Opiniones de Omar Bagles & Restaurant Brooklyn
This restaurant is one of the best places to get food in the city. It is very reasonably priced, and comes out warm and full of flavor. The staff are very nice too! I highly recommend it and will def be coming back!!! 12/10, crushing it!!!!
Had dinner here. Food is delicious! Nan, so good. And it is affordable. No complaints. They were packed, so service was a bit slow. But the staff is kind and humble. Highly recommended!
Loved this spot when I lived nearby, and now delivery from a few neighborhoods away is super fast! Consistent and good portions for the price. Give them some love!!
We got take out and it was excellent, great Indian flavors, nice portions. I am vegetarian so all of the veggie dishes we have ordered have been delicious. The food is fresh and not oily. Great Indian spice. Highly recommend! Also Omar and staff are generous kind people.
I’m a local & Omar’s is the literal best!! Open late & extremely delicious food at unbeatable prices for Prospect Heights (combo appetizer + entree + naan is ~$19). The bread / naan is an exceptional mention…some of the best I’ve ever had. Think: cloud-like & oil-drizzled, crispy corners, savor every bite. The service is consistent & to-the-point; everyone kind of keeps to themselves, but they’re responsive to requests. The vibe is great for solo dining but you can easily enjoy a table with friends. They’re usually playing looping nature scenes on the TV (lean into it). And don’t be discouraged by the amount of open tables! I think they just do a lot of take out orders, but I love to come sit & eat & reflect here. I recommend all the chicken dishes, the Channa masala, and — again — the naan. Thank you Omar’s!
Best Indian Food in the city! Whether you are looking for a cheap, sit down meal with lots of friends, or a family dinner, Omar’s is perfect for your needs. They have delicious, flavorful, and pizza with unique flavors. The traditional Indian food is also really good, full of delicious tastes and you can tell it’s made with love at this family owned restaurant. Go to Omar’s!! You won’t regret it 🥘
OMAR'S INDIAN FINE CUISINE delivers quality in all aspects. The employees offer friendly interactions alongside tasks. Their menu options all pleased me. Everyone who works here is kind and the environment feels good. I can't wait to return!
I was in the neighborhood around 1:30pm on a Friday, and I saw that Omar's had decent reviews. There was only one other party aside from me inside, and they have a decently sized space. The interior has a nice ambiance if you do decide to sit down. I thought the special was a steal for $17.95! I ordered the vegetable samosas, naan, and chicken saagwala. The samosas were the hugest I have ever eaten, and the filling was very tasty. There was a bit of a kick to the curry filling if that's something you are sensitive to. The naan could have used a touch more moisture, but I liked that it wasn't charred and had some fluff. Regarding the saag, the chicken was MOIST, which is such a rarity in curry. The saag is also more on the pureed side, which I don't mind. Flavors were on point, and I only had to spit out one cardamom pod. When I sat down, they brought me a large bottle of water, so nothing needed to be refilled. Service was more impersonal, but maybe would be better if it was busier. The one complaint I had was that one of their employees came back from a smoke break, and the cigarette smell was so strong and disgusting. Overall, this will be going down as one of my new favorites, and I will be back to try the unique pizza and some of the other dishes.
I love Omar’s. I’ve been here several times—even though it’s a bit of a hike from my apartment—and I’ve also ordered delivery. The food is consistently outstanding: simple, classic Indian dishes that are fresh, flavorful, and an incredible value. Their prices have stayed remarkably reasonable over the years, and they haven’t cut corners on portion sizes. The dinner combination (entrée, side, and bread) is my go-to, and it’s always enough for two meals. The service is friendly and welcoming every time. Highly recommend.
Had takeout. The pizza was quite good. Crust was both fluffy and crunchy, which is ideal. The chicken vindaloo pizza was quite spicy— very nice! Chicken tikka masala pizza was mild but still flavorful. Vegetarian pizza was similar to any other veg pizza I have had. Would order here again.
First impressions are very important that being said I’m amazed by their unique style and flavor of dal makhani. Omar’s Indian Fine Cuisine has plenty of selections from vegetarian to fish dishes! They also make their local favorite Pizza. Great for groups, friends, families, and couples alike! Nice top hits music playing in the background, the customer service is superb! Come by Omar’s Indian Fine Cuisine give them a try and your taste buds will thank me later.
I was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was. On a stroll near by I happened to stumble upon the menu and had to try the Chicken Tikka Marsala Pizza. What wonderful flavor and texture not to mention how pleasant the staff was. I will definitely be back. Please give this establishment a try. It is definitely worth it!
I had a couple slices of pepperoni pizza last month here with low expectations and was impressed. Best pizza in NYC? No but up there with the best $3 slices in NYC. The bagels are handmade here and lovely as well. But on to the star of the show: the Indian food is great. Chicken Chaat was really spicy in a nice way, a medley of great flavor with some heat. Samosas were fresh and crunchy on the outside. Lamb biryani was delightful, not too herbaceous but well balanced and nice meat chunks. I'll be back soon to try the Indian fusion pizza! Can't wait. Update: the Indian pizza is the best. Why is this not a thing yet? It will be soon. The crust could be better but the flavors on all their pizzas are phenomenal. The chefs here are creative and care about the quality they put out. I just tried their bagels again and maybe I got a fresh batch but they are so much better than I remember. Soft and chewy with perfect flavor. Not very dense but I think that's a plus. Omar's is one of my favorite places in Brooklyn. They deliver quickly and everything is great. We've ordered a dozen times from Omar's and have never been disappointed. My favorite dish is probably lamb korma. I hope they will offer a lamb korma pizza one day. I luv Omar's!
Good Indian food, along with NY style pizza with Indian toppings. Prices are really good and staff were really friendly and helpful. They have ample indoor seating, some outdoor seating and a very large number of options including breakfast food. Interestingly, they also have bagels. They have a really nice $15 combo were you get We saw a lot of people getting take out and delivery too while we were dining in. The appetizers, samosa chat and fish tikki were very good, main course the lamb vindaloo and dal makhani were good but had a little more tomato than we typically see in India.
Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and lamb vindaloo lunch box. Good amount of food for $15.95, came with rice, dahl, meat and naan. Lamb vindaloo is spicy! Chicken was ok.
Food is decent. I went for the lamb korma and also the mango chutney. I will probably order again. I will say that the only other time I had lamb korma was in England and I liked it better there. The food is well seasoned though.
Had a lovely experience at this place! The flavors were rich, authentic, and beautifully balanced—especially the curries. I had the chance to speak with Chef Khan, and it’s clear he takes great pride in his craft. The food truly reflects that. Only thing I’d mention is that the portion sizes could be a bit more generous for the price, but overall, a fantastic meal. Will definitely be back!
$6 Pastrami with egg & cheese on a roll. Good flavor & meat portion. Food preparation took a while even though it wasn’t too busy. But worth the wait, food came out warm & toasty. Outdoor table seating with BYOB option is a plus. Bike friendly. Place is clean and the staff were polite & courteous. I will also visit again to try the curry chicken on next ride 👍
i was excited to eat there because of the glowing reviews from INFATUATION. WTH, did i just try and force myself to like. papdum was stale, the 2 fish dishes were tasteless and inedible. inedible meaning, literally inedible, it was rock hard. not to mention tasteless. I feel like this place is a scam,. i was even thinking, maybe the main chef left? Everyone has to make a living, but i felt like I just threw a bunch of time and money away. This place needs to clean up thier act quick.
Would not recommend. I’m not sure how it got these reviews, but we ordered take away and as south Asian, I do not approve of the food at all. The rice came overcooked. The chicken tikka masala was watery and did not taste like what it should be. Also, chicken tikka masala is sweet, It should not be sweet. The baigan barta tasted more like burnt coal coz of the utensil than anything savory. Samosa had no taste at all. The samosa chaat is soggy. The food has no taste whatsoever. Waste of money. We threw everything. So disappointed.
