I appreciate all the help from the Director of Events- Sydney & Manager Chris and staff, I had an amazing time! The food was excellent and the service and hospitality was more than accommodating! I will be returning soon for a dinner as the falafel, especially was fresh and delicious. I had a prix fix , family style dinner for 11 ppl and it was was such a success. by the end of the dinner, we had a birthday cake that most of us were too full to indulge in, The staff cut the cake evenly and packed individual to go boxes for each person. Everyone got to enjoy the left overs and cake the next day and it was even better ! Overall just a great experience!!
If you love Mediterranean food as much as I do, Mesiba is a must-visit! Love the atmosphere here - clean, calm, and beautiful. To drink, I loved started with the Strawberry Fields (think spritz!). Every item we tried was delicious: the Hummus, Falafel, Kreplach Dumplings, Roasted Carrots (some of the best I’ve had), Latkes (seasonal but should be year-round) and their unique take on Babaganoush, everything on the menu is worth trying. Their Frena bread is also incredible - so fluffy and fresh. I’d highly recommend!
Great experience at Mesiba. Moroccon fish is a must, carrots were delicious and zaatar bread was yum. Tableside hummus was fun for the theatrics but portion quite small. Overall, great food and experience and recommend for a group. Rare spacious restaurant in WB!
We were pleasantly suprised at how wonderful this restaurant was. The food, cocktails. Atmosphere and service were all great. Honestly one of the best hummus and baba gagnoush I have ever had The branzino and short ribs were delicious as was the potato pancakes Dessert was equally as good. We usually don’t repeat restaurants given how many they are in nyc but I can’t wait to go back here. We will be regulars
I visited Masiba last night and the food was truly outstanding. Everything was delicious, well made and worth the price. This is the reason I am giving five stars. Still, there are a few important points that should be improved regarding the service. The first issue was the response time. It took a long time to get attention, and even when someone arrived, things were not handled. I asked for bread five times with several minutes between each request, and only at the end did we receive three breads together. This was frustrating because I ordered the roasted eggplant. It is a classic dish that is always served with bread, and the price definitely justifies it. Another problem is the staff knowledge. Almost no one knew what was in the dishes, even on a basic level. They even needed a manager to confirm the name of a dish. A good team must know the menu well. I am giving five stars because I came to enjoy the food and the food was excellent. But if this had been a business meeting, the service would have received a much lower score. It is a good restaurant with strong potential, and with a little more investment in staff training, it could become perfect.
beautiful ambiance. great food. went on a calm wednesday evening and it did not disappoint. i’ve said this before and will say it forever.. customer service will always take the cake. our server michelle was excellent, attentive and pleasant. didn’t get to take many photos but will be back.
Had an amazing meal here to celebrate Father’s Day with 6 people!(we all had big appetites) We got a few dips and bread to start along with falafel balls which I think was one of the best items on the table! We also got the shakshuka, French toast, arayes, burekas, hummus and 2 schnitzels. Everything was absolutely scrumptious! I reccomend trying this out for a family brunch or dinner and I definitely reccomend the falafel, bread + dips, and schnitzel!
This restaurant features great modern decor and fantastic food. Conveniently connected to the trendy MOXY Hotel, it offers a bar and a comfortable space to relax before your reservation. This was our second visit to Meseba, and we returned for the delicious variety of Mediterranean dishes available. While the menu had undergone some changes since our last visit, every item we ordered was fantastic, complemented by impressive food presentation. I highly recommend trying the masabaha hummus cart. The presentation is delightful as they wheel the cart to your table and prepare the warm hummus right in front of you. The accompanying warm pita bread is absolutely to die for. The charred ctopus along with tabun roasted cabbage was perfectly prepared as well. For our main coarse we had the branzino fish, sumac chicken and ribeye stake which took some time to make but it was worth the wait. Unfortunately, I had to give four stars due to the service not meeting expectations during this visit. I noticed that our water glasses were not properly cleaned, requiring their replacement immediately upon arrival. Our waiter forgot our drink orders, which required multiple reminders, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy that night since it was a mid-week dinner. Throughout the evening, our waiter needed several reminders for various requests. Nonetheless, I would still choose to return to this restaurant for the outstanding food and atmosphere.
Fellow New Yorker and foodie here - every dish was so fresh and delicious. The hummus is wheeled out on a tray and prepared in front of you, serves with freshly baked, melt in your mouth bread. Underneath the tuna sashimi lies a flavor bomb of a surprise. Do get the Motek as a dessert drink, you won’t regret it. The restaurant is very spacious yet at the same time cozy. Overall a great experience and I will be back to try the lamb!
The place is lovely, love the high ceilings and the vibe. The food was pretty good. I’d highly recommend the lamb’s neck even though I’m typically not a fan of lamb. The portion is huge and meant to be shared with a decent sized party. The hummus was delicious and so was all their breads.
Great spot for dinner with a group or a fun date. We came for an early dinner at 6:30 to a weirdly empty restaurant, but it filled in and the vibe got busy and fun around 8PM. The service was nice, food was delicious, and I loved the vibe inside once the restaurant was full. Standouts for me were the pita bread, octopus, and lamb. All cooked to perfection, fresh, and flavorful! The table side hummus confused me— it was delicious but why is this man coming to my table to assemble already-made hummus? I might be the only one that felt silly watching it but it certainly tasted good😂 We ended with the kiss dessert, which was delicious and creative! I’d come back again.
Wow! What a fantastic dining experience we had last night at Mesiba at the Moxie Hotel in Williamsburg. Mesiba means party in Hebrew and they really know how to throw one! The decor is gorgeous, service was good but the food is divine! LOVED the msabbaha cart which delivers hummus to your table which is silky smooth and full of flavor accompanied with fresh, warm thick pita bread that you could literally make a meal of. We also sampled the latke special and grilled charred octopus for our appetizers. Our cocktails were made perfectly and for our mains, we had the butterflied Bronzino and Musakhan Chicken, which was served over flat bread with spinach, onions and sumac rub. I could dip all night!!!!! I would have rated the service excellent but we were in a back room which the waiters didn’t walk into that often. We had to remind the waiter to send the cart over.
All around excellent experience. I booked a dinner here for 10 with their prix fixe menu. Every course was exceptional from presentation to taste to quantity. Cocktails were inventive and refreshing. Shoutouts to Sydney & Chelsea who were so helpful through the booking process, and Natalie our server who was attentive, helpful, and fun. Can’t wait to return to try more of their menu.
Everything about our dinner at Mesiba exceeded expectations. Natalie our server especially made the experience top notch. We ordered two specials, two starters, and one main. It was definitely a lot of food for two people… but it was so good that we really did eat everything. I would order all the same dishes again but look forward to exploring their menu! The lamb main was a star - but again, EVERYTHING was great. In passing we had mentioned it was a dinner for an anniversary. Natalie and the staff made it a very memorable experience. Thank you! :)
Made a reservation wanting to try the restaurant week menu only got told after arrival that they don’t serve it on Saturday, which was a bummer. BUT - all the food we ordered were really nice. My favourite was the shrimp skewer and the tomato sauce fish. Overall a bit overpriced and there’s no train nearby but will def come back for the food! Fab service as well.
The schnitzel was very good served with crispy fries and a very nice dipping sauce , Unfortunately the falafels were burnt over cooked it had that bad burnt after taste and very prominent cilantro taste, I’m sure they would have been better if they weren’t burnt, if it wasn’t for that it would have been perfect 5
We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary because we had heard such great things about it. I was genuinely excited to take my wife here, which makes this experience even more disappointing. From the beginning, the service was lacking. We waited about 30 minutes without proper attention. Our waitress never came back to check on us, and I had to raise my hand multiple times just to get someone’s attention. At one point, someone came over and asked if we needed help understanding the menu specifically implying whether we could read English. The menu was already in English, so the question felt unnecessary and honestly a bit insulting. There was no reason to assume we couldn’t understand it. I even stepped away to use the restroom, and during that time no one came to check on our table at all. My wife told me no one stopped by no updates, no refills, nothing. The only person who seemed to truly be doing their job properly was the hostess. She was welcoming and professional. Unfortunately, the rest of the service did not reflect that same level of care. I really wanted this place to be special for our anniversary. Instead, it ended up being a disappointing experience.
