Food was so good. Ambience with great music, staff was very friendly.
Food was great! Only con is there isn't much seating. Around 4/5 tables
Authentic Dominican food at a good price and Very friendly staff.
Good yummy spanish food, so if you are looking for such a food this is your place.
Wow just had a uber delivery had the churasco with shrimp and rice so delicious will order again ty
Had many great meals there. Comfy.
first time there, the food was great and the service was just as great.
Great food and service lots of options ready to go in the steam table!
Bay Ridge Diner focuses on Spanish food. Small table space makes it mainly for takeout or delivery. Most of the people know what they want claiming this is the best place as a Spanish restaurant. It is definitely not a Mexican restaurant but closer the Cuban style. I would not bring a date here but for lunch or quick dinner Campo Bello is going to fill your stomach with tasty delicious flavor.
This place serves some awesome home cooked Spanish food. Their food is presented in a hot and cold buffet that the employees serve. My favourites are the roasted pork (Pernil) and the tender roasted chicken. Enjoy.
You can't go wrong with Campo Bello. The staff are quick to help and remember me for every visit. They provide little add on's that is an extra courtesy (such as red onion). For those with a sweet tooth for Dominican cuisine, come here for what you need. It is pricy but the meal will last you for two days tops. Elizabeth is very kind and helps get you additional items from the chef by request.
Everything is fresh authentic place is very clean Customer service is very warm and friendly.
Y'all, trust me this place is good. My favorite thing I got might have actually been the alcapurria. La masa was tasty and la carne inside was perfectly seasoned!
Service was nice, food was grrag and the price was good for the amount of food. I wont speak to the authenticity because im not spanish, but if you want a decently sized and price Spanish lunch this is a pretty good place to go
Best Spanish food in the area. No competition. They cook ver Very very good. Going there today for dinner
Love there food, best spanish restaurant in Bayridge.. some of the staff could act a little nicer but there food is so good i don't even care lol
Food was really good. Friendly customer service, wait time not too bad. I’d recommend.
There food is delicious. I had the chicken, white rice and black beans. It was so good. Thank you.
Food was fantastic. The cocktails were great. The service was attentive. Found this place as a fluke. But I will definitely go again. You will enjoy the food every single thing was great.
Their food tastes great and the prices are very affordable. I usually get the baked chicken breast platter with some yellow rice and black beans. They are probably the best Spanish restaurant in Bay Ridge.
I changed my review after giving it another chance. They have improved greatly The woman I wasn’t comfortable around to come in no longer works there The food is very good and changed to the better ❤️🙏
This place is very clean, the service is great and food is excellent. It's located in a very safe area. This was my first time there and they made feel like I was part of the family. I will return at my next visit to NY. I highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Dominican food. Today was a very cold day and my wife wanted to it hot chicken soup and I had an amazing sancocho.
Food that has a amazingly savory flavor and a calm atmosphere, money very well spent 😋🤤
Too Long Didn’t Read (TLDR) 5 Stars for the following: -The service is impeccable. -Actually makes you feel welcomed as though you were missed. -Food is AUTHENTIC like eating with a Spanish family after church on Sunday -Newly renovated and CLEAN. -Attentive staff that actually cares. -2 entrances so the traffic flows and you’re not overwhelmed by people. Campo Bello is a Latino’s Heaven for Spanish food. This is AUTHENTIC Dominican food for the soul in the middle of Bayridge! The flavor is exactly the same as my childhood with my aunt cooking for me on Sunday’s after church. Everything is full of flavor and makes you want to savor all bites. It’s buffet style food where you can see everything but here’s why this place gets 5 stars The. Service. Is. Impeccable. I walked in and I was greeted and made feel as though I was missed. Not only was I served personally in a buffet style restaurant, I was also tended to periodically while the restaurant was packed. Unlike other restaurants the desserts and drinks are easily accessible. There’s a fridge you can just get up and grab a slice of cake, drink of all kinds (Coke/Pepsi products and their juices) and the owners just add it to your bill. The seating is right next the HUGE windows that let you see everyone passing by. It’s the perfect place to sit down and relax to have some good home cooked food! The music isn’t deafening loud like in other Spanish restaurants so it’s actually pleasant to sit down and eat. Everything is newly renovated and CLEAN. If you’ve read my post you know important this is to me. There’s 2 entrances making the flow of food traffic easier since you go in 1 way and you come out the other way. They’ve been here 10+ years and are on Uber Eats Grubhub so it’s not like it’s “Too far to order from.” It’s a fantastic place to try AUTHENTIC Dominican food CB2 cooks Breakfast lunch and dinner and every course is different. Smoothies, Green juices and healthy drinks are available and are on the menu. I WISH I were here for breakfast I’ll come back for it and when I do, I’ll write another review. They take care and cash and you don’t want to t pay with card, there’s an ATM inside too If you come to eat here, make sure you leave a great review because this place is great.
Campo Bello ll was a great place to eat at took my wife to the ENT Doctor up the black and we sat here for lunch before her appointment and the food here was excellent and tasty, I’m sorry I don’t have photos of the food we ate, We were so hungry that we made it disappear quickly lol but nice environment friendly service really looking forward to coming back here again. Thank you.
Amazing fresh food, clean, hidden gem! I usually get the family special which is an affordable price for the amount of food you receive. My go to for Dominican food, even beats places in Sunset Park which claim to be better. Would definitely recommend.
One of the few Latin food places in the area. Good food and decent prices
I finally found a spot in my neighborhood with authentic pernil. Service was fast and friendly, and the menu is reasonably priced. Give it a try!
Great food but a little overpriced. Expect to pay around $12 - $15 for a meal. Of course, 2 can eat from one order.
Nothing fancy about this place, just good old fashioned Spanish food at very reasonable prices and good sized portions.
Delicious Dominican food. Good variety. Nice staff, great location
Pretty good Spanish food. They never have cuchifritos I crave but otherwise good food and service
This restaurant has delicious food. They serve generous portions. The reason it lost one star is because it's too small and the tables are too close to each other and very tight. Otherwise it's great as are the prices.....very reasonable.
Their ensalada de bacalao is Always fresh and not too salty. The arroz con gandules is good. Sometimes the soups and entrees can be a bit heavy on the salt. The chicharrones are greasy and delicious. I get food here regularly for my Boricua mother-in-law and she generally approves.
Yellow rice was good. Cooked perfectly. The roast pork(pernil) was awsome. My wife had yellow rice and the beef stew (carne guisada) beef was super tender, not dry and the carrots and potatoes were cooked to perfection.
Very pleasing staff. Polite. Informative. On top of that, the food is amazing with generous portions. Highly recommended 👌 2 plates plus dessert and 5 pasteles.
The people that answer the phone are very nice as well as delivery. The food is the best spainsh food I've had in a long time from outside. This is my new go to spot
Excellent Dominican/Puerto Rican food, with very reasonable prices. Best maduros you'll find anywhere. Recommend the pernil, bacalao salad and Moro de gandules. Delicious
The food is pricy but it’s absolutely delicious.
This is an extension of their other restaurant in Staten Island. They offer Latin-inspired cuisine here for breakfast and lunch and served up by people behind the line for you. There's ample space for several tables during lunch. The food is serviceable not but quite memorable. I'll be back to try a few other dishes. Customer Service is good overall.
Food, portions and price were great. Service was good. Small place so you have to get there quick for a seat. Staff was pleasant. Why not 5 stars? Their bathroom is so cold it's a meat locker.
Good food prepared by Dominican staff. If you are into Latin American Cuisine, give this place a try. They do check for proper vaccination documentation. They also offer local delivery. Located on 92nd and Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Accessible via B-63.
Food was pretty good and the bathroom was nice and clean. They fill the plates up with so much rice that you can't fit much meat. Thats expensive for mostly rice.
The beef stew and rice was excellent. The place is quiet and clean. The four stars is because the pastelitos were over-fried and needed to be softened in the microwave when I returned home with my order.
The food is very good and so is the service. The workers are friendly and the establishment is very clean. It is hard to find a parking in this area. And sometimes each server charges you a different price for the same plate. Need to have steady prices.
Stopped by in the morning I had take out, Los 3 Golpes, eggs, salami, cheese and mashed green plantain with red onions, a beef and chicken/cheese empanadas, carrot cake and a coffee, food was delicious worth stopping by if you are around the area in Bay Ridge, that’s my order, when I’m visiting Washington Heights. Staff’s attentive and place is CLEAN. It’s a nice atmosphere to eat in assorted hot food.
If you’re looking for an authentic Spanish place to eat this is a good place to start. Many combinations to choose from to include sandwiches, and French fries menu for children. Definitely more photos to come. *Ordering over the phone can be difficult if one doesn’t speak Spanish. Keep in mind that English is their second language. There is a woman who’s fluent in English but be prepared for her taking, translating, and making sure the order is right with the other staff. - iG MickeyHoliday
This was my first visit to this Spanish restaurant. Recently I've been visiting another newer place in Bay Ridge. Service was decent, although it wasn't busy at the time of my arrival on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered meals to stay but also ordered something else to take out. The restaurant was quite clean and the food was good. My only complaints are that I felt that my chicken soup should have been a bit hotter in temperature; and my avocado salad was too watery and salty.
Ordered chicharron, and a pernil combo. The pernil was extremely dry. The chicharron was over fried to the point where even the fat was hard to bite into.
Food taste burned, Meat was very dry asked for coffee, coffee was cold and they added cinnamon without asking me, first time that am very disappointed
Food is good - at times staff is inattentive , impatient and inconvenienced. This has happened on more than one occasion. Will never go back.
Food was bland, staff super unfriendly. Was recommended by a friend very disappointed.
I use to love this place... ordering twice to three times a week for lunch and on occasions for family gatherings but since they changed owners the food is not the same :( which I hate to say because I love spanish food and I thought finally this side of Bay Ridge has a good Latin place to eat but unfortunately lately that hasn’t been the case for me.... Normally I get a white fried fish with rice, lately the fish is not the same texture, possibly not even the same fish and often it is over cooked including the rice. I also ordered a large tray of rice for my son’s birthday party 3 weeks ago and the same thing happened with the rice, it was over cooked and dry! Sorry 😐 wish I could of left a better review! I called to let them know that the food wasn’t the same and a lady got on the phone, I am assuming she is the new owner, she wasn’t very Pleasant and offered no resolve. She didn’t even offer to send me a new order but only asked for the fish back!
Love the mangu, but Everytime I eat from this place I get sick. Stomach pains and all. Not ordering from here ever again
The rice good ,the salmon tasted very bad!!! The soggy cucumber tomato salad was bad. Small portion of rice served when I dined in. The mixed vegetables were not fresh. I havent been here in a while. Also, you will see 🙈hidden extra charges when you order via phone. So, tell them to give you EXACT total, not to leave anything out!! How do you run your business like this?😅 desserts were very very good. Chicken soup,ok. Don't know about their bkfst.
I have ate at this place several times and its getting worse by the minute. The food is always overcook and dry or salty. They are over price. After 1yr I decided to stop by and check the quality of the food hoping was better I had lunch special 1/4 small chicken leg, about 5tbs of avocado & tomato salad and 5 small pcs fried yellow banana and 1 cup coffee. I was charged a ridiculous $9.50. Break down was 6.50 for the chicken leg and small salad I was charged an extra dollar for the 5pcs of fried banana. The coffee wasn't refill and no x-tra included for 1.50 and luke warn. The chicken was dry and cold. Most customer seen to be going to the newest restaurant at the corner of 84 St. and 4th ave ,where you get free bottle water, nice pc of rotissery chicken, lots of rice and beans or whatever you choose for only 8.00.Taste much better and you get more for your money.
I got some food from this place and I couldn’t even bite in to the chicken it was like rubber I eat here a lot never had this problem but won’t be eating there anymore
So disappointed ☹️ the roasted chicken was so dryness the fried green plantains where like the refríed them again what a waste of money on these people they need to go thumbs down 👎 never again
Worst restaurant and nasty manager has an attitude and doesn’t let you speak. Sent me the wrong food and wrong meat and she kept saying she didn’t and was always speaking over me
WORST SERVICE AT A RESTAURANT THAT HAS FOOD ALREADY COOKED AND READY TO SERVE..THE STAFF TOTALLY IGNORES YOU AND MAKES YOU WAIT TO ORDER AND ACT RUDE ABOUT IT!!
Disgusting food, expensive for no reason and the staff is unfriendly and rude. DONT GO THERE❗
Terrible service that I had to leave the restaurant. First the young lady asked , ‘ What do you want?’ very unfriendly. we said ‘something to drink’. We further walked down a bit and checked out the food since we were all a bit hungry. Then she said ‘The food are all for take-out’ meaning, we aren’t welcome to this restaurant. So we left without spending a penny. No business would be ever given to this restaurant.
Food wasn’t good at all restaurant is nice but the food has no flavor to it and they only serve small portions
I got one beef empanada and ground beef was very salty, I got also lunch black beans was with no flavor, very average food.. I'm able to cook better...
LADY AT THE COUNTER OVER CHARGES AND NOONE THERE KNOWS THE PRICES... FALLS ADVERTISEMENT ... WORST PRICES THEY DONT EXPLAIN RIGHT AND IM FOR ONE SPAINISH...FAMILY COMBOS CANT STAY TO EAT WHICH IS STUPID FIRST SPANISH RESTAURANT TO SAY THIS!!I WAS IN SHOCK....FOOD IS GOOD BUT BEING ROBBED FOR FOOD IS SOMETHING UNBELIEVABLE!!!
We had some food delivered but unfortunately the yellow rice was looking and tasting like rubber/ plastic.
I ordered pork chops very hard The rice not soft The people on the phone is rude. This place used to be so good. I recommend a lot of people to this place. They all called for deliveries. Now I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Disappointed
Their food is delicious but their customer service is pretty bad. The order they sent me was incorrect and when I called them about it they told me that the website and their menu are different. (I ordered from their own website sooo please make it make sense.) It seems like they intentionally made me pay more for an order but sent me a cheaper one and wouldn’t give me back the difference.
The worst Emapanadas and Alcapurrias!! why are the Empanadas and Alcapurrias so damn hard and dry, I almost broke a tooth and was chewing for days. Also, they taste like chicharron because everything is fried in the same oil. Please leave the Fritutas to the Puerto Ricans thank you. I will say the restaurant was clean, but the young lady behind the counter was just a bit rude. One and Done!
This place has gone downhill in customer service. I ordered several meals from them for delivery. After waiting for an hour which I can understand about the weather conditions. They failed to bring me one of the dishes. I called and they argued telling me they brought and they did not. After about 10 min of listening to them, I just said keep the food and the money. Its not about the money really its about calling me a liar.
Completely disgusting customer service food drenched with oil they call sauce it would give my dog diarrhea.asked for basic steak with ouns and I specifically said no.pepper Because he said they steak with peppers and onions I said no peppers!!! Fried steak with onions .he asked what kind of steak I have ordered before either they can't understand or this so called manager always in a rush Last straw.said he can't give me what I ordered less the extra disgusting oil .he would.lose money NICE
Disgusting food. Everyone in my family threw it out and had to order elsewhere. The meat tasted like it was sitting in the open for three days. The rice was hard as a rock, like 10% of it wasn't even cooked, just sprinkled straight from the bag into the mix. Inedible. Save your money.
Used to love this spot cause the food is amazing, but it gave my fiancé severe salmonella poisoning. Had to be hospitalized for 3 days
Horrible! I don’t appreciate the lady with the glasses very rude nasty attitude towards her customers. This is the second time I ordered food from this place &’ for some reason she doesn’t want people who spend nearly $80 dollars on food that doesn’t even come out her paycheck. I order chicharron to be freshly made and she lies stating it’s fresh when it’s broken into pieces from the front of the store. I don’t come here wanting to waste my money. I like to spend my hard working money on some good food not no crap that’s been out all day. She has some type of animosity towards me and my cousin which we don’t appreciate because we come all the way from Staten Island to have this food. The first time we had nice fresh crispy chicharron it was amazing. We came back a second time and she told us she didn’t have time to make it which was understandable because it was getting late and was told if we want chicharron we have to order it a head of time which we did yesterday and I’m guessing she heard my voice and didn’t respect to give us what we expected for our dinner and then when I brought it to her attention she was just very rude about it. Never will I ever come here again.
