BJ's was crowded when we got there around 10ish on a typical Tuesday night. Had the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and broccoli which was really good. Tried tasters of about eight beers brewed by BJ's. I specifically wanted to try different beers that I can't get in the Chicagoland area ans I got that with the vast beers available at BJs. Most breweries close around 9ish on a weekday, however, this is a good place to hang out until about midnight (closing time).

BJ's is a great place, but the Cerritos location is the best! All the food is great. The servers are incredibly welcoming and friendly as is the management. My wife and I enjoy a meal here at least 2 times a week. Shout out to the managers Michelle and Evan and our favorite servers: Patrick, Sara, Diego, Lizzie, Robbie, Jessie, Javier, Elmer and Taylor.

This is the first time for me I went there. Food, service is good and environment is nice but a bit dark inside one of my friends she doesn’t like here but for me is there okay. The food everything is delicious 🤤 also I love there service everyone helpful and friendly staff I hope I will back again soon.

Great service all around. Nick was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out exactly as ordered. Drinks stayed full, timing was perfect, and they checked in just enough without being intrusive. The kids and I had a great time ❤️

We had Yasminna as our waitress and she was incredible. We love it when the customer service is just as good - if not better - than the food. No offense! It’s a Friday happy hour period so it’s poppin’ with people and energy. Yasminna quickly matched the energy and actually stepped in for her colleague who was overwhelmed. She zipped here and there with a smile, warmth, and grace. She handled everything so quickly and made our experience pleasant. Highly recommend this spot and make sure you sit in Yasminna’s section!

I was here yesterday to celebrate my birthday. Although it took 50 minutes to get a table, i would absolutely come again for starters the food was delicious!!!! We had a great dinner in the Bar area of BJ’s Cerritos. Our server was Denim, and he was GREAT! Very personable, and great food and drink suggestions. Checked back on us often, but not intrusively. Service like that is rare these days, but if you have the chance, ask for Denim and he’ll make sure you have a great dinner experience!

I came to have dinner for my sons bday and the server told us there was a 30 min wait but we could go to the bar it didn’t make sense that we could be serve on the bar but not the regular area we came with kids not an area for kids. I asked Miah and she was very nice and went out of her way to help us and we were seated within 3 minutes. Appreciate Miah.

Perfect evening! We celebrated multiple birthdays in late August with a large party of 13 and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! Our server, Kassandra, and the rest of the wait staff did an outstanding job. They were friendly, attentive, and kept our drink glasses full all evening. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything came out just right despite our large group. Everyone had a great time. I highly recommend BJ’s Cerritos (and Kassandra!) for any special occasion or just a great meal out!

This was the best steak I had in the fastest order to deliver at any BJ's I've had in the last 20 years. Appropriately cooked medium rare ribeye in 10 minutes. An awesome bartenders, Diego and Taylor. Just as I finished my wedge salad, the food showed up. It was busy and dining was still perfect. Outstanding staff. The kitchen crew is awesome too. Perfect.

I had a bad experience at BJ’s my last visit. Funny enough, I received an email survey to complete and I definitely shared my distaste. BJ’s sent me a courtesy voucher so I decided to give this location another shot. So glad I did. Mel, our server, made our visit great. She was attentive, kind, and incredibly hospitable. In general, top notch service. Thank you Mel! I hope next time we get the pleasure of you being our server again! One of the main reasons I wanted to visit was to catch a happy hour $6 margarita. There were no tables as BJ’s gets pretty packed. A table opens minutes before happy hour closes. Mel notices I’m waiting on it, she tells me she’ll get someone to buss. I asked if it was possible to start ringing me up for a happy hour drink before the special’s over, and she did !!! A+ chef’s kiss, literally what I mostly wanted. Our food came out tasty and much better than last time. Our pizookies came out warm. Last time we visited they were cold. :( Once again, great service by Mel. We’ll be back for another girl’s dinner. Uber Eats completely dropped the ball on my order and took no accountability, but Evan stepped in immediately and went above and beyond to make it right. Great place to eat and drink! Food is good and right now they have a special where you can get the Pizookie deal - Mon -Friday ( Entree, side and a small Pizookie for $13) not a bad deal! I had the small veggie pizza with a salad and gluten-free Pizookie. It was a great option, since I can't eat red meat and gluten free for heath reasons. Yes the Pizookie was gluten-free and it was fabulous! I also tried their new ale and with that you can opt to buy the glass which is very cool! Service is a little slow most of the time, but overall I would still give BJ's in Cerritos a 95% rating and would definitely recommend.

Wonderful time for a late night dinner. Came in after not having BJs in a long time. Always pleasantly surprised. The food was decent and the food service was a bit slow given that it was busy. Came in for a business meeting. Food and service were great. We opted to just do happy hour appetizers. Happy with the choices. Good house blonde beers. Sliders were really good and a great price during happy hour. Really a good chain restaurant!

Service was amazing, the food was awesome but there weren't any heaters outside. It was about 65 degrees outside and everyone was chilly. Luckily we were able to order hot chocolate. Our waiter was fantastic and made or experience great. We had avocado roll, sweet potatoes fries, and brussel sprout appetizers. Our entrees included rib eye streak, clam chowder, deep dish pizza, and a broccoli soup. Everything was great other than the weather.

Updated review for 12/16 - wish they would remove dirty plates before they bring dessert. :/ Service slow... And half our party got their food while the others waited another 10 minutes or so for theirs to arrive. Older review - A little slow but our server was very nice. (Carmen) Tables are ALWAYS dirty in the bar area when we come in and you have to stand and wait for someone to come clean one off. Love the Thursday tri-tip/baby back rib specials which include a pizookie for $19... Also the lunch all day specials which now come with a mini pazookie for $13. The strawberry fields salad is my fave! House margarita with tahin is also yummy. 5/29- Thursday sirloin special. Yum! Smashed potatoes are not hot enough, ever! But she brought more HOT ones. Super nice server... Sam. And snickers pizookie good but SO SWEET!

Had a reservation for 3, we arrive and let the hostess know we need a high chair and would like a table not a booth. She stated only booths were available or we would have to wait another 45 min (even though I had a reservation) for a table. I said whatever is available first. 10 mins pass and they said they had a booth for us ready, we get to the booth and I asked for the high chair.. she says we can't give you a high chair because "it would block the asisle and the hostess at the front told you". I said, " no, she didn't mention we wouldn't have a high chair at a booth or I wouldn't have agreed to sit at a booth". She offered to give us a boster seat, for an 8 month old?! That is unsafe! The hostess sitting us was arguing with me and finally said she would be right back. Manager EVAN, comes by and was very understanding of the situation (the hostess still arguing with me in front of him) he was so professional and caring. He found us a table and a high chair. BRENDAN was the busser and helped clear the table for us. SHAYLA was just an angel. She was attentive and a wonderful server. What 2 hostess started off as a horrible and embarrassing experience for any parent was saved by 3 wonderful staff members understanding. Thank you EVAN, BRENDAN, & SHAYLA you truly embody customer care and service.

I have visited BJs numerous times, and each experience has been consistently positive, particularly in terms of customer service. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed right from the moment I walk in. Although I've occasionally had to wait for a table, the wait times have typically been brief, allowing me to settle in and enjoy the atmosphere without much delay. Overall, my visits have been enjoyable, thanks to the combination of great service and a pleasant dining environment.

Went for a late night meetup with friends. We ordered a ton of food and drinks. First of all the ambience is great and the service is amicable. They are a bit slow but it was perfect for us as we were busy chatting and watching games. We got Nashville hot wings, chips with artichoke dip, avacado egg rolls, fried mimosas, Brussels sprouts, deep dish pizzas and cocktails. The food was tasty and amazing. My fav was the wings which was juicy and flavorful with the spicy butter sauce. I also loved their desserts with hot cookie and ice cream. Since we went after 10 pm we had happy hour deals on few of our orders. Overall a good place to hangout with friends.

Overall experience was good. Except for the wait time on a random Thursday. Other than food was delicious.

This was my first time coming to this establishment and it was overall an OK time. The establishment itself is similar to other franchise locations in terms of atmosphere, quality of food, etc. However, I thought that the service was not great. We had to wait nearly ten minutes to be seated in a restaurant that was probably 35% at capacity. Additionally, we had to hunt down our server to not only order food, but pay the bill. We ended up going up front and manually asking for the bill and paying there.

We came on a Saturday night so I made sure we had a table set ahead of time. Our waiter was phenomenal, and attentive, and even though there was a slight wait for our food, he kept checking in on us and making sure we were good. The food was okay. The cheese on my sandwich was kind of... rubbery. The meat was thick and difficult to chew. I ended up just sharing everyone else's meals. Entirely my fault for not sending it back and not allowing them to make it right, but it was a Saturday night and I didn't want to be annoying.

The place is beautiful, the Cookie (Pazookie) and the Shrimp were good, but the Sirloin, Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli were dry as the desert (I mentioned this to the waitress and it didn't bother her at all)... The restaurant wasn't very busy yet (4pm) but they took forever to bring everything, including the drinks (how's that?).

Nick was a great server. All appetizers and pizza came at same time. Had to send wings back because they were cold.

All 4 of our meals were good 1 was not! The ribs were so dried out she had to use her folk to separate the good and the bad meat as she took it off the bone. She could not cut the ribs on the top side. We didn't complain because of wait time to replace it.

The food was quite nice but the service…? We ordered curbside and we asked for napkins and utensils. They deliberately didn’t give us any utensils or napkins but they “cooked” our food in like 5 minutes. The food was okay. It’s a bit overpriced but okay. The girl behind the desk in curbside was a bit rude and rolled her eyes as she was approaching our vehicle. I didn’t get welcoming vibes from her. The outside of the restaurant was clean and so was the inside. It was pretty crowded for a Monday evening.

I just wanted to say that last night was horrible with how long i had to wait for my food. However my server Kevin C. turned our experience around by apologizing for the wait and giving us a free pizookie since we were celebrating my fathers birthday. He was attentive and making sure that our needs were met for the rest of the night.

Pizookie made the visit worthwhile, Pizookie alone is 5/5. Visited back when it was Super-bowl Sunday. Food was subpar, tasty but nothing crazy. My dad asked for water but the waiter only brought one glass instead for the table of us 6, it was hilarious. Service is slow, doesn’t check up on you unless called. Atmosphere is busy, people are too loud, music is very low volume we need it louder. You can hear conversations which is not good. Pizookie made it all worth it, only menu item worth buying.

This location needs a chef change. The food was awful. I normally get jambalaya because of its consistency from location to location and this one found a way to screw it up. Felt like I was eating rice pilaf with meat in it. The Buffalo wings were like eating dry rub, the clam chowder was gritty and to top it off the Pepsi was flay. My sis was not happy so asked our waitress to fix a few things and she delivered. Had it not been for this young lady fighting for it, we would have given them a 1. She had them fix the Pepsi, brought out more Buffalo sauce for the wings and brought sauce for the jambalaya. It is clear the chefs cooking on a Saturday night did NOT want to be there and should be on other duties. Granted it was packed and perhaps the restaurant was understaffed but our waitress was wonderful!! I think her name was Rocky so we took care of her. She saved the experience but I can't let the food slide if folks are wondering if they should eat here over the maaaaany choices around. It is next to great shopping Nordstrom Rack and Off Sak 5th Avenue. The police were running stop signs and speeding through the parking lot so can't comment on safety around there but the parking lot was very lit for BJs.

Place was empty and still had a to wait 20 minutes. Service was non existent. Our server kept forgetting items we ordered and we had to ask multiple times. When they dropped our food off they would literally set it on the the table and runaway without saying a word. Got soup with no crackers, pizza with no Parmesan or peppers, fries no ranch or ketchup, and no refills. The pizza dough tasted weird and had a strong yeast flavor. Mozzarella sticks were dry and cold by the time we got them. Steak was salty and overcooked. The only reason for the 2 stars is because I liked the clam chowder. The worst part of it all was that we couldn't ask our server for anything because he was no where to be found and the food runners just ran away after dropping the food off. Will definitely never return to this or any other BJs.

Came on 03/07/26 made reservations for my daughter 21 birthday. We got seated. Very quickly. We were a group of 6 and my group all there drinks came out quick and fast . But I order the Margarita flights and a tequila sunrise and it took our waitress a hole hour for the bar waitress to bring my drinks A HOLE HOUR LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS. Then took for ever bringing our check this will be my first and last time coming here.

Waited an hour to be seated, when we were there were a bunch of open tables which were later filled with people so it’s not like they were in a closed section. Got menus and both of them had old food stuck to them, one was a really big piece (see photo) and the other had like lettuce under the clear plastic, waiter seemed out of it. One ordered a chili bowl and waiter read back a pazooki….food entrees came out at way different times, and missing items. Just overall a bad experience. Seriously concerned about the hygiene at this location- if they hand out menus like that imagine what else is being “missed” in terms of cleanliness. They then sat a table next to us with several kids who were allowed to run wildly around the table and intentionally throw large amounts of trash on the floor which went unpicked up for the bulk of the time we were there. Thought I was at a Chuck E. Cheese’s for a minute but it wasn’t.

Great service. But highly unsatisfactory for the food! Everything that was shrimp 🍤 based was extremely salty, starting off with the garlic shrimp and bread appetizer, it was way to salty and it got even worse, the shrimp tacos tasted like straight salt, I’ve been to other places where shrimp is not super salty and way better tasting than here. The only good thing was probably the Caesar salad but had to too much dressing on it. Whoever is a chef here or is cooking needs to learn how to season their food I wouldn’t come back for seafood here, maybe just the beer, pazookie, and or pizza. Came on a Sunday from 4:30-5:30pm with reservations so wait time was fairly quick highly suggest making one or I’ll wait 30 min-1hr.

Disappointing experience all in all. Went on a Thursday night 6/13 around 9:50, busy because of graduations. Decided to do ToGo. Hostesses @ the front were nice and cordial. Ladies at the ToGo counter weren’t friendly or helpful one had a red bow. When we approached the counter they were having a conversation so it’s like we interrupted them. Once we decided what we wanted, one lady started taking our order, then turns around to the other girl and says you want to take it? Like ma’am you already started.. why switch it up now? So they switch now the First Lady is guiding her through the process. So I kept having to repeat myself for them. We ordered the sliders, no ketchup, extra pickles & lemon pepper wings. We also wanted 2 of the mocktails they have (nonalcoholic drinks) one was strawberry dream, another was like berry dazzle or something. The first girl tells us those drinks are available in ToGo option. I asked why? She said she didn’t know. How convenient. Place the order, pay. Proceed to talk to the hostesses in front who were much friendlier, I asked them why they were unsure as well but they got the manager Evan. Even was great he explained they only offer two ToGo cup size options and the ounces for those are not the same as the ounces as the mocktails.. how inconvenient. But you can get an alcoholic beverage to go. Typical. When we went back to the ToGo counter we seen an order waiting behind the counter, my sister asked the first girl was our order ready she said no, a few more minutes. That was a lie, 10mins later she walked off empty handed walked back empty handed GRABBED THE ORDER THAT HAD BEEN SITTING THERE & called us over. That was our order like we suspected, ole girl was being spiteful. We ordered @ 10:05, our order was ready @ 10:17 (per receipt on bag) she gave us our order @ 10:35. Got to the car everything except my wings were COLD. Ridiculous. Completely annoyed I left. Once I was home I went to throw my sliders in the air fryer open one to remove the meat & SEE KETCHUP. The absolute first thing I asked was NO KETCHUP it was even on the order receipt. I threw the whole meal away sliders ruined & it’s hard to rewarm cold fries, waste of gas, waste of time, complete waste. My sister said her lemon pepper wings were good so there that, but I won’t be back. Next time I’ll be across the street @ Eurekas!

Went to happy hour today at BJ's in Cerritos about 4:45 went in sat down at a table in the bar area and waited to order a beer. I am a BJs beer club member for many years now and I love it but I always go to Brea. I sat there for 25 min and watched as every server in there walked past me numerous times and not one of them greeted me, took my order,nothing. It was the worst display of service I have ever experienced. So after 25 min I got up and left. There is not a worker in the bar area today that was competent. I will not be back and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to not go to this restaurant. When I just posted this I saw a review saying what great service they got... that's baloney...their philosophy is that hey let these minimum wage workers pick and choose who gets the service. I'm not kidding don't go here it sucks.

Definitely do not go here for lunch unless you want to wait over an hour to get your food. Not sure what happened with the pizza, but it’s all sauce and barely any cheese and they don’t even cut it into 4th only in half. Bjs used to be so good too.

We waited 30 minutes to get into the restaurant, and once inside, 20 more minutes went by without anyone helping us. I decided to leave — one hour of waiting for nothing.

1/5 Stars – I will never come back This was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. The food came out cold, and the egg rolls were burnt and looked like they had been sitting out for a long time. The quality was unacceptable, especially for a paid meal. Our server, Denim, did not refill our drinks, never checked on our table, and did not double-check that our order was correct. There was little to no attention given to customer service throughout the entire visit. On top of that, I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable as a Black customer. The overall treatment and lack of attentiveness made the experience even worse. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to others.

Came to celebrate a birthday with my grandma and unfortunately the great service and food that we used to receive is gone. Walk in the door and the line is out the door and only one host is working. Took 8 minutes to get 5 people to enter their phone number. Was thankful I used the app to put my name in so we only waited 5 minutes. Once we got to the table we weren't ready to order so then it took another 10 minutes before being able to order. Once ordered, took 20 minutes before we saw our waitor again and asked if we needed a refill that we had emptied 15 minutes prior. They weren't busy but food took over 45 minutes. I ate two slices (1 Buffalo and 1 favorites) hoping it the favorite was better than the Buffalo. The cheese doesn't looked cooked on the Buffalo and that was when I lost my appetite. I grabbed another slice of the favorite and that was when my finger went threw a runny dough, considering the dough is cooked in the morning and then recooked at time of order, I lost my appetite and didn't want to wait another 20-45 minutes for a remake. Took another 10 minutes before we got the attention of the waiter. He took the pizza and they removed the pizza from the order. Asked for a box for my grandma's sandwich and he brought the bill and let me know that the manager took care of the pizza. Thank you for taking care of a pizza that was horrible and undercooked. But the manager never came over and in fact never saw a manager on duty. Which would explain why no one is working very hard and trying to take care of customers as they don't have a manager present trying to get their staff to work. My wife called the staff zombies because every person we looked at moved slow and inattentive to those around them who they are working. I worked at BJs for nearly 3 years and a sense of urgency was always required and no one had anything close to that. Was extremely disappointed and will go further away and won't be choosing this location anytime soon.

Pretty disappointed with my experience. I had made a reservation for my family of 5 for 10:30 online. While making the reservation there was no notice of kitchen’s closing time. I did search it up before hand and it said that on Sunday they stay open till 12pm. When we arrived there was no one at the front and we waited till around 10:40 and no one had come up to attend us.(we were okay with this) a waiter come up to us and said that their dining is closed but bar is open then left us. We were so confused just standing there then after a while decided to leave. I feel like the staff should have done a better job of attending us/explaining instead of leaving us standing there or let us know if our reservations were canceled. We ended up just going home but I feel like if it isn’t the waiters fault then the website should have something that explain when the dining/kitchen closes before a reservations made.

Unfortunately, we never even got the chance to eat. We arrived at BJ’s around 6:30 p.m. and were quoted a 40–50 minute wait, which seemed reasonable for a Friday night. After about an hour, I overheard the hostess mention they were running behind — understandable on a busy evening. However, after waiting an hour and a half, I checked again and was told there were still 12 parties ahead of us and it would be at least another 30 minutes. That means a two-hour total wait, far longer than what was initially communicated. I completely understand that restaurants get busy, but accurate wait times and transparency are essential. Had we known from the start that it would be closer to two hours, we would have made other plans. Instead, we left tired, hungry, and very disappointed. We won’t be returning.

We did not have a good experiance, my hubs had the Ribeye n mashed potatoes they over cooked it, and the mashed potatoes where salty. My beef dip sandwich was so salty and fries where old and very very salty. Over all salty. We did not want to wait for a new meal. Never coming back here again. Money down the drain, literally. Waitress was not so pleasant as well.

Walked in and was immediately treated rudely by the hostess. Attitude, short, and couldn’t even make eye contact with me and others as we checked in. Not a great way to start my experience. She had short light brown hair, with red lipstick. Was too busy trying to talk to coworkers to give the customers any time of day. To be specific rude to an elderly couple that came in shortly after that was just trying to check in.

We went there during a very busy hour and was given very poor service. I understand it was busy, but waiting 30-45min before servicing a customer is crazy. I got my food before my partner did, finished it, and my partner still didn’t receive their food after saying it was cold. Very bad experience and I don’t think we’ll ever come here again. Hire better staff.

Came in yesterday around 7pm during their dinner rush. We had to wait an hour to get seated, there was no problem with that. But after that everything that could go wrong went wrong. Our hostess sat us and didn’t give us any sort of place setting (will be important later). Our waitress came and we ordered our drinks, when our drinks came our waitress spilt one all over its side and sticky residue and drink got all over our table. We didn’t have any sort of napkins, 4 of their employees saw the mess on the table and walked by, no one offered to bring us any napkins, so i had to go up to 3 of their hostess who were dancing and joking around to ask for a place setting. After that we ordered our food, our waitress was very short with us, would cut us off while we were asking for things but gave other tables her full attention and time. My partner asked for her burger to be cooked medium, it’s obviously raw in the photo. The kitchen gave me the wrong order when we tried to ask the waitress again she gave us an attitude and didn’t let us finish talking. When they brought out the new order, it was still wrong. After that we just decide to leave. We come to BJS often especially in the fall when the Screamsicle is part of the menu. My partner feels like the waitress acted that way towards us because we are obviously a gay couple, we noticed that she was only short and rude with us. Everyone else had wonderful service. Overall i’m just really disappointed in the service and the food quality, will not be dining in this location ever again. On top everything, my partner has reported feeling sick after eating here so food poisoning is just the cherry on top.
