One of the best places to go to for a good mexican authentic dinner. The tacos and drinks are always amazing, service is good, and the wait time isnt too bad, however it will be better if they improve that, overall great meals everytime me and my family go. This is an update review August 2023, just to say how disappointed I feel because I love this place but last week I took my family and friend for dinner, it was a bad idea, first of all the food portions were just too little, and a taco of chile poblano, was just half of the chile, filled with a very very spicy jalapeño slices, and when I told the waitress that my friend couldn't eat the taco because of the spiciness, she just said sorry, and act like nothing... till I ask her for a cup of water.

Celebrated a birthday dinner here, they accommodated my group of 9 amazingly even though I had set up a reservation for 6. Usually other establishments will make a big deal about that. The waitress was very friendly and the food was amazing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the tables are much too small for the size of plates they use for the food.

The wait for the food was super long despite having no more than a handful of customers there. The flavors were there but the cuts of meat were very low quality. I found multiple pieces of extremely tough inedible tendon in my asada burrito and many little chopped up pieces of hard chewy pig fat and skin in the carnitas burrito. They use a lot of black beans as fillers for their dishes. Even the nachos we ordered was loaded with black beans, which was completely unexpected. The prices were not bad but not the best. I'll probably get my Mexican food elsewhere next time.

If it were for me I would give it no stars ✨️ at all. I went there and the service was horrible. The food had no flavor at all. Looks like they have new people working there now. The food used to be good, now it sucks. I highly recommend the food from Tacos Matamoros. The food there is super Delicious 😋 I promise you,, you won't regret it.

I was starving tonight when I saw this place and I thought, I haven't ate Mexican food for a while. So I decided to go in and get some food for me and my family. So I ordered three burritos. With carne asada Which is beef made on the grill. Also ordered three tacos with pork on the grill, Sounds like a very simple order, right? Wrong! Got home. Went directly to my dining table. Took a big bite. And I thought where is the flavors? Burritos usually come with lots of flavors. Like with beef, rice, beans, onions, cilantro, And your choice of white cream.Sauce or guacamole I asked for guacamole I opened up a burrito. And found that there was no cilantro. No onions. No guacamole. And basically no flavoring whatsoever. And to top it off. They gave me the wrong order with the beef tacos. They gave me three small rolled tacos.. That was hard as rocks , and the meat the was inside. Was burnt to a crisp. I would have returned the food back for a total refund. But I already travel 20 miles to home so I couldn't. I called them and told them that I didn't order those three round tacos. And That they were burnt. And the burritos were totally flavorless. He said he'll talk to the chef and offered no resolution. Stay away from this place unless blan hospital food. And they're not that cheap in price. I have paid a lot less for a lot better food.

me and my family was at this place on Saturday (10/21/17) the food was ok thats a + for the chef, but d#^$@n the waitress lord jesus they were so rude they did not came to our table not even once to check if we needed it some which we did, and when we called them they would leave us hanging and would act annoyed when we ask for something. they did not serve us nachos but they did to the 2 couples that were sitting right beside us we were the first to get there and are food was serve way after them. point is they are not the best fit to be an waitress they weren't pleasant, or enthusiastic, they made us feel very uncomfortable. and of course i wont recommend this place to anyone. (this goes to the owner if he evers come by his reviews be very carefull of who you hired to work for you they can ruin your business) and almost forgot you guys do overcharge tres potrillos has better service and great food and they aren't so expensive.

The only reason they will get this one star is because there isn't an option for zero stars!! I was in the neighborhood and decided to try this Mexican restaurant. First of all, the waitress was extremely rude when ordering. The food took about 45 minutes and we only had ordered tacos and a platter. My food comes and not only did they get my order wrong but when I asked about it they gave me some bs excuse ! I asked for 3 tacos of carnitas and they gave me 3 of buche and they said that they're restaurant considers them the same ! I am Mexican and I know the difference! However, I did not make a fuss and just asked for my bill. When the bill came they added extra items to it! I asked her why they added these items so she took them off. When she brought my new bill she took of the the extra items but instead increased the price of my other platters so the bill still came out the same !!!! I asked for a manager and the manager told me that prices are subject to change. I've never experienced such disrespect in a restaurant before. He ended up changing the price again but I will for sure never come back. This restaurant prefers to lose a valuable customer than lose $4. Don't come here unless you want bad customer service and be ripped off !!!
