Opiniones de DAE Brooklyn
Thoughtfully designed café and shop that feels like a little escape from the city. The space is calm, minimalist, and really intentional — everything from the drinks to the home goods is curated with care. Peaceful place to slow down and reset.
Delicious grain latte and pretty good espresso. The ambiance is minimalistic, very airy and bright. The brunch food was good, unique, and quite colorful, but the flavor was less memorable.
If you are reading this review, please go experience the aesthetic of this space. You will be delighted. I was eager to check out DAE, and when I did, it exceeded my expectations. I was most interested in the space and the wares. Both are so exquisitely curated leaving the customer feeling both at peace and inspired. Ajax at the counter was knowledgeable and friendly while I asked questions about nearly everything on the menu 😂 I tried the K-pear iced tea (I’m a huge Korean pear fan) and it was refreshing and juicy. Im excited to go back to try more of their daytime menu, and I’m curious to see what their evening offerings are like.
I’ve went a couple times and the matcha tastes great! Very nice place. I recommend it! 🍵
Lovely staff and a cute happy hour 5-7 pm drink and food! 10$ grass fed burger. Food looks amazing.
Love this spot! I came Sunday night and had a smash burger and some really good cocktails. Apparently there was a one night only tea cocktail pop up, and they were so good. Our bartender was so sweet, and she created all of the drinks herself!
Since the opening of DAE, I knew I needed to stop by and visit the space for myself! The space itself was smaller than I imagined, but it’s still very nice and aesthetically pleasing. I stopped in on my latest trip to the city, and finally got to try a few of their items. For myself I ordered the “MBB”(milk bread with matcha honey butter) and a friend ordered the “KST: Korean Street”. I loved the taste of the KST, the savory and sweet combination was very delicious! As for the “MBB”, I also thoroughly enjoyed the combination of the bread with the butter (as the matcha flavor did not overpower but instead complimented the taste). The hemp seeds added a nice crunch as well. Overall, I was very impressed with the items I tried, but also the atmosphere and service I received.
Stopped in on a Sunday after visiting the farmer's market nearby. Just the best tomato toast I have ever had, and enjoyed the really beautiful laid-back atmosphere. I want to come back for the dinner menu. The Korean dishes look like they'll be phenomenal.
Good drinks, lovely ambiance, cute shop with cute beige objects. Overall a very relaxed atmosphere and an easy place to chat with a friend for a few hours. The service is a little aloof but it was fine.
The cutest coffee shop/home goods/ wine shop. Beautifully curated home goods and yummy wine selection. I've had their cold misugaru latte and it's such a nostalgic taste from childhood. It's also nice chill place to have drinks after work.
The café boasts a generous and airy layout, creating a sense of ample space that exudes cleanliness. This establishment offers an ideal setting to reconnect with friends, providing a soothing environment to enjoy refreshingly comforting beverages and food. There is also a puppy!
Beautiful space, it’s thoughtful and carefully arranged. It’s definitely catering towards an experience so I was able to understand the pricing. If you need an aesthetically pleasing and atmospheric cafe moment this is the place to be. We were there for a pop-up event. Our drinks were delicious and the food was tasty. They transition into a wine bar at 4 or 4:30 pm. We are looking forward to coming back to experience DAE in the evening.

What a wonderful place to stumble into on a cold evening! Dae is warm and inviting, like a friend’s cozy living room. Good music that allowed us to talk. The cocktails are delicious and while we didn’t get food because this was a pre-dinner drink stop, the aromas coming from the kitchen were making us drool. And the happy hour alone is worth a visit! We will be back! Thank you Celina for being an excellent hostess and bartender!

For those who appreciate a break from the ordinary, DAE is a true gem. There aren’t many places in Brooklyn where I can enjoy excellent Korean rice wine alongside a thoughtful beer selection (they even carry my favorite from Maine). The bites are also equally delicious and eclectic. I do miss the Korean design goods they once carried in-store, though I’m glad they’re still available online. I hope they’re here to stay—Brooklyn already has more than enough pizzerias.
We hosted a private celebration dinner at DAE, and couldn’t have had a better experience. There were a lot of details to coordinate, from the menu to bringing in flowers and our own dessert, to some guests needing alternate dishes. And it all went beautifully! Amy and the owner Carol helped tend to every detail. The ambience was perfect for what we were looking for — clean and intimate, and the food was delicious: curry croquettes, Korean fried chicken, vegan risotto, prawns with gochujang-glazed little gem salad. The cocktails we selected for the menu (2 of which were N/A) were also so, so good and very original! I was gobsmacked at the quality of the food and presentation, and professionalism of everyone involved. It allowed us to truly enjoy the evening and focus on the occasion for our celebration. Don’t hesitate to inquire if you’re looking for a private event space, DAE did a phenomenal job hosting us and our guests!
Absolutely gorgeous cafe with a nice mellow vibe and great coffee and cake, all served beautifully in a minimalist design. I really wanted to give 5 stars however the service is horrible and the lady working here is not friendly and also some tables are left dirty. Too bad because it really takes away from this beautiful place.
Cute spot with great food. Went here for dinner and I do think the vibe lends itself better for breakfast/ lunch; it’s quite minimal, but can get quite loud bc of the acoustics. Favorites were the Leche de Tigre with scallop and black sesame; melted in your mouth so good! And the prawns, which had some heat to the greens. The charred cabbage and fries were also great. Finished the dinner with the hōjicha martini, which was like a dessert. Affogato was also perfect, espresso was nice and strong.
The food was great—one of the best BLTs I’ve had. Drinks were solid too. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t seem very friendly and gave off the vibe that they didn’t want to be there, which took away from the overall experience a bit.

Came for a solo drink before dinner to kill time. Has an interesting vibe - I do think it likely functions better as a cafe but the mezcal drink I got was good and reasonably priced and it’s a uniquely decorated spot.

Super quiet, only 1 person at the counter . Order purple sweet potato matcha but we need to go back and ask for more purple sweet potato since we can’t taste any . Hojicha was okay .
We just had brunch. The Mayak egg dish was cute and tasty, but small for the price. The tomato toast was just okay and also on the small side. The menu is very limited. They don't have black tea for people who just want strong black tea with their brunch. The service staff were pleasant enough, but there it's pretty much service including figuring out why one dish came and the other dish we ordered did not until we asked where it was. It's not as if the staff were run off their feet since there were only two other tables the entire time we were there. Both of whom already had their food. They have a few rules. No computers and no photos or videos of their very sparsely decorated and empty at high brunch hour space. This may reflect how they may not be appealing to neighborhood. We would not go back.
Good vibes. Very aesthetic, but very expensive. I got a brunch dish and a cold brew and it was $33 (including tax). They have a mandatory 10% service charge. Crazy expensive. If you’re an influencer/into exploring new spots and well designed cafes, this may be your spot. If you’re looking to get full and perhaps enjoy a book or do some writing, this is not the place.
