One of the best Nashville hot chicken sandwiche I ever had! The chicken is very thick and seasoned well! The rub was amazing and the spicy was very yummy spicy flavor! Definitely have come try their smash burger!

I came across this restaurant by accident, and I'm happy that it happened. The customer service is exceptional; you can tell they really care about their customers. First time here. The reviews are accurate. Customer service is A+. Very friendly and accommodating. We got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich meal and Fries Madness. The very spicy for the sandwich had some zest but definitely tolerable. Chicken well seadoned. Listen... those loaded fries were delicious!! I got the mild sauce which was a perfect blend of sweet yet spicy. They didn't skimp on the sauces at all. The homemade banana pudding was also very tasty. I will be back!!!

I stopped by earlier today to get a burger with my sister and I saw that they had smash burgers! A lot of good reviews and all of them are true. Service is great, and most importantly food is amazing. Tried smash burger first and that thing was packed in flavor. Fries could be crispier though, but salt amount was nice. Definitely making this a regular place.

Excellent Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, one of the best in NYC. Large, fresh chicken breast, perfectly battered and seasoned. Got the medium level spice, and it was a gentle spice tingle, cooled by the crisp pickles, creamy crunch of the coleslaw topping, and fresh, soft, sweet bun. Chicken fried fresh after order, so it takes a little bit of time, but it's worth it. It was a mess to eat (in a great way), with sauce dripping everywhere. Staff is extremely nice and was more than happy to talk through the menu items. Highly recommend.

Me and two friends just finished our orders of fries madness and we absolutely loved it! While waiting for our food we talked with the owner of the place and had a great time getting to know him and his place. His passion for what he does and his kind self made all of our days. I recently visited forefathers and I have to say, it was a great experience! The fried chicken was crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection definitely some of the best I’ve had. I also ordered the loaded fries, and they did not disappoint. They were piled high with toppings, perfectly seasoned, and the combination of flavors was just right. The service was excellent as well. The man who helped me was very nice, friendly, and made sure my order was just how I wanted it. The food came out fresh and hot, and I didn’t have to wait long at all. Overall, a fantastic spot for chicken and 10x times better than canes on the corner. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I tried “Fries Madness” from the menu which has almost everything (French fries, crispy chicken tenders, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, homemade pickle and homemade chipotle dip). It was absolutely delicious meal that I ever tried, super fresh and big serving size for the price. It was good enough for my lunch and dinner.

Food was so delicious. Got food for iftar and the wait time was very short. The mac and cheese was amazing. The french fries are okay, but the nashville hot chicken and loaded fries are really good. The single and double smash burgers were also very good. The service was super quick and ordering online and in person was very simple.

This place is unfit for humans, rather, the food here is only fit for consumption by 4th dimensional god like beings that know things we may never know. The service, immaculate. The employees, courteous and kind. I came here for a fries madness and I left with a dish that very few are worthy of. When I ordered, i expected a 10 minute wait. It was 5. When I was about to leave, my friend asked for chipotle sauce, and the cashier gave it to him with no charge and told him he could keep his ranch aswell. During the school year I come literally 3x out of 5 days of the week. I really recommend the chicken over Mac. I used to love their loaded fries until they changed the recipe; so I started getting that less. 10/10 chicken over Mac!!

First time customer and I'm very satisfied. I wanted to see if this place deserved the all the rave reviews and I can say now that it lives up to the hype. I'm a big fan of supporting local businesses, especially if the prices are as fair, the portions as generous, and the food as high quality as this location. Spoke with the owner as he was working the register this morning. Very friendly service, and it was apparent that the owner cared more about the food and customers than simply making a profit. The chicken is cooked fresh and most of the ingredients are made in-house. The Nashville sandwich sauce was exceptional: an addicting blend of sweet and spicy. Unfortunately no seating at this location due to size constraints, but even sitting in sauce with a 30~ minute commute home the chicken was still extremely crispy!

Every newly opened chicken shop is usually very small. The small shop definitely can't accommodate dine-in but the food is still the bomb either ways. The food is affordable, delicious, and halal. Just by buying the fries of madness will get you full by itself, and the flavor coming from it is very savory. I love the sauce they put on it as well, and it doesn't feel greasy but it is a delicious mess to eat. If I come back, I would definitely try out the rest of the menu. I can't wait for them to renovate into a bigger space so I can try out the food as fresh as it can be.

I've been waiting to try Forefeathers for a while after seeing all the positive reviews about it on Google, and I'm perfectly happy to say that not only do they not disappoint, but they surpassed my expectations. We got the Fries Madness and the 3 Piece Chicken Tenders thinking it wouldn't be enough, but I honestly think we bought enough for two more meals. The Fries Madness was absolutely delicious - the flavorful sauce with the combination of salad and fried chicken worked perfectly together. The chicken tenders were perfectly seasoned and were incredibly juicy. We got the Chipotle sauce and their homemade Garlic Parmesan sauce with them and they were super tasty; the homemade Garlic Parm sauce was especially creamy and flavorful as well. The banana pudding was also great - not too sweet, just the way I like it. Also shout-out to the front of house guy behind the counter. He had such a great demeanor and was such a great conversationalist. You can tell he is proud of the food that the kitchen produces, and that really got excited to try the food when we got home. Definitely coming back to this place and recommending it to others!

Everything was prepared when I ordered so I love that. Super fresh ingredients. Favs so far: chipotle mayo, spicy biryani rice on the side dish menu (curry gravy sauce, yum!) and the generous size of the chicken filet in my sandwich ❤️ Will be back.

The Fries madness was loaded with chicken, cheesy fries and Mac n cheese. Don’t get me started on their Mint margarita. This was my first time trying this place out, Customer service was AMAZING! Food was also 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 we ordered a lemonade and they upgraded us to a mint margarita not to mention it was on the house for the first time! I’m glad we got the mint margarita it was SOO good. I read the reviews and went for the chicken tender biryani, and while they unfortunately don’t sell the biryani anymore, the man in the front was very patient in helping me choose something else. I settled on the medium nashville chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious. the chicken was freshly fried and their chipotle sauce is delicious, couldn’t get enough. 10/10

Thank goodness a real quality chicken sandwich place opened in this area. I have tried almost everything on the menu and holy, literally everything is amazing. One of the best things this place does is put a generous amount of sauce on everything. So many restaurants don’t put the right amount of sauce on their sandwiches which just make them so dry. But these guys just do everything right. The owner is the nicest guy everything and always caters to you how you need. Never disappointed me once and always asked for my honest opinion. Gonna be coming here all the time!

I tried forefeathers about a month ago and now I cannot stop getting it!!!! The food is a 10/10, especially if you love spicy foods it’s sooo good but even if you don’t, the regular one is still as good! My family and I love it and the prices are perfect. They give good amounts and will leave you full ( and super happy ) This is a non biased review lol i just genuinely love the food and the service is a 10/10. All the workers are super sweet and actually care about making sure you are happy! Their place is also very well kept and clean. If you want to chill out and eat your food there then there would be no problem. This is definitely a place that makes you feel comfortable and welcomed :)

Just moved to Ditmas Park and I stopped in here by accident and was lured by the Hallal sign. I don't usually prefer Hallal but I can tell when I walked in this place was well kept, clean, sparkling, and as I hear the methods for food prep with Hallal are of higher standards. THAT ASIDE: I ordered a double patty smashburger with Smash Sauce and was greeted at my exit with a container to take home of chopped fried chicken over mac. The owner? or the Manager? that day knows how to serve a customer and knows how to welcome someone to the neighborhood. The smashburger was perfectly made and exremely juicy and tasted like the grill. The veggies on it were fresh and not wilted and everything was dripping in a generous slather of sauce. Clearly I will be back. Get yourself some affordable trendy soul warming bites here and don't lose your wallet over it. It's the smartest decision when you're around the block.

Off the Brighton Line (B/Q) at Kings Highway is the best Nashville fried chicken in NYC. (I've been to Prince's and Hattie B's in Nashville) This place does top Chicken sandwiches and tenders. You know it's the real deal because medium is almost too spicy for me. When I first went they had fried chicken Biryani on the menu but by the time I got the nerve to order it they had taken it off :(: Pretty much a take-out place. Their banana pudding is great as well. Extra points for the horrible and confusing pun name. This place shows how bad Dave's Hot Chicken is and I love how you have to walk by Cane's which is another mediocre, at best, place for chicken, to get to Forefeathers.

My friends and I LOVE this place! Its our go to when we eat out all together. The staff was so welcoming and even offered us additional dipping sauces to taste to know our favorites for next time. Man this place is really something special. We got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and the Double Load Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Both of them were super fresh and juicy. The Nashville is a 10/10, the Double Load was a little on the plain side but they offer so many great sauces that it was easy to fix. The staff is very friendly and the place is kept neat and clean. I’m genuinely excited to come back and try the other things on the menu. An excellent addition to South Brooklyn.

I recently had a pleasure of trying Nashville style fried chicken sandwich at Forefathers restaurant and I have to say, it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Chicken was perfectly cooked- crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Not greasy at all and perfectly seasoned. Very good food, I can definitely see this becoming a favorite go to chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh and good. I tried the Nashville hot chicken 🤤 definitely recommend it,if you want to get your heat on (not too spicy as one might think). The French fries are definitely good, the crinkle cut fries that are hard to stop eating even without ketchup. The mint margarita was definitely a refreshing drink, without leaving a dry after taste. The prices are average and the quantity and quality are more than worth the trip. Will be back next time I'm around the area.

Stopped in on my way home and to my surprise this was the best fried chicken I ever had. I got the chicken biryani. It was a modern take on the traditional dish but omg so delicious. Everything was super fresh and made to order. The sauce that comes with the meal is **chefs kiss ** The quality of the chicken is great. Best CHEESEY Mac & cheese ive tried!

We stopped by this take out after going to Coney Island. The owner was nice and gave some dessert on the house. I scarfed the smash burger in the car and would go back for it. However my kid got the medium spicy hot chicken and couldn’t eat any of it. It was too spicy.

This place is really small so it tends to be crowded really easily and their food was really good. The chicken was cooked, crispy, and had a good amount of flavor and spice at the same time, which was enjoyable. It was really pricey, I got a chicken sandwich for almost $9.. so I think its a bit too expensive, but I would say it was kind of worth it. Fries were okay, usually hit or miss, but when they hit, they hittt. Overall I would give this a 3.5/5 just because the atomsphere was really small and food was expensive, however the chicken sandwich was pretty good

Forefeathers is a great casual spot in deep Brooklyn, run by a kind and accommodating owner. The smash burgers were well-seasoned and the portions were good. Lets start with the good! I ordered a Fries madness and a banana pudding, and they were very hospitable to me. I waited a bit for my order but only because I sat in a place directly underneath the counter and they did not see me. They have two vending machines in the lobby as well (either that or those kinds of similar refrigeration units, I don’t remember) When I got home, I opened up the box to see that my food was absolutely drowned with sauce. It was so bountiful I couldn’t even tell what I was looking at! The sauce taste was very good, has a mild spice to it but my sensitive gut made it a trip. (That’s just a skill issue though) The fries in fries madness were probably the least best element, they were nothing to write home about. I really liked their pickles, and there was of course chicken tenders as well as Mac and cheese in the meal. I ordered it without coleslaw and lettuce, and it was pretty good! It was such a big meal it took me the whole day to eat through I gave the banana pudding to my mom, and it was perfect for her as it was very soft and didn’t need too much chewing, she said she really enjoyed it Unfortunately, The store itself was a bit dirty due to prior customers not really throwing out their trash, as well as the trash bins there were full to the brim. I also think that they gave too many utensils and napkins for one meal, I think it would be a good idea to ask how many people you are ordering this for so the proper amount of utensils are being used as plastic is bad for the environment. I’m likely not to order fries madness again (However if you like spice and don’t have a high spice tolerance this is completely fine to eat!), but I definitely want to give their other meal items a go!

The experience was underwhelming with high expectations that did not meet the same experience as others. I ordered a 2 double smashed burgers with fries,3 tenders and Mac & Cheese. I received 2 single smashed burgers drenched in sauce with the meat patty falling off the side of the burgers. Cut down on the amount of sauce and make sure the correct is made correctly. The crinkle cut fries were undercooked and bland. They were soft without the crispiness of properly cooked fries. The macaroni was swimming in a tub of cheese. The container was filled with cheese sauce. I thought I was eating soup. Temp wise, it was lukewarm. The tenders were seasoned well but not the best tasting tenders.

This place started out soooooo good when it first re-opened in June ‘24. They gave extra chicken in your order, the fries were crispy and delicious, the mac and cheese was saucey…. Now? It shows up cold, not crispy, they changed the fries, they were undercooked today, the mac and cheese is dry and sticky, the fries are soggy. They put wayyyy too much spice on the mild chicken so I started ordering it plain. Really bummed… they’re right next to Cane’s and I think I’ll start going back to Cane’s now and making the drive cuz I am now ready for disappointment when I order here. :( Wish it was better.

I come here every other week. This place use to be consistently good. But within the last couple months it’s been hit or miss (mostly miss). I always get the fried madness and a side of Mac. Sometimes it would tastes awful, fries would be hard and stale. The chicken would be tasteless. And then comes the portion which at days would be very disappointing. My most recent visit (2 weeks ago) was actually not bad. But they missed putting any Mac n cheese in the fries madness… Management needs to stay on top of these things, this place has good potential.

The place is extremely small. Food is halal and expensive. They always charge tax on food. Chicken was fresh, but French fries were not so good. I tried Nashville hot chicken sandwich and Fries Madness. They charged me $10.31 for the burger, and Fries Madness was $14.14. I asked for hot sauce, and they asked me to pay more. I went to many halal places and no one asked me to pay extra for a sauce. I paid $14.14 and didn't get free hot sauce, which is bad.

Honestly, Forefeathers used to be so good and my go to. This place does not hit the same anymore. I’m disappointed in the quality of the food, they put way too much sauce in the fries madness and low quality. Their Mac and cheese is way too cheesy tastes fake. Food does not match price point. I told a couple of my friends to try it out at different times and they were all disappointed. They lost me as a customer, and others that I know. Not sure what happened, but they need to maybe relearn how to make it the right way. Went from a 5 star to 2 stars.

Place is amazing and the food is great, but I found greasy hairs in my fries madness recently. Half of the people in the kitchen don’t wear hair nets. Look closely in your meal before eating.

Place was good for a while, lately going downhill ever since they reopened. This place used to be awesome a while ago. It's honestly still good when the food is fresh. It's a hit or miss if the chicken is fresh. I've asked for my sandwich to be made fresh and I get told it will be but when I come to pick it up 5 minutes later, it's ready and also the chicken was sitting around already cooked and just warming under a heat lamp. When it's freshly fried and freshly made, this stuff is a complete five star, but the last few experiences I've had it's not been and then it's just ok. Fries were also better when they were made with real potatoes instead of the food colored Mcdonald style fries they've got now.

I did not order food, I live in Maine so I couldn’t have. Someone in NYC ordered $60.20 worth of food from here through Grubhub using my name and card and Grubhub refused to refund it. Forefeathers should do a much better job verifying customer information.

use to buy from them everyweeked but since past few week quality going down the drain but today it was too much so i had no choice to leave a review because i complained many times but they always put it on riders today was the last day i ordered never going to order again

Food is great but they raised all their prices on Ubereats and doordash. 6 piece tender for $24???????? The fries madness is now $17??????? All the fees on these delivery apps are already immense - they decided to raise their prices on delivery but keeping their in store menu the same price. Family used to order every week, but a 20% increase in all items is insane.

VERY disappointed by the customer service from the OWNER himself ! A coworker of mine ordered 6 of these burgers and one of them (atleast that's the one I noticed) had a strand of hair sticking half out of the chicken patty and half inside of it. 🤮🤦🏻‍♂️ I gave the restaurant a call and the owner answered. In the most humble and professional manner, I brought this upto his attention and as surprising as this sounds, he states on the phone call the following, "My wife was here earlier and I think it might have been hers..You can come back and I will replace that burger for you." That was it... I heard this on the call and asked him again if he was the owner because it was pretty surprising to me to hear only that as a response. No apologies or anything else. To which I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked him if he'd be willing to do "more to rectify this rather than just simply telling me to come back to only replace that one burger" which should've been done right to begin with. He flat out said, "No, this is all that we can do." To which I STILL tried to see if he'd be willing to do more than just that. Not that I needed him to but because this is how customer service works SPECIFICALLY in a restaurant business. We spent 45 minutes just to come to this restaurant to give our own Muslims the business and try something new. The burger itself is a standard fried chicken breast, nothing special in taste. You can get the same at any other Halal fried chicken joint. I will definitely not be giving business to a place where the owner himself is not passionate about what he does nor does not does he understand how customer service works. Cooking is an art and serving food to others is a trustworthy and honorable service one provides to the community and for that, we need better examples. Definitely not this restaurant. I ordered fries, chicken tenders, and a burger last night, and it was a terrible experience. I couldn’t sleep all night because of the oil they use—it made me feel really sick. You can’t play with people’s health like this. It honestly tasted and felt like they use old oil or the cheapest oil possible. Completely unacceptable and ridiculous. Do not order from this place if you care about your health.

Ordered burgers but when received it the patty was paper thin. I even ordered double patty so I would be full but I couldn’t believe what I received. Two paper thin patties and they charged me $11 for that. This is totally a SCAM. Unbelievable. I’ve inquired the seller to describe the burger. He described it as “it’s large and juicy” that’s a complete lie. False advertisement. Believing him I bought 5 burgers. Total came out to nearly $55 dollars for some paper thin nasty little stuff. Not even considered a burger. The bread is all you bite into. Don’t buy from them. Complete scammers.

I was really disappointed with my recent experience. The burgers have become noticeably smaller and you practically need to order two just to feel satisfied. On top of that, the buns were not prepared at all, just thrown on. To make matters worse, I ordered a regular Coca Cola but was served a Diet Coke instead. Overall, the quality has gone downhill compared to what it used to be.

I spoke with Mohammad the manager who is an utter clown. He admitted the business doesn’t close any of their boxes to prevent soggy fries and while that’s great they had the nerve to just drop the soda in my food. When the food arrived it was cold. Uber eats stated I don’t qualify for a refund so I reached out to the store hoping they could rectify their mistake. Mohammad proceeds to tell me to get a refund from uber since it’s 100% their fault. I told him I didn’t qualify and he didn’t care and started shouting at me. Just save yourself the trouble with these clowns and go to Raising Caine instead. PS: your fries are trash. Instead of changing fries every other month, just stop being cheap and pay for premium fries. I’ve never seen a business change their fries 3x in just a couple of months.

This place really fell off. It was so good at first , crispy fries good flavor and amazing portions. Now the whole operation changed and it looks like they’re money hungry . The changed the box of the fries madness to smaller one equating to less food while the price is still the same . They give like 2 tablespoons of mac and cheese . And for whatever reason the fries changed to, I had it twice and the first time they were so soggy it was like I was eating mash potatoes and the second time I knew I was done when the everything tasted so bland and unsalted. If you’re reading this management pls have an option for different fries options like curly or crinkle. Not everyone wants fresh soggy fries that lack salt .
