. We have been there for a family dinner. The food was fantastic, but not less was the service and the hospitality of Manuela and the staff.

Contrada è un ottimo ristorante. Il cibo è assolutamente di prima qualità ed il servizio è inappuntabile. Il luogo è da sogno e c’è persino un voiturier. Consigliatissimo.

Fabulous meal. Courses were all delicious and often surprising / not the usual ‘classic tasting menu’ boredom. Main of duck with Tuscan rice was a standout. Meal overall was fun and not too long or overbearing. Charismatic manager / Sommelier Manuela superb in helping us enjoy our wines. Rest of the service was charming. Please go and support them.

Our recent experience at this Michelin-starred establishment was, regrettably underwhelming. The service, though well-meaning, was handled by a team of noticeably young and inexperienced staff. Despite their earnest efforts, there appeared to be a lack of cohesion and understanding of the basics, including accurately matching dishes to the appropriate diners. The beetroot pasta, for example, whilst inventive in concept, was visually unappealing and lacked flavor, much the same as the other dishes sampled. The only bright spot of the evening was Manuela, the manager, whose warmth and friendly demeanor stood out amidst an otherwise disappointing experience. Whilst the promise of excellence lingered, the execution fell considerably short of expectations, leaving us disappointed and yearning for the refinement one associates with a one Michelin star accolade.
