Went To California Fish Grill In Los Angeles And OMG I Will Always Go Back . I Had A Shrimp Trio Cooked To Perfection And A Lime Cilantro Kale Slaw That Was Excellent. Another Occasion I Had A Dynamite Shrimp Bowl That Made My Day

If you like Fish Tacos on the go, this place does not disappoint. Not a fan of the rice and beans but understand you go for what they are good for...THE FISH TACOS. Take your time to order one of each and enjoy the one you like best. Side note: I don't drink soda anymore but I do like their options, reason being, they are not sweet!

I'm tired of all the same old delivery food and came across this place on GrubHub. I was a little concerned about ordering fish for delivery but I was not disappointed! I had the Paleo bowl and it was absolutely delicious! Arrived nice and hot. The salmon wasn't all dried out. The veggie mix was amazing and had tons of flavor. I will order from them again!

I came in for lunch and ordered the catfish and fries as well as the mixed vegetables with rosemary. The fish was perfectly done and the fries as well. The vegetables were OK but did not have much flavor at all. The staff was friendly and restaurant very clean and orderly. The prices are very fair.

Alexa was instrumental in helping me figure out what to eat she provides customer service like if she has been a long time friend she goes out of her way to make sure that I feel like her only customer. Service here was fast and the food tasted great.. these individuals have high levels of integrity & professionalism and are a breath of fresh air compared with the many other restaurants. I visited California for the first time, my cousin took me to this restaurant, when I say I didn't have a bad experience, I think I came in this restaurant at least 4 times, the service was great, my food was good and the atmosphere was good as well, the brussel sprouts, I had the shrimp salad and shrimp skewers, I had a few more items, but this place didn't disappoint, when I go back to Cali that'll be my first stop again

We've only been here twice, from out of town. Both of our visits, the food was good. They seem to be pretty popular, as they were busy during both visits.

Food was great but the server just gave my husband the bag said everything was in the bag when we got to our destination there were no utensils not enough sauces and no tartar sauce. The server could have been a little more friendly. But the fish was delicious my favorite was the shrimp. Yes, I would recommend the California Fish Grill.

This was my first time at a fish grill. The location just opened down the street from my work, the service was outstanding for a place that is brand new. The cashier was really nice and helpful while taking my order. Since it was my first time I wasn't sure what to get. I ordered the salmon plate with brown rice and asparagus with a side of dynamite fries. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone because it is a healthy and yummy option for lunch or dinner.

Surprisingly good, healthy food. I loved the Shrimp skewers plate with riced cauliflower and kale slaw. All was seasoned well and delicioys. Portions were nicely sized without being too much. This is going to be a new regular spot for dining. Looking forward to trying more of the fish offerings.

Mahi and Branzino were perfectly prepared! LOVE the miso slaw. Roasted corn was excellent and spicy. The tomatoes with feta were really good too. Bathrooms were spotless and the AC worked great on a 90 degree day. Only slight wish is that when an order is ready to be picked up, that they call the name out louder! We aren't sure how long our order was sitting bc we never heard our name called.

A friend invited me there for lunch. I had the Salmon and Swai plate, and I got to say this was magnificently grilled fish! Some nice grilled zucchini and the BEST cup beans that I've had in quite a while rounded out my sides. Both regular and cajun tartar sauces set off the flavor of the grilled fish perfectly! The food is in plentiful portions and good. It is a "fast" food place, but fish is prepared as ordered so freshly cooked. Had salmon a couple of times, bit over-cooked 1 time. Sides are tasty. Nice lighter dinner option.

Food is good but it gets boring with that dry ole rice on every plate for a side 💯. And yall aint fooling nobody with that mushy white farm fish, promoting it as branzino! 🤨 The fish fry batter gives a nice crunchy crispy texture but it's doing too much. Brussel sprouts are fantastic but too expensive. Average cost ends up being close to 30 dollars if you get a drink and premium side. That's Cheesecake Factory prices, without the Cheesecake factory fullness you get from a meal. Overall, I really enjoy the restaurant. The grilled jumbo shrimp is slapping and so is the grilled salmon, well done. They gotta stop playing games with the rockfish. Is it on the menu or not!? (Question and exclamation point intended). The kaleslaw ain't slawin'. Baybee, it be dry and got zero flavor. I mean, if you wanna just chew like a grazing farm animal, just say that! Recommendations are Grilled jumbo shrimp, Grilled salmon, Brussel sprouts, cajun seasoning, strawberry lemonade or any of the premium juices, all the extra condiments.

I had my heart set on fish and chips and this was the closest place. I was not disappointed. It was a generous portion of fish and fries. Maybe not the best fish I've had but it was good. I added a side of street corn that really ended up being the star of the show (really great, highly recommend). Sides are a little expensive which can affect the value.

Great food and fair prices. A friendly atmosphere. They wear masks for protection and are very cooperative with the customers. No restraint is perfect and neither are they but if you like good food, a comfortable atmosphere and decent prices, they're worth a try. One more thing, if you have a problem dont be afraid to speak up. They're not afraid to listen.

When I asked for my shrimp a certain way (well done) and they just seemed a lil irritated.

The food here has always been consistently good. I usually have the Cajun fish tacos which are my favorite they have the perfect amount of seasoning and the sauce is just spicy enough for my liking and the rest of the fillings compliment each other well. I also had the Parmesan green beans which were pretty good and a good alternative to rice and beans for me. I would have given 5 stars but the service today was a little off and I usually have really good interactions with the employees here. That being said it's not enough for me to stop coming here and give a bad review.

Well this is my second time going to fish grill and this time it was a bad experience. So first of all there was a long line and probably the longest line I ever been in. The workers here are so slow and especially when I was waiting for the food. It took about 40 minutes to get cold fries and cold shrimp! Even though it was cold, it was so delicious. I also ordered beans, but they forgot it. I had to go all the way back to the lady who was handing the food and tell her that they forgot the beans, but good thing it was there all ready prepared. Also I wanted clam chowder but they did not have it. I would recommend to go here earlier in the day.

Preordered a large order. Staff were polite helped me right away. Even with a large order of 10+ meals, no mistakes were made and food was ready by the estimated completion time.

Meal tasted good had big portions, they forgot to put mango juices with combo order. When called promised to refund in3-5 days.

I wanted to go out to eat, had a taste for seafood and wanted to try a place I’ve never been before. The online reviews were favorable so I decided to try CFG. I assumed it was more of a traditional sit down restaurant with a server at your table, but instead you walk up to counter and place the order yourself at a computer screen under the watchful eyes of an associate. I ordered calamari, shrimp skewer, mahi mahi and can of Pepsi. Very reasonable price, under $40, computer asked if I wanted to leave tip, but I did everything lol. Food was good, calamari was a bit over cooked, and not like the traditional calamari I’m used to. Mahi, rice was good. It seemed like most people ordered their food for takeout, few dined in. I was full at end of meal and satisfied. It was ok but seemed more like a place to order your food to go than for a dine-in experience.

Our food yesterday was greasy, the soda fountain Pepsi was out. I asked for a soda from a bottle behind the counter. The manager in bad English told me that it cost more and turned as he walked away leaving me and the order taker staring at each other. I will most likely not go back. Poor management and poor food with bad service I recommend you try another place. Bob's big boy is just a few blocks away and they serve good fish and a fantastic burger.

California fish grill used to be a pleasant and inviting place to go for good seafood however they decided to eliminate pleasant employees that take your order and replace them with self-service kiosks which is an indication of a company going in the wrong direction. When I asked if someone can help me take the order the response was no if you are paying with credit card you have to use the kiosk. I think they shot themselves into foot by doing this.

The lady with the short hair was very dismissive when I was asking for condiments. Another employee came over and asked her if she needed help mind you she was only working on one order at the time and she said no we’re done here. I had to ask the other employee for the condiments she was very helpful and even asked if there was additional sauces I needed or wanted she was very kind.

I tried the battry fish and the fries.. it was too much oil in the fish l have to try to get red of the oil by squeezing the fish in the napkand.. is not healtand.. corporate have to see this.. It looks like that shop is the worth shop in the chain today.i ordered salmon fish ...cam rally dry and no test.. I ate it and talked to the manager..Jennifer. . It looks like she listened to my complaint and she was.curless she gave me the corporate phone number to complain!!!!

Overpriced as always. You have to ask for ketchup, napkins...very small portions. ITS FAST FOOD! LUNCH FOR 2 SHOULD NOT COST OVER $15!!!!

Horrible food at a horrible price. The place was definitely a disappointment. We had the shrimp skewers, fish and chips, chicken strips, and a seared ahi tuna. Everything was way too cooked and not at all tasty. Will not go back or reccomend to anyone.

Last time we ordered online and picked up they forgot to put the shrimp for my wifes shrimp salad in the bag. Next order no sauce for the fish n chips or red sauce for our shrimp. Get all the way home and have to run back to the store.

The food is nice, but customer service is a trash

I usually enjoy California Fish Grill, but I had a disappointing experience during my last visit. While eating my kale salad, I found a small metal wire-like piece that looked very out of place. Concerned, I brought it to the manager’s attention. They told me it was part of the salad packaging and offered to remake my meal. I appreciated the offer, but I didn’t feel comfortable eating there after that and chose to get a refund instead. While the staff was polite and handled the situation professionally, finding something like that in my food was concerning and definitely took away from my trust in the food handling (at least at this location).

I made an order and after 20 minutes, he came back and he said I have to wait 20 minutes for a soup and then he told me I can give you a refund back and then he said he must send an email this very poor customer service

Two of us ordered the 2salmon taco combos one with house salad the other with Caesar salad and a shrimp skewer. At first glance and taste was good, finished it off thought all was good. The tacos was stuffed with fish was blackened, we got back to San Diego, dropped my assistant off at her home and I went to mine, as soon as I walked in my stomach felt like a storm was a brew’n, driving home was the calm Before the perfect storm,I dropped the trousers and held on for dear intestinal perfect storm explosive diarrhea! I looked down into the great abyss which once was a clean and beautiful toilet, let me tell you this was a double toilet perhaps a triple toilet capacity explosion.! Think I found Jimmy Hoffa’s pinky ring! After one double ply role of Costco Toilet Paper and a 1/2 box of Costco Baby Wipes, I got up scrambled to the bed took a nap like I delivered a baby! When I woke, lil Jimmy was tapping my stomach, saying I’m a tapp’n because I needed to take it to the same toilet to Pee! I took the eel out for a walk and before I went ahhh I released what I thought would be gas, oh no it wasn’t gas it was my stomach thought it was growling to get the air out, to find out it was laughing at me and shat the briefs! Sat down and round 2 of the storm that I thought left returned for more turmoil.!25 mins later I was back off the doomed toilet, showered, did a wash when that washer machine cycle was over I ran it again a second time just in case the demon was not gone. Felt like Shat and tired the next day weak as hell. Bottom line fish was bad very bad DINER’s BEWARE!!!They are not handling the food properly or keeping the food above the recommended temperature! Health Dept called today

The food was terrible, the fish was breaded thick and didn’t taste fresh and was very dry, the sauces weren’t good. I was really disappointed

Unprofessional employee ' I called after ordering on Uber eats ' I just wanted to ask for a lemon 🍋 slices ' the order wasn't picked up yet ' they said it already picked up ' it's a shame ' I ordered 25$ food and I can't get couple of lemon slices
