Stopped at the shopping complex to charge my car and stopped in here for a bite to eat. What a great neighborhood American pub! The food was fantastic and really hit the spot. Service was incredibly friendly and really welcoming. My wife is a super picky eater and she loved the food too, so that was a huge win for me!
Went here for the first time recently. Very friendly cozy great food. I had the fish and chips and it was excellent.
Very clean establishment, always welcomed with a smile. For pub food it really is some of the best out there, I’m surprised I paid so much less for a burger compared to most places that charge more and I feel less satisfied but this food was amazing! Great selection of beers, one of my favorite breweries in Fresno.
Busy bar with great food. I love the shrimp stuffed baguette. Craft beers are available. Our waitress was fast and efficient. It was busy so we didn't sit longer than the meal.
Our family loves the OG Mad Duck and we go about once every two weeks for a little family outting. The food is always on point and very satisfying. My husband loves that they use their own beer to fry the fish in for the fish & chips meal. He said he really tastes the ale, and that is hard to find. My son and I usually get burgers, which never disappoint. They have amazing white meat turkey patties to sub for ground beef, if you're like me and can't eat beef. My youngest daughter is in love with their curly fries and, I would say, we always leave there with smiles on our faces.
This is my go to with my daughter and my sister. Quaint atmosphere, always great service and awesome food. Specials weekly, including unique drinks.
Was able to accommodate over 20 of us with smiling faces. The staff was attentive and helpful. Food was great. Will go back and recommend for all.
The menu was slightly changed recently along with adding some new fun plating options. I always have a pleasant experience here! The food is great and the variety of burgers on the menu hit the flavor mark everytime. The staff is very attentive and never leaves you wondering when your side of ranch is coming out.
Just went in for the first time after the remodel. Bigger high top tables, with purse hooks! (They do take suggestions.) Slightly different decor, but still the same beautiful neighborhood pub. Super glad they are open again.
The food and the service here are excellent. I went to have lunch with my sister and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I’ll be going back soon!
The food is always good and the beer selection always has something you will like and enjoy.
I love mad duck at Willow/ and Herndon Everyone there that serves are polite and friendly and I love mohasic
Had a great experience overall. Ended up coming here a few times for lunch while I was in town for a swim meet. Pretty reasonably priced for the quality of food. The beer was great as well. Definitely recommend rolling through here and enjoying a few with some food.
We came in right before the kitchen closed and the staff were more than willing to accommodate us. They got our food out quickly and it was delicious. We had the sweet potato garlic fries, Buffalo dip, and two types of fish tacos. Everything was delicious and our server was lovely. We left after closing. We were on the patio and the bar tender was really cool about letting us finish without feeling the need to rush us out. They did their thing inside while we wrapped up. We appreciated them and would definitely come back.
Love this place! I have since they've opened. Amazing food, service and atmosphere, and, of course, BEER!
Great food and service! Very clean place also!
Went on a Saturday afternoon and were able to get a table right away. The server was very friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Lots of light if you're sitting inside and a small patio area. I ordered a Backyard Burger with curly fries. The barbecue sauce was not overly sweet so it didn't overpower the other toppings. It's a little tall so expect to use a few napkins. Fries came out pipint hot and were nice and crisp, not soggy or burned. I would be happy to go again and explore the menu - and try some of their craft beer.
First time getting the pulled pork sliders and they’re delicious! The baguette is perfect for this cold weather! I would definitely recommend this place! The drinks, food, and ambience are amazing!
We are glad to finally make it to The Mad Duck. Such a casual spot for lunch and beer. Chris provided excellent service and made sure we felt welcomed. They have a great beer selection and the food is so good! The fried pickles are a must! We look forward adding The Mad Duck to our favorite list. They will also have a st. Patrick’s Day food menu from 3/11-3/17.
Excellent food with lots of flavor. Great place to meet up for a drink and dinner. Prices are reasonable. The locations is great. And there is a decent amount of room inside. Definitely worth checking out.
Good food and beers. good service. Very nice atmosphere. Best turkey burger I've ever had for those turkey burger lovers. However I highly recommend the steakhouse burger!
Amazing! Large selection of modern bar food, great drink selection and fantastic service. If we lived nearby we'd be here at least once a week.
The Gilboy was honestly the best burger I've ever had! My husband loved his burger too. I got the tots and he got the curly fries... Both were good. Service was on point... Seriously-go here! Yumm
Always great food, great beer, and mixed drinks. Service is great, never have had to wait, food is served timely, and they refill drinks! Portion sizes of food are large, not large enough that I’d want to share, but I can’t ever finish all the food served. The pretzel in the picture was really good.
I always get the chicken or steak salad. Sometimes the beef is tough but you can't go wrong with the chicken. They even let you substitute grilled for breaded. Delicious. Can get packed at night but they also have outdoor seating.
Perfect day to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Service was great food even better. Tater tots were super salty. When I told my server she made it right.
I received a gift card to Mad Duck and so thankful I was able to try it. We enjoyed it so much. Our waitress was a sweetheart, honest, and very helpful...especially since it was our first time. We had the steak tacos and the shrimp with the French bread....omg! It was good....and so reasonably priced. The large sized tacos with chunks of quality steak for $13. The french bread stuffed was shrimp was my favorite. I wish I could have had more. Happy hour is a great deal. We ordered talls and food apps were about $4. Portions are not small here; therefore, good spot for sharing..
The best burgers ever!! If I am craving a burger, this is the place

Great service, fun relaxing vibe. Food was delish, great recommendation from my server with my drink.
This was hands down the best food I’ve had in a very long time ! I really can’t describe how good it was !! And the drinks were absolutely delicious ! Highly highly highly recommend!
Absolutely delicious! We were in town for a track meet and decided to stop here to eat before heading home. The food was delicious the service was great. It was loud inside but sunny outside so we dined on their patio. The servers were very nice and attentive.

Better than I expected. We went there a few years back and the food was awful. We planned on never coming back, but people kept giving us gift cards to here like some sick joke. We couldn't even regift the cards, because we felt guilty for giving them to a place with such awful food. But, we went last night and the food was solid. We ordered the fries, pork sliders, loaded tots, buffalo chicken dip, and pretzel. Fries excellent. Pork sliders just okay, needed salt, then they were pretty good. Loaded tots were maybe the favorite of the evening. The pretzel never came out. Not sure we'd choose Mad Duck over the many food options in Fresno, but it was solid. More of a drinking place, but we're eaters not drinkers. You'll probably like it.
More of a 3 1/2. Food is amazing. Their sauces are delicious. The sweet potato fries are absolute perfection. The ONLY flaw is that service can be slow. The wait staff is wonderful, but they're so busy that it takes a while for them to be able to get to you.
Good beer selection, decent (if somewhat predictable) food and good atmosphere. The tater tots here might be the best I've ever had, the fish and chips was fine and the deviled eggs were really good. There was some sort of spicy shrimp roll that was also pretty good (a little too much bread, though). I was definitely surprised at how good the beer selection was, and they change it up a lot. Always ask, though, because sometimes there's a beer listed on the chalkboard that isn't actually available that day. Service can be a little slow sometimes, but it is friendly. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Fresno to visit family.
The food here is alright, it’s good, but nothing out of the ordinary. It’s a nice place to go that accommodates picky eaters as the menu is quite simple, with a good amount of variety. We came when it was quite busy and our server was wonderful, but busy. I had the beet salad and have had the burgers before, it was all good. I would come again for a simple meal with friends.
Great food, but very crowded, had to wait awhile to be seated or even acknowledged. Then got seated at a high -stool table with my elderly mother. We were offered to wait for a booth but we didn't have time. Then had to flag down the waitress multiple times for a refill, the check, to pay...it was disappointing service but the food was worth it, so good 👍 😋 I had the Gilroy burger with broccoli salad and my mom loves their fish and chips.
my husband’s smashed burger special excellent . My entree mango grilled fish tacos we’re flavorless i was shocked . awful . and the tortillas cold like out of a package. Would never get them again . overpriced for zero flavor . But service was excellent !! Will try again and order something different
Decent food. Cool idea having their own beer. The bartender should not be a waitress as well. Between socializing at the bar and maintaining customers around it, stood for a very long wait time even during slow hours
I have come here twice within the past month and a half and have been impressed with the service. Today, when I visited, the table at the booth I was going to sit at had what looked like animal hair on it, and when I asked for it to be cleaned, it was cleaned right away. The food was delicious, though the tater tots have been cold each time I visited.
The cheeseburger and salad were very delicious. The service was very confusing as it seemed as though I had two different servers, which is really only concerning as far as tipping not service. They only serve locally brewed beers, I tried the IPA Brew. It was not my favorite as it was very bitter. Probably wouldn't go again:(

I was shocked at the rating of this restaurant location as I placed my order. I felt it was unfair as i've had many 5 star experiences here in the past. But after today I clearly see what the problem is and what makes it a 3 star place: Inconsistency. Today's meal was so offensively inconsiderate that i've actually come to change my review from 5 stars to join the many 3's. Which is much more accurate. The burger patties were well overcooked despite the specific request, my favorite burger was carelessly assembled, the cheese completely unmelted on both burgers, and the curly fries were woefully stale/staged. There must a good chef in there based on past experiences, but whoever was working today was so miserable that I feel the only way of getting back at him robbing me of my money, spoiling my appetite, and ruining my palette for my favorite item, is to lower my review. Today's insult as a standalone experience is worth 1 star, but due to past experiences i'll average it out to 3. I'll travel further to one of the other locations if I ever feel daring enough to give The Mad Duck another try.

When we walked in the waiter looked like we were a inconvenience to ihim was not polite never asked if we needed anything eles to drink how was our food nothing never saw him after getting food had to ask other water to get us to go boss and had to flag him down for bill I will never go back!
Staff was nice enough. 3 people assisted us during the course of our meal. Ordered a buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer. It was delivered to our table after our meal had been delivered. Had very little buffalo sauce in the dip and was cold upon being delivered. Although they did remove it from our bill, it would not be ordered again. Main course food was flavorless, the au jus tasted like it was from a can as it was very salty, the French dip was mediocre, the steak house burger was not seasoned and very mushy. The patty of the burger was a 1/4 lb patty, granted the menu did not specify. Not worth $20 for the burger. Ordered seasoned fries and they barely had even salt. Overall not impressed and likely won't return. Main takeaways: the staff was nice enough.
The food and service is pretty garbage. I ordered a burger they dont even ask you how you want it cooked. Even after the food comes out. Not once was I asked how was your food. Even at the end of the meal they dont even ask you how anything was. If I wanted an overcooked patty I would have just gone to Wendy's or burger king or even McDonald's. Keep in mind this is all happening when it's not even busy. Not sure how you can screw and food service up. Anyways would not recommend.
This place used to be great. A little pricey, but, always got good food with good portions. Now it's still a bit pricey, but, it looks like the chicken breast for the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich we ordered was literally cut in half and the salad was brown and wilted. Disappointing considering the quality and quantity used to be excellent. About a year ago we were disappointed by them and said we wouldn't go back. Today we decided to give them another chance. Strike 2 your out. Won't be going back.
