David is the absolute goat, he deserves a raise 1000% he’s such a great person with a super positive attitude. Good karma needs to come to him immediately he deserves it. What a great experience interacting with David.
We ordered a large order for our group. Everything was ready when I arrived. They even had plates and napkins ready on standby before I could ask for them. I was greeted when I walked in and they assisted me with getting the order to my car.
Tonight’s order was the best I’ve ever had from Dominoes, and I’ve been ordering pies for 40+ years. Perfect prep, perfect ingredients, perfect proportions, cooked perfectly. I had to get on here and make a review. I hope it helps someone. Whoever is baking tonight- excellent job.
Every time we order from this Domino's our pizza is always hot fresh and loaded down with toppings. Whenever we call to speak with the manager he is always friendly and the drivers are always friendly and on time I recommend this Domino's to everyone
Good Pizza Place, I've Ordered here a lot and everything is always hot, correct, and on time. Overall I do like Domminos for their pan pizza and feta chesse as a topping option. my friends are always happy with Dominos too.
Had a great experience. We were attended to by a jolly fellow who wears a hat with collectable pins on them. This was past 10pm and he had a great attitude and the pizza was delish. So S/O to him and the crew. Things to note, it is foremost a delivery place and there were no places to sit and wait. Service was quick, so all was good.
I just wanted to leave a positive note for the staff at this location. I picked up an order on Thursday night, and they were in the middle of what looked like an extremely large order — another customer said it looked like literally dozens of pizzas for one order — on top of an already busy evening. Several customers (including me) were waiting, and you could tell it was a high-pressure situation. We all agreed the staff was clearly working their butts off and staying organized in the midst of a huge rush. And they never seemed frustrated or short with anyone. Hope management sees this! The team working that night deserves some appreciation — they did an awesome job in a very hectic moment!
Cool shop and restaurant! I heard about all the awards so I stopped in to see what all the fuss was about. Well it lived up to the hype! I really enjoyed the shopping experience. The thoughtfully curated retail area had everything from great cookbooks to specialty food items and some kitchen essentials. I bought them all and gift cards too. I can’t wait to come back for a meal and to enjoy some cheese.
This is a lovely place and a cheese (and butter) lovers nirvana. The Wedgewood team is knowledgeable and helpful. There are so many things to try and they really take the time to explain the cheeses, wines, and menu. Do not sleep on the butter - it is divine. I have an allergy that gets a little complicated and they always kindly steer me to what I can enjoy. Even popping in for a glass of wine and some cheese on weekday feels special. I raved so much about the place my family took me for my birthday and we had a blast. We recently went for an event and it was dynamite. Learned many new things, had amazing food, and got to taste some incredible cheeses I probably would have never approached without their guidance.
We've become repeat customers of Wedgewood and cannot recomend it enough. Wonderful tastings and wine sessions. Special call out to the butter tasting and the grilled cheese speciality night. Stevie and Michelle do a wonderful job!
GREAT food & service. Sat upstairs and had the whipped chevre & fig jam to start. Generous portion for 2 including plenty of bread. Super tasty. Then split the Harwood sandwich which was HUGE and amazing in every way. Loaded with delicious stuff that really worked well together. Served with crispy thin potato chips and cornichons. I've never had focaccia bread that was so fresh and soft. Thank you!
A fantastic addition to the Chapelboro foodscape. They have a great selection of cheeses and accompanying meats, delicious drinks, and a great atmosphere. The staff were super nice and helpful. The salads and sandwiches are huge and delicious. A great place to stop for a drink, snack, or meal.
Absolutely stunning space! Perfectly curated for wine and cheese enthusiasts. The wine director, Maggie, puts a lot of care and attention into promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Ask her for a recommendation on a bottle, she will always steer you in the right direction. I had no idea they have tables in a loft space. Make a reservation because this place will fill up fast!!
This is just the kind of place the piedmont of North Carolina needed. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is knowledgeable, but the food/cheese is the real star of the show. We tried a dish from each section of the menu, and all were worthy of being ordered again. In particular, the trio of butters and the Greek salad (no lettuce - just feta and delicious veggies, including perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes) were fabulous!
Great place! A relative is the chef there, but really no bias here. It's a great place, great cheese selection and very knowledgeable cutter, just wish I had more time to grab a bite. The buzz I heard while there from other patrons was only rave reviews. I'll definitely be back! I spent over 4 years stationed in Germany and traveled throughout Europe extensively, so I think I know good cheese when I taste it, especially in Holland! And here I thought good cheese only came in a can!!
This is less of a cheese bar, and more of a cheese experience. Greeted at the door by an exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic Maggie, we didn't wait too long for seats at the bar. While we were waiting we were checked in on multiple times, including a visit from the owner Steve, who is charming and beyond knowledgeable. Our crew is adventurous so we chose to let the cheese mongers pick our cheeses and they delivered on every cheese. A beautiful selection that covered all flavor profiles, and a few that I had not even heard of (and I'm a cheese fan). The wine selection was well cultivated, and everything in the shop perfectly complemented the selection. The bar service was also fast and friendly, particularly Mattie! Thanks to the entire staff for an amazing evening and perfect wasy to celebrate the beginning of summer!
Excellent service, approachable menu that will please cheese snobs & their not so snobby friends. We thought the price to quality was perfect. Sandwiches are huge - perfect to split with a friend. Loved the $10 corkage on in-house wines by the bottle. We had a beautiful Riesling from the Langhe (Piedmont, Italy) that paired beautifully with our cheese selections. I recommended the place to three friends before our bill came. Grateful to have such a thoughtful, tasty and down to earth option in Carrboro.
My husband and I love visiting The Cheese Shop on a regular basis. The selection is great. Stevie and his staff take the time to walk patrons through the selection while sharing samples of cheeses that will suit the customer's specific taste. We always come home with cheeses that we are very excited about!
Extremely delicious and adorable cheese shop in the heart of Carrboro. Very knowledgeable and insightful about pairings. This is the triangle cheese expert! Look no further than the Cheese Shop NC. FYI: if you’re planning for an event call ahead. Cheeses need to be stored in specific ways. I learned so much and everything was delicious. I hope to come back for an event!
This place is cute. Downstairs is a somewhat noisy bar, with the cheese and wine selections on display. Upstairs is an adorably carved out dining area with a handful of tables and a long high top. We visited for the first time and sat upstairs. Getting served was a challenge. Maybe because we were upstairs? It took a good 10 minutes before we had our server say hello - we were about to leave. We got the 4 cheese board (selected by the cheesemonger.) The cheeses were okay. Nothing to really say “I need to try that again”. The gruyere puffs were pure perfection. I’m glad we went once to try it.
Came for one of the food and wine pairing. I like the concept but it lack a little in the execution. Had to traverse the stairs with plates to try the charcuterie. Most of the dishes and cheeses were good but the cacio e pepe was too salty to eat. I did enjoy being able to purchase both the wine and the cheese we tried.
A cute place for a light-medium meal. I wouldn't say I'm a cheese expert, but I'm certainly not a CASUAL who only knows mozzarella sticks and Baby Bels. The cheese boards are sort of expensive for the amount you get, but to be honest, there's only so much cheese one person can eat. The menu does a good job of describing the different cheeses' characteristics. The Greek salad was well done, with nice quality feta. The Johnny Sunrise sandwich was enjoyable, though I found the bread to be too large and overwhelming. We tried the octopus ; what the menu doesn't mention is that this and a couple of other things are just tins of seafood (albeit nice quality) that they crack open for you and charge $20. So while this was a cute experience, not sure I'd regularly come back here.
This is the 2nd time I've gotten delivery in 3 months. I usually do in store pickup. The same older white man with what looks like leg braces or compression things on his legs came to deliver both times knowing we clicked pay with cash but didnt bring more than $5 with him. The first time we said fine keep it. But the same guy did the same thing AGAIN last night and expected me to let him keep the 15 that was supposed to be my change. He only had $6. Because of this i wont get delivery ever again. This is clearly a move he is doing on purpose in hopes that the customer will just let him keep it. On the website it says drivers carry no more than $20 on them. He should have $20 on him. Especially when doing a pizza delivery job. I mean why wouldn't he. He is being very deceptive and I dont like it. This needs to be addressed.
The food is fine. The issue is with delivery. I've been ordering from them for years, from several different addresses. Specifically in apartments, when they struggle to find the right apartment, they will simply leave it at the wrong one instead of searching or calling the customer. Just in the past 2 years, this has happened to me 6 times that I can recall. I've recently started picking up in person more often to avoid this, however, this is not always possible with a newborn at home. I hate to be the one complaining, but they need to rethink delivery procedures.
As a cheese lover , I was really excited to pick my cheeses from the front and eat them, but turns out that's not the case, you can select only from a list of one per type They do offer samples and you can buy some to take home , just not eat there My biggest pet peeve was the seating , reservations doesn't make it clear, but high top is a whole section upstairs where you can't see any of the action. The chairs need to higher or counter lower, because you r kinda facing a wall. The salad was just ok ,and took a very long time to come out. Didn't love the red wine choices but they were very kind to me and let us order a few different samples Lemon curd was a pot with crumbled cookie, not a cookie base as I hoped
Placed an order 3 hours ago through the app with a scheduled delivery time (was buying lunch for my team at work). 30 minutes past delivery time, 15 minute hold time. Pizza never came and had to cancel the order. Really disappointed. I have such good experiences with the location up the road over by Harris Teeter
Waited over 2.5 hours for my pizza, called many times with no connection to an actual person. I am only a 7 minute drive. Still waiting, so could be even longer. Don’t order delivery if you don’t want to wait hours!
As you can see in the pictures I’ve posted, my pizza came with almost no tomato sauce. I ordered a pizza with light cheese and beef/black olives as the topping & regular amount of tomato sauce. Instead, my pizza came just as bread with toppings although there is a tiny amount of tomato sauce on there. I called in to complain and the man I spoke to was very rude and told me I was wrong and he was sure he put a regular amount of tomato sauce on it. He then very rudely offered to send me a pizza but said “it would look the exact same because there is already tomato sauce on your pizza, I cut it myself”. He then proceeded to hang up on me. I’m a student so I’m sure I’ve ordered over $500-$700 worth of pizza from this dominos over the past year and a half, but after this incident, i will not be ordering from them again. I’ve also included a picture of what a normal amount of tomato sauce is, since I’ve ordered dominos (w light cheese) multiple times. There is a clear difference between the two. But to be frank, it is not the fact that dominos messed up my order that has gotten me so upset, it is the poor customer service and the accusatory tone that pushed me to write this poor review.
Ordered delivery, and after an hour of waiting the driver dropped off the wrong order. I’m not sure how this mistake could have happened as there was a receipt on the box, clearly listed with an address that was not mine. I spent another hour after this trying to get in contact with a real person, but I was sent through the loop of bot calls. My friend then ordered another pizza to try and remedy the situation, to which it never even arrived. Please remove the AI immediately, it is doing immense harm to this location’s reputation.
I ordered delivery from this Domino’s on Saturday and never received my food. Despite calling multiple times to inquire about my order, no actual human employee ever picked up - I was on hold for almost an hour and only got AI automated responses. I also emailed the two managers listed in the replies on reviews here and have neither received a response nor gotten my money back. I am super disappointed by this experience and the lack of customer service I received. I used to love this Domino’s, but from my experience and other recent reviews in this thread, it has clearly gone downhill.
Don't order from here. They skimp on toppings. Food is generally subpar, even for Domino's. Time before last the driver actually told me not to hold it against them if the food is bad because they're busy. Tonight, I'm sitting here at 2:07 AM waiting on an order I placed 2 hours ago. It's finally supposedly on its way, but I just got a call from the store but no one said anything. Would call back but it's impossible to get someone. Ordering from here is a mistake. Always a headache. Update: Got my food finally. Ice cold. Almost 3 hours late. Never ordering Domino's again.
Been coming here for years and I’ve gotten uncooked food for them several times! Yesterday my father bought some food and the garlic knots wasn’t cooked fully through. My child ended up throwing up all night due to the uncooked food served at this location. The next time this happens I will be calling corporate and I will post the uncooked food on the review. Please stop being lazy and make sure it’s fully cooked through before serving!
your food will leave the restaurant for delivery and not get to you for 30-45 minutes, even if you live less than eight minutes away. The tracker either doesn’t work or gives you an inaccurate ETA so you’re just outside waiting for food that won’t get there for at least half an hour. Has happened to me twice in two weeks and when you try to call them a robot answering service picks up and you can’t get in contact with a a human, no matter how many times you ask for one.
I placed an order almost an hour ago, i still don’t have my food, the tracker shows my food has been sitting out for 40 minutes now and they still haven’t left to bring my food. I’m starving, aggravated i placed this order an hour ago!!! Never again
Delivery order cancelled by the store 30 minutes after it was due to be delivered and an hour after it came out of the oven. Tried calling the store but only get a recording that the order was cancelled with no explanation. If unable to deliver, I could have come to pick up rather than leaving me scrambling.
Today was the first time I ordered from here and I am extremely disappointed because first of all, the order arrived almost 2 hours after placing it. I called the store to cancel and no one picked up. It's ridiculous I would like a refund.
Ir's rare when I give one star reviews but this experience/interaction certainly earned it. I had seen pictures of Wedgewood Cheese Bar and it looked pretty interesting. Took a while to find some parking but hoofed it over. I asked the man working the bar if I could just grab a glass of wine, I had eaten earlier and wanted to check out the space and see what they were doing. He says yes, so I grab a seat at the bar. He pours me a glass of water but there's no wine menu. I track one down on the other side of the bar and I'm ready to order some vino. He proceeds to ignore me for nearly 10 minutes. There's 5 other people at the bar and nowhere to hide. Proceeds to service other orders including a couple sitting next to me (who came in after my arrival) and continues to ignore me, avoiding eye contact. I give him another minute and walk out. Terrible behavior given that I specifically asked if I could just grab a glass of wine to check out the place. I've written close to 2,000 reviews online and on my blog over the past 20 years. I have walked out of a handful of places due to poor service but certainly not ever been seated and ignored. This was one of the most egregious examples of poor hospitality and attitude I've experienced in the Triangle. And anyone knows me, I'm typically very supportive and positive for new businesses in the Triangle. Big tipper and easy customer. I've been told by friends I need to be more demanding. So Wedgewood, you earned this review, you need to do some serious retraining of your FoH, especially as a new business.
