We went to this restaurant and were greeted with a warm and homely environment the service was very good and friendly. The interior is beautiful, and the food is even better. We ate a variety of things on the menu (muscles, steak, crab cakes, calamari, salads and more) we would like to have eaten more but we couldn’t eat anymore! Come here and bring your friends.
I already third time coming to this place , and it is always perfect , and fresh , you will be happy , and full for sure
Fettuccine Alfredo is good for me. I finished it but forgot to take a picture.. The fried calamari is also good. The owner and waitress are friendly.

Went for the first time today, a Friday early evening. There was live music, which was nice. Customer service was good, very attentive. The food was very good. I ordered a Skirt Steak well done. It was so yummy. It came with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, broccoli and corn. Yummmmy.

I was really not feeling any restaurant cause you spend alot of money with the prices going and the food is nasty. Just horrible. I told my coworkers that i finally got me a restaurant Food is good reasonable price. After work i went back order three bisque soup for myself and my coworker they love it . Thank you I even got half lobster excellent.i told my son i went he laugh. Finally great food .
We’ve visited this place many times with friends and we absolutely love it. Every dish we’ve tried has been delicious. This neighborhood truly needed a spot where you can enjoy a variety of cuisines in one place. I’m really surprised by the negative reviews, because everything we’ve had has been top-notch. The chef does an excellent job.
Wow! Amazing! The portions are HUGE! I got the skirt steak and it was enough for four. It came with potatoes and vegetables. The grilled flavor in the steak can’t be beat. We also got the NY steak. Also huge and cooked to perfection. The oyster Rockefeller were the best I have ever had. My new Brooklyn favorite!
Food excellent especially the steak, waitress very friendly and always taking care of our table, vibes really good for a date or even with family, definitely will come again.

What a wonderful dining experience. The food was outstanding. The service was prompt and friendly. They had live entertainment with a singer who is very talented. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. The lamb shanks were tender and amazing and the ribeye was in a word wow
From the moment we walked in, Sophia Restaurant I was impressed with its warm, elegant atmosphere and exceptional service. Our server, Svetlana , was knowledgeable and attentive, making great recommendations throughout the meal. The food was absolutely outstanding. If you’re looking for incredible food, top-notch service, and a truly memorable dining experience, Sophia Restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Tried out “Rare Italy Restaurant Steak Lobster” — though let me just say, with all due respect, they might want to rethink the “Italy” part in the name. Felt more like “Rare International Deliciousness,” but hey, marketing isn’t my lane, food is! Let’s get to the real deal: Grilled Spanish Octopus – Absolute winner! Soft, perfectly cooked, and came exactly as promised on the menu. No surprises, just ocean-approved deliciousness. Rockefeller Oysters – Hmm… we had a little plot twist here. They snuck bacon into the mix, and unfortunately, that was not mentioned on the menu. If you’re not a bacon fan or have dietary restrictions, that’s a heads-up moment. Bit of a letdown, but at least now I can say I survived a surprise bacon encounter. Stroganoff Beef with Mashed Potatoes – WOW. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, mashed potatoes seasoned to perfection, not too salty, just right. Basically, this dish gave my tastebuds a hug. Baked Lobster – Another home run. Tender, flavorful, and executed with love (or at least with butter, which is practically the same thing). The vibe? Spotless space, nicely decorated, and major shoutout to the waitress — funny, friendly, and definitely made the experience even better. Would I go back? Absolutely — just maybe skip the oysters or make sure they update that menu. Overall, great spot for seafood, steak, and good laughs.

Came here for dinner after taking kiddo to the NY Aquarium and Luna Park. The food was so so. Nothing remarkable but the service was very attentive. The atmosphere was light and airy. The boss and the owners were quite accommodating to my daughter since she was crying and didn’t want to be in the restaurant. I give them props for that. But the serve and owner kept on coming over to ask if they could take our plates even though we were not finish eating yet was a little annoying. But overall, it was okay experience. The food was quite pricey though and I am not sure if it is worth the cost.

Food wasn’t that great but our server Svetlana was amazing as she made sure we had a good time and served us well. She made really good cocktails but food needs improvement.
One part of the meal (a sandwich) arrived approximately 1 1/2 hours after ordering. After ten more minutes passed beyond that delivery, we canceled the other parts of the order (a salad and vegetable side). They refused to cancel them and brought them out after we said we would not pay for them, as we had to leave and it had taken an unconscionable amount of time to deliver, even after we canceled. They refused to take anything other than full payment. The salad that was ordered also was missing key ingredients (as mentioned on the menu; see attached images), and the owner refused to look at the menu to even make the comparison. One drink we had ordered was a Mojito and that came about 80 percent mint. They have no tap water. The toilet had no toilet paper. If this works for you, enjoy. It's not an experience I would care to repeat.
Went here to get a happy hour margarita. It was empty and I wanted to leave so I asked her for them to go. Instead of just filling our drinks up she said this is all I get because I’m taking it to go because my cups are not the same size as the to go cups. That’s cheap. Fine dining? No, actually mediocre.

The owner called the police because we chose not to eat there. We ordered the food and canceled within two minutes because in the review, we read that the owner was racist, so we exercised our right not to support a racist business. The police came and spoke with him; then they turned to us and said it’s our right if we didn't want to eat there. We said thank you, officer, and walked away. Additionally, we never drink or eat anything, we were in or out under 5 minutes.
This place is an absolute disaster. My husband and I waited over an hour and a half for our food. First, they brought us a beef salad instead of the steaks we ordered. Then, when the steaks finally arrived, they were completely wrong — we asked for well-done, and they came out bloody. On top of that, we were forced to pay for everything. The owner was unbelievably rude and had zero sense of customer service. Avoid this awful restaurant at all costs.
We went in today I went to use the bathroom while my cousin sat down at our table and the owner asked me if I wanted to use the bathroom or eat as if I couldn’t do both. The waitress had to get permission to serve us tapwater that we requested. We ate our appetizer calamari (with cold marinara sauce) and when they brought out what was supposed to be paella we both tried to bite into the food and the rice was extremely undercooked and hard. The owner never offered to correct it just told us it should be hard because it was risotto not rice (I’ve never had hard risotto) he became very argumentative told the waitress she was not allowed to talk to us and it got to the point where the police had to be called he accused of ordering to use the bathroom then cancelling. If I could have given zero stars I would have.
If you're into long waits, wrong orders, and rude service — this is your dream restaurant. My friends and I spent hour and a half waiting for our "well-done" steaks. Eventually, the steaks arrived — raw, of course. Apparently, "well-done" translates to "still mooing" here. And just when we thought the experience couldn’t get any better, the owner graced us with his charming attitude — rude, dismissive, and clearly allergic to basic hospitality. We paid full price for this circus. Highly recommend... if you're into culinary disappointment and verbal abuse.
Extremely racist owner. 0/5 — If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with suspicion. Our group of five was racially profiled while we waited for everyone to arrive. After we placed our orders, the owner came and demanded we pay before our food was even cooked. When we asked why, he said it was because we were a “big group”… five people? Really? We noticed other tables and some with larger parties were not asked to prepay. When we decided we no longer felt comfortable and said we wanted to cancel the order and leave, he returned the card he had already taken and said, “I trust you.” Then added something along the lines of, “People come here and eat and leave without paying.” That comment made it even clearer that he had made assumptions about us and not others from the moment we walked in. This wasn’t just bad service. It was targeted, discriminatory behavior. No one should feel uncomfortable or unwelcome when simply trying to enjoy a meal. We took our business elsewhere to a place that treats all customers with dignity and respect. I strongly encourage others to think twice before supporting a business that operates like this.

This is a fusion of Mexican and Russian food. I love both foods separately but this food is HORRIBLE. Everything is mediocre at best and the kitchen has zero integrity. They sold me rotten oysters, I had to spit it out and it was black tar in them. They saw it & didn’t address it. Didn’t bother to take it off the bill, switch it out with something else or even simply asking was something wrong after the waiter watched me spit it out. Me and my fiancé were also the only ones in the restaurant so there is no way she didn’t see. We paid for our bill and left but I definitely wouldn’t recommend wasting your money here.
