Opiniones de Miatzil Brooklyn
I always enjoy stopping by for happy! The food and drinks never disappoint!! We had the steak, Al Pastor and shrimp tacos. We also had the paloma and classic margaritas. Everything was delicious. We also ordered their chicken taquitos, a must!
This was the best restaurant we could have chosen to try authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is beautiful, with both outdoor and indoor seating. They have happy hour, even on weekends, with delicious mezcalitas. The molcajete was top-notch, and honestly every single dish we ordered was amazing. We went on a Saturday around 4 p.m. and didn’t have to wait for a table. Our server was very kind and attentive. The presentation of the food, the plates they use, and they even have Mexican barro shot glasses was all beautifully inspired by Mexican culture.
Visited this restaurant last night and was blown away by the ambiance. I tried finding videos on tik tok and the ones that did appear did not give it the justice that it needs! The food and drinks were good. For drinks, I had the FresaBrosa, it was really good and I had was Once in New York, which was good as well, but strong lime taste. My cousin, had La Pasion de Julieta and La Caprichosa, she enjoyed both drinks. She was able to substitute the alcohol of her choice. As for the food, we had the Paella Mexicana and Ribeye steak, both really good options. And we couldn’t forget the esquite, I just wish it had some Tajin sprinkled on it. For dessert, we had our favorite, churros with vanilla ice cream! As for the service, they’re pretty relaxed, especially if you’re unsure of what you want to order. They allow you to take as long as you need and when you’re ready, wave a hand to get their attention. They played Mexican cultural music throughout the night. I recommend visiting this restaurant, we were pleased!
I was walking by and noticed their sandwich board advertising four tacos and a cocktail for $18—how could I resist? The vibe inside was warm and welcoming, with a super friendly bartender and waitress who made me feel right at home. I ordered two steak tacos and two chicken tacos, and both were absolutely delicious. The house red sangria was also a win. I’ll definitely be coming back as a regular!
If you’re craving authentic Mexican cuisine in a warm, inviting atmosphere, Miatzil in Park Slope is the place to be. From the moment you walk in, you’re embraced by a vibrant ambiance that strikes the perfect balance between cozy and festive. The service is truly outstanding — the staff is attentive, friendly, and makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re coming for a quick bite or a long evening with friends, they go out of their way to make your experience memorable. Now let’s talk about the food — absolutely delicious! The guacamole deserves a special mention. It’s hands down the best I’ve ever had: fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served with warm chips that are impossible to stop eating. The menu is filled with flavorful dishes made with quality ingredients, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable given the generous portions and excellent quality. Another major highlight is the bar. It’s impressively large and stocked with a wide range of tequilas, mezcals, and house-made cocktails. Whether you’re in the mood for a spicy margarita, a classic paloma, or something more adventurous, Miatzil has a drink for every palate. Overall, Miatzil is a must-visit spot for anyone in Brooklyn who loves Mexican cuisine, great drinks, and welcoming energy. I can’t recommend it enough — this place has quickly become one of my favorites in the neighborhood!

The service is top-notch, making you feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food--it's simply divine! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and crafted with such care. I can confidently say that Miatzil has earned its place as my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Brooklyn! Don't miss out on this incredible experience!
Was in the area and looking for a place still open (it was after 10pm!). Found this gem and the rest is history! The food was so flavorful, the staff was friendly, the drinks were on point and the atmosphere was fine because it was late so not many people there! Looking forward to going back ASAP!
Came in for happy hour because I wanted nachos and a drink and it was the best decision!! The steak on the nachos was perfect and I Loved how they did salt and tajin on the rim. The backyard is so cute!!
Came here for happy hour drinks and we were glad that we did. This place is fantastic and everything is made to perfection. The vibe inside is beautiful and the service was great. Looking forward to coming back for dinner at some point. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a drink.
Authentic Mexican food with a very creative cocktail menu. Highly recommended. We had the octopus and Cochinita pibil tacos.
SO, HOW does it feel to show up somewhere and feel right at home? It feels like Miatzil! The drinks, the food, the service, the atmosphere. The Happy Hour prices! Hello Inflation! TODO me encanta. And, Victor is a DOLL! 🥰
My coworker took us out last night for dinner here and it was so good! The nachos were homemade and the guacamole tasted as if they made it just before bringing it out. My ceviche was truly made to perfection and was the perfect amount. The gimlet I had paired well with the ceviche, which helped to amplify my meal experience. The owner was super friendly and kept coming over to ask how the food and drinks were, showing she was attentive and cares about the quality that comes from her kitchen and bar. Esta bien!
This time, we had a FANTASTIC experience. We visited Miatzil back in the spring and thought it was fine (guacamole was not good, but steak tacos and pulpo were wgreat). The waitstaff was professional and sharply dressed. I had maybe the best cocktail in years (Bélico - mezcal pomegranate and rosemary) and my husband had the Oaxaca old fashioned. Our food was fantastic - the paella was super flavorful. The trompito was the highlight though - a delicious pile of marinated pork on a spit with grilled pineapple. Delicious. Ambience was great and the back yard looks lovely. This place is a sleeper hit, don’t miss it!

Months later, those flavors still stand out in my mind. The employees made us feel valued from the first moment. They deliver tasty food quickly. The restaurant has geographic advantage and good mood. Visit this place soon!
Whoa. What a discovery! This is by far the best in the neighborhood. We had the brunch Steak Chiliquiles and the Birriani Tacos. Incredible. Just the right amount of spicy kick. So so good. And $10 margaritas?? Fresh and delicious. Seriously. We live in Ft Greene, but this is going to be our first choice when we want Mexican.
Honestly I was hesitant to try this place but as soon as I walked in it was warm, cozy and smelled delicious! I really recommend the happy hour. We had mezcalitas and nachos then the fajitas were a delicious dinner. The only negative comment is that we only had 3 small tortillas with our fajitas but it wasn’t enough for all the yummy fillings. I would recommend to our neighbors and can’t wait to come back
Very nice little place with friendly service. My wife and I stopped in on a dreary, cold afternoon by chance. The place was quiet but the staff was attentive and the food was great. Their salsa is next level, as were the nachos and the tacos. On a crowded Park Slope strip of great restaurants, Miatzil is a very necessary stop. We'll done.
Run, don't walk! Visiting from the Hudson Valley for a day trip, and my wife & I are foodies. With a hungry 10 year old tyrant in tow, we took our son to the park across the street and killed an hour before wearily stumbling into Miatzil. First off, on a Tuesday to be dead at 6pm is a crime! The Happy Hour here exceeds anything I've ever seen. $18 for 4 tacos & a cocktail (1 of 3 choices.) The service is friendly & attentive, the food is wonderful & the spice level is up there with some of my favorite Oaxacan venues down in Mexico. This hidden gem in plain sight deserves all of the love from the Park Slope community. Much love, Anton
Our waitress Sharon was great, attentive, the host was welcoming and everyone wore a smile. The food was great, fresh, seasoned. Tres Leches finished a good dinner off. All our drinks were also great!

The food was excellent! Really unique flavors and high quality ingredients. And the staff were very nice. Very cozy atmosphere.

We went in for a date night on Tuesday and really liked this place! They have a taco Tuesday deal which is $18 for 4 tacos and a drink. You can get two different types of tacos. I got two chicken and two pork, and a spicy margherita for my drink. The food was delicious and filling, and the drink was good and strong with a yummy tajin salt rim. For $18 this was a great deal, I would definitely go again! We also got their churros with chocolate for dessert and they were delicious
