I love this place so much. The woman who runs it is an absolute gem of a human. I come here multiple times a week and always leave with a smile on my face :) Also the owner’s Nieces make the cutest art she has it posted up in the store. Adorable. They have everything you need for a night out or a night in can’t recommend it enough. Perfect little mini mart.
Love this place! Used to live next to it on main and 5th, and they have a great selection of basically everything. Love the owner and we miss going here every day.
The employees at this establishment are a godsend! From the open front door to the employees compassion, this place is everything you want from your local convenience store. And of course, they have everything you need.
Amazing store and great staff, definitely shopping here again 👍👍👍👍👍
very cool place with great shops like Light Years and Fedora and many more veey cool shops!!
Clean and great prices . Very nicely arranged and great customer service.
The overall experience is one of the best I’ve ever had. The building and location is clean and convenient for parking and walk up service. Also they have kiosks for ordering. The service was excellent and not lengthy at all. Everything was fresh and delicious, a (LITERALLY) melt in your mouth place. I am so glad I came in to try this place. Definitely a favorite now and I will be revisiting and recommending this place to everyone who wants a try of heavenly devine!
I absolutely love this bubble tea shop! The drinks are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The pearls are soft and chewy, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The shop has a cozy vibe that makes it the perfect place to relax with friends. It’s definitely one of the best bubble tea spots I’ve ever been to! 🧋✨
By far the best boba in chapel hill. I get the super fruit green tea with zero sweetness. Superior in consistency and quality.
Mango Pomelo 10/10 by far the best in town I love it I have never ordered a drink I didn't like from this place!! If you have not been adventurous and tried different menu items you are for sure missing out.
Someone at the Gathering Place on the other side of the buildings has a drink from here and it looked so good! I decided to try it for myself before heading out and the vibes are immaculate! I was expecting bubble tea, but their selections were impressive AND they had cream brulee - it was fantastic, giggly and tasty! I got a Creme Brulee Uji Match at half sweetness and it was amazing, very well made add the boba was very fresh. 10/10 recommend.
Favorite milk tea shop in Chapel Hill area. If you are looking for some authentic Asian milk tea, definitely check out Moge Tea. They have a big selection of drinks and use fresh ingredients for the drinks, which is way the price is slightly higher than some other places. The environment is also very cute — great for study or hanging out with friends. Some of my favs: Grapefruit Yakult, Orange Yakult (with white boba!), Taro Tofu pudding milk tea (must try!), Taro Mochi Bubble Milk Tea
Not only was the boba delicious, but the cute cups (perfect for photos) and aesthetic atmosphere of Moge Tee were perfect for a sunny fall afternoon. I tried their Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea, which came out with deliciously warm tapioca pearls and had a lot of flavor. My companions ordered the Strawberry Parfait, Strawberry Bubble Milk, and Purple Yam drinks, all of which tasted great (although it seemed like the flavor wasn’t distributed evenly in the latter two). Overall, would highly recommend!
So delicious! My wife and I visited tonight when there was less than half an hour until closing time, but we were received warmly and given lots of helpful recommendations by the staff (she told us which fruits were best to have in the tea right now, and which ones wouldn't be good this time of year). Service was extremely kind and professional. And now... the drinks! My wife's drink: black grape tea with a cheese cap and crunchy white boba, 70% sugar. Utterly blissful. The milk cap here is the best I've tasted across NC. I would fight in a thunderdome for this beverage. Made with real fruit, looked just as good as it tasted. My drink: hawaii bubble milk tea, 100% sugar. The lady behind the register recommended this, and told me it would taste like flowers. She was absolutely right. Delicate floral taste. The boba were chewy and perfect, though here's something you should know: not sweetened like they are at some other places. I'm not used to milk teas being refreshing, but this was. Would pair wonderfully with a sweet dessert without being overwhelming. Will definitely get again when I'm not feeling fruity! There are lots of bubble tea options on Franklin Street. I was skeptical when I saw this place opening its doors. Now I'm delighted it's here, and I can already tell you: the fruit drinks are going to be one of the things that makes this tea shop shine among the rest. I'm tempted to go back tomorrow for the mango tea (with cheese cap). It's just that good.
Decent for a quick beer grab
OK
They have a wide selection of drinks to choose from. I really like that they stay true to their sugar levels. Their boba is also soft and chewy which is good. The shop is super clean and the vibe is really chill. The brown sugar and milk teas are really good. The only downside is having to find parking unless you walk there.
I shouldn’t have to stand in line for a long period of time to buy two drinks.
Check expiration dates before purchasing anything.
Last year I went to that store and she had a nasty attitude with me I would never shop in that store she needs to be fired
Had a really bad experience today where I found out my bubble tea is too sweet at 50% sugar level. The guy was pretty rude and told me that’s how they make the drink. If I want 30% I will have to order another one. I would expect any bubble tea place to remake your drink if the customer is not satisfied with it. I am a bubble tea lover and this place is a no for me due to the terrible experience I had over there. The guy told me that’s their policy. If that’s true. I will rather go to the Moge tea in Durham because they will remake my drink without hesitation. Very disappointed.

Colonial Drug Company opened at 450 W. Franklin Street in 1951. The Chapel Hill Nine held a sit-down protest at the segregated lunch counter, touching off the first of many protests of the store's segregationist policies over the next four years.
