The food here is very good, especially the prime rib French dip. The waitress is very friendly and knowledgeable as well. So far so good!
Excellent location across from Millennium Park aka The Bean. Lunch or dinner, there is something for everyone. French dip was amazingly flavorful. Ribs were delicious and salad hit the spot. 😋
Great experience and delicious food! Our server Maria was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the food was delivered very quickly. My sister and I loved every item we ordered. Filet sliders and lobster deviled eggs are a MUST. 10/10 experience.
Had lunch here during the restaurant week. Great service, atmosphere and food! The wedge salad, oysters and deviled eggs were so good - better than what I remember from other restaurants. The salmon dish together with the broccoli was a bit too charred in my opinion but the taste was good. The carrot cake was served warm and it was so good that we literally said "wow" after taking a bite; but it was too sweet for me. Overall we were impressed by the experience!
wonderful find & beautifully designed. spacious yet private, good for dates or business meetings. food cooked to temperature, coursing well thought out by our server Kevin. we actually noticed it seemed he glided around the restaurant, swift but effective table touches. saturday night and our drinks came out in under 3 minutes so shoutout to the bartender. FULL SERVICE BAR! host team was welcoming and knowledgeable. will be back!
Food was spectacular! We dined closer to closing time and the service was still great. The Lobster Deviled Eggs didn't seem to have a lot of lobster in it. Just deviled eggs. Still delicious. The Tuna Poke was delicious. Do not skip the Spaetzle Mac and Cheese. One of the best takes on Mac and cheese I've ever had and it did not disappoint.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Remington's. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was exceptional. The prime rib hash for brunch was a highlight with perfectly poached eggs and lean prime rib. The steak salad impressed with deliciously seasoned and crust on the steak slices. The French dip and fish sandwich received high praise from both my mom and dad. Overall, a delightful dining experience with great food variety. Additionally, the attentive visit of the manager, who came by to check on us, added a nice personal touch to our dining experience at Remington's. It's always appreciated when the staff goes the extra mile to ensure guests are satisfied.
A great girls night out on Friday. Made reservations for 3 at 5:45 the day before and got a cozy booth in the bar near the impressive floor to ceiling wine racks. Not too noisy. Our server was fabulous. The food was outstanding. I like that you can go casual or dressy, and that there are several affordable options. We split several starters and dessert and each had the amazing corn chowder soup. An easy walk to the Auditorium Theatre, the Art Institute, Millennium Park, etc. Highly recommend the filet sliders!
Wow! Spectacular! We just had the most amazing lunch. The French dip was a gold medal winner, and this from someone who has eaten 100's of French dips! A simple Turkey burger with Asian slaw was extraordinary as well!! Chefs kiss!
!!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! Eddie S, our server was very professional, personable, and attentive. He gave us great as well as detailed meal recommendations, in which my meal, the Ahi Tuna Salad, was delicious. Atmosphere was very warm, peaceful, and clean. Food prepared with excellence, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. Great place to eat for the price point. Thank you to all the staff that helped us that day, it is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while
During a quick visit to Chicago, I stopped here for dinner, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re sightseeing around Millennium Park.
Food was stellar and service was good at the beginning but so slow at the end even when it wasn't busy.
Food was amazing. Salmon was to die for, broccolini was grilled to perfection, spinach dip was superb, and the service was absolutely excellent! If i could give them 10 stars, I would. I highly recommend this place, and will definitely return next time I'm in Chicago
Should get more attention, had an outstanding meal. Excellent entrees and carrot cake that is unrivaled. Friendly service, great location right on Mich Ave
Great location and the service was very good all smiles from the staff and extremely helpful and knowledgeable as well. So many good food options will have to go back and try others
We recently hosted a private bridal shower at The Remington Chicago through my business, Elite Luxury Events, and I also had the pleasure of attending as a guest. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. I arrived early to personally decorate the back area, which gave me the unique opportunity to see and work with the staff throughout the entire process—before, during, and after the event. The team at The Remington was nothing short of amazing. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to offer assistance, making the setup and event run smoothly. I want to give a special thank you to the general manager, who went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect and everyone felt taken care of. As both the planner and a guest, I got to experience every aspect of the afternoon firsthand, and I can honestly say I was 110% satisfied. The food was delicious, the ambiance was just right, and all of our guests raved about the entire experience. I highly recommend The Remington Chicago for any private event and would not hesitate to host another gathering here in the future. Thank you to the entire team for making our bridal shower truly unforgettable!
Excellent meal. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The charred broccoli is a hidden gem on the menu. The artichoke spinach dip and chips was a tasty appetizer. I also enjoyed the short rib rigatoni, but my wife only thought it was okay. That one has a unique taste that might not be for all. Would definitely visit again.
Kirk is a great server! Spinach and Artichoke dip was incredible. The prime rib was also extremely delicious.
Great food , prime rib was outstanding. Great location too. Destiny is a rockstar server ♥️
For the first night of my stay in Chicago, I was looking for a place to grab dinner that was within walking distance from Millennium Park and had great reviews, and that is how I found this place! Upon entering, the staff was attentive and guided my mom and me to our table (which faced the busy street with plenty of views for people to watch). The server served us water immediately, and we got our drink order in less than one minute. Given that the restaurant was not busy yet for dinner time, in less than 10 minutes, the dinner crowd started to pick up in this restaurant. The ambiance of this place was inviting and cozy. There were still Christmas decorations here and there in the restaurant, which added to the pleasant atmosphere of the place. I ordered a gimlet and their house burger, which was super delicious and juicy with the perfectly cooked burger meat (I ordered medium rare), and my mom ordered their fish of the day option. She also enjoyed her meal and finished everything except for the last bit of her fries. We ordered a skillet-baked cookie topped with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was the perfect dessert to end a delicious meal. My mom and I enjoyed our time here for dinner, and I highly recommend this place if you are ever in Chicago.
Had phenomenal service, food, and drinks. We came here for a work dinner and the server made sure everyone’s food was as desired. He even remade a drink that came out just a little off. Highly recommend the deviled eggs and pork chop.
Great place, friendly service and good food. Reasonably quiet, we enjoyed it.
Just had the most amazing meal here. Succulent scallops with a red pepper sauce and turnip mash. My hubby had a burger and I snagged some of his delicious crispy tasty fries. I highly recommend. The staff were wonderful and attentive.
My Family and me went to have Dinner this past weekend. We were welcomed at the front by a man who was very welcoming and showed us to our table. This was our first time there. Then our server Maria was super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
All the food was great. The espresso martinis were heavenly. The service is impeccable but the star of the show...... the lobster Deviled Eggs! I will stop anytime I'm nearby!!!
Remington’s was absolutely fantastic! My wife and I enjoyed our 5yr anniversary 🥂🤍here. January the Manager & our waiter Abraham were phenomenal. Definitely our new go to spot when in town!
Amazing experience, cheese burger was spectacular. Perfectly well done as requested. Tastes were amazing. Loved the coleslaw. Cozy ambience!
Came here for lunch on the Thursday of the Chicago Jazz Fest. We got in right after they opened so were able to be seated by the front window. Nice ambiance and a great view. Our server was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. This definitely added to the experience. We ordered: spinach and artichoke dip, lobster deviled eggs, side salad with blue cheese dressing, and a cheeseburger with fries. The spinach dip was excellent and the chips which came with it were freshly cooked. The lobster deviled eggs were the best deviled eggs any of us ever had. The blue cheese dressing was the best restaurant blue cheese we've had, as well - great flavor and texture. The burger was good, but nothing standout. The biggest surprise of the whole trip was the outstanding piece of cornbread which came with the salad. THE TOPS. Lots of flavor, moisture, and texture. We're planning on getting the whole skilet appetizer of it next time.
Maria was great! The food came out quickly and was very tasty. My husband said the ribs were cooked very well. Yummy purple rain cocktail. Get the lobster deviled eggs!
I’m not usually one to write reviews, but this place absolutely warrants it. We went for Christmas Eve dinner with family and had an outstanding experience. We were seated in a private room in the wine cellar, and the service from the host, server, and staff was excellent. Even as the last seating of the night, we never felt rushed. The Berkshire pork chops were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the portions and pricing are more than fair for a steakhouse of this caliber. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service—easily one of the top restaurants in Chicago and the Chicagoland area. Highly recommend.
We tried two of Remington’s most popular burgers in Chicago, and the overall experience was impressive. The place has a stylish, modern atmosphere that sets the tone as soon as you walk in. The burgers were genuinely delicious, made with high-quality ingredients and well-balanced portions. The service was also notably fast; everything arrived quickly and the staff was attentive and professional. Overall, a strong combination of ambiance, flavor, and efficiency.
Our experience at Remington’s was absolutely amazing! The ambiance was very calming and beautiful. The staff were so nice and sweet, from start to finish. Our server, Matthew, was AWESOME! He was so sweet, and made sure we weren’t missing anything, which we never did. He was also very accommodating. The wait time for our food and drinks wasn’t long at all. The crab cakes and loaded mashed potatoes were so perfect. Matthew even made it possible for me to have a birthday treat, which was the chocolate chip cookie skillet (sooo good!!). I will absolutely remember this restaurant the next time I’m in Chicago, and hope to come across Matthew again.
First time in Chicago, first visit at Remington's. Lovely atmosphere, great food, attentive and friendly staff. Visited on a Thursday at noon, no wait or reservation. Caught up with a friend I hadn't seen in years and we spent much time catching up in a quiet corner. We had appetizers, no main course. The brussel sprouts, potato croquettes, and spicy pork belly bites were all delicious. We had Irish coffees to warm us. Great food and the best company. I would definitely come back to try other items.
Not normally one to leave a review but had to in this case. Food was exquisite and the service from Jason was top notch, attentive without being overbearing and could see how he tailored his approach to different parties, dependent on whether they were there for a casual meal or a more formal dinner. Truly excellent.
Took my wife here on Valentine's Day. Didn't have a reservation but we didn't have to wait at all. The appetizer's, entrees, drinks and desserts all came out pretty quick, and it honestly wasnt too expensive considering how good it was and the location. My wife's prime rib sandwich was incredible, but the the 16oz Prime Rib I got was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Very nice and clean ambience inside, but even with all of that, the best part of this experience was our waitress, Janee. Super knowledgeable about the menu (recommended the chicken chilli soup, which was also delicious), very friendly/outgoing, quick to serve us and checked back often. Being younger, we are used to not getting great service (probably because people assume we won't tip well) but this was the best service we have ever had, by a mile. Loved this place and her so much. She needs a raise ASAP
Had a great dining experience her with my son. The service was great and the same with the food. The atmosphere was very relaxing and easy to have conversation. Would highly reccomend for a good steak and american fair.
I had such a wonderful experience at Remington’s. From the moment I walked in, everything felt thoughtful and well done. The atmosphere was inviting, the food was delicious, and the service tied it all together in the best way. Matthew took great care of us and made the evening even better. He was attentive without hovering, kind, and clearly takes pride in what he does. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Remington’s has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorites.
We had lunch at Remington’s and loved the experience. No reservation was needed, which made for a relaxed visit and some great people watching. The crab cake was outstanding, perfectly paired with crispy fries and fresh coleslaw. The remoulade was a thoughtful touch that tied everything together. Overall, I’d definitely return—solid 8/10.
Good food! First time at Remington’s and I’m a fan. Salmon was tasty and perfectly prepared, and the accompanying vegetables were nice as well. The spinach and artichoke dip was out of this world good. Nice staff, I’ll be back.
I've dined here quite a bit because of the proximity to The Palmer House Hilton. Good food. Good wine. Good customer service. Average large group customer service.
Went to tey the cheese burger and was disappointed as the burger and fries were salty. The atmosphere is great to meet friends and converse
Pre-concert dinner with my cousins was at Remington‘s. I’ve been to this restaurant once before for dinner. Our server was Darren, who was very attentive and friendly and went out of his way for me. We started with a round of cocktails and I asked Darren for a gold rush, which is a bees knees only with bourbon. Darren made it happen and it was perfect. My husband had an old-fashioned, actually two so it must’ve been a good cocktail. For dinner, my husband had the mahi mahi sandwich. A generous sandwich with perfectly cooked fish with a nice sear but still moist. It came with a side of shoestring fries. I had two appetizers as my dinner, the lobster deviled eggs and the tuna poke. The deviled eggs were creamy and delicious and had a little kick of heat. The tuna poke had the freshest tuna and the crispies wontons. Both dishes were delicious. It definitely would come here for appetizers and cocktails at the bar.
We went for Restaurant Week 2026 Lunch and will definitely return especially for Happy Hour. Our waiter and bartender was Santiago who was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, definitely added to our experience. The portions were generous and food was wonderfully prepared and delicious to eat. Remington's has wonderful open bar with a variety seating options including a table in a glass walled wine room!
The hubby took me to Remington’s for my birthday. The food was amazing, atmosphere great, and an overall great time. The only hiccup was service was slow, not the food, but the staff. We had to ask for simple things such as more barbecue sauce, drinks, several times. Overall a great experience. We will be back.
Went to Remington's for lunch and enjoyed the food. Ingredients tasted fresh and the serving was plenty. I had the Rotisserie Chicken sandwich with all the toppings and it was excellent. Good choice of Beers on draft and espresso martini 's here are also very good. Proces were very reasonable and services was excellent.
Start off, saying customer service at Remington's was phenomenal however, the food did not match.. I'd say I don't mind returning and trying something else on their menu as to say they did have a lot of majority food to pick from
Salmon was lovely although curious at to why it was so flattened. It came with cold cucumbers “smothered” in onions (not listed in the menu - I mention this only because I have a sensitivity to them so I could not eat the entire side items) I was clearly not very happy as it was uneaten and the server (who was very nice) did not inquire as to why but I also didn’t want to make a fuss so that’s on me. Trying to treat myself out and just left with a big bill and feeling put off by food. With the high rating in Chicago I just expected better. Overall I would not recommend.
I went at around 12:15 and the place was dead, despite that they would only let me sit at the bar or at the back of the restaurant (was also dead when I left), which made me feel unworthy. I ordered fillet mignon asparagus, I wanted creamed spinach and peppercorn sauce, but they no longer have this on the menu. Red flag. Steak was perfect, the potato that came with it was dry and tasteless, I had to ask for extra sour cream to make it palatable. The asparagus was awful, chewy and fibrous. The guy at the bar took it away and said he would remove it from the bill. With service, a non alcoholic beer and the asparagus removed I paid $69.69 - most disappointing.
Nice restaurant with a pleasant ambiance, but the service was unfortunately deplorable. Our waitress showed very little interest in assisting us, offering no smile and instead rolling her eyes at some of our questions about the menu. We ordered the lobster deviled eggs, filet mignon, and salmon. The appetizer was very good and the salmon was delicious. However, the steak arrived on a cafeteria-style plate with no plating effort whatsoever for a high‑end restaurant. The edges of the steak were burned, so we asked to return it. After some initial pushback, the “chef” agreed and offered a replacement. At that point, we decided to leave and ended up enjoying an excellent filet mignon at Michael Jordan’s Steak House instead. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
I had a very poor experience. Our waiter Abraham had very little interest in us and only checked in to take away dishes. I ordered a medium rare prime rib and it came out well done. I could barely get my fork through my steak. My friend also ordered the short rib fettuccine and there was a hair on the side of the bowl. They also didn't bother to ask if we were done eating, and someone else had to check in to ask how the food was and bring us the bill.
