Comida casera,abundante y con representación de platos de la zona( caldo berciano, androlla...) camarero cogiendo comandas especialmente simpático y sitio limpio sin mayores pretensiones estéticas. Relación calidad precio razonable.

Casa de comidas histórica, alejada convenientemente de la carretera de La Coruña, pero a sólo 10min de ella, en Cacabelos. Si huyes de los restaurantes tipo franquicia, y buscas comer bien, sin lujos, a la antigua usanza, con el pote gallego y la cazuela en la mesa, éste es tu sitio. No comerás mejor en muchos otros, aún pagándolo. Sitio recomendado para comerciales, representantes, directivos/as de pequeña empresa, autónomos/as. Cuando uno de los dueños te atiende, se palpa la dificultad de encontrar trabajadores en la hostelería, en los tiempos que corren. Hay que apoyar este tipo de negocios, que requieren dedicación y esfuerzo.

Excellent restaurant in Cacabelos with delicious and varied food. Although the dining room is large, it fills up quickly, so it's best to make a reservation. The daily menu (set menu, coffee, water or wine, and dessert) does not include soft drinks.

Came in with a friend looking for authentic local food, and boy did we enjoy our time here! The owner and waiters are very accommodating, as they sat us down without a reservation and allowed us to enjoy their tasting menu. The service was very good, and the ambiance very elegant. When they brought out the food and wine, we were genuinely amazed by the quality as they tasted absolutely delicious. The salad was fresh, soup was hearty, and the botillo de bierzo (local dish made of braised pork and sausage) were so tender you could cut the meat without a knife! I recommend this restaurant to everyone if you are in the area. Reservations are recommended but it never hurts to call and ask if you’re traveling through as a pilgrim!

This is the third time we’ve stopped here on our way to Coruña from Madrid and every time it has excelled our expectations. The food is delicious, service is outstanding and the price more than fair. It is family friendly and a true gem. Worth the 10 min drive off the A6. I highly recommend it!

Pleasant and friendly staff, beautiful outdoor atmosphere, and spectacular food. Four of us went for lunch on Saturday, recommended by other friends, and we were delighted and eager to return. We ordered four starters and four main courses (recommended by the staff), and the service was super fast. I'd stick with the lentils and lamb, but I loved being able to try everything.

Four friends, fresh from a morning hike, stumbled on this gem in Cacabelos—and wow. The food was full of flavor and large, hearty helpings, with local favorites and some new dishes for us to try from a wide variety. The owner suggested we share everything, so we did, and loved every bite. We left super full and incredibly happy. Tip: take a walk to the river to “bajar la comida” and avoid a “corte de digestión”!

Looking for a restaurant a little off the beaten path before reaching Lugo, we stumbled upon Casa Gato in Cacabelos (León). We had the weekend set menu, which was fantastic; the lentils were spectacular, the meat was delicious, and the cheesecake was truly amazing. The portions were very generous, and the service was excellent. We now have a go-to place for when we return to the area.

An excellent place to enjoy traditional cuisine. The service at Casa Gato is impeccable, with warm and attentive service. The lentils and beans come in a casserole dish, a generous and perfectly prepared portion, bursting with flavor. The botillo was perfectly cooked, and the lamb, tender and juicy, is also a dish not to be missed. Without a doubt, a culinary experience I recommend to anyone passing through the area.

One word: Astonishing! It has everything: Quantity, Quality and good price. They work under a close menu, what ease to have the food delivered really quick on your dishes. The offer traditional food, mostly based in meat options (traditionals were less thinking in veganism and vergetetianism) but also fish options. But if you go there you should try whatever it can be eaten by spoon (lentels, cheakpeas ...) the punch of flavour is hilarious. A must go!! Ah, they accept for sure "walk in" but they will not have an empty spot, please reserve

The place has the atmosphere and food of a traditional eatery, but at an exorbitant price (€33 per person for the weekend set menu). The quality-to-price ratio is completely unacceptable. And it's a shame, because the food—at that price—wouldn't be bad, but at €33 for the set menu, it's rubbish. In short, I don't recommend it. At that price, you can find better quality options in the area (places with much more pleasant atmospheres, higher quality and better-prepared food, and wine that you can actually drink without soda...).

Disgraceful. 33 euros for some awful stewed beans with frozen mussels and clams. The botillo (a type of blood sausage) was disgusting; the meat was freshly stuffed, and the lamb had a very strong antibiotic taste. The wine was a quality cooperative wine called Don Simón. The smell of fried food clinging to your clothes is absolutely nauseating. If you want to be robbed of 66 euros per couple for garbage, this is the place for you. A disgrace.
