This review is from a on-line order. I have ordered from Baileys Seafood for years now & normally I would GIVE 5 STARS but I noticed the food seems to have changed especially with my last few orders. It doesn't have that "homemade" taste anymore especially with the side dishes, they ALWAYS WERE EXCEPTIONAL & taste HOMEMADE 😔 I also miss the choices of sides like the potato salad & onion rings !! We had the fish dinner & the fish and shrimp dinner and even the pieces of fish & shrimp have been more breading than seafood lately.

First time ordering from them. Order was missing my 2 piece cornbread and 1Lb. scallops. The items that I did get were completely covered in the lobster bisque that I ordered because they packed it sideways in the bag. Non refundable $20 tip to my driver for some soggy okra and hushpuppies. Never again. Reply to Mike: I'm just leaving an honest review. Like I said, the bag was tied tight on top and there is no way you would be able to stand the soup upright and also tie the bag. So your employees got lazy. Could have avoided the whole problem by using 2 bags instead of 1. I got my refund from Ubereats minus delivery fees and tip which was over $20. To remedy this I'm not going to order from your restaurant again.

If it was possible to give no stars I would. This restaurant is definitely under new management had I known prior to placing the order I would have chosen a different restaurant. I ordered 2 catfish home style dinners, 1 fried chicken home style dinner and 2 peach cobblers which ran me almost $80. The service was blah the girl thought I was placing an in person order and when I tried to clarify some rude lady came from the back and rudely “ She just got here and doesn’t know.” No type of apology for the confusion, I should’ve left but decided to give it a chance. The fish had no seasonings what’s so ever, the greens were violated with abundance of sugar added and the Mac and cheese was flavorless as well. The rice was advertised as dirty rice but was bland yellow rice. The hush puppies were the only edible thing of the entire meal. Poorly prepared, I’m sure local soup kitchens serve better food than this. People work hard for their money and when you want to treat yourself and family after a long week this is extremely disappointing. Being of Caribbean descent I’m use to flavorful food. This is by far one of the worst meals I’ve had in my life. Being well traveled both in and out of the US I’ve ate better food in poorer 3rd world countries. My boyfriend spoke to a manager yesterday and she had the audacity to say the greens are sweet and spicy. I’ve never heard of such a thing in life. Somethings are best left authentic, you do not experiment with greens!!! The fish was sooooo bland almost like nursing home food. The Mac and cheese was like it was a child cooking. The peach cobbler was soggy as hell. Like it was old and they still wanted to sell it. My boyfriend would not stop complaining about it all night. Even my son was disappointed and most kids eat everything. All 3 meals were discarded. I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. You come in a black community and can’t even stick to the script. Very disappointing. You need to hire people of color with experience in cooking soul food/seafood. Understand your targeted audience which is people of color. It’s possible to succeed with food of this quality in Williamsvile or Hamburg. But on the eastside of Buffalo you will have no success. I wouldn’t serve this to my Yorkie and she will eat anything and everything. It’s rare for me to write a review but this was well deserved!

The food was terrible no seasoning at all and they put sugar in the greens the food was disgusting even the peach cobbler was soogie and nasty they shouldn't be in business do not go there you will be very disappointed

I don’t know what’s going on with their food because, my family got food poisoning we ordered 12-12-2025 and have not stop pooping and throwing up all weekend!!!!! . Do yall wash yall hands? Do y’all follow proper food precautions. Are yall employees clean because it starts at home . I give them a 0 out of 10

i ordered a pound of mussels with a whole catfish and mac and cheese, spent $65 here and absolutely regret it. the catfish and mussels i ordered were egregiously fishy which means RANCID. the mac and cheese had the taste and texture as a .99 cent box, not even Kraft. i eat seafood regularly from mom and pop to chain restaurants and NONE have been nearly as disgusting as it was here. this was a childhood staple and clearly by the reviews the new management is running it into the ground.

Unfortunately, it's a no for me. I wanted to try this place because the original place I order from ( Park Vue on Tennessee) is closed until Thursday. I ordered a haddock fish plate. The fish doesn't taste like haddock, it's not crispy. It's disgusting. The Mac and cheese isn't homemade. It's from the box. The greens are sweet. This place doesn't know how to make soul food at all. Thanks tho

They close down to reopen with less than what they had before. It seems like they're trying to keep up with the Popeyes chicken thing instead of being a real fish market. They used to have over 15 different fish to choose from. No fish with bones. No black bass, no silver bass, no butter fish. I guess I'm going to have to try a different fish market. I should have known something was wrong when I walked in because it's barely anybody in there. I remember when it used to be so crowded you couldn't even see the floor.

Update 2024.. I remember when Bailey Seafood use to have at least 10 to 15 different fish to pick from. They no longer have sliver bass, butter fish and so many more they use to have. This use to be the number 1 place to go to not anymore. /// The original owners were very nice and welcoming. Their children have taken over and you can tell. The customer service is dry and rude. I grew up going here and I'm a little sad that it's not what it use to be. The broccoli was so over cooked is was mushy and so the outside was soggy. The fish was horrible. It's hit or miss.

Today I tried the peach cobbler and banana pudding with fun memories of deserts that we’ve had at home. I would suggest that the banana pudding include more than two slices of bananas and less pudding. I would also suggest that the peach cobbler be made with or use pie crust instead of biscuits. I understand that everyone makes it differently but this was a unique experience.

It’s my fault for not checking my order in the car. But I called and placed and order which I was charged more than what they said over the phone. I said multiple times no meat, no seafood. They packed my food with chicken, over charged me and this is the second time. Hopefully when I go in the morning I can get something done about this, this is the second time they messed up my order
