Super authentic Indian food. The halwa tastes like my mom used to make! Saag paneer and konkon curry are a must. And the mango lassi 10 outta 10b
Found all the classics to be pretty solid, but the real sleeper hits here are on the Nepali Food Menu. The chow mein is incredible.
I recently had the pleasure of trying the chicken tandoori at Indian Curry Heights, and it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in, the inviting aromas set the stage for a great meal. The chicken tandoori itself was perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and infused with a blend of spices that really brought out the flavors. The marination was spot-on, creating a beautiful char that added depth to each bite. It was served hot, accompanied by a refreshing mint chutney that balanced the spices beautifully. What impressed me most was the attention to detail; you could tell the dish was crafted with care. The vibrant color of the chicken hinted at the rich spices used, and it did not disappoint in taste. Overall, the chicken tandoori at Indian Curry Heights is a must-try. It's a perfect representation of authentic Indian cuisine, and I can't wait to return for another round!
My partner and I moved from LA a few years ago and had yet to find a solid go-to home cooked Indian spot that wasn’t wildly pricey. Their lunch special is $12-$22 for a TON of food. It is all homemade and delicious. The staff is warm and friendly and the space has a lot of neighborhood charm. (I love the turtles in their tank). Such a gem.
My experience at Indian Curry Heights in Brooklyn, New York, was nothing short of delightful. Serving a delectable array of Indian and Pakistani cuisine, this restaurant exceeded my expectations in both taste and value. As a tourist staying nearby, Indian Curry Heights quickly became our go-to spot for dinner during our stay. Not only was the food delicious, but the prices were also very reasonable, making it an excellent choice for visitors looking for authentic cuisine without breaking the bank. The convenience of its location near our guest house made it even more appealing, and we found ourselves returning every evening to indulge in their flavorful dishes. From aromatic curries to mouthwatering biryanis, every bite was a delight. Needless to say, we left with fond memories and a promise to return on our next trip to New York. If you're in the area and craving Indian or Pakistani cuisine, I highly recommend paying a visit to Indian Curry Heights. You won't be disappointed!
I tried this place about 2 years ago and found the food at that time below average - oily sauces, dry overcooked meat, old vegetables. However I recently learned that the place has been under new management so gave it another shot. It is a completely different standard. The food is flavorful and well balanced, the herbs are fresh and meats are cooked perfectly moist. Price is fair for the quality. I'm glad to have this as a new and improved neighborhood spot.
Update: this place is now HALAL! Which is amazing, since we already liked the vegetarian food (because we can't have no halal meat/chicken), and now that we can eat the meat and chicken, it's another level of amazing! ... Old review: We were skeptical at first before deciding to order from this place because it didn't have the best reputation, but we heard about them having a new management recently and we decided to give it a go and we're so glad we did! We ordered safe options that we always order elsewhere to play it safe, the samosa and the paneer makhani. we also went and had the cauliflower dumplings just out of curiosity. To put it simply, the food was amazing. The samosa was fresh, crunchy and flaky from the outside and soft and hearty from the inside. The paneer makhani was one of the best we ever had, rich, hearty, savory with a hint of sweetness! The cauliflower dumplings were tangy, sour and rich in flavor. The food overall was not overwhelmingly spicy which was good. We're so happy we finally have good authentic Indian cuisine nearby. They gave us complementary treats that we did not order which was a nice gesture. would definitely recommend.
Visited IndianCurry Heights twice during our stay in Bedstuy. The flavors were great and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant was a bit empty at the times we went, but there was a pretty constant stream of delivery drivers (for take-out). The service was polite and friendly. All in all would definitely recommend it.
I visited during lunchtime and intended to eat there but it looks like they're not serving in store during lunchtime. I tookaway a mixed meat biryani and it was average at best. It could've done with more seasoning. The 3 sauces/condiments it came with, I did not use at all because they weren't exactly tasty. Maybe I have to go back and order their other items but for now, 3 stars.
Trash, the chicken curry is so overly salted you can barely eat it. I mistakenly ordered twice on uber eats . Won’t make that decision again . Their man is a like a store bought pita cut into 4s
Absolutely disgusting in terms of quality. I ordered the chilly momos and Aloo chop. Firstly, it is unclear from the app what the momos contain. Turns out the meat is chicken and it had lots of waste bits in it. I found chicken skin and little chunks of fat and was thoroughly unappetized. I had to throw out the momos. A great reminder to never go to a restaurant without a safety rating. The aloo chop is super dry and there was no tamarind sauce accompanying it inspite of that mentioned in the menu. This place does not even deserve a 1 star let alone a 4.1 rating. Just awful.
I ordered chicken tikka and it was not good at all. The chicken wasn’t seared. The sauce was bland and had no spice to it. The naan was cold and not fresh at all. I had to wait an hour and 15min for my delivery Place was 2 miles away. Never again
