This is already our third time here. We had an appetizer and pizzoccheri... what can I say? The quality of the cured meats was excellent, considering the local ingredients. The pizzoccheri were made to perfection, a rare find in good restaurants. We were served by the kind and attentive owners, and they even offered us a digestif at the end. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Recommended 👍🏻
A great find in Porlezza. A very well-kept restaurant; we sat on their veranda. Very attentive service and well-prepared dishes; the seafood linguine starter was absolutely delicious! The owners also showed great care for our dogs; they love animals. Excellent value for money.
Very friendly service, the food was fresh and delicious! The house wine was incredibly delicious; I'll definitely be back. Wonderfully quiet location, just a 5-minute walk from Lago di Piano. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.
We visited the "Nuovo Crotto Bottari" this evening, which apparently only reopened a few weeks ago. There were only a few guests after 8:00 PM. The service was very friendly and attentive. We were pleased to see the cloth napkins. The cover charge is €2.50 per person. My wife ordered the Tagliata di manzo con grana e rucola (Battered Beef with Gravy and Rocket) with a side of Patate al forno (Baked Potatoes). She was very happy with the tagliata and the side dish. I ordered "Tsigoiner -- Carne sul Bastone" (Carne on Grilled Vegetables), which I had no idea what to expect. As you can see from the pictures, it was a very nice dish with grilled vegetables, and it was very tasty. We had a good meal, and our expectations were met. The Crotto Bottari doesn't offer a view of the lake, but it's in a quiet location on the edge of the forest. It's definitely worth a visit.
I have been here for a lunch with family during a short trip around lago di Como and Lugano. The ambiance is very nice and warm and the staff is very friendly and nice. That was a fixed menu with 2 choices for primi and secondi; we opted for tagliolini with porcini and roast chicken. Food was very good and service was excellent, no complaints at all 🙂. I was surprised by the bill, only 35 Euros in 3 (daugther had only hamburger), beverages included. I will go also for dinner, I am curious to try more traditional food 🙂. Super recommend!

My partner, I, and our four furry friends went for dinner. The welcome was warm and friendly. The place is quaint, spacious, and well-kept. The hygiene was good. As for the food, it was truly excellent. We tried the platter, a risotto with ossobuco. And polenta and veal tenderloin. And two desserts... water and wine. We spent 60 euros. Great price. I'll definitely be back.

We went last night with a couple of friends and were very pleased: the house antipasto, sciatt, pizzoccheri, and sliced beef were delicious. The fillet with gorgonzola and walnut sauce was excellent: very tender fillet and very good sauce.
Served by a kind and helpful waitress, we had lunch at this restaurant, a bit hidden from the main road but with ample and accessible parking. We ordered a good appetizer and a first course, which we expected to be a little more substantial. The dessert was very good. For two people, an appetizer, two first courses, two waters, and a dessert, we spent a total of €57.50.

I took my mom there for her birthday, and it was a terrible choice... very rude waitress and the food nothing special...
We made a reservation last night, without reading the reviews, as it's under new management... "AVOID!" Burnt steaks, nonexistent service despite the restaurant being empty! The tagliatelle with wild boar ragù was DRY. When we asked for more sauce, they initially told us they needed to defrost it, but then they brought it to us in a bowl. It wasn't good at all. I don't recommend it.
We were the only ones in the restaurant. We left after the appetizer because it was already inedible. We had to take the main course (see photo) with us because it was already finished. Damn it. The worst Italian food experience ever! P.S. All the good reviews are from a long time ago. Read the more recent ones and you'll know the true status of this pitiful excuse for a restaurant.
