Sparkle is the best bartender ever in Brooklyn areas. She’s so cool and she knows what she’s doing and I highly recommend her as a bartender
Great neighborhood bar that feels like you're in a pub in England
Cool neighborhood pub. Vino was awesome. Stop in and have a drink.!
Stopped in on a Monday. Solid bar, cool staff and patrons. Good happy hour.
You never sing that! Champion of Europes you never sing that! My wife just send me this bar and said it’s arsenal fan club or something. Greetings from Chelsea fans.
This place is fantastic. You've heard of people getting kicked out of bars? Well I was walking by this place, they invited me in, and then they wouldn't let me leave! Would I come back??? 💯 I'm still here! P.S. Check out the solid open mic the 1st Tuesday of every month.
Good vibes and strong drinks. Jukebox and the bartender plays good tunes. I love the atmosphere. I bet it can get really popping in the evening. Nice place to stop in and unwind from the work dayHave to visit late night. Bartender is super friendly. Makes a great Manhattan, IYKYK
This place and the wonderful community it hosts have saved my life more times than I can count. I took a group of friends here and they asked in disbelief how this place could possibly be real. I didn’t have an answer. Still don’t. Get to know the bartenders and they’ll take care of you.
I didn't have any food, but I can comment on everything else. This was my second visit almost a year to the day from last year. My sister-in-law took me here last year as she knows I am an Arsenal supporter! I absolutely love this place. The staff, the patrons, everything and everyone were great. I felt like I was back living in England again (even though I'm Brooklyn born and bred). I highly recommend this establishment!
I came with a family member and arsenal supporter for a game before his flight back home - I myself haven't watched the sport since I was a kid yet I decided to come along and wasn't disappointed. Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff/people and good drinks - would easily recommend and go back myself. Shout-out to Britney for making us feel so welcome!
What can I say, this is the local spot for a drink. You’ll meet your neighbors maybe learn more about them than you want. But in the end of the day it’s a community and the bartenders are always friendly and know how to make a drink. Also if you’re into soccer this is your spot they play all the big leagues on TV.
I went in here with a friend for a drink later in the evening and it was one of the only bars still open in the area. The bartenders were very nice and quick, the crowd was eclectic but very nice and they had a jazz band playing that was lively and got the crowd going. I had a specialty rum cocktail, something fruity and beachy, and it was very good and very reasonably priced for NY. I am from NJ and am not in BK often but if I were in the area I would go back again.
I discounted Highbury initially because it was so crowded during the peak hours, but it’s actually becoming one of my favorites. Hat tip to bartender Kevin — who’s super friendly, very hospitable, and keeps a good eye out for the place. Recommendation: I suggest maybe a bigger wine menu (they only had one type of white wine yesterday). Understandable given that it’s a “guy” kinda place but women like to have options ya know? Also, prices are very fair!
I was in a state... But had a positive experience here. It's small but feels comfortable as opposed to claustrophobic. I thought the patrons were great. Friendly vibe all around where you can settle in for a few pints of Old Speckled Hen and relax. Very local spot, but I wouldn't call it a dive. It's a public house. I was there for the footy. World Cup. Packed in, it was great.
It was an experience. Great bartender with soul shaking club music playing. My teeth rattled as I people watched about 10 dudes, each various degrees of DandD geek / cigar snob / bro or librarian. Like I said...it was an experience.
Come for the UK feel, stay for the great beer selection and quirky/saucy bathroom. I love that the car is wheelchair accessible with a wide bathroom to boot, however, I didn't stay long because of my personal preference for stools with a back. The beer selection was great and the bartender was friendly on a Sunday afternoon. I haven't been for a soccer, football or rugby match but would return.
Went in here and they were cranking "Kids in the Hall" at deafening volume. I like that show but I had some work to finish up so I asked nicely if they could turn it down a bit. The bartender said "this is a bar not a library". There were 2 people in the entire place. Pretty happening scene. TV party!! Also, there was motion smoothing on the TV.
Don’t go there, this bar is no good. This bar is filled with Drama. Not only that, the Bartender are acting like they are doing you a favor by serving you. On Monday, the Owner who owns 1% started arguing with a friend. He was making her responsible for her male friend's actions and for not tipping (wondering why), threatening her to kick her out if she shows up with them again. Is she really responsible for anyone's actions? Then he started with me, calling me horrible (anti-Semitic) names, and because I did not leave the bar immediately he grabbed my Handbag and through it out on the street. My belongings were falling out and people started taking my stuff, my phone is cracked now. It happened before that the owner called me horrible (anti-Semitic) names, but I was falling for his fake Apology ones before when he said he enjoyed watching the video of me getting beaten up. I am so disgusted with the greening face of the owner, because one could tell that he enjoyed what he was doing or what was going on. I was spending my money in that bar for over 10 years. That’s how you get treated then. On Monday night, I had at least 3 male ones yelling into my face at the same time, calling me also horrible names. 3 or 4 guys against 1 female! Amazing! The bartender refused to call the cops when I asked him to. What a nice place to spend your money!
