The burger, the legend, the myth of the massive fried cheddar cheeseburger! Nobbys! This place is a local treasure and is not to be missed. I discovered this joint 20 years ago, and try to make it there at least once per year. They receive my highest rating, 5/5 golden onion rings.

Nobby's is definitely ranked Top 3 when it comes to dishing out delicious burgers here in Chico! Their unique cheese skirt is to die for. As much as I love their burgers, their philly cheesesteak is also phenomenal! I also like that when it comes to french fries they give you the amount you paid for. Can't wait to eat here again!

This place is one of the best burger places in town. I ordered the mushroom Jack burger. It was awesome!! the bun and cheese, and the produce were all perfect…giant large basket of fries. The establishment itself is small but typical for a burglar spot. I wanted to leave a different type of review and mention how clean the restroom outside of the burger place was...you ask for a key and it was clean, nice and well kept. Definitely wasn’t expecting that which was nice because there’s nothing like going back into the restaurant with no appetite because of a dirty restroom. Lol anyway, I ate lunch on the back patio, which was nice.. highly recommended.

I was told by many people that if we are visiting Chico, CA, we MUST eat at Nobby's. At let me tell you, they are RIGHT. It wait was minimal, the people were friendly, the back patio was clean and organized, and the food was... Amazing! It was greasy, soft, crunchy, flavorful, enormous, and delicious. I'd recommend Nobby's to anyone looking for a great burger.

Food is great, staff is always friendly. I just wish they had more space when it's busy it quickly becomes very crowded, especially if your eating at one of the tables you'll have people standing and talking a foot away from your food. Definitely makes for a uncomfortable experience.

Love the cheese skirt! Buns are really good and hold everything together without getting soggy. The quality of beef isn't great otherwise it would be perfect.

Food is great. I ordered the cheese steak sandwich. I would absolutely try again but order a burger next time. Staff was on point, courteous, and as fast as possible. They do good work. Only complaint is they could use more seating but sometimes you gotta work with what you've got and they do a tremendous job.

A small location in Chico California. It's the first time I visited the place they had outside seating and indoor seating. This reminds me of a place in Sacramento California called squeeze inn where they are known for their cheese skirts.. things on the menu appeared to be costly but it appears to be a great location for many people because there were lines of people coming in.

Still a good burger yet it seems somethings changed and doesn't have that wow factor to stand above the rest. Normally outstanding, maybe just and off day.

This place was recommended by a Chico native and it was certainly an experience. The cheese skirt is a unique and tasty idea, but the meat left everything to be desired. It was over cooked and barely there, reminiscent of chopped beef, but it was supposed to be a patty. Two items in our order were wrong, but everyone was nice. We sat outside and the benches could use a good wash down every couple days, but seem to be forgotten when the cleaning happens. It’s worth the one time experience, but it’s not my favorite burger in town.

"Nobby's...home of the Famous Cheese Skirt". As much as I enjoy a cheese skirt, and a good burger, that's about it for this eatery. My wife and I went for lunch on a Friday and found out to be pleasantly slow, so we ordered, sat down, and waited. From the menu, we both chose the Nobby burger with cheese, an order of onion rings, and an order of deep-fried mushrooms, with 2 cans of Coke. After about 10 minutes our order was brought to our table, and we proceeded to take stock of what arrived. The burgers were very good with the oversized cheese skirt... but it was the other items that were of discussion. #1... we received 6 (six!!) onion rings on our order for $4.99. A paltry amount for the money spent. #2...a single side of Ranch dressing cost EXTRA to receive and dip our rings, which is usually a free accompaniment with onion rings anywhere. #3... the onion rings were apparently fried in the SAME oil as the Jalepeno poppers, giving them a spicy kick. Not a bad thing, but my wife can't eat peppers of any kind, so it was a little cross-contamination that caused an upset stomach for her. #4...the sodas are pricey per can, so be prepared to either ration your soda, or shell out extra for another drink. The BEST part of the meal, you ask!? The CHEESE SKIRT, of course. Flavorful, cooked to perfection on the burger, and really the only reason to go. If Nobby's sold cheese skirts alone... I'd order 4 and call it a meal. Next time, just a burger for me.
