Opiniones de Union Hall Brooklyn
This bar can be anything you want, depending on the day you visit. Personally, I prefer a cold weekday afternoon spent in front of their fireplace, but if you want a crowd, Saturdays are jumping. The food is decent, the bocce always has people lined up to play.
With two outdoor seating areas one in front, one in what would look like an alley giving a rustic classic look and having inside games, seating with bookshelves and even a peacock statue the atmosphere alone is amazing. The Brooklyn cocktail is my personal favorite with a nice balance. Definitely coming back
Really cool atmosphere, and our bartender was super friendly. Had a pretty decent beer selection, as well as some good food stuffs. Bar games like bocce ball and darts could be found here also. Didn't get too crowded, despite it being a Saturday.
A really lovely neighborhood spot with a swanky, but fun vibe. Friendly service, great draft beer selection. Large bar with seating, plus leather couches/chairs if you want to be a bit more cozy.
Great atmosphere for a first date or some relaxing drinks. There are couches in a section that looks like a library or one's next to a fireplace. They also have 2 bocce ball courts that are free to play.
A great experience but only to be really experienced on the weekdays, preferably off hours. The food is good and the beer selection is good as well. The prices are fair. The real reason to come is to play on one of their full size bocce courts or read a book by the wood-burning fireplace from their large selection. You feel super classy coming here for an afternoon beer. On a weekend night it is too packed to enjoy usually.
Came here for drinks on Sunday night and had a great experience! Drinks are average priced, ambience is great, and the music is not too loud. I would come here again!
The entry area has a classy looking library feel. There are two fireplaces which make for a cozy atmosphere. The main area has two bocce ball courts, and there's an event space downstairs. Decent drinks and food on the menu as well. If you can't find the right spot/vibe in here you're probably not gonna find it anywhere.
A great combination of a good beer selection, a great atmosphere (dark library meets bocce courts), and friendly service. Even though the wait for a court is often very long, it's almost as much fun drinking a good beer and watching others play. I haven't had the food, but I'll definitely be back for the bocce!
Super intimate venue for some of the best comedy in NYC
This is a lovely versatile venue. I love watching comedy shows here. It has a nice almost rustic aesthetic. It has a lovely area to engage with your friends in games. The food is delicious. You certainly need to add this venue to your list
Been coming here for 11 years, and never have a bad experience. Popped in for a very brief one between apartment viewings, and enjoyed an excellent sour and 'smoothie'/lacto IPA. Lovely staff, beautiful venue, bocce (wish we'd had time to play), excellent beer selection. Just a perfect neighbourhood spot. I also hear the events/comedy shows/etc. are well worth a visit too.
My favorite local spot in Park Slope. Great drinks, bocce courts, and a cozy fireplace to curl up by.
The vibes are immaculate here! I went on a Friday night for a friends birthday. Before midnight we were upstairs, playing, bocce ball, getting some drinks and ordered some food. The basket of fries with the garlic aïoli sauce had the spot, as well as the chicken sandwich, which was pretty massive (should be for $15!). When you order food, they give you a little beeper that will let you know when your food is ready. I thought it vibrated but mine didn't so I would watch out for that. It definitely glows red though. After midnight, we went downstairs for karaoke, and it was so much fun ! You get on stage like a true star and the Brooklyn vibes really do hit all the way through. Such a good crowd, so much fun! We danced and cheered everyone on. They even saying happy birthday to my friend and had her get on stage. I would totally come back here. Bathrooms here are all gender bathrooms and they're pretty clean !
We attended the comedy show from Tiny idea stuff, super funny and best entertainment we had through a week of NY. Robust but cozy place, orginal and the Boccia game was unforgettable.
I’ve been to this place many years ago and loved that area with bookshelf and oversized leather chairs! So glad to have visited it again recently and see the books and chairs are still there!!!! Staff is friendly and helpful, bartenders are nice and courteous. Reasonably priced with decent bar food menu. They have an outdoor seating area and this place usually gathers a nice crowd. Great place for that bar night out with a friend or two.
impeccable vibe, truly was so cozy and so many places to sit and talk. went to see Delia Delia and met lots of sweet people :-) cocktails were good too
Really fun bar, with bocce and stand up seemingly every night. Love the library feel with the leather accents and books. Big ole bar, with pretty great service. Good beer selection, which I'd stick with over cocktails here (cocktails will take longer, could be a bit better IMO). Still a great weekend spot.
Very cool spot. The vibe is a homey reading / game room.
If a library and a brewery had a love child… this would be it. Endless drinks, and fabulous bites with such a laid back atmosphere. NYC dog was my favorite🙌🏻
Great atmosphere. The Bocce in the middle of the bar is a fun little activity while you have an excellent local IPA
Such a cool vibe. Whether you get to play bocce or not they have good food, a nice assortment of beers on tap, and a little room downstairs where they often have comedy shows! It's a good time
Been coming here for years. Bar tenders are the best, professional and can handle a packed bar with style and grace. Beautiful and cozy ambiance for such a large space. There are two bocce ball alleys which makes for a fun time. There are many shelves full of books and a couple fire places to sit near and read. This venue is always spotless and well-maintained. Definitely a go-to spot. Good for dates, and great for a large group of friends
Great to see them open again and felt really comfy the whole time. Went on a Tues night and really good options for seating inside and out depending on what is comfortable for you. Easy ordering through app and very friendly service. Drinks only from what I could tell for now. The inside was super clean and you can smell it. Felt cozy and quiet and really good for catching up with friends whom you haven't seen since the pandemic started...plus the Bocci lanes are open!
Great place for some beers and bocce! Dark atmosphere with comfortable seating.
Great food, great atmosphere, & bocce ball!!
Went here one time with a group of friends to play bocci. That same night i went downstairs and found out there was a DJ downstairs playing really good music, the dance floor packed! That night was an experience.
This place has a really great atmosphere. The seating here is really comfortable and a nice place to bring a date or hang out with friends. Good cocktail selection and decent food. They have two Bocce ball lanes in the back as well to mix things up and it can be quite fun.
One of the best bars in Park Slope, the comfiest leather couches up front and bocce courts in the back. They host events/comedy shows down stairs throughout the week. Good selection of beers/cocktails, they also serve food but haven't tried any of it.
Good bar with Good selection of beer and whiskey. Sometimes loud but you can find quiet places most days to talk with friends. Bocce Ball is weirdly fun and totally worth playing. Recommended for people in the neighborhood looking for something to do.
I've come here for dozens of shows and I love it! the bar is great, good beer selection, very cool dim lit wood filled vibe, usually space to sit or at least stand around. They have shuffleboard but I've never tried it, often people are playing though. The venue downstairs has its own bar, it's a intimate space, limited seating, low ceiling, stage is right there, every show feels like you're just hanging out. Easy to deal with tickets via their eventbrite. I check back on the schedule monthly and try to come here often.
So fun! Indoor bocce... you can't go wrong! We had such a lovely time and it was perfect for catching up with some friends! Drinks are reasonably priced especially for Brooklyn, and the beer selection is good. Definitely plan on a few hours here to play and enjoy!
This is a great bar and venue in BK. Primarily come to see shows downstairs but the bar vibes are amazing. Beer and shot combo. Tasty bar eats. Great beer selection. Friendly staff.
Amazing experience seeing Natasha Mercado’s #1 Son here. Loved the performance space downstairs! Intimate but robust. The drinks were great and I loved chilling upstairs with the fancy furniture.
Came here for a comedy show and had an amazing time! Didn’t have any food and unfortunately at least downstairs they didn’t have anything non-alcoholic to drink aside seltzer with lime. But overall staff were friendly, cozy atmosphere and bocce. Food looked good as it passed. Downstairs is very den/basement like of course but upstairs is honestly beautiful.
One of my all time favorite bars w/ entertainment options such as shows, music, and a bocce "baci" ball pits. They even have an outside area where you can smoke. They also have multiple seating areas for example couches, comfy chairs, booths, bar, and a fireplace. Love the unisex bathrooms too.
One of the best venues in Brooklyn for comedy. Chill bar w bocce and a nice outdoor area. Nice couches, inches and nooks to hang out in, "cigar lounge" type vibe without all the smoke.
Been going here for years. Nice local spot to grab a drink with friends.
Really like this place, cold beers, super chill atmosphere and food menu was good. Definitely will be coming back. The whole sofa area is like your at home relaxing. I thought the books on the shelf were just for show, but they're actually books you can read and not just decor.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This is a great spot. Awesome vibe from the front door all the way through. Areas for everybody. You can sit and relax with a drink or snack in the "library" or at the bar. You can play some indoor bocce ball or even go downstairs to see a comedy show or live performance. Prices were reasonable and food was super tasty. Can't wait to be back.
Came here for a friend’s birthday. It was a very cozy space. I wasn’t entirely sure if the bocce ball court was open to the public, but it definitely takes up some space. The bathroom on the main floor has super trippy floors, but not in a bad way. Service was pretty good. Food took a minute, even on a Monday evening, but it was worth the wait.
I’ve been coming here for like 8 years now and it’s one of my favorite places in the city. I’ve seen countless incredible comedians who have gone on to do big things. And tix for shows are so reasonable! The vibes upstairs are immaculate and every time I come here I lament not spending more time just lazing on a couch by the hearth. I need to remember to come at a weird hour so I can finally try bocce!
A very cool spot l. Dark and well lit at the same time. Draft beers were cold and delicious. I ordered the hot dog ( New York style) with fries ( a bit to salty but worth it) and the wings were great. I'd definitely come back
I hosted a 50-person party at Union Hall and reserved the back platform with an open bar. Nora, Tom and the entire team made the experience seamless. The team was very responsive in the planning process, and service was great throughout the event. The staff was friendly and totally on top of food, drinks and cleanup the whole night and we never had to ask. Our friends and family loved the atmosphere, vibe and uniquieness of the bar and everyone said they had a great time at the party. Highly recommend hosting an event here.
If I lived in a brooklyn, specifically near the barclay center or further out, this would be MY SPOT. I had never gone here for a show before and the downstairs area is quaint and adorable. Fits about 80-100 people. Went for a book launch/comedy show and it was spectacular. Prices on food and drinks are relatively cheap and the staff is super accommodating. Love the shuffle board and the old school library vibes when you enter. So far my experiences are 3/3 and it’s also pretty close to several trains!
Honestly a very good vibe. I love that they have shows in the basement, a fun game area, party deck and a very large bar that really takes care of everyone.
Great place, great drinks, chill atmosphere, this place actually has books that you can sit down and read. Would recommend.
I’ve only ever came here for karaoke. But it’s an awesome venue. The bartenders are chill and nice. Karaoke is a great time every Friday. And Jay tremendous always brings the energy and makes us smile.
Hosted an after party for my wedding here and it was fabulous! Staff, especially Nora, were so helpful in getting everything set up and it was all ready for us when we arrived. Great drinks and communication all around! So happy to have ended our weekend here!
We had a small private event at Union Hall on the “raised platform” for our wedding weekend and we were so pleased! Nora – the general manager – was our point of contact for organizing the private party. Nora was prompt to provide information, describe the food & catering options (including concerns about dietary restrictions), and explain the options available to us for an event bar tab. We had Union Hall provide a large amount of food for our guests including mini cheeseburgers, French fry platters, hummus & vegetable platters, and pretzel bite platters. The food was enjoyed by ourselves and our guests, with not a single piece of food leftover! We had requested food come out in two “waves” and when the first wave was quickly finished, Nora and the Union Hall team were flexible and able to accommodate an earlier start to the second wave of food which was greatly appreciated! We opted to distribute drink tickets to our guests which they redeemed at the bar. This worked very well for our guests who had no problems redeeming them at the bar. Overall, we would highly recommend booking Union Hall for any semi-private events you’re hosting in Brooklyn! Between the thoughtful staff, great food and drinks, and bocce ball, it’s the perfect location for a laid-back party!
Awesome place for any occasion . Staff is super , atmosphere is unmatched . There is a little courtyard if you want some outside time as well as 2 bocci ball courts indoors and an event room downstairs for live shows ranging from a dj to a band to comedy . Drinks and food are on point you should definitely yo check this place out .
We stopped here for a quick drink and I wish we could’ve stayed longer. The cold brew espresso martini was so good. One of the best ones I have tried. The bartender was really nice and fast service. In less than 1 minute we had the menus, waters, and he was making the martini. We will return!!!
I went there for the LA comedy relief night. I was surprised by the interior of this place. It looks like a country club! Huge games to enjoy, a wide bar, comfortable couches like you’re in some mansion, and an event place to throw your comedy gigs and acting skills! It’s a great venue to throw your gigs at for sure!!!
We went to Union Hall because of the pictures we saw online of the leather couches and I was looking for a library style place where I could read and have a drink. This place is many places in one: a chill leather couch and book vibe with a bar, a bocci court area and then a downstairs which I didn’t visit. I loved the spicy margarita I had and appreciated the quiet atmosphere of the couch area, but it’s definitely a place for young people after a certain time, so if you’re looking for these vibes I recommend arriving very early.

Upstairs it looks like a bar with bocce lanes. Down stairs it is a comedy club that seats about a 100 souls. Nothing about this place could be called elegant, but it is comfortable.
I've avoided this place for years because they allow children. I was very pleasantly surprised when I finally stopped in. There were children, but they were in the back and not running all over the place like I feared. I love the huge bookcases and comfy seats near the front. I had the sangria, which was delightful. Our bartender was super nice and gave great service even though they were busy most of the time we were there. I did not get any good, but many other people were eating and the food looked and smelled good.
Great atmosphere and a good place to meet up with a large group of friends. I was a huge fan of the walls of books and couches that surrounded the fire places. The beers on tap were a bit strange and we had to taste a bunch to settle on one that was decent. It did start getting ridiculously crowded part way through the night and took almost 20 minutes just to close out a tab because of how many people were pushed up to the bar. That said, we'll likely be back.
This place is great. One of the best in the neighborhood. Classic hardwood decor. Great draught selection. An indoor bocce court features prominently in the center of the space. Downstairs for comedy and karaoke. Great outside area for smokers and those who want to step away from the crowd. You never feel like you're overpaying for the level of class and quality being offered.
I would definitely call this a hipster bar. They have bocce on the main floor. But we went because they had a dance party downstairs and it was awesome. The DJ was great, they played all old school, 2000's Hip Hop and we had such a blast. They have coat racks downstairs which is nice. They also gave plastic cups downstairs before you went to the bar, but then behind the bar they take the cups and give you different cups, which is weird. Regardless, it was fun.
The atmosphere was fantastic, with cozy couches, stylish bookshelves, and a bocce ball area. However, when we ordered nachos, they came with slices of tomato instead of salsa. What is that about???
A great place for a fun/chill time with friends.
This bar has a number of amenities that make it stand out like indoor bocchi and a comedy hall downstairs. There's even a library. However, these come at the expense of seating. I came here on a Saturday night and couldn't find anywhere to sit. I just had to stand for a bit and spy out a chair as soon as I could grab it. Their beer selection is alright, though lacking in a broader variety that would help it stand out.
I like this place because it is nice and cozy and has cute couches and fireplaces. The bocce ball looks fun but is always packed so I've never had the opportunity to play. They have a nice little nook to go outside. They have a downstairs part for entertainment. Overall it's a great bar.
solid local spot. very bustling with lots of types of local sexy folks of all shapes and sizes. the food comes out pretty fast and the fries stayed crispy for a long time and held the sauce pretty well. prices are great considering its proximity to barclays center. not a great spot for great night this seemed like a place for singles looking to mingle.
Nice, spacious venue with mediocre beer selection, but they have a fireplace and nice comfy seating. They have shows nightly, but I'd advise buying tickets in advance as they tend to sell out. The place tends to get overbearingly crowded on weekends, but can get pleasant other nights of the week. Overall a good go-to place to hangout if you live in the area and/or want to catch a comedy show.
Drinks were very good and the poutine was fantastic, I would definitely eat here again. However the bartender did ask me for documentation for my service dog which is illegal under federal law. We were sitting outside where they allow dogs so I didn't push it but handlers be prepared to sit outside or have a possible access issue! Super good food though!
It’s a cool spot, I like the lighting (very dim) and the decor. The place looks like an old mansion’s library, it’s fire. Bocce ball, it’s a very big place and gets really busy/ packed on a Saturday night. It’s better suited for bigger groups. I was with one person and it just kinda felt like we were in the way.
The fireplaces are the big draw, but the etiquette surrounding their use is haphazard. Bocce/Pétanque is fun but again, crowded. The food and drinks are okay. The comedy is reliably enjoyable.
Nice vibe. We came for show on lower level. After that ended we came up for a drink. Good selection, fast service. The only thing I wasn’t used to was there was one bathroom in lowered level with about 8 stalls for all people. After the show a lot of people left, so using the bathroom on the lower level with no one else around was not comfortable. If it was on upper level, I’d feel better.

Cool vibes! They have bocce ball, which is kinda cool. The inside vibes are very library meets bar, and I'm here for it. They also have happy hour until 7.
Maybe I'd like this place better if I played bocce. But I don't, and the courts take up so much room, that it makes the rest of the space feel crowded sometimes. The library vibe of the bar is cool, though, and much better during off hours. Decent patio and downstairs performance space. Drinks just a touch pricier than they should be.
Attractive ground floor furnishings, good variety on local beers. Didn’t have a cocktail, and they need to update their listings because they do NOT serve food at all. The “show” space is a tiiiny basement; if you want a seat, arrive we’ll before start time. Lastly- who the heck mixes bocci & alcohol??
Super beautiful space and great for a snack and drink, unfortunately the staff is super rude and seem like they hate their lives.
The bar area is nice, very lowkey and good for conversation; the staff are all nice. I went here because my friends and I bought tickets to see a comedy show in the basement; it was sold out, but it was insane how many people were there considering there were only 50-ish tickets for sale. Doors for the show opened at 7, we got there at 7:15, and there were so many people that there was not enough standing room to see the show. We could only get standing room right next to the door, and even so the door wouldn’t have had enough room to close completely because we were legitimately blocking the hinges, half-outside of the basement. We got stamped, tried to tough out the standing situation, but ended up leaving by around 7:30. It was so unenjoyable to be in there, aside from it definitely being a fire hazard, that we left. I don’t know how the venue allowed this situation to get as out of control as it did. I think that the venue should sell the tickets directly in the future so they can track the attendance and cap it after a certain number. There were no less than 120 people downstairs, it was a dangerous situation at worst, and a disaster at best. Like I said, the staff were nice. I’m sure the entertainment was great, I just hoped that my group would have been able to actually be in the room for an event that we paid to attend. 2/5 for poor event planning, everything else was good or passable
I will never come back here ‼‼ \nHorrible establishment and very prejudice.\nTonight when I was meeting my friend for her birthday I walked in and showed the bouncer "Anthony" my ID. He continued t…
