Very friendly restaurant, good food, intimate restaurant, right price. It is a small restaurant so you have to make a reservation. Try the Gran Reserva red wine. You will not be disappointed.

This is a fabulous little restaurant on the edge of the old town Calpe. The owners are so lovely , food, atmosphere everything is wonderful.

Incredible quality. We selected different options from the set menu and shared the experience between us. Deliciously, tender pork, pink beef and flakey, melt-on-the-tongue fish. Desserts were fab too. We will return! Best to book in advance.

Wonderful setting on the terrace. A truly well organised varied menu with a menu of the day and A la carte available. You are able to mix and match, which is so helpful. Perfect attentive service, and food to die for. All at a very reasonable price. Brilliant place to go for a quiet meal or to celebrate something special. Could not fault the place.

We 4 oldies had the fixed price menu. Nice simple food cooked, REALLY WELL. What's not to like. We left happy and extremely contented. It was great, and we can't wait to come back. My only question is, why can't other places in Calpe and the surrounding area be this good?

Went last night and had a fantastic meal. The service and friendliness was outstanding and the steak melt in the mouth. I booked this a week ago and was so glad I did because even though it was a Wednesday out of season we watched as several people were turned away. I will definitely return and next time try the tapas. Although the a la carte will take some beating.

Absolutely gorgeous meal. Was the best we had on the whole holiday. Very hard to get a table so book if you can! Would highly recommend the meatballs tapas, had it as a starter and the duck as a main was sublime.

Always a beautiful meal here. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our choices. In my opinion the availability of zero tonic is a definite plus. The service is friendly and efficient. Make sure you book as you don't want to miss out.

What a fabulous evening spent at El Posit seeing Ana again looking so well. And Niel’s surpassed his cooking talents once again. El Posit restaurant has only just reopened after well over a year due to the proprietor undergoing extensive treatment for cancer it has been an awful time for the family and brave Ana is now able to return to work. Hence no answers to your telephone calls and no availability to make a reservation. The restaurant has been fully booked since reopening and yes it is difficult to get a reservation but under the circumstances it’s understandable. I think you need to apologise to be honest. El Posit is one of the best restaurants in Calpe.

This is an excellent restaurant run by English husband and Spanish wife. The food is excellent and well presented. More like high quality English. I visit there as often as possible. They have a wonderful balcony as outside seating.

Genuine Honest Review - First time here based on a recommendation. We have a villa in Moraira but decided to have one night away in the Sol Y Mar Spa Hotel. Dropped an email to El Posit and got booked in. Anniversary meal and let them know. Found the restaurant easily and it was already busy. Nice small restaurant and very traditional. Quite plain but also lots of character. From that point on all changed. The food was absolutely magnificent. We got menu of the day for 22.50 with half a bottle of rose. Then mussels and I had goats cheese. Best goats cheese ever. Then pork cheek for me and chicken for wife. The meat was amazing. Honestly just try it. Cheesecake and creme caramel for desert along with an amazing friendly service. They even decorated our deserts with sparklers and happy anniversary. Truly outstanding and an absolute 10/10 experience and meal. My new favourite place in Spain and best meal in years. Just try them... Trust me !

Delicious. They sell tapas and larger meals. We had tapas - crisp calamari, silky chicken liver in Sherry sauce, meatballs and one of those excellent salads they serve all over this region with egg and olives and sugar sweet tomatoes. Service was helpful and swift. We ate a lot and then got more. Desserts good, creme caramel with thick dulce de leche and a fragrant lemon sorbet. Bottle of white rioja was a fabulous accompaniment. Very reasonably priced too.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij Restaurant El Pòsit in Calpé. De bediening was vriendelijk en zorgde ervoor dat we ons meteen welkom voelden. Het restaurant is niet groot, waardoor de sfeer knus en gezellig is — maar daardoor is het wel verstandig om minstens twee maanden op voorhand te reserveren. De prijzen zijn heel redelijk en de kwaliteit is top. Wij komen hier zeker nog eens terug!

Zeer goed gegeten voor een prima prijs. Uitgebreide kaart. Wordt al 18 jaar gerund door een echtpaar. Ze hebben een beperkt aantal tafels, je moet daarom vooraf reserveren, wel een paar dagen vooruit.

Well what a find this was. You have to book but the food is outstanding and the service is as well. Our food was delicious and the price not bad either. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful little restaurant in Calpe that never fails to satisfy. Very small restaurant run by a lovely couple who look after your every culinary need. The menu del dia is excellent food at a good price and the al a carte is also very good. During covid they are very particular on hygiene and as they have reduced capacity I would recommend that you book. We will return again soon.

Sehr schönes kleines Restaurant in der Altstadt von Calpe. Sowohl das Essen als auch der Service sind hervorragend. Unbedingt vorab reservieren, da es drinnen nur wenige Tische gibt. Alternativ gibt es eine kleine Dachterrasse. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

This little restaurant is just fantastic in every way, the lady (assume she is the owner) is so sweet and helpful. Everything is pristine- I have never seen such a well presented toilet! You can tell a lot about a place by their toilet!! Haha!! The Kir Royal aperitif we both had was a generous serving, and the house rose wine was excellent value and tasty. Off The Menu del Dia I had deep fried Camembert, Pork Tenderloin and Tiramisu, It was all beautifully presented and tasted exquisite- my partner had Pork Tenderloin from the main menu; mine was slightly smaller pieces but still more than enough and it was one of the most succulent I have ever tasted- compliments to the chef. The accompanying sauces were divine too, mine was sage and mustard, his was Roquefort- delicious! Great service and excellent value for money. Please note you need to pre-book well in advance as the restaurant is only very small (I would suggest a few months at least) there is also a verandah area for the warmer months which has a nice view of the orange trees in the square. A little gem of a place. Thanks El Posit for a wonderful evening.

A great restaurant with very good food. Small with limited tables so best to phone and book. Even on the wday or night you may just be lucky. Book it as they are full most weekend nights.

En vacances d'hiver à Calp nous avons découvert ce restaurant (fermé dans la journée)en nous promenant dans le vieux Calp. Il faut absolument réserver à l'avance car très peu de tables, ambiance feutrée avec petit fond musical très agréable, décor harmonieux. Nous recommandons sans réserve ce restaurant loin des plages. Monsieur aux fourneaux est anglais, son carré d'agneau sauce au vin et menthe absolument délicieux!! Madame en salle, espagnole, est très agréable et sympathique. Très belle cuisine, supers desserts très généreux que nous avons eu du mal à terminer. Les prix sont raisonnables. Nous reviendrons l'année prochaine.

Read this was the best place for tapas...only in calpe for 4 nights.. Looked online, website said closed on Mondays.. Thought we'd save the visit for our last night ( weds).. walked all the way up there.... It was closed... Oh well maybe next time. Please update your opening days / hours on your website

Responses to those who wish to visit the restaurant are either absent (nobody picks up the telephone calls) or rude in personal communication. It’s strange how there can be such a rating with such a service.

We tried to book a table for the 5th time (starting in the spring of 2022). No success in all the cases. This time it was impossible to do by phone (no answer), so we went to the restaurant. We asked for help with the reservation and were recommended to get back in a month or later (which means never). The strange situation looks like personal unsympathy from their side. Unique case in Calpe, in Spain, and overall. I'm sad about this.

What a beautiful restaurant. So glad we managed to get a booking this year, as tried for two years! The food was the best we've ever had in Calpe and service impeccable. So hope to visit again.
