Opiniones de The Crabby Shack Brooklyn
I had the crab roll and cole slaw. It was lots of crab meat and the roll was nice and soft. My spouse had the 1/4 lb shrimp and 1/2 lb crab legs with broccoli. We both enjoyed our meals and will go back. Oh peach cobbler for dessert. Yummy 😋
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. I felt very welcomed, and had a great time. The food and the drinks were outrageous. Britany recommended the mahi mahi, and boy was she right. We will definitely be back!
Love this place on Franklin Avenue! Had crab tacos: warm shredded crab in a soft taco. Serious YUM. Ice cold margarita to wash it down. And the music! Classic R&B always has my heart. Casual place, casual vibe, and the food is killer. Go there now.
Had to support my people. Nice little spot in BK. Some outside seating. Good music with dj outside. We had the fish tacos, crab mac, and clobster roll. Fish tacos were very good. Fried fish well seasoned and crispy. Flaky and moist inside. Sauce on top was a add compliment with the slaw. Crab mac was good. Very cheesy. Good flavors. Cheese choice was good as it wasnt sharp. Real subdued and morese nutty. Clobster roll. First off, most packed roll eith seafood ive had since boston. Crab and lobster was so tender and flavorful. I like that it was jus a soft roll and seafood and not smothered with mayo, as it tends to overpower and keep the lobster/crab from shining. Despite simple and no sauce, it isnt dry. Def a spot to go and grab some quality seafood and enjoy the local BK scene.
Listen!!!!!! This is one of the best crab places that I’ve had outside of Maryland, and DMV does crabs! I ordered the crab cake sliders- which were HUGE! The sliders had no filler, soft and cooked to perfection. It was paired with homemade wasabi mayo that was delicious! Please do yourself a favor don’t walk to this place.. RUN!
I love love love the food, the vibes, the owners... just everything about Crabby Shack! Ultimate #ShineAnyway!
I celebrated my Birthday at Crabby Shack with my daughters. We had a wonderful time. Delicious, meaty crab legs, yummy spicy shrimp, scrumptious fried fish and refreshing and creamy pina coladas. Also the crab and corn chowder was out of this world. Would I come again and recommend Crabby Shack to friends and family absolutely! 🥰❤🌟🧁🎂🍤
Great food. Great people. Love coming here.
Crabby Shack is a Soul Food seafood spot. It’s quaint with a soulful vibe. My youngest son and I go there all of the time. I do fried whiting and fried shrimp all of the time. I always add lobster to the crab chowder. It’s so good.
Delicious, the crab roll is really good. But I do wish they would use a real lobster roll bun and not a hot dog bun. Either way it was still fire. Mac and cheese was great too.
The food is good and the place has a nice vibe. Most of the people I saw there were trendy. The staff was cool and there was a crowd but we didn't have to wait for a long time at all. Before you order, check out the signs for specials. Overall, I recommend the Crabby Shack to anyone looking for good food and something different.
We went here for lunch/dinner. I had the major seafood dinner with scallops, shrimp and lobster. It was great.
We stopped in here for a casual dinner after drinks at Bad Seed Brooklyn. It was amazing! The highlight was the Shack Tots - tater tots with crab, queso, bacon, and chives - which were phenomenal. The crab BLT was great too and the cornbread was different than any I've had before but still super moist and just the right amount of sweet - almost a very light dessert by itself. We will definitely be back to this neighborhood gem!
Holy moly. I saw this restaurant on Facebook and I’ve been dying to go and it did NOT disappoint. Clobster roll (half crab half lobster) WOW I have no words for how amazing the food is. Great vibes with really nice employees. Oh man I just discovered my new favorite place. It’s so worth the trek out to Brooklyn.
Black-owned business! I hadn't been here in a few years. Since NYC had entered Phase 2 (COVID), and I was craving seafood, I decided to stop by with a couple of friends and enjoy their outdoor/curbside dining. Got the shrimp and snow crab combo with mixed butter for a little kick and a side of potatoes. Service was good and the food was tasty as well.
Heard that this place was a must for a foodie like me. And I was NOT disappointed. The customer service was excellent. The crab and corn chowder was good. The crab taco was delicious. The clobster roll was outstanding. My hubby had the crab mac and said it was excellent. I cant wait to go back and try other things on the menu.
OMG!I really enjoyed this establishment and the food & drinks was delicious. The crab legs with the garlic sauce is DELICIOUS.I also had the crab, lobster and shrimp tacos which was also DELICIOUS.The owner is very friendly.I will definitely be coming back more often even with my picky daughter. Also my pressure did not increase while eating their food so that’s a definitely a + IM RETURNING & going to get take out for my mom & sister.
The price is great, the music was great, cute vibe. Now about the food… I got the clobsger roll which was crab and lobster. It was pretty good but I think I would for sure just get the lobster roll next time. My favorite thing I got was the crab grilled cheese. That alone gets five stars for me. I’ll be back there soon. I made a quick little video on Tiktok showing everything I got (name: tashakeepstalking)
My oh my! My boyfriend & I found this spot after leaving one of his friends art show. We were curious to try the crab BLT & it was very delicious w/ the tots. Definitely worth it. The music was popping! I couldn’t stop dancing. The drink was very good 👍🏼& the BANANA pudding? I would recommend it after a good meal. It was sweet & delicious 🤤🍌 Lastly, the lady that attended us was very welcoming & kind. We will be coming back again soon!
The food, restaurant and staff are spectacular. My husband loves crabs legs but finds them really fiddly to eat. He spent a good 45 minutes working away at them and said they were delicious. Before we left, the waitress came out with a bag of extra crabs legs and said they'd noticed he was struggling and wanted him to have a little extra to take home and enjoy! It was a lovely gesture that made an already great dining experience even more memorable.
kept seeing happy people in the window everytime i walked by and wanted to be one of them- wearing the bibs and getting down and dirty. it certainly exceeded my expectations. the butter sauce that goes in the steaming bag was just incredible and not too salty. was perfect to dip the cleaned shellfish back into and with the veggies. the staff is also really nice. well worth the price point and effort put into cleaning it.
So flavorful and super delicious! I got the crab & corn chowder and the crab BLT and both were so fresh, so tasty and exactly what I wanted. The chowder was amazing and has great chunks of crab in it and was creamy but not too rich; it has great pepper and seasoning flavors. The crab BLT was just insanely good - totally craveable.
Crabby shack doesn’t disappoint. The food is always fresh and that’s big for seafood. I live near by and there’s days I get home and it’s the day they’re closed and I’m like oh God now I can’t get my crab fries 😂. Support support support. Black owned business. Woman owned business. We have to keep these business alive here in Brooklyn!
I’m vegetarian and I just can’t help but go to the crabby shack bc they’re so darn cute (and I’m a cancer). The food is delicious enough for me to order a meal out of sides so I can’t even imagine how delicious the seafood or the chicken is. Can’t recommend it enough and everyone has only ever been helpful and kind when I’ve gone in!
Had food delivered and it was nice and hot and great! Fresh and tasty and cooked perfectly. Give Crabby Shack a try and you won’t be disappointed!
Absolutely a great place to get a lobster roll or their signature clobster roll. Their seafood is tasty! Also — they have one of the best pina coladas I've ever had in Crown Heights (and probably in Brooklyn).
Everything about this place was bomb. Customer service, vibe, music and food. I got invited here for a local dinner date and I enjoyed the mac and cheese, fried 🍤 shrimp and 🥦 broccoli. I did get to taste the 🍤 Shrimp & 🦀 Crab Combo which was very delicious. Everything was great, I was so indecisive due to the wide selection, however I will be returning for more‼️‼️‼️Don’t sleep on the beverages because they hit. I enjoyed the Froze and Pina Colada. Pina Colada was my fav. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lady owned and operated for 11+ years. The food is incredible! If you want healthy options like fresh crab or shrimp bc you're doing a keto/gluten-free thing, or maybe you want a taco or some lobster Mac and cheese.... chowder.... a salad...or a lobster roll... or a lobster + crab roll.... or a chicken + rice bowl.... or a maybe you're just interested in their tasty frozen beverages.....there is something for you. They also have great hot sauce that you can buy. Can't recommend enough.
Great service and fresh food. The cornbread was HANDS DOWN MY FAVE!! 10/10 recommend! They have something for everyone. Liquor and rum punch as a beverage option. The Roll is a HIT!! They make homemade sauce as well! The chipotle mayo should be made in a bottle to go!! Nice crunch to the crab cake! Tacos have a nice flavor! So delicious! They have daily specials! Clean bathroom, and seating area both inside and out!
been here a few times now and y'all are missing out. stop by and enjoy delicious food, a wonderfully warm welcome, and a very cool vibe easy dining inside. great spot for a networking lunch, a simple birthday party. and you'll support local entrepreneurship. Franklin Avenue is where it's at. c'mon down. highly recommend the mac and cheese and the fish tacos with pickled radish and a tasty sauce.
THIS RESTAURANT IS BLACK & WOMAN-OWNED + THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!? But seriously, I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. The food is always hot, fast & flavorful. They have outdoor seating available which is nice during the pandemic. The rum punch & margarita are delicious. I recommend the grilled cheese, clobster, & crab BLT as well as the crab & corn chowder! I’ve gone multiple times and now know, I would order a few things & try them out, especially if you’re hungry & want to be full. After trying the crab Mac & cheese, I didn’t love it but try it for yourself & see. Everything else is so yummy!!!!
The food was excellent and well seasoned the variety is plentiful the service was very nice and helpful I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to consume great seafood and sides!

Very expensive! My boyfriend and I had a Clobster roll each (25 dollars each). The meat and the bread were good but there’s nothing else in the sandwich, no sauce (unless u pay extra) and the size is just 6inches so if you’re too hungry you’ll have to pick something else.
The host did an exellent job at moving the long line through and reminding customers that there is no reserved tables. The food came out with great timing considering the amount of volume. The cornbread was more of a sweet cake, good, but I prefer it more dry. The crab legs were moist and well seasoned but I could do without the strong butter and taste the meat as close to its original taste. The crab mac n cheese was delightful. The homemade ice tea and lemonade, perfect! The decor connected with the water theme! Overall, splendid and you should bring some scented wipes...oh boy!
The seafood is pretty decent. The fried whiting comes with two slices of bread and some garden greens. I requested tartar sauce but that didn’t make the trip. Could be the fact that the delivery guy dropped the order before handing it off in a torn paper bag. The crab blt was excellent! Eat everything fresh when you get it. Any reheating will not generate the same experience from the original time you got your food. The fish was good and the crab tastes fresh. I would try it again.
Overall rating: 4.4 Cute seafood spot in Crown Heights. Food was good & it was nice trying Alaskan Crabs for the first time. That said, it was very expensive. The lobster roll was good & the staff was really friendly. This is more of a hang out spot than anything else. I would recommend if you love seafood.
Great shrimp, crabs, and fish. Excellent corn bread. The drinks are a nice touch lending to an island vibe. The chowder was awesome, too. I like all different types of music. That being said, I understand that we were in Brooklyn, but playing rap music the whole time we were there was not cool. I am a native New Yorker, and so were my guests. We are from different age groups. It would have been nice to hear a variety of music instead of what the cashier and / or kitchen staff prefer. Other than that, the food was great and the place was very clean.
This place is black-owned which is great, and my food was decent. I ordered a Clobster roll (½ crab + ½ lobster), tater tots and peach cobbler (not pictured). I've ordered here before and loved the crab rolls with great seafood portions. However, this time the crab portion was too salty for my taste. It seems the lobster was fine, but the crab half was high in sodium. The tots were crispy, but could have done without them. Lastly, the cobbler was sadly a disappointment. I honestly make a better peach dump cake. All in all, I gave them a 4 out 5 towards room for error. Staff were friendly and the outdoor seating area is lovely. Please monitor your salt. Thanks! 😉
Food was not bad. I had the Crab BLT; husband had the Lobster Roll. We enjoyed both sandwiches. The Banana Pudding is NOT something that I would EVER order again, and the drinks were a bit watered down but they quenched our thirst. We would go back and order the sandwiches and maybe just have water.
The group consensus was to return and bring more friends. This place proves itself time after time. This meal ranks among my top dining experiences. The Crabby Shack shows impressive capability. I wa…

For what I spent I would have appreciated more sauce and for my shrimp to be cleaned and not a poop string running down all of them 🤷🏽♀️ turned off by that I left them in the bag and ate the crab legs. Chowder was good and so was the cornbread. Wouldn't order again tho
Cute small spot that I’ve had my eye on. The person working was friendly. The food we got was not good. I’ll focus on the lobster roll which ended up being a warm roll (that’s not traditional and should be called out) but more than that it did not taste fresh. It tasted like overly seasoned lobster to mask that it was frozen lobster past its due date. At $30 per roll, which is the going rate for fresh lobster at nice places, this was not good. I hope it’s just a fluke but for two rolls, two frozen drinks and tip, at almost $100 it’s too expensive for frozen old lobster.
The service was fine. Got the 1/4 shrimp and 1/2 crab with garlic butter. It was lacking in flavor and the shrimp was overcooked. Would try again to get something that isn't a boil as others seemed to enjoy those items more.
Whiting was good, but I like mine with toast or cornbread. Tacos were very good👍. Crab roll good, but not $20 good. Lunch ran over $75 for 4 people. It's New York so I expect to pay more. Overall, I was satisfied...but there is room for improvement. I know another place that is a better value, but I will comeback because I love the effort and community placement...
As an overview, let me say that my dining experience was entirely decent. I would have happily paid $15 or even $20 for the dining experience I had. My main rub is that I really expected more of a wow factor from my $33 order. Now for the details... The good: I placed a seamless order for a lobster roll, a bag crab chips, and a craft soda. Based on wait times quoted by seamless, I expected it to arrive in about an hour. It showed up hot and juicy in just 15 minutes, and I was ecstatic. The order was accurate, and the soda was truly delightful. The meh: I REALLY love lobster rolls. I would drive hours for a good one, and I was drooling at the prospect of being able to order a hot lobster roll right to my door. When I took the first bite of this lobster roll, however, sparks did not fly. There was nothing wrong with it, per se. I just really wasn’t blown away. Perhaps it was the house lobster sauce (it hid some of the delicate lobster flavor). Perhaps it was the potato roll (I tend to be partial to brioche). I can’t say why with any certainty, but I can say that I have had superior lobster rolls at this price point. For a mid-range lobster roll, I would expect more. The takeaway: This place deserves another chance. While I won’t entrust them with making me another lobster roll, I would be interested in tasting their crab roll, or perhaps a few of their crab tacos. I’ll revisit this review when I have a chance to try something else. And for a good Brooklyn lobster roll? I suppose I will just have to subject myself to the exorbitant prices and unbearably pretentious staff over at Maison Premiere.
I was really looking forward to having lobster roll in the neighborhood so I stopped in. Fist thing that threw me off is the outrageous increase in their pricing. The lobster roll was once $20 but is now $34!!!!! It’s not only the price of the lobster roll that went up but all their items…. by a lot. I purchased 3 items and the total was $88 The crab and lobster rolls were just ok. The bun was barely buttered and toasted. The crab grill cheese however was good and filling.
I say The Crabby Shack is just okay b/c of the service. In a Sunday afternoon an hour after opening there was a long line and one person taking orders! The shack is also too small! They need to invest in a second cash register & most certainly open a second, if not third location to accommodate their growing business and long lines. BTW... don't ask for the crab & corn chowder. It's no longer offered so they need to revise their menu.
I ordered from this restaurant on UberEats. My ordered included: - 1/2 Pound Spicy Steamed Shrimp - Honey Butter Corn Bread - Broccoli I was not impressed to say the least. The shrimp was over cooked and the buttered broccoli was below average. The Honey Butter Corn Bread did give my rating a boost as it was delicious. I can't say that I would order from the restaurant again or recommend to my friends or family.
I used to order from here religiously to the point I had to stop because they raised the prices and my pockets couldn't afford it as often as I was ordering. Every once in a while I will treat myself and I'm not sure what happened over the years but the crab and lobster rolls just have not been the same as they were when I was emptying my bank account to order it. I'm not sure if the recipe changed or the chef changed but the seasoning is just not hitting the way it used to. I just had a dry lobster roll and a crab roll that tastes like the sea. I'll try the food again in week to see if maybe today was a bad night because I KNOW what this restaurant is capable of when it comes to these sandwiches and I'm hoping they are still just as good.
The prices increase every time I go and I go often! The orders are never complete. I’m always missing something. Yesterday my lemonade was missing. The last time I went an order of tacos was missing. The time before that, my cornbread was missing. Check your receipt and orders before leaving the store! Excellent, Excellent food though!!!!!!
The food was good, but small portions for such high prices. A very small cupcake size Mac and cheese was $11(I wish I would have known how tiny it was before ordering). I also found a few shells in my Lobster/Crab Roll. It was not pleasant to bite into.

I’m not one to leave negative reviews unless I feel responsible and called to. I even messaged them directly through IG before making a public post but heard nothing back. I ordered a $27 fries with crab on a Friday and found it offensive that the fries was a regular side size of fries with lots of something like an aioli sauce and almost zero amount of crab , only a tiny strands if you looked for it. Could have easily got the mediocre fries from any other fast food place. So disappointed.
Doubt I'd order from here again. The crab Mac and cheese taste like..... Box mac and cheese without the crab. The only thing that was good was the cornbread. Luckily I didn't play myself by ordering that lobster roll that I wanted. The portion is so small, I was shocked when I opened the paper bag. They played themselves.... Won't be back here again, sorry.
I had a disappointing experience when trying to place an order over the phone today. The staff member I spoke with seemed unhelpful and came across as unfriendly, which made the interaction unpleasant. Good customer service is important to me when choosing where to spend my money, so I wanted to share this feedback.
I’ve tried this restaurant several times because of how convenient it is to pick up food up the street from my house. Last few times I’ve ordered the food hasn’t been great or really worth it, in my opinion. I ordered the wing with 2 sides and an order of shrimp. Wings were dry and taste like it was microwaved and drenched in sauce, Mac and cheese had an aluminum taste to it from the little foil cups they cook it in, and the side of shrimp were salty and rubbery. I should’ve stuck to my guns and not eat there after I saw a roach at the bar. SMH. I really wish it was better!
This place is highly overrated. People who can cook or those with actual taste; know this ain’t it. 1- THE FOOD IS EXTREMELY GREASY AND FATTENING. 2- Crab mac n cheese is so cheeseY, it’s disgusting. You don’t taste any of the seafood, all you taste is cheese and salt 3- the $17 crab roll is BASIC 4- the fried shrimp are OK I Spent $46 for something new and this food is worth $15. Honestly. It’s not all that.
I'm from Boston, so I love a good lobster roll so I said let me give this place a try. They give very little lobster meat that was tough, overseasoned and on a hot dog bun for $37.02. No thank you
The food and pictures must be better when seated in person because the $90 I ordered and waited over an hour for, just wasnt worth it to me.
To bad they don't allow zero stars, this place is horrible, this is my third experience with them after a long break. They haven't changed my food never arrived and you can't contact the restaurant. I support GOOD Businesses, this is not one. I think they write they're on reviews on the good delivery apps.
Just had the banana pudding which in the past I LOVED!!! This recent purchase it was horrible, the worse I ever had! Why did they change the recipe.!! ? I ordered 4 and after tasting one I should of just giving back to the store for free, but I tossed 3, 6$ puddings in the garbage !! Good luck with that recipe! Hope you bring back the other.
I ordered the Mac and cheese. I waited almost 30 minutes and the staff neglected to check on my order until I asked twice. Instead of making plain Mac and cheese I was given crab Mac and cheese. I said it was ok. This is the worst version of Mac and cheese I’ve ever tasted! The entree is swimming in oil and cheese. There’s barely any crab and what is added is artificial crab meat and tastes more like fish than shellfish. There is no binding agent and there oily residue throughout. Never again!
Hard to review food that didn't arrive. I was gifted the signature dinner kit for 4-6 people. The clobster kit is advertised for 4. Two rolls arrived. The kit advertised 1 lb crab legs. They didn't arrive. Two and a half pounds of crab Mac and cheese. Very small tray arrived. I think they packed the wrong order and didn't quality check. No response from the restaurant when trying to rectify. The picture on the left is what arrived. Notice the missing crab legs. The picture on the right is what is advertised.
Never ordering from here again! I Just ordered 1x 16 oz crab and corn chowder 1x 12 oz lobster tomato bisque Side of corn and coleslaw And what I got is a 12oz plain tomato soup and a 12oz crab chowder with some awfully tasting corn with half of it missing actually .. all that for 50 bucks! It’s worth noting that the coleslaw is literally two bites Maybe in house dining is better. If you dare, try it, but for take out, they apparently serve the worst from whats been left of the day ... just horrible
I know lobster rolls in NYC are always pricey, but what they serve here is tiny and still way overpriced. The portion was so small it felt more like a snack than a meal. On top of that, they make it more complicated than it needs to be — too many extras and gimmicks when all people want is a simple, well-prepared lobster roll that actually lets the lobster shine. I just don’t get the hype. For what you’re paying, you expect quality and value, and neither was here. If you want to try a real lobster roll in the city, maybe try Luke’s Lobster — the rolls there are straightforward, authentic, and actually taste like what a lobster roll should be. The Crabby Shack just doesn’t deliver. I won’t be back.
I’m so thankful to read these bad reviews and to think I was planning to order for my mothers birthday dinner from here, but after all these horrible reviews I would never step a foot in here or spend a dollar here. You want good seafood head over to Randazzo’s clam bar in Sheepshead Bay and if you want good soul food head over to Vera’s on Sutter ave. This place shouldn’t even be in business no more.
Keep getting text messages every week to support this place, so I decided to do it today but never again. I try using their website but I can't order the food bowl because I'm required to exclude one item for me to add the item. So I ended up using Uber eats to place the order for pickup. Order the chicken bowl with extra shrimp.... I only get shrimp ☹
