Opiniones de Sato Buffalo
3 friends out for dinner; we enjoyed our margaritas, one pineapple, one frozen raspberry and one regular. All delicious! Chips and salsa were served, we also ordered queso, also yummy! One of us had fajitas with steak and shrimp, one a quesadillas, and one carnitas tacos. We all enjoyed our food. We would for sure go back! In fact I’m planning to take my husband; he’ll love it! Def go here and enjoy!
Love Aguacates! My friends and I come here frequently for the food, margs, and atmosphere. The service is always amazing. Today is National Margarita Day and our server was Daniel, he was great and kept us well fed and the tequila coming! 20/10 recommend.
Great spot with tasty food, awesome drink menu, daily specials, and friendly, attentive service. Daniel was our server and he was awesome. Our go-to for National Margarita Day and any random girls day. ::
Aguacates Mexican Bar & Grill on Elmwood is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors in Buffalo. The peach margaritas are a standout—refreshing, perfectly sweet, and generously sized, making them the ideal drink to kick off your meal. The burritos are truly delicious, packed with fresh ingredients and bold flavors that leave you wanting more. The atmosphere is vibrant and festive, with friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home. Portion sizes are generous, prices are fair, and complimentary chips and salsa set the tone for a great dining experience. Whether you’re popping in for lunch or a fun night out, Aguacates delivers on both taste and hospitality. Highly recommended!
Daniel was our server and he was super nice and gave us everything we needed:). The food was superrrrr delicious too
We love this location. Food is always on point. Clean and fresh. Our server Daniel made our night out so pleasant.
Great food, good portion sizes and very friendly staff. I'll be back for sure.
Aubrey was amazing she was so fun and made my bday extra fun!
Folks, I mean, where do I start. Aubrey was legendary. A true connoisseur of the serving craft. They say you get the perfect server every 1,000 years in this business as an owner to employ and as a customer to enjoy. To be honest, I think we may have found her here in this local Aguacates. Words may not even begin to describe the professionalism, charisma and down right selflessness she may have for the sport. I am truly honored to say that I have been served by one of the greats. Gretzky comes to mind as I write this. LeBron comes to mind as well. A multitude of greats spin through my mind like a novels carousel who continues to show me everyone who is the best in their respective field as they compare to the one and only Aubrey who slings one hell of a trip chorizo taco plate. (Shoutout the kitchen staff too, obvi.) On a day of such extravagance, i.e. USA hockey winning the gold medal in the 2026 Olympic Games. I cannot help myself but cherish greatness when I see it. And with that ladies and gentlemen, I will leave you with what I believe to be a true and honest description of my experience of Aguacates on elmwood with thee goat Aubrey as my server. I hope you all get to relive the same euphoria as I have in this 10/10 establishment. Go Sabres
Jordan was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made great recommendations, checked in at the perfect times, and made sure everything was just right without ever being intrusive. Her positive attitude really elevated the whole dining experience. We’ll definitely be back and hope to have Jordan as our server again!
Just went there a couple days ago. The food tasted fresh and everything came out hot. The guac and queso were my favorite. The drinks were strong but still tasted good. Service was fast and staff was excellent. I’d definitely go back.
Food came out extremely fast and tasted delicious. Our server Daniel was very friendly and extremely attentive. He was also very cute as well. Would recommend
Aubrey was fabulous! Very friendly and energetic! Answered all questions that my group had! Service was quick, efficient and no mistakes! Will definitely come back to see Aubrey! Ask for her because she's absolutely amazing!
Went to grab dinner with a friend on National Margarita Day + had some really good drinks, music was flowing, food was amazing as always. Our server Jordan was very attentive.
Excellent Saturday night (again) at Aguacates, fun and lively atmosphere. Dany was awesome! Excellent service, friendly, and attentive. Just remember if you want to stretch the experience, order guac and queso first and wait to order mains.
I LOVE this Japanese restaurant! The staff were friendly and helpful and did not wait a second to get us a table. I got the sato ramen (with cooked shrimp and soft egg),the shrimp tempura roll, and the miso caramel donuts. They were amazing! It also has a great ambiance and jazzy music. Highly recommend!
This place is known for it Ramen, so we all had ramen and of course some appetizers and a bottle of Sake. Everything was very good including the california roll. If you are looking for some good Ramen at a decent price $18-$20 I would definite recommend. The portions are pretty large. SO there was no room for desert, lol.
The food was fantastic, the miso tasted home made and they did not skimp on the tofu and the salmon carpaccio was so fresh! For a main I got the gyudon and it is arguably the best I’ve had in the area. The atmosphere was very chill and the music was not loud in any way. Overall one of the best Japanese style restaurants I’ve been to yet.
We order from Sato almost once a week. I'm a pescatarian so my go-to is the veggie ramen. The broth is so good and I love their tofu - it's just the right texture! I've never tried something I didn't like from here and the employees are pretty accommodating and friendly. I would recommend either ordering to-go/delivery or making a reservation. Walk-ins are accepted but it's rare they'll have a seat for you without a long wait.
Looks delicious and it’s a very large for lunch portion. Had to get it reheated because my beans were cold. Overall it was very yummy! The pork is delicious it tastes home made!!
We went there based on a Google review which depicted a lively and vibrant atmosphere. A very festive amd traditional atmosphere That's just what we got! We ordered fajitas and they were delicious. One suggestion is to have four tortillas instead of the usual three. And to maybe have some tortilla chips that have multiple colors rather than the standard and unexciting brown only. Just because everyone else does it that way, doesn't mean that these guys have to too. In all honesty I found the price high for the quality of chicken that was used in the fajitas. They were strips of meat rather than sections of breast It always helps to stand out and be your own place with your own vibe. Just set yourself apart from the rest. I would definitely go back again maybe a little less close to closing time. Even though it wasn't late, before 9 I'm sure, it did feel like we were maybe being surrounded by staff waiting to clean the place up even though it was definitely not very late. As soon as people seated at the bar drinking got up to leave, the staff seemed anxious to clean up and go. And as we all know, that's never comfortable for the client. So hasta la vista.
Great vibe and decor. Place was clean and tables are well placed, you wouldn't feel cramped up. Food waa also great, real tasty. Some of them too tasty like the calamari but the squid inside was soft. I loved their al pastor! Price point was decent for the food and serving size you are getting. Too bad we weren't able to do cocktails that night. I wouldn't mind coming back. Service was efficient, they've been polite, we know we overstayed a bit.
We walked in, party of 3 happy about our friend's birthday. It took the restaurant maybe 5-10 minutes to accommodate us to a table that fit us. They don't take reservations, but you can walk in, provide your phone number and wait to be called. Our server, Jordan seemed ticked off by us throughout the dinner? Her responses and attitude did not match how we felt walking in. We spent $60 on a marg tower and ordered the nachos supreme. After the service was over, Jordan collected our separate checks and I said "I can pay for mine but she is in the bathroom." Referring to my friend. I finish mine, and she goes "Can you just fill out the tip option for her?" I said "Um I'm sorry no? She's in the bathroom" I've never seen that before, she really seemed visibly upset with us when we were just trying to have a good time. By the way all 3 porcelain side plates you gave us had cracks in them. Would you sit down to use the bathroom on a cracked porcelain toilet? Liability waiting to happen
This place was very average ramen restaurant. Our red curry ramen was tasteful, the noodles were also good, but charging $1 for chili paste is kinda weird, most ramen places it's free and on the table. The atmosphere was fine. Biggest issue was one of our Ramens came out cold, like not warm, but cold. They did remake it which was appreciated but it ruined the whole dining experience because one of us had to eat while the other waited. The highlight was the sake flights, and the server was very kind. This place could probably get to four or five stars with some improved kitchen management and a readjustment of some business practices or prices. The cost did not match the quality of the ramen in my opinion.
This was an off experience for me, I wouldn't recommend it. What I did like was the sake flights, great flavors of both traditional and fruited sake. What I didn't like what the ramen. I LOVE ramen and was looking forward to this place, however the Tonkatsu bowl that I ordered arrived cold and the noodles were still clumped together. My husbands bowl was a great temperature. I asked for it to be reheated, this evidently caused frustration in the kitchen that could be heard out in the dining room. It was a Friday night that we went and they were out of a number of things, including Chicken Katsu, ALL red wine, and their "Spicy Bomb" ramen add on. The spicy bomb is where I had issue, unlike all ramen establishments, they did not offer chili oil/paste at the table so this was the add on for it. I bought that add on and added it to my ramen before realizing it was cold. That was their 'last one' so I didn't get it in my new bowl. The table next to me I noticed was offered chili paste for free, I still got charged. I've been to hundreds of restaurants and if I could go back I wish I would have walked around the neighborhood a bit and gone to Wasabi instead (just across the street) for a less "Trendy" restaurant.
The sushi rolls are flavorful and well presented, however, the wait time for the food was more than 1 hour and when I came to pick up at the window, it was a while before any of the 4 people behind the bar there acknowledged me. It was a bit strange as they have signs not to knock but it might be helpful! Overall, I recommend the Teriyaki roll and California roll (added crunches) as they were the best.
Really disappointed with my meal here. I got some takeout sushi last year and it was quite good. Eating in the other day and the sushi was average at best. The rolls were small and had trouble staying together. And the prices! Definitely not worth it. Service was fine.
No hate to the restaurant owners or anything but my experience here was very subpar. The hospitality was respectable but the food was extremely uninspiring. The karage was decent but it was on the bland side and sauce helped slightly. The ramen however I would stay away. It was very bland and the noodle were not properly cooked. The ingredient in the ramen also did not match the theme of the dishes title and not fresh. It was manageable to eat but would not go here again. Don’t let the other positive reviews make it seem like a proper ramen establishment.
I used to go here all the time until today. I spent $50 just for my food to come with fully cooked bugs in it ! I’m so disappointed I will never eat here again
We walked into the SATO restaurant as a regular walk-in party and were immediately told that the wait time would be at least one hour. Since we had no other real options at the moment, we decided to step out and walk around to pass the time. To my surprise, while checking OpenTable, I noticed that the restaurant was showing availability within the next 15 minutes. There was no harm in trying, so we booked the reservation. The real issue began when we returned to the restaurant. We approached the host stand to ask about our original walk-in spot, which we had enqueued nearly 30 minutes earlier. Despite the earlier estimate, we were told again that the wait was still one hour. Nothing had changed. Instead of acknowledging our earlier check-in or offering any clarity, the host seemed dismissive and uninterested in helping. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was the attitude we received. The host’s tone and behavior felt borderline discriminatory, as if we were being intentionally pushed aside. She insisted that no tables were available and that nothing could be done. However, when we calmly mentioned that the next reservation showing up in their system was actually ours, the one we had just booked through OpenTable, Meadow, the same staff, her expression changed immediately. It was clear she didn’t expect us to have a confirmed reservation. I genuinely don’t understand why she choose to deny availability even when the system openly contradicts them. We remained polite, asked reasonable questions, and simply wanted honest communication. Instead, we were met with unnecessary resistance, inconsistency, and an attitude that made the entire experience feel biased and unwelcoming. Overall, it was a pathetic and disappointing display of customer service. A simple acknowledgment, transparency about the waitlist, or even basic courtesy would have gone a long way. Instead, the handling was unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable in a place where we should have been treated fairly and respect.
Sato Ramen may be a “hyped” restaurant, but it certainly doesn’t live up to the reputation. We arrived at 6:00 PM and there were already no tables available, so we were seated at the counter. It took nearly 15 minutes before a server even approached us, and friendliness was definitely not part of the service. The music was loud and completely out of sync with the restaurant’s theme. The dishes took a long time to arrive, and nothing stood out in terms of flavor. The Japanese curry shrimp was extremely spicy—so much so that I couldn’t even finish it. Overall, a very disappointing experience. The food quality, ambiance, and service were all poor, yet the prices were far above what the restaurant delivers. I do not recommend it!
We got the tonkotsu ramen and chicken katsudon. Tonkotsu Ramen: broth tasted like chicken noodle soup. No spice without the spice bomb. Noodles were severely undercooked. Charsu pork was thin and dry. Almost wanted to have it sent back. Chicken Katsudon: waitress did not bring out tonkatsu sauce right away. Without the sauce, the dish was bland. Eggs made the chicken breading super soggy. In contrast to the ramen noodles, the rice was beyond overcooked and mushy. Very disappointed that I spent a combined $50 on these two dishes Just go to Taisho Bistro :/
