Enjoyed lunch with friends on friday. There is adequate parking in the area and the restaurant was not very busy at 11:30. You order at the counter from the menu, pay, and they give you a table number and deliver your food to you when it is prepared. I enjoyed the soup and salad with a Caesar salad and Italian wedding soup. My friend enjoyed a half Panini and salad. Both were the luncheon special. Others had whole panini sandwiches and a small margarita pizza. Everyone enjoyed their food and the large sandwiches are a generous portion! They also offer a full range of adult beverages, and delicious gelato and baked goods for your sweet tooth. They have both indoor and out of doors dining, and a lovely playscape for smaller children. Overall, we all enjoyed our food and the reasonable prices.

Took my family here for my sister’s birthday and it was amazing! Great food and great staff. The manager was awesome and all of the food was PHENOMENAL!

Don't get to visit this place much, but it consistently delivers great food, great service and a play area for the kiddos. Highly recommend if you're tired of the mediocre food at Olive garden. 🤙

Great HH with nice selection of wines and discounted pizza & appetizers. Our favorite bartender, Obet provided the best service!!! He’s recently been promoted to management and i can’t imagine anyone better for that position!!! The food is great! LOVE their bread!! I regularly order the spaghetti with meatballs and the pizza. The very best is the shrimp scampi (Friday special) and the Monday chicken special!! Congratulations Obet!!

How does this place only have 4.4 stars? Some people find anything to complain about. This was an amazing experience for our family. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food was so reasonably priced for the quality and portions. All 3 courses were delicious and the kiddos had a blast playing on outdoor playground after dinner. Special shout out to Bert. The place was absolutely hopping (clearly popular) and he made it his personal mission to make us feel welcome and appreciated. We would come back anyway but we will especially make it a point to come back because of him.

Had lunch at Mandola's on Parmer Lane today. The food and the service were excellent. We were a large group (10+) and the manager brought us an assortment of delicious cakes! We had a great time! I will be back.

Such a cute place to escape with the kids. Or a local date night option. Lunch with your friends. All my boxes have been checked. A playground, pizza, pasta, Gelato, and wine. Obsessed with the zucchini chips appetizer.

Had the Saturday special (blanking on the name but it was great). Mentioned that it was my first time and had a free dessert offered as well. Good beer selection Great place and great staff. Can't wait to come back.

My friends and I tried Mandolas for the fun of it. We were surprised that we didn’t get seated. Your order at the counter and then find your own seat. Nice! The food was delicious. I got the ricotta and fried mozzarella. Both were sumptuous. The mozzarella is made daily. There are specials every day. I highly recommend this place.

We love Mandola’s!!! But tonight we had an extra big party and the manager Mr Mason and a couple other staff guys helped us SO MUCH! They were so busy on a Friday night, but he was so kind and patient with us, really went above and beyond! Thank you so much! Made our night so fun!/ helped us all sit together and got a lighter for our cake candles! Also - their bakery chocolate fudge cake was delicious!

Fantastic fettuccine Alfredo very creamy rich and buttery. The complimentary bread and oil is good. At the dessert bar they had cute frog sugar cookies. Next time we come into town this is our go-to Italian restaurant.

Haven’t had their anything else so take this with a grain of salt, but I enjoyed their margarita pizza! It was thin, crispy, and wasn’t extremely oily. Tasted great on its own, but tasted better when i added a drizzle of EVOO (specifically Partanna).

Fantastic Italian themed food.! Quite an interesting place with a kids play area and a side "quieter" room. I had the mandolas hero "pannini and it was great. mom had a salad with shrimp and loved it too. Fresh bread w olive oil and spices was offered like chips and salsa at a Tex kex joint, it was very tasty too.! Definitely will be back !

Great meatballs I wasn't aware before walking in that they do counter service. You order at the register and they give you a number to bring to your table. The food came out quickly and they have bussers coming around often to grab dirty dishes.

This is one of the tastiest menus in this area. Guaranteed value for money, with a great happy hour. The complimentary bread is simply amazing, and I could easily gorge myself on it. Calamari starters were excellent, with them not covered in batter. The meatballs melted in my mouth, and you can really taste the sauce. Great service, a place to really enjoy.

My son's favorite! Nothing cuter than a playscape, pizza and drinks. He loves playing around, eating a pizza and then getting gelato. We love their spresso

No one in my group wanted to cook for Thanksgiving. We ordered the family lasagne and the family chicken Parmesan. The lasagne comes with reheating instructions but the parm. Is not usually reheated. The cooks were extremely helpful with advice on how to reheat the chicken so it is not soggy and/or the breading crust does not fall off. We follow their directions and everything came out perfectly. We added a pot of green beans and it served 10 adults and six children with lovely leftovers.

I come here probably once every 2 weeks. Really love the authentic italian food here. The eggplant is incredibly flavorful and the fresh pasta tastes incredible. Would highly recommend for a great date night. Service here has really improved, especially since Mason, the new manager, has taken over. Great experience here lately. Highly recommend!

Mandola's Italian Kitchen has a great variety of options on the menu, with pizza, pasta, and salads all being good choices. The wait time can be long, especially on weekends, so go early or during off-peak hours.

I love this place! Between the playground for kiddos and the great food, you can't beat Mandola's. The staff are friendly and efficient and very helpful, especially when it comes to birthday parties! Their cake is to *die* for.

Great food and a pretty diverse menu for a walk up and order restaurant. Decent dedicated bar area with nice wine selection. A little confusing when you walk in the front door there's what looks like a hostess stand with menus. We stood there for about five minutes before we realized you're supposed to walk over to the back part of the restaurant, order, get a number and then go sit down at a table. Will definitely go back as portions were large and fair priced. Great desert with gelato section and a slice of cheesecake with less than five bucks!

I don’t write a whole bunch of reviews but had to about this restaurant! Everything about this restaurant is top-shelf! The staff is courteous, fast, and friendly. The food is delicious! They really cater to families with good menu options, quick professional service, and a play area for kids to be… well, kids 😃 You won’t want to go anywhere else! Bravo!

Always good. Order adult beverages at the bar. Go find your own table, after ordering food; you don't have a typical "server" as this establishment has a fast food vibe. The staff will bring out fresh warm ciabatta bread with olive oil dipping dish. As a free appetizer. I recommend the garlic fries as well. Pizzas are incredible. Bolognese is wonderful. I lived in Naples for 10 years growing up. I love this place. Fun, easy and there is a playground for you kiddos! -Oh! Kids meals come with drink and gelato! 🍦

Great restaurant with exceptional service. Menu options are incredible with delicious bread and olive oil and roasted garlic. The play area adjacent to the patio offered a great place for our granddaughter to unwind after dinner. Plenty of space and delicious dessert options as well.

Best family restaurant we've been to. Nice play area outside. Delicious foccacia starter bread with olive oil dip. Luxury baby changing table with diapers and wipes! Free gelato with the kids meal. I enjoyed the chicken Parm but not the lasagna as much. Overall Nice job mandolas!

Mandola’s Italian Kitchen for our wedding was absolutely amazing! They handled our cocktail hour, dinner service, and cake, and everything was perfect. The food was incredible—our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! We highly recommend their brick oven pizza and gelato—both were huge hits! The team was professional, efficient, and made sure everything ran smoothly. If you're looking for delicious Italian food with top-notch service for your event, Mandola’s is the way to go!

This is a great place for dinner and fun with friends and family. You order at the register and they will deliver your food to the table. My kids loved the pizza, Gelato, and playground so much. They take enjoyed the experience. I'm vegan so I wasn't sure what to order. There was a little mix-up about the eggplant parm but the Manager Mason came through and helped make it right. He swapped it out for fresh veggies (from their garden) and angel hair pasta tossed with a light marinara and oil. It was so delicious. The huge cooling fan on the patio was so helpful when watching the kids play. We will be back!

We came here from out of town, when we walked in the waiter explained how to order and was very friendly. Me and my spouse got the special of the day which was a chicken capricciosa, AMAZING! That was one of the best Italian dishes I’ve ever had. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the fountain and while we were eating the waiter thanked us for coming in to try their restaurant and brought us some samples from their bakery! I would definitely come back here!

T

A good spot, and not too expensive. There's a play place out back for kids, and a nice bar inside for adults. Definitely a family restaurant. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Food was quite good, and we were able to feed a party of 6 for about $100, with some leftovers. The method of ordering is interesting, in that it's similar to dine-in fast food. You go up to the counter and order, and they give you a number and you seat yourself, then someone brings the food to you. Additionally, they had some funny shirts for sale, with Italian-themed jokes on them. I'll definitely be coming back.

Great Italian food. The place is setup fastfood style where you grab a table and order at the counter, but the ambiance is nice and lively, with an outdoor patio and play area for kids. Service was great, and everything was delicious including the appetizers

Mandola's on Guadalupe was a mainstay years ago, but after moving NW to Leander, we never got back to the Guadalupe location ... we tried the Cedar Park location this weekend prior to an event at the HEB Center (12 minute ride). Some things never change... and that is a compliment! The Cedar Park location is everything the Guadalupe location is and more... great outside area for families, lots of running around, jumping and climbing things for the kids to do. We had the grandkids along today, so more ordering than the usual "plus 1." LOL The boring, carb counting adults had the large misto salad with chicken, and the kids had the margarita pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. We tasted them all, so the street cred is there to do this review! Everything was awesome! The misto salads were fresh, crisp, and cold... everything in the salad was chilled, and the light vinaigrette was tasty and healthy. The chicken that adorned the salads was plentiful, grilled perfectly, soft and moist! The pizza and the spaghetti and meatballs were equally good. The pizza dough was thin, crisp, with that bit a chewiness that comes with Neapolitan-style pizza done right. The meatballs were big, juicy but firm, quality meat, and the marinara sauce was on point. The pasta was an absolutely divine al dente. Mandola's is exactly what it is meant to be... not gourmet Italian food. Great food, laid back, family friendly environment, good for lunch or dinner (or happy hour!). The 5-star quality of Mandola's has persisted for years, and they continue to produce quality food in a fun environment. Highly recommend Mandola's Italian Kitchen!

Been going to Mandolas for years. Me and my daughter's love the food, Service and environment. Tonight we ordered and everyone got their food except me. I brought it to manager Mason attention. He had my food right out and it was hot and fresh and even offered a discount. We've never had an issue there but the one time we do Mandolas went above and beyond to make it right. Highly recommend this place.

The food is great and varied, but the best part is the service. This place truly caters to families and they’ll do whatever is in their power to make your experience comfortable and easy. Kudos to such a well-trained team. Also, my toddler and his friends love the playground and green space.

The food was delicious but the CUSTOMER SERVICE was even better!! From coming in to walking out everyone was so nice. We had 3 different ppl check on us. The gentleman who took my order was so patient with me even though I was very indecisive because the menu didn’t have pictures. Someone who looked like the manager even came out and brought complimentary sorbet for me and my daughter at the end. Would definitely comeback. I also enjoyed the complimentary table bread and respectable portions that were not too big to where I didn’t felt like I was wasting food but also enough to fill me up on a day where I didn’t eat breakfast.

Mandola’s Italian Kitchen is a gem for anyone craving a warm, inviting Italian dining experience. The food was flavorful, hearty, and clearly made with care. The pizza smelled a lil weird but tasted really good and pasta looked spectacular as well, while most dishes shine, there’s just enough room for a bit more refinement What really elevates the experience is the service. The staff is attentive, welcoming, and goes out of their way to make you feel like family, something that adds a lot to any meal. The atmosphere is another standout. The cozy yet vibrant setting strikes the perfect balance between casual and classy. And I also loved all the Italian football badge flags that were cool, saw some like Roma, Internazionale, Torino, Juventus, AC Milan, etc. Whether you're out for a quick bite or a longer dinner with friends or family, it feels just right. In short, Mandola’s combines great food with exceptional hospitality and ambiance, definitely worth a visit.

We came here for the first time, today, December 28th and had dinner. The man that greeted us at the front and explained the food ordering process was very friendly and informative. The place was very busy and we got our food surprisingly fast. The food and service was very good. My dish was the Cannelloni Fiorentina and while the menu says chicken, they either forgot to add the chicken or there were just small particles of chicken. The wine selection was very good as was the dessert choices. The young lady behind the dessert count was very friendly and helpful. I am sure we will be back repeatedly.

Sausage and Pepper Sandwich with Provolone was delicious. Really good fries for an Italian restaurant. If you don't want the carbs, try the Sausage and Pepper Appetizer. If you are there for late lunch/early dinner, there are tables available without a wait.

I absolutely love this restaurant's location. It is easy to find and easy to park at! Super foooood. Hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend spaghetti and meatballs or try their Chicken Parmesan! Feel like you want something traditional? Try their pizza! Sooo very good. A place to stop. My favorite thing to do is get a main entree, salad and top it off with an appetizer!! Don't forget their hot freshly made bread and olive oil, basil pesto dipping sauce! So good! Easy to eat out on a budget, or even get plates to share and add a side! Definitely worth the time to stop by this Italian restaurant! Update, second trip and yum! Shrimp alfredo, chicken parmesan, lasagna with meatballs, bread and even yummy gelato were all had on this evening. Evening. Just absolutely a great second visit to this location! I hope you'll stop in to Mandola's! Certainly is worth your time. Hot, fresh and homemade. You got to love it!

Went on a very busy Saturday night for a date, luckily we got seats at the bar. The special (Brasato) was delicious, very tender and flavorful on mashed potatoes. Had the Wedding soup and Caesar salad as well as the lemon + mint chocolate chip gelato for dessert, all very good. Our drinks were the frozen Peach Bellini, which was sweet and refreshing. Fabulous service from the bartender and host (who seemed to be everywhere helping everyone, making sure every guest felt welcome and helped asap!). Food came out quickly and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back, with our kids next time!

We got in line to order just a little before 6:00 and by the time we were placing our order it was about 2 minutes after 6 :00 and we were cut out of the happy hour because they said it was on the computer and it automatically changed. I ordered a gluten-free veggie dish and it was not delicious. The pasta was heavy and the vegetables were mushy. I could only eat about three or four bites of it.

We were recommended by Google Maps to dine here and experienced authentic Italian cuisine with a cafe-style ambiance. The food was cooked to perfection and had rich flavors. Manager Obet was very attentive and ensured that all guests had an enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend the scampi (Friday's special) and chicken parmesian. The homemade gelato was also delicious. I hope they expand their business to more locations in Houston.

We arrived, ordered, and ate within one hour probably! As I was picking up my table the staff came by to help me clean up and as I was packaging my bread (we had eaten part of it) and another staff member told me he was going to get me some new bread! They were so kind fast and efficient, and they also have a large playscape for families. Definitely coming back!

This is the perfect place if you’re wanting here to get away from your kids or just here with your family or here alone or as a kid here just to play in the playground because it’s free we’re here to just get an ice cream because it’s a hot summer day and you really just wanna have something cool and the flavors. They are really really good. You do not get served by a server you have to order and then you will get your order served to you, but you will not take your orders from my waitress or waiter. There is a bar that has free water in case they’re thirsty plenty enough of indoor seating spots, and ice cream bar and outdoor seating with a playground with turf. This is right beside a neighborhood, which is very convenient for all of those folks that live in that neighborhood including me. It’s right off that main street and just the vibe of it is really nice. It’s just so good. I love it.

My wife and I were first time visitors today. Unknown to wait staff, we had just left a stressful day with medical folks. We were treated like Mandola family members during our EXCELLENT meal. Several employees came by to check on our dining experience. We were even treated to our own selection of free cookies on our departure. My wife had tears of gratitude as we were leaving. They didn’t know who we were or about our challenging day. WOW!!!!

I love the ziti, but I come back for the people. From the managers who are always attentive and helpful, to the incredibly helpful staff, I love it here. My wife and I come at least weekly and I couldn’t be happier with every dish and item I’ve tried on the menu. An authentic Italian taste with a gorgeous patio to boot. This will be my Italian food spot as long as it’s here!

When you walk in, it’s confusing. It’s fast food Italian with a sit-down feel. You order from the cashier and the staff helps you find a table but when you first walk in, your eyes bounce around trying to find where to start. Line up, get a number from a waiter, order, then, be seated where you are directed. Food came fast, warm and tasty. Mason, the manager, noticed our confusion and observed we were first-timers. He pointed us in the right direction and explained the concept; he made us feel welcome. Chocolate, caramel salted cake from the bakery was delicious. Focaccia bread and garlic bread was heavenly. The gelato staff behind the counter may have been tired or bored, so we’re giving them a pass, but every other staff member contributed to an excellent experience. The outdoor play area for the kids was a bonus. We’ll be back.

Rebekah Thomson

This is probably the most family friendly restaurant I’ve been to, probably even accounting for fast food chains. There’s a fenced in playground right next to dining tables outside, the bathroom changing stations are the best I’ve seen in a restaurant, and the service is so quick. Every time I’ve come, bread arrives on our table almost as soon as we’ve sat down, even when the restaurant is at peak business. I came on a Saturday evening when almost every table was full, and our food took less than 15 minutes to arrive. Each kid’s meal comes with a free gelato. The food is great—I’ve had the salmon, linguine, gnocchi, and lasagne. Bonus—best cannoli I’ve had in Austin! I’ve been on the hunt for great cannoli in this area for years. They fill it right at the counter after you order so it’s always fresh.

We absolutely love this Mandolas. They are so family friendly and all the staff are amazing. The food is always so good, served promptly, warm, and correctly. There is a playground and beautiful covered patio. Last night we went for a family dinner and our littlest needed a diaper change. We were so surprised that both the men and women’s bathrooms have changing tables stocked with extra diapers and wipes! Which came in handy because we had a diaper but forgot the wipes! I am really thankful for such a family friendly and focused business, but still feeling like my husband and I can enjoy a really well cooked high quality meal. Thank you mandolas! We will be back soon!

We’re new to the area and loved having lunch here! The service is fast and everyone was super nice! We both got the Margherita pizza and minestrone soup off the lunch menu, and a tiramisu to go. The manager was very kind and we had a lovely conversation, after which they surprised us with a few different desserts on the house! They were all delicious! I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back!

My husband, son and I just had dinner there for the first time (10/27/25) and had an enjoyable dining experience. We were greeted by the manager, I believe, and he informed us of the menu and ordering process. Each one of our dishes (chicken parmigiana, cheese ravioli and spaghetti with meatballs) came out hot, fresh and delicious. The ambiance was not only nice, but family friendly and clean. All staff were available and helpful, ensuring our dining needs were covered. I’m certain my son would give a thumbs up to not only his spaghetti, but the bread with herb infused oil and his dessert. He also enjoyed playing with other children in the well maintained playground area. We were also treated to a cookie trio consisting of the Thumbprint cookie, Pignoli and Amaretti. All three were delicious, with our favorite being the Pignoli. Upon leaving, we were thanked by the manager for choosing to dine with Mandola’s. I can definitely say we will be back.

We recently dined at Mandola's Italian Kitchen in Cedar Park for lunch, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. What we loved: Delicious Food: The Fried Mozzarella 🧀 was crispy and melted perfectly, while the Chicken Parmesan with Fettuccine Alfredo 🍽️ was creamy and flavorful. Authentic Flavors 🇮🇹: Every dish had a true Italian taste, making it feel like we were dining in Italy! Complimentary Bread 🍞: Fresh, warm bread served with a flavorful olive oil dip – a great touch to start the meal. Service: Fast & Friendly Service ⏱️: The staff was welcoming, and the food came out quickly, even with a busy crowd. Attentive Staff 👏: They made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Highlights: Great Atmosphere 😌: The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner or a special celebration. Perfect for Everyone 🎉: Whether you're on a date or dining with family, this place is great for all occasions. Final Thoughts: Mandola’s Italian Kitchen is one of the best spots for authentic Italian food in Cedar Park. From the food to the service and atmosphere, it’s a top choice. We highly recommend it and look forward to our next visit! ❤️

Went on a first double date with my husband, a new friend of mine, and her husband. We loved it here. You can taste the hand made quality in the food and the customer service is unmatched. We tried Mandola’s Italian Kitchen for the first time and it was really good. The bread they bring out is warm and soft, and it was hard not to fill up on that alone. I ordered the chicken parm and it came out crispy with a fresh-tasting sauce. My wife had the carbonara and it was creamy and flavorful without being too heavy. The staff was friendly and kept up with what we needed without being overbearing. The whole place had a relaxed and lively atmosphere with families and couples enjoying their meals. Our daughter loved the outdoor play area. We left full, had leftovers to take home, and already know we’ll be back!!

I enjoyed a delicious chicken panini sandwich and garlic Parmesan fries. The aoli dip for the fries was delicious. Also tasty was the focaccia bread and olive oil with herbs and spices a server brought out before my order arrived. Service was excellent. I was there after the lunch rush; while there were a few other patrons, the restaurant was pleasantly quiet.

Overall Mandola’s is a very good Italian restaurant with several locations around Austin. I wish that a slightly wider selection though, and I wish they were open a little bit later in the evenings. Their pasta is very good, and if you like their style of pizza I think it’s pretty good, but I prefer deep dish pizza, being from Chicago.

We were looking for a casual spot for date night and were completely blown away by Mandola’s!! The restaurant itself was so cute, cozy and friendly atmosphere. We got pepperoni pizza, lasagna, garlic bread, complimentary focaccia, cheesecake and drinks all for under $50!!!! That is so insane for how quality the food is!! Our food came out so fast and was piping hot, you could taste how fresh everything was! What really set Mandola’s apart was their stellar service!! All of their staff was so helpful and caring, they took the time to ask about our experience, listened and even helped us out when we needed anything!! Will definitely be making this our new go to!! YOU HAVE TO COME HERE!!!

They have this store in Florida also. Nice environment, you can choose between order and wait, or bar and be served, you can have ice cream and desserts or buy some Italian products. Fried mozzarella is good. Bruschetta is delicious. Sangria is frozen, and very sweet. Shrimp scamp is good. Ravioli is good. Tortellini very good.

Fun family place, great outside play area, the kids love coming here!. They also have a really cool balloon artist. Food is good, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I just don't like how the staff makes you feel so rushed and a bother.

Very nice place, quaint decor. Great play area for kids. Traditional & unique fusion Italian dishes. Some of the best focaccia bread I've gotten anywhere. Great food, great staff, not terribly expensive makes for an all around win.

First time to a Mandola's. It was interesting. You order at the counter and find a table. Like a fast food place. However; the food is very good. Not like fast food at all. Right from the start they provided warm focaccia bread and oil. Very good. I sat at the bar and the bartender was great. I ordered the lasagna. It was good quality and a huge portion at a good price. I saw their gelato and dessert case and it looked awesome. I didn't get anything from it though. I know they are expanding quite rapidly so I'll definitely be going to another one again.

Now that was a really good pizza. Went with the cheese as a default. Perfect amount of sauce to cheese. The crust is nice and thin really good crispy crunch from the bottom good chew on the crust itself. The cheese on oven-baked to the perfect amount of Christmas as well. Excellent flavor will definitely be back. the top it off they threw in a little fresh bread with olive oil dipping sauce and some extra grated Parmesan.

A convinient and inexpensive restaurant with play facilities for children. Fast and courteous service. A noisy place and the acoustics are not of high quality. Reasonable food at a since reasonable price. The children get ice cream scoop with kids meal so they are happy to come here often.

This place has been in my hood for a while and I didn't really enjoy or review it the first time so I'm back to give it another try and I'm happy to see why so many other folks enjoy coming here. The service is great, they try to get folks seated and fed quickly like a well oiled machine. They accommodate parties of all sizes. The food comes out fast and the quality is great, there's no quality loss here even when they are super busy. Garlic fries are OK, I prefer Red R fries but these are less greasy. I had the meatball appetizers and they were yummy. My fav dish is the Sat special, Brasato, braised beef short rib it's so good. Also tried the Pollo alla Griglia, good chicken with perfectly executed veggies. Both dishes are great for folks looking to avoid the heavy carbs known in Italian food. They are not the best Italian food I've ever had. You have to go to NY or NJ for that, but they are good and they have great service. I highly recommend coming here.

We try this place for the first time and it never disappointed us bcoz everything is good! Staffs are welcoming and beautiful atmosphere. The foods is so delicious and still keep coming back. If you are craving for a Italian foods this place you are looking for.

We've been back a couple of times since my first review and the food is getting better. The outdoor play area is great for kids and nice for parents to let them run around while you eat and drink. We love the chicken parmesean and the magherita pizza. The kids options with buttered noodles is great and they love the free ice cream. Original post: Pretty good Italian food, but not as great as the main restaurant at the Triangle off Guadalupe. The benefit to this location is they have a nice place for kids to play outside. The bad news is there are numerous flies everywhere on the outside seating. The food is still good and the service is okay.

J
Jill Stostad

I like their food. Fresh basil cut over the top of lasagna is nice, and I love their salad with Italian style vegetables. I only wish they'd bring back this amazing cake. I ordered it all the time in the past, it was a favorite treat. After the pandemic, they removed a lot of items from dessert menu, and I miss this one the most. See photo. It was the best ever. Zupasomething I cannot remember the name. :-(

A Family-Friendly Italian Haven with Efficient Service and Authentic Flavors Mandola's Italian Kitchen delivers exactly what busy families crave: genuinely delicious Italian food in a relaxed, kid-friendly environment where parents can actually enjoy their meal. The counter-service model is brilliantly executed. You order at the front, then choose your spot inside or on the patio, and your food arrives at your table with full-service attention. It's the best of both worlds: casual efficiency without sacrificing hospitality. The pizzas are standouts with distinct, well-balanced flavors. The Margherita showcases quality ingredients with a proper tomato-to-cheese ratio, while the Parma elevates things with its prosciutto. Don't skip the mozzarella sticks as a starter—they're the perfect crowd-pleaser while you wait. What truly sets Mandola's apart is how impeccably clean they keep the space, despite high traffic and kids exploring every corner. This level of maintenance during peak service shows serious operational discipline and respect for guests. This is the rare Italian spot where you can bring the whole family, let the kids be kids, and still enjoy a legitimately good meal without compromise. Whether you're seeking a low-stress weeknight dinner or a casual weekend lunch, Mandola's has mastered the family dining formula.

It was pretty good, I chose this place so that my kids could play outside in between eating and they did have a good time. The fresh bread and oil is amazing and the lemon basil mimosa I had was very good. I ordered the veggie pasta and it came out very fast. It did have a lot of flavor and was very good. I would definitely come back to try other things & my reason for 4 stars in this case would have to be that the price of the food seemed a bit high for the quality and overall food chain vibe feel. The customer service however is great here and the restaurant overall was very clean and tidy.

Not the best but far from the worst. As you enter you hear Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin in the air. There is a lot going on around you. Pictures, and various objects to entertain the eye. Spacious with a lot of elbow room. Vibrant environment. There is a patio in back with tables to eat and a play area for kids. Everything clean and organized. Bathroom clean and stocked. Friendly and professional staff. Food flavoring really good. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. The only reason why I didn't give five stars is the pasta was slightly undercooked. Reasonable prices. I spent 17 and some change on my meal and drinks with two dollar tip. I got full and needed a to go container which was provided near the condiments and soda machine.

Very much enjoyed dining in here for a weekend lunch. I came across Mandola’s on an Eater/similar list and wanted to try it out. Heads up, this restaurant is cafeteria style: order, then eat yourself and your food will be brought to your table. There is outdoor as well as indoor seating (a main section in the centre and a second section through an archway on the side). There is also bar seating by the bar near the entrance. We got their garlic bread with mozzarella cheese and absolutely loved it. Their house bread served with spiced olive oil (complimentary) was so-so, nothing special. For vegetarians, there is one spaghetti option, one ravioli option, and one vegetarian Panini. I got the spaghetti Ortolano and definitely enjoyed it - thin spaghetti with lots of veggies and flavoured, simply with basil, onion, garlic, and olive oil. Others in our party, got the chicken Panini and the beef brisket which were also good. We finished with gelato (which you order separately at the gelato counter) - their straticella (vanilla with shards of delicious dark chocolate) is so good! They let us pick two flavours in the small size, which is perfect for one person. The atmosphere in the restaurant is loud and lively - leisurely lunch, catching up with friends. The outside seating overlooks a sizable kids play area. Overall, I had a decent lunch at Mandola’s, and it is definitely worth dining here, at least once to try it out.

We had food from Mandola many times, but were usually take outs, so today, we decided to dine in. I was a little surprised to find out there was no full table service; instead, we would place the order then find the place to sit. The restaurant was busy but the order arrived reasonably fast and the taste was excellent as usual. Now, there was one odd thing that we noticed, which is NOT related to service or food... Among the Serie A club's flags hanging from the ceiling, there was one particular club's flag that was hung upside-down... I don't know if that's intentional (because of rivalry) or a simple mistake, but knowing that the team 💙🖤 has made into this year's UEFA Champions League semifinal, their flag deserves to be displayed the right way... 😅😅😅

We are long time diners at Mandolas (both the Cedar Park and Triangle locations). It is always consistently excellent however, recently we’ve noticed that the pasta is mushy and softer than usual. I most recently ordered fettuccine Alfredo with grilled shrimp and it had pools of grease along the edges of the plate and the pasta was mushy. I have never experienced greasy food like that at Mandolas before. The staff is incredibly friendly, though they could do a better job of clearing dirty plates off the tables more quickly. They do have the best bread in town and we love it there. Hoping this is just a few one-off experiences.

Loud kids screaming outside in the playground area. Inside is awful humid (manager: fix the AC system!). But the prices are good here and the food is great. The servers are ok, not great but not bad. The pizzas are getting skimpier but the dough is really good. Funny, the border of pizzas used to be about 1/2 inch with nothing on it. Then 1". Now maybe 1.5 inches? Then the tomato sauce and cheese are becoming very minimal. Basil is a cheap, almost free, herb. Yet our pizza with basil had almost none on it! Wow, really?? C'mon! You guys used to have such a good reputation. Now... I'll still come back only because I live near and it's convenient. But it'll be less and less frequent unless things improve.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ My neighbors invited me to join their Valentine’s tradition at Mandola’s and overall it was a really good experience. They have five kids and this place is very family friendly. There’s a playground outside, which is huge when you’re dining with a crowd of little ones. Inside was spacious enough for the seven of us plus my daughter’s wheelchair, and we didn’t feel cramped at all. That alone earns major points from me. It’s counter service. You order, they give you a table number, find you a table, and then bring the food out. Easy and smooth. The food itself was fine. Nothing bad, just nothing that really stood out. I’d give the main food about three stars. Now the gelato is a completely different story. I had stracciatella there and brought home pistachio and almond. I have traveled Europe extensively and have been to Italy multiple times, and I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best pistachio gelato I’ve ever had. Five stars all day long. The stracciatella was delicious too. I also brought home a slice of Italian cream cake. It tasted like it may not be baked on site. It was a little dry, not bad, just not super fresh. I’d give the bakery four stars. They also have a pretty solid beer and wine selection. So here’s my breakdown Gelato five stars Food three stars Atmosphere and family friendliness five stars Bakery four stars Overall I’m giving it four stars. I would absolutely go back, especially for that pistachio gelato. 🍨

Well!! Very Interesting! We had limited Choices on New Years Day! Umm It's not me! I'm not over dressed!! The people that go to this restaurant were bizarre at best. Sweatpants and baseball caps on in a public dining area! So tacky!! Women in ball caps! At an Italian restaurant! I was in shock it was Rudy's set up or Chipotle! Sad! If you sit in the bar area and try really hard not to look around, you can order full menu style! But she dropped the ball on dessert orders and getting the check. The bartender we said we were going to everything properly through her and tip her. The full service area needs better dimmer lighting not the same as the open floor. A dress code of some kind. And well you wouldn't need these things with common sense. Very strange Italian restaurant! We loved the desserts the best and took it home to eat romantically. We did enjoy the Thursday special but you have to get extra marinara to cut the cream. Then it was delicious. I won't be back. Definitely lower middle class dining.

Food was surprisingly good!! We had eggplant parmigiana and the beef brasato and they were delicious! The eggplant parmigiana comes with pasta and since I’m not eating carbs at the moment, I requested to have vegetables instead. I had to pay extra for that, which is fine, however was expecting a more abundant portion of vegetables since I had to pay… but all good. We had a nice meal and recommend this restaurant. My son had pizza and said it was very good, too. Ambience is lively and loud, very family friendly ; restrooms were clean; staff is very friendly and are constantly cleaning the tables. We will be coming back for sure!

Food was decent, came out hot & FAST, less than 10 minutes. My main problem is the atmosphere, this place was overrun by loud children yelling & running free. Kids kept running into my chair, screaming in my ear & I could hardly hold a conversation. Not sure if this is the norm or I just caught this place on a bad night, but definitely ruined my experience a bit. For the price point the food was OK, would come back for the gelato & calamari.

H

This is basic Americanized Italian fare. The foccacia bread is a nice touch. But our chicken wasn't seasoned uniformly between servings. The marinara was average. This is nothing to write home about.

I tried the chicken parmesean with fettuccine and it didn't live up to its reputation of being a favorable dish. It was bland, plus the texture of the chicken was chewy. I tried my wife's fried calamari and it tasted good. The desserts were the best part, anything from the neopolitan cake to amaretti, pignoli cookies. Don't skip dessert. 😋

I've never been before yesterday. They do NOT practice social distancing. The waitress kept wiping her nose with hand and touching other things. The sitting is chaotic. The waitress gave a number to us and then gave the table to someone else. She seemed very timid to tell the person that the table was already reserved. Ppl come in an just sit at random tables too like children afraid they won't have a seat.. Again, chaotic. This place is like fast food fresh. The food was great. You can tell it's fresh. I probably won't go back to this location.

Took my teenage daughter and niece and adult daughter for dinner. Almost $100 and left a $15 tip for a place where you order at a counter and get your own drink. The place was never at full capacity, yet during our dinner, the staff was extremely rude in constantly clearing our dishes. They tried to grab our paid for garlic bread, not the free bread, bowl while we were still eating. Then, the staff LOUDLY cleared anything else we were finished with as soon as we finished the plate. We could not hear each other for the sound of plates and them reaching ACROSS the table during our conversation. Did not want to ruin the girls' evening, so we left. But will probably not go to this Mandola's again and that does make me sad. I have gone to Mandola's for years.

This is more like a glorified Fazoli's these days. Italian Fast Food. Ordered to go for my office today for 6 pple. No utensils or napkins provided. My co-worker asked for a 2nd bag of bread bc they usually give us 2 bags for 6 pple. She was told that she would have to pay 25 cents per extra piece of bread! Crazy seeing that u get unlimited bread when dining in. Pasta is generally dry and you have to pay $2-3 per extra side of sauce if u would like to taste it on your pasta. Chicken parm is dry and overcooked. Our salads each had 1 black olive and 1 green olive as if they were purposely portioned out this way lol What a joke. They also do not have any baked pastas, like ziti, or make calzones even though they make pizza. Strange place. I would not go out of my way to go here, merely a "restaurant" of convenience. Oh yeah, and you also can't order lunch online; you have to call to get lunch specials/pricing for to go.

Mandolas has always been a favorite we love the food and environment. Last night was a super busy night but we still made the best. I can't control who comes out and the staff did a great job managing the crowds. My issue was with a staff member. He was very rude and pushy and just seemed way overwhelmed. The other staff members were doing great with all the customers and seemed fine. This guy was just like hurry up and order. He also didn't allow me to order a kids meal for my daughter without even asking if she was 12 or under. He just assumed she was older. She's not. I wasn't there to argue since he was already so frustrated. He mentioned people just want to kids meal for free gelato. I said she gets a kids meal because she's a kid and can't finish an adult portion. He didn't care and stayed starring at me. I enjoy the Mandolas at the triangle they are always respectful and aren't rude. I'll be going there from now on.

Not a fan. It's pretty expensive for counter service. I ordered spaghetti with Italian sausage and the sausage was really dry with a weird consistency and was like eating rubber mixed with styrofoam. I only ate a bite out of fear of getting sick. Other times food was decent. Play ground is very popular with families.

Drove 30 minutes to dine here only to find out they closed 4 hours early for no good reason (it is Super Bowl Sunday, it’s not a holiday AND there aren’t even Texas teams competing). Very unprofessional and very aggravating. We could have just dined locally and saved time and gas.

Absolutely no direction walking in the door. 2 minutes later an employee tells us this is “fast casual dinning” pick a table and to go to the ordering window. Food was bland. The piece of chicken Parmesan I could cut was tough and grisly. Mozzarella pieces and 2 entrees - 1 being inedible for $60 is kind of crazy.

I visited this restaurant with my two-year-old daughter and was seated inside. While we were eating, a staff member approached us and told me to keep my daughter quiet or leave. My daughter wasn’t crying. she was happily eating her meal and making normal, joyful sounds typical of a two year old. This behavior from the employee was rude and unacceptable.

My friend, who is gluten intolerant ordered a gluten-free pizza. It came out and she had a slice and commented how good it was. Luckily the manager came by to ask how everything was and she commented on how good their gluten free crust was. He said that isn't gluten free and took it away. They did bring her a real gf pizza, and she did get sick at the restaurant. I was not happy. They did give her a gf cookie to compensate. Really? Luckily she didn't have a severe allergic reaction. Very disappointed in their response to this.
