Ottima cucina piemontese in ambiente tradizionale. Curiosi i cimeli musicali (vecchie radio e giradischi) sparsi per il locale.
We needed to do some shopping in the area and made a reservation at this little restaurant... which was a pleasant surprise. The welcome and service were excellent, courteous and fast, and the food was all top-notch. You can taste the love and passion for the food... so much care... fair and honest prices! If we're in the area again, we'll be back!
A restaurant worth trying...! Those who choose to try it run the risk of becoming loyal customers! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff always kind and attentive. The cuisine is captivating with its simplicity: few frills, but plenty of substance. Flavors are enhanced with expertise and skill, thanks also to the excellent quality of the ingredients. And for those who want it, on Sunday evenings there's a truly convincing merenda sinoira!
I just had lunch, seasonal à la carte menu. I sampled two appetizers: pumpkin flan with gorgonzola fondue and breaded mushrooms. Of the two, the flan was fabulous (with a few toasted hazelnuts, it would have been divine). I also sampled two first courses: roast agnolotti and nettle ravioli. Both were phenomenal, but the nettle ravioli were superb. For the second course, the wild boar morsels were delicious, and the meat was just right. To finish, I ordered the torronata, which was also excellent.
A trattoria nestled in the Monferrato hills, frequented by locals on a Monday lunchtime (which means it's good!). A simple, unpretentious yet well-kept restaurant with a homey feel, featuring lots of vintage items (telephones, televisions, etc.). Excellent traditional food, the woman who served us was very kind and helpful, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. Kudos to the owners!
A place you didn't expect, a little neglected on the outside, but the welcome and kindness of the staff align with the beautiful interior environment, well-kept and furnished with great taste! Ah yes, it's a restaurant... well the dishes are a real spectacle and the prices are adequate (even low) compared to the menu on offer! Worth coming back even just for the desserts... believe me! Happy tasting!
A charming place, with extremely kind and friendly staff. Parking is in front of the entrance, in a small square with plenty of space. The food was all excellent. We were there for a wedding and couldn't fault anything! Perfectly cooked, just the right amount, and delicious too! For wine, we opted for bottled Chardonnay (sorry, but the red wine by the glass is undrinkable). Overall, we already plan on returning!
Excellent little restaurant, neither too rustic nor too formal. It's quietly located in a small country village. There's internal parking, and if it's full, there's a convenient and large public parking lot across the street. The restaurant is quite large and simply furnished, but it also has an area filled with vintage items and a charming collection of corkscrews. The atmosphere is relaxing, with soft background music from an old 1950s radio. The menu is limited, which is a good thing because it allows them to maintain the excellent quality of the ingredients. It offers traditional Piedmontese dishes, carefully presented and prepared, as well as a wide selection of excellent wines. I found everything I ate and drank delicious: the mixed antipasto with a good variety and quantity, and the risotto with morels. They also offer a tasting menu that includes an appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The prices are excellent. Highly recommended!
A truly pleasant place to visit for dinner. Very welcoming, with rustic decor and a well-lit, warm atmosphere in the winter. Clean, friendly service, and simple yet exquisite food. The gelato for dessert is reminiscent of artisanal gelato, and the meats are excellent: tender, well-cooked, and flavorful. The menu offers a good selection and excellent wines. The dishes are quite generous and can be modified (unless you have absurd expectations) upon request. When 11 of us arrived instead of 10, they found me a seat without any problems, demonstrating courtesy and helpfulness. The waiters are friendly and know their job. I'll be back.
Simple place, very friendly staff, good quality food. You can choose from a menu for €30 or the à la carte menu, and dinner in the evening starts at €18. I had a trio of appetizers for €10, a first course for €8, and a dessert menu with a sampling of three desserts for €6. The brown bread they brought us was also really good. If you want Piedmontese food, come and try it.
Homey atmosphere, high quality, regional food. Place to visit if you’re in the area
Typical local dishes in a picturesque settings
Authentic Piemontese food for a very affordable price!
Okay food.
The restaurant is decorated in a vintage style. The table setting is very beautiful and well-presented, even including a dessert fork. Service is average. The appetizers were good, although there wasn't much jam. The first courses were very interesting; it's a shame the ravioli didn't taste very good. The tiramisu cheesecake was good. The appetizers were a bit pricey, but the first courses were more than reasonable. A very positive note: we didn't pay a cover charge.
The food was mediocre; I expected something better in the heart of Monferrato. Not to mention the management. At a 70th birthday party, I had to get up and call off a table of 25 drunk men, one of whom was shirtless. The staff was impassive. I'll leave it up to you to decide.
We had a lunch to celebrate my mother-in-law's 70th birthday. There were three or four tables of families like us in the dining room, and then a table of about twenty young people who shouted, drank, and disturbed everyone, much to the total indifference of the hosts!!! At this point, the food took a back seat because we couldn't wait to leave the place as quickly as possible. Bad hosts, you should keep an eye on your guests out of respect for everyone!!!
