. The pita bread was perfectly cooked in their oven so much so that you want to touch it to your face. (if you don't know what I mean go there and you'll see) fluffy and pully and exactly the right amount of chewy. There's also a nice area out back to sit if you want. We got our food to go as it was a gorgeous day. We will most certainly visit again when we are in the area. Also we checked out with the loveliest man (unsure if owner) who chatted with us about our trip to Jordan and was so pleased we were trying his food. This place is awesome. Finally able to eat at the location. Got a plate of salads and falafel and lamb. All were fantastic. I highly recommend the tehina in addition to the hummus. Such lovely staff also. Next year I'll be back again when I'm in Brooklyn

The food is okay, but the value you get and the atmosphere is really great. The chicken pitzza (4/5) was nice - lots of moist flavorful chicken and good toppings: the pizza was also really big. The falafel was not very good (3/5) and was dry and difficult to eat. The hummus however and the bread were absolutely delicious.

We had lunch here and we enjoyed the atmosphere and the decoration - it was really warm and nice. The service was really great - the girls working there are extremely kind with everyone. They make you feel at peace only talking to them. I loved their way of communicating with guests very respectful. We ordered lentil soup - Merguez sandwich and a chicken plate - the food was good especially the soup - the chicken was a bit strong but for some people it might be acceptable. Don’t hesitate to get the traditional bread- it was the best I have ever tasted. I recommend this place very much for its kind atmosphere.

The lentil soup is a must! I took one to do as well. The falafel plate flavor was okay. I enjoyed my fresh mint tea. The baklava desert was perfect. The waiters were attentive. This place is quiet on weekday for dinner.

Had the leg of lamb plate. Its truly leg of lamb roast, rather bland and lacking any seasoning or sufficient salt. The baba ghanoush is also not very flavourful. Overall filling but nothing id go out of the way to get again. The best part was the fresh naan. Seevice was great.

enjoyed a meal there recently with a friend who was performing at BAM. The food was good and the staff was wonderful. My only issue is everything was under salted. Otherwise, the place was great.

Really delicious meal. The spinach cheese pie is a must have. Perfect ratio of spinach to cheese. Sadly there are no schwarmas only pita wraps. The chicken sandwich was solid and I would order it again. The outside patio has a very comfortable and lovely atmosphere.

Their pitas are fantastic. The lamb was soft and delightful, the babaganoush very tasty! The chicken ouzi was too much rice and too little chicken. The tabbouleh was really good and the beets were simple but nice!

Service was really nice and helpful, all the staff were super nice! But as an arab im telling you the food is not good; the meat was barely boiled? I dont even know i bet they boiled it (i got leg lamb plate= 20$) for the price i expect something better or more presentable at least, it both looked bad and sadly tasted 2/10 at best... atmosphere was cute and cozy very arab core but i cant get over the food like i bit into a part of the meat and almost threw it up into my tissue NO EXAGGERATION i promise...but loved the atmospehere and service! Thanks!

I knew this place back when is was Pita. It's an okay spot now. The hummus was ok, not bad. However the "Chicken Sanwhich" I had was good, I would come back specifically for that. It really is more of a chicken wrap than a chicken sandwich. They flavors are pretty authentic.

When you first walk in the restaurant looks more like a take out place but there's charming decor in the back and a cute outdoor space, though it could use some fans. The service is friendly and attentive but we had to ask for appetizers to be brought out first before the mains. The food is good and tastes home made. The pizza was great, nice crust, spicy with merguez sausage. The ouzi was interesting but the chicken was severely overcooked.

Was my first time trying falafel, the plate was quite filling but it was way too dry. The texture of the falafel was crumbly and compared to photos online it looks much darker - I can't tell if it's burnt or they just have a special ingredient that makes it that dark. PLUS the whole restruant was quite dark so it just looks like four pieces of burnt coal on my plate. The flavor itself was nice and herby but still the texture just crumbled in my mouth. The hummus really carried by making it less dry. The chicken on the other hand....nowwww I know that was dry asf💀 kinda chewy and just not a nice texture. The salad on the side was nice, nothing special. The sauce in the container tasted flavorless. The pita bread was huggeeee and dipping it in the hummus was the star of the show, really carried the whole meal fr but there definitely wasn't enough hummus to make up for the dry chicken and falafel 😭😭

My most recent visit was very disapointing, Went with a group of 6, noone left happy. All the chicken dishes were dried out, one had burnt pieces that was very off putting, the Humas was bland, the Yogurt sauce was runny and had a vinegar after taste. The only bright spot was the Baba and bread. Even the service was poor. I've dined here many times, no reason to go back until something changes.

I never leave reviews but this was a really upsetting meal, I can’t understand why it’s so highly rated, maybe the pizza is the thing to get? The lamb is dry and bland, the hummus tastes homemade in a bad way, like they just put chick peas and garlic in a blender, even the mint tea tastes wrong. I’m Arab and was shocked to learn it’s an Arab owned restaurant. Very aesthetically cute place though, just trying to prevent anyone else from getting the wrong thing!

I really wanted to like this place, but the food was a huge letdown for the price. I ordered the leg lamb plate ($20) and the portion was small. The lamb came out looking dark/black and red in parts, and some pieces were so tough I couldn’t even bite through them. Other pieces didn’t feel fully cooked. Overall it was dry and poorly prepared. The rice had basically no salt or seasoning, and it tasted plain. The salad was just some lettuce, tomato, and olives thrown on the plate, and even the olive still had the seeds like it wasn’t prepped properly. Even the mint tea tasted stale/leftover (like بايت—old and just reheated), and that was the same feeling I got from the whole meal. One more thing: while I was in the bathroom, someone tried to open/broke the door on me which they did since there is only one bathroom and I had an emergency. And when I came out the food was just sitting there getting cold/drying out.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I was truly disappointed with my order. I paid $40 for a chicken plate and a falafel plate, and what I received was BEYOND underwhelming. The chicken amounted to about eight small nuggets, and the falafel came with only three pieces. Both plates included just a small scoop of hummus and some wilted lettuce. I had asked for extra hummus since I don’t eat pita, and while they said they would accommodate, it seemed more like the portions were reduced instead. At any middle eastern restaurant I’ve ever dined at they pride themselves on their food and give heavy portions. I wasn’t expecting a heavy portion but when I hear “plate” I expect a plate, not an appetizer. The flavor was fine, but the portions and value are unacceptable for the price. I would like this to be rectified to change my review.

Honestly confused how this place has so many high ratings. If you’re Arab or Middle Eastern for real, you will not like this place. You aren’t its target audience. The food is overpriced and tasteless. We ordered a few dishes and not one of them tasted good, even after we asked for lemon and salt to try and improve its taste. The grape leaves also were evidently canned and not freshly cooked. The ambiance is amazing and the staff was for the most part friendly (even though we got charged $9 for tea that we thought was complimentary since it was offered to us before sitting down……..). The tea was also bland and unsweet. Tasteless food and ridiculously overpriced. If you are Arab or Middle Eastern, you will be very disappointed.
