Really great place to stop by for breakfast sandwiches! We ordered the chicken wrap and the OG egg sandwich. Both amazing, can’t recommend enough!

This is my favorite coffee shop in greenpoint. The vibe, music, and selection of seating options is great for chatting, working, eating, thinking, whatever. The people that work here (Christian and Mike) make this spot feel so neighborhoody.

WOW! Literally Wow. I don’t even know where to start… pretty small area in a pretty boring area of Greenpoint, but A Taiwanese gem! WenWen was recommended by a friend, so I knew I had to try. Upon entering you are greeted by staff and checked-in. We had reservations, so we were seated as soon as our table was ready. We ordered a bunch of things off the menu. We started with the Popcorn chicken and pea shoots. Then the chili oil wonton, and lo ba beng. Then topped it off with the beef fat chili oil noodles. Everything was bomb! I have absolutely no complaints! My favorite dishes had to be… omgosh I can’t decide everything was perfection: I highly recommend you add Wenwen to your list, you won’t be disappointed!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited this restaurant on a rainy day, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip to New York! Coming from Toronto, where there’s no shortage of Chinese restaurants, I was truly impressed by how authentic this place is. The beef noodle soup was absolute perfection — rich, flavorful, and comforting. Every other dish we ordered was just as incredible. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated right away. The host and staff were attentive, checking in regularly to make sure everything was great. The entire experience — from the cozy atmosphere to the delicious food — felt genuinely welcoming and full of heart. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving authentic Taiwanese food or just looking for a satisfying, well-prepared meal in the area. Definitely a must-try!

As a Cantonese speaker, I was very excited to hear old Cantonese music playing and see the poster of one of HK’s comedy legends. Not sure if that’s authentically Taiwanese but doesn’t bother me. The food was very good and would love to go back and try other dishes. Service was fast but would not say anyone is rushing you so you can still move at your desired pace.

Amazing food and great service. we had the shrimp floss lettuce wraps, the pea shoot and tofu skin, and the beef chili noodle dish My wife forgot she is a bit allergic to shrimp and that same night she threw up all of it, doesn’t matter, we will be back and order it again 10/10 fully recommended

Greenpoint gem! I loved every dish in this restaurant, especially the popcorn chicken. Fried rice is good, but I wouldn't get it again; it’s too simple for us. I would recommend the chilly noodles and steak.

The chicken was truly enjoyable, and I appreciate the effort put into the preparation. Perhaps a touch more salt for myself would have been perfect. I found the dish to be satisfying overall, with a delightful texture. The culinary experience presented was certainly a positive one. Furthermore, I would really enjoy just a cuttlefish dish. It would be a welcome addition to the menu. I am looking forward to future dining experiences.

Really unique and solid food. The cuttlefish was something I've never had before it was so delicious and well cooked. In all honesty we came for the BDSM fried chicken and it was just alright. I wish they brined it longer and it had more salt but it was well friend nevertheless. The beef oil noodle was the highlight of the menu by far. Incredibly flavorful and well cooked. I'd come back just for that

Food 9/10 Solid Taiwanese food. 卤肉饭 was so gas and the portions were quite large too. The shrimp toast was also very unique, I liked the consistency of the shrimp inside paired with the crispy crunch of the exterior. The popcorn chicken was also quite a delight, with the right amount of seasoning that makes you want to keep on eating more. Atmosphere 9/10 Plenty of natural lighting in the restaurant, with a good number of seats. I thought the menu was super cute too. Service 9/10 Friendly!

This is the full package when you’re missing home. Atmosphere in the back room is where you want to be if you want Taiwan vibes. In the front you got cute plants and warmth! The service was wonderful, great suggestions and checked in kindly. Food was BOMB. We ordered a lot but probably could have done without the fries. Those felt the heaviest and I didn’t get as much out of them as I was expecting. The tots rolled with egg pancake was a new move. I appreciated it because the tots were super crunchy so it provided a nice texture! Everything we got was great. And we ate it all!

Good vibes and nice hot drink. I have ordered Matcha latte hot . It’s so good with almond croissants…. Such a nice place to visit.

The music was soft, jamming, catchy and chill. Can’t go wrong with Bob Marley in the morning. The Egg And Bacon sandwich on an everything bagel was bomblicious. The eggs were so fluffy and the sandwich was so savory. So much eye candy to see. Went two days in a row because work pulled me there.

We went to Wenwen after spending time around the area with no reservations, with the wait being around 40-50 minutes for 2 people. The wait time was accurate and we sat at a table and ordered several things off the menu. We ordered jade rogues, beef noodle soup, fenzheng pork, koshihikari rice, and lobabeng. The beef noodle soup was extremely flavorful and the portions were surprisingly good and filling! The lobabeng had several flavors that complemented each other very well! The service was great and the staff is very friendly and attentive! Overall, this is a place that I would visit again, preferably with a reservation next time :)

We came here for dinner, ordered more than enough for 3 people. Appetizers were REALLY good, entrees so-so, we ordered the Beef Fat Chili Oil Noodle, everything tastes good on its own, but the beef and noodle don’t taste like they come together as one dish. Fried rice was pretty good though, definitely recommend to come here for their appetizers!

This Taiwanese restaurant has a great vibe with fast service. The food, though a bit salty, is packed with flavor and the portion sizes are decent (wish the apps were bigger) We went for a weekday lunch, so the menu was limited. While we enjoyed most of what we ordered, the pork chop rice was a miss, and we wished the noodles in the Taiwanese noodle were a bit firmer. No outdoor seating.

Cute little spot for chill vibes and good food. We got the fried tofu, I would recommend that. I liked that the most! I wouldn't get the chicken. I thought it was a bit dry. They only sell a few throughout the day, but you dont have to try it so don't worry about it if they sell out. Looked pretty, but only the dark meat part of it was good to me. Half the chicken was a little too overcooked. The fried rice was good 👍 a little salty for my taste, but helped with the dry chicken. The noodles were good. Definitely get the fried tangyuen, it was unique and i actually enjoyed the pairing of the chives with the ice cream and sesame with a bite of friends tangyuen. Yum!! Overall and good meal. Didn't have a picture of the noodles because it was pretty good and forgot to take a photo

As a Taiwanese, unfortunately this won’t be the place I recommend. It’s selling average food with pricy prices. Not bad but it doesn’t worth it. 🥢Beef noodles were good but you can find it somewhere cheaper or better with the same price. Fly head was average too. Adding 3 pieces of greens costs $6.

It’s clear that the beef noodle soup broth was not cooked with bones, as broth should be; there is a flatness and watered-down flavor to the broth. The beef shank is cooked perfectly, very likely with a sous vide, hence the perfect cooking in the texture.

Came here with a reservation and a group of 5 friends! We were seated quickly. Good: - The food was all really good - the popcorn chicken was solid and I liked the flavor of the fried rice as well. - Chili noodles were tasty but not very spicy so it’s more a mild kick, great chewy texture - Food all came out really quickly Bad: - A little cold inside, round tables were hard to make conversation at - We were charged incorrectly (actually were charged only for 40% of our meal) and we decided to go back to the restaurant and tell them about the mistake. Instead of thanking us or acknowledging it, they took 10 minutes to charge us the full price with no apologies or gratitude for waiting or coming back, which made us feel bad for doing the right thing, and now don’t feel great about customer support here. Just left a bad taste in the mouth Overall, the food was decent but felt bad about doing the right thing.

Found this place super unfriendly. I asked what nuts are in the granola in the yogurt bowl as I have an allergy to a couple of types of nuts. I was told, and I quote: "it comes with granola, I don't know what's in the granola." with a shrug and slight roll of the eyes. There was no queue behind me, this was 10am on a weekday. Way to support allergen decisions and make your customers feel small 👍

La Croix's have more flavor than my hot chocolate... I’m typically an Italian macchiato “in the smallest cup you have” kind of guy. My disappointment stems from the specificity of my order, the upcharge it incurred, and the complete lack of effort to make what I requested—resulting in a large cup of tasteless milk that left me overcharged and unsatisfied in more ways than one. This was my first visit, and while I appreciated the atmosphere, I ultimately left very disappointed. Craving chocolate, I settled on a large hot chocolate with a double shot of espresso. The cashier pointed out “mocha,” to which I clearly restated and explained my order. I walked away to settle my things and heard the barista call out “Mocha,” immediately followed by “Hot Chocolate,” stated by the cashier, so I grabbed the only cup on the counter. The drink had a light foam on top, but as I continued, it tasted entirely of milk, without chocolate or coffee flavors. Expecting a semblance of my order, every sip was a letdown. The bottom of the cup confirmed why—it was labeled “Mocha,” and at that size... let’s just say La Croixs have more flavor.

If you have a trust fund and love coffee served with a little extra pretentiousness that takes an eternity because you enjoy your barista having extended convos with people at the bar about their “vintage clothes” (think classic I dress like I’m homeless but I’m rich look but don’t actually have any guilt about my wealth look) then you’ll love this place. The shop itself is wonderful the cashier was nice too. Obviously I’m exaggerating but not much. I understand the relaxing and slower vibe of this place, but you still have to make everyone feel like they are equally important or and that their order is important. The barista prioritized that fake interaction tha is all too common in contemporary retail experiences over making everyone’s drinks with expedience which is the real way to connect with customers good food kind interactions served with the most expedience possible, unfortunately that’s simply not the case here.
