Atmosphere was a 3, but the food was 5 stars. My poor Spanish didn't stop us from ordering a great meal. Tacos were so tasty, fish was fresh, good times all the way around. Local stay dogs come to your feet while you eat, would be nice if they left them outside

Good typical Mexican food, right on the town square and open for breakfast before everyone else. Enjoyed some huevos rancheros here before going on a flamingo tour to see the Biosphere Reserve that Celestún is famous for. The service was quick, the staff friendly and they even had a nice strong cup of tea which was an absolute delight. You can sit outside for some sidewalk dining under large umbrellas or inside. The tables are a little sticky, but this is a cheap eats place, not a fancy five star so if you like traditional Mexican food then you're fine. OH, and it serves mainly seafood so expect some flies like everywhere in a beachside town. Although I was here for breakfast, it's mainly seafood so not a lot of veggie options for our plant based diet lovers, but if you eat eggs you won't starve.

Had a quick tasty lunch on a Saturday afternoon, friendly old man served us, was a bit slow considering we were the only table occupied but was worth waiting for! I had fish tacos so yummy and flavourful, my husband had the fried fish and he loved it! The pico de Gallo was bland tho.. lovely beaches in Celestún, gorgeous water....

We came here on the recommendation of another traveler (although he may not have tried any other restaurants, and Google Maps showed others with better ratings). The shrimp cocktail we ordered was average, but with tiny shrimp. The ceviche was decent, but the prices were city-like (I'll leave photos). The taste wasn't great, but it was okay. It took a long time to serve us... even to give us the bill.

The food was okay, but the service was very slow. I liked my huevos rancheros, though the rice on the side tasted not quite fresh to me. The food wasn't bad, though. And it came with a fresh lime. I felt a little annoyed by the street dogs running around in the restaurant, but at least they didn't seem to be allowed in the kitchen. The table was sticky and overall the place seemed a little run down. To be fair, the prices of the food are very low.

La comida buena, pero el servicio pésimo, el restaurante está a cargo de una familia y son muy descuidados para atender, tienes que andarlos buscando en la cocina si necesitas algo.

Llegamos rápido y muertos del hambre, al menos satisfizo nuestra necesidad. Buena atención, pero en sabor y porciones pueden mejorar.

Recomiendo explorar otras opciones de comida en la playa, no varían tanto los precios en relación a este lugar, su comida no tiene sabor y los precios son elevados.

Our service and food was OK, nothing to write home about. We ordered huevos al la Americana and coffee. We sat outside. We had to fight off the flies. While we were waiting we were served pan tostado. We ate one piece of toast, however, we did not order it, we thought it was complementary. Also while we were waiting for our food the owner/waiter started talking with his friends out in the street. In the meantime 6 other people came in and sat waiting for service. All 6 got up and left because there was no service. The owner/waiter was still in the street talking with his friends. When received our bill we were charged $40.00 pesos for the pan, which we did not order. We brought this to his attention but the owner/waiter said nothing. We paid and left.

We went there for breakfast as the restaurant next door was closed. Price for a coffee very competitive, quality OK. Fresh fruits were good, again good value for money. Our toasted bread came with honey, jam and butter. The butter was used from other guests before, we found a big fly in the honey jar the jam was new so at least we were able eat our tostadas with something on it. If you want good breakfast, go somewhere else.

No me gustó el lugar en qué fui hoy me dieron un pescado que llevaba bastante tiempo afuera cuando me lo dieron me lo dieron con muy poca cosa a lo que decía el menu el lugar había repleto de moscas quizás los mariscos estén bien pero los pescados fritos no los recomiendo comer ahí la verdad es anti igienico le muy mala atención ni fotos tomé ni comer podía por las moscas hasco la verdad 🤢

Pésimo! Venden en su menú un kilo de mojarra pero preguntas y es sólo una (que obviamente no pesa un kilo) se molestan y cobran el baño en $20 MXN. Horrible

Definitivamente no es la mejor opción. Los platillos son muy pobres (prometen arroz y frijoles y jamás llegan). No saben mal pero es mejor buscar en otro lado.

La comida no es muy buena y no lo recomiendo para probar la gastronomía típica del lugar, como por ejemplo la cochinita pibil o el plato yucateco, esperaría que tuvieran mejor calidad por sus precios un tanto elevados. Además la comida está apenas caliente y congelada por dentro. Sólo me gustó el agua de Jamaica y la Sopa de lima. :(

Terrible place. Super slow service. Food tasteless. The prices aren't what they show on the menu. It's better to eat at the beach restaurants. You go there with something to eat because the trip is long, and it's a very bad experience. The bathrooms are extremely disgusting, and the cutlery is dirty.
