I have been coming here for 21 years. Had breakfast again this morning and WOW!!! It has a fresh look. Complete remodel ~ paint, floors, tables, sit down bar.. On to our breakfast The host seated us immediately in a nearly full dining room. Our server greated us and took our drink order in less than 2 minutes. When we placed our order our food arrived hot and fresh withing 10 minutes. My wife had a huge New York style bagel and I had the spinach and mozzarella omelette with home fries and rye toast. The portion was more than ample! It filled the entire 14" plate which I had to box half portion that I couldn't finish. Everything was cooked to perfection. Nearing the end of the meal even the bussers pre bussed within a minute of an empty plate in sight. The food was perfect, but when you get perfect service with a greatly improved ambiance, it makes everything that much better!! Keep up the good work! Pricing ~ you wont find any better deal in the cape. Our total bill with 2 cups of coffee was only $14.71. The server got the change for her tip as well deserved. If you havent been here before, you must put it on your must visit breakfast places in Cape Coral, located on 47th street just east off of Coronado.

Excellent! Great menu variety, efficient and friendly wait staff, and the food was delicious! I got the buffalo chicken salad, very tasty! My husband got the special, turkey dinner. He said it was very good too. We will definitely go back!

For me, I decided to change this up and go somewhere new. Annie’s a good friend’s name. Its tuck away off on a side street from the main road. I was greeted by a number of the staff. Now to the review of this place! If you haven’t gone, you’re missing a rare treat. I personally love French onion soup. I would say its better than Rum Runners and half the price. We had the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries, French onion soup, and Bubba’s Famous banggin onion burger. I’m tough. My experience was delightful. I met the owner. Just a plain guy trying to do his best. It’s a real mom and pop shop with outstanding food. I would gladly go again. Get away from the everyday and try something new. I’m glad I did. Busy Sunday morning and still seated within minutes of arrival. Short stack of Pancakes was anything but. Breakfast tacos went from good to great by grilling the tortilla.

Such a cute little hole-in-the-wall family diner. We enjoyed breakfast for lunch on a Tuesday around noon and there was plenty of seating. Parking is mostly on the street but there was still plenty of room for us and others to park. We were greeted warmly when we walked in, seated immediately in the middle of the dining room at a table. We ordered coffee, coke and some waters. Service was fast and friendly which was awesome. The menu was large with breakfast and lunch options. We chose to enjoy the country fried steak with white toast and home fries as well as the spinach and mozzarella omelet (with added fresh mushrooms) with a warm biscuit and home fries. Everything was delicious! The home fries were thick cut and super crispy. Highly recommend giving them a try.

Definitely a place for the locals and from what I can tell, loved by the locals. Looks like a standard mom and pop type diner but the food was far beyond what I expected. The French toast was absolutely supurb; it didn't need any syrup. My daughter's chocolate chip pancake was also amazing. I'll be trying more dishes from here in the future. Also, I found the menu to be very reasonably priced.

This is a really sweet hole-in-the-wall restaurant that is slightly off the beaten track. I ordered the Piggy omelet which is very close to being a meat lovers omelet, but not quite. The eggs were fluffy and the meat scant. It was over-cooked and lukewarm by the time it reached the table. Being hungry, I didn't complain, but my partner did about her pancakes that were room temperature. Not a problem, I suppose, if all you wanted to do was eat them with your fingers sans butter. As it was, butter would never even soften on those. She sent them back to have them nuked in a microwave. The server, Anthony, was very pleasant and very responsive and apologetic. He offered to have them remade, but my partner settled for the microwave. It was much quieter than I remember it before Ian. The restaurant has departed from being a showcase for the paintings of local artists (pre-Ian) to having historical portrayals on the walls. It gave it a much more professional air. I would go here again, but I would steer clear of omelets and make sure you tell the servers upfront that you need your hot food to be hot.

Have been here a few times for weekend breakfast. Always busy, but the wait is never long. The omelets and scramblers are comparable to Diner fare, portions are large, and well priced. Great bang for the buck.

The food was good. They cooked my food exactly how I ordered it. We didn't have to wait and our food came out fast. Their coffee wasn't the best, but I wasn't expecting gourmet coffee from a diner like this. Parking is also limited as they only have a few dedicated spots. We had to park down the street a bit and walk. Prices were reasonable considering the area, but I am used to it being a little less expensive at similar style restaurants in Ohio. Overall sold four stars and would recommend if you're looking for a little family style diner.

Annie's Restaurant 5-30-24 Stopped by Annie's for lunch today and this place was packed. We got a table fast, and waitress came right over and took our drink orders and gave us menus. She came back a short time later to take our orders. I ordered the club combo sandwich with fries and so did my wife. It did not take too long for our food to come out and boy this sandwich was huge. My mouth was not big enough to take a bite without crushing it down a little bit. This was one large sandwich. It tasted very good and everything on it tasted fresh. The fries were very good as they tasted like they were seasoned. Now you know why all the locals come here. It was all I could do to get the entire sandwich down as I was getting filled up and I still had a couple fries to go. I was too good to leave anything on my plate. My wife could not eat the entire meal, so she got a box to take some along home. We did eat the leftovers the next day and they were still good. I loved this place, it’s very basic but has a great vibe with a lot of locals in there. If you want a fancy place with posh decor this is not the place for you. If you want great food and good conversation at reasonable prices this is the perfect place for you. They do run specials most days, you will just have to call of check on line for that particular day. I will give this place 4 out of 5 stars. Meh. Typical diner fare. The food was OK at best. Not sure what all the hype is about. Had the eggs and biscuits and gravy "Southern Style". As a southerner I can tell you it was not. Biscuits were like hockey pucks and the food had no seasoning. I had to add a ton of salt to make it palatable.

Again I was in the mood for crepes. Being that it was the weekend they don't serve them. Only available during the week. I don't understand why they don't serve them every day. My old job we served them every day. The omelette I ordered. The eggs didn't taste fresh either.

Always a good place for a cheap breakfast, not necessarily the best breakfast around but it won't cost more than 20$ for two people which is rare these days. Before the remodel this place was so cozy and inviting. Now with the more open floor plan it gets so noisy to the point you don't want to talk to the other people at your table because you don't want to yell. Most of the wait staff is gone and replaced with people who dont seem to care about their customers. Not only did our waiter not stop by the table once, he even dropped off the bill with meal, so much for getting another orange juice or chocolate milk. Nothing makes people feel welcomed like rushing them out the door.

Very busy at 10am. Food took awhile and when it came out it was warm to cold. Was told my toast would be out in a minute. Unfortunately, that was not the case and it was cold too. Took quite awhile to get servers attention for more coffee. Just not what it used to be.

Sunday morning breakfast. Not too busy so food came out quickly. Food was good. Service was good. But they charged 3.5% to use a debit card.

Terribly disappointed as I watched groups of 6, 7 and 8 having to wait an hour while smaller groups were immediately seated. Hostess shared that the rule was NOT to move tables together. Once our group was seated, we still waited 30-45 minutes for food as we witnessed smaller groups being served their order much sooner. The restaurant was busy…still no excuse for paying customers being compartmentalized. Food was excellent. Wait staff excellent, as well. I recommend it, however peak business hours will be a challenge for larger groups.

We went for breakfast and waited a good 30 minutes for our food. They weren’t busy. I got an omelette that had onions. The onions were too large, take a bite and all you taste is onion. Kielbasa was greasy. Nothing hot. Hash was the size of a cup. I expected more based on the price. We won’t be back anytime soon.

We came here because of the reviews unfortunately I don't know if anyone who has reviewed this place has ever ate anywhere else. Unfortunately my experience was horrible We had to very basic breakfast options food was unseasoned, low portions bacon tasted like burned nasty grease potatoes were slimy and nasty . They want $4 for a glass of orange juice and or tea. I don't mind spending money but I would at least expect some type of quality . I would never come back here personally not would I waste my time trying it. The staff was very friendly environment is old but ok not a big deal honestly the problem is the food.and the way they charge .up charge to use a card $3.50 For one drunk each and two meals Wich included 4 eggs each two bacon strips and two sausage with hash browns. $68. Insane. You'll be much happier staying home and cooking for yourself

We are Cape Coral residence who finally decided to try this place after all the rave reviews. When we first walked in, we stood in the doorway for five minutes in a nearly empty restaurant waiting to be seated. The hostess just acknowledged us and walked back in the kitchen for a few moments before coming back to the stand chomping on food and saying “ I quote sorry about that”. After being seated, we noticed the menus were dirty, but continued on with picking out what we wanted to eat. Though our waiter was nice he came off as if he was in a constant rush with only 2 tables one had just finished and us. The food unfortunately was a major disappointment. Having been a door dasher and had picked up many orders for Annie’s before I had really been looking forward to trying their home fries, but they were rubbery. My country fried steak had no flavor and was mushy, the gravy on top was broken and had a bunch of pockets of either unmixed flower or cornstarch either way it was bitter powder. I had to scrape the gravy off it was that bad. My eggs were ice cold and toast had started to stale. My husband’s omelette was ice cold and his toast though not burnt was hard as a rock. My husband ordered a side of plain pancakes that were undercooked in the center and clearly a box mix they were $8.50. Throw back in The hostess, who was also busing tables as well as helping bring food out and constantly going back into the kitchen and stuffing her face and touching everything without washing her hands and awkwardly walking in the same circle over and over again through the restaurant, pausing at random times in front of tables almost as if she was listening to the conversations of the patrons. WE WONT BE BACK !! Maybe they used to be good but that was then and the fact of the now is your better of going to the market and buying the ingredients for the foods that you would wanna order from there then actually have them make it for you. And you would not need to be concerned over food safety practices while attempting to enjoy your meal because you wouldn’t be there to witness the lack of cleanliness & safe food practices.

I saw this restaurant had high reviews so I thought it’d be a good place to take my family while they were visiting. It started off nice with the hostess and told 25 minute wait tops. An hour later we’re asking the hostess if she could push two tables together as there was multiple empty 4 top tables, and she said no management would not allow that that and they only have 3 tables that would allow for more than 7 people. At that point, she became hateful and decided to discuss this with other workers and it didn’t seem like it was a pleasant conversation with people pointing at us. Then they started coming over saying it’ll be just a few minutes just a few minutes. We finally get seated and thought Anthony was going to be good. However, we never had our drinks refilled so my husband and my son-in-law never got fresh coffee. My food of French toast and bacon were cold and no one ever checked on us. The disrespect, lack of customer service, and overall bland food, I cannot recommend anyone coming to this restaurant. Very disappointed of wasted time of what should have been an hour and a half tops took us over 2 1/2 hours for a not so great meal.

Food is terrible. Water tastes like dishwater. Orange juice tastes like it came out of a can. Fresh fruit and yogurt was small, most of the fruit was rind, yogurt was full of sugar. Even by Southwest FL standards, the place is awful.

Iv been wanting to try Annie's for months. Finally go one morning w my son . So excited.. I was extremely disappointed w the food. So bland!!! No seasoning at all!! Scrambled eggs w cheese was hard.. bacon just didn't taste right. Grits with cheese had absolutely no taste.. toast was ok. OJ was good. And the hash was disgusting!!! I couldn't add enough salt and pepper or ketchup to even make any of it taste good... Then to get the bill and was $60.. breakfast for 2 people?? Are you kidding me?? And a $3.50 fee for using a debit card to pay... Staff was nice.. restaurant appeared clean.. but I definitely won't be returning.. I'd rather go to Denny's or waffle house or even McDonald's

Very disappointing that this happened. I have no plans to return.
