Nations is a special place for me. When I was a kid in the early 80's, Mom would take me there as a treat. I remember how big those burgers were. So many food items have shrunk over the years, but I still have a hard time getting that burger in my mouth!

I like the diner style of this nations. Not all of them have such lovely interiors. Food takes awhile to come out and is more than fast food prices, so expect a wait. I love their breakfast the most.

The building had some what recently been demolished and rebuilt. The help staff at the front was very nice. Greeted me immediately. The rebuild on the building is very comfortable. The old Nations was rough. This new Nations is clean, bright, cheerful and pleasant. Love this Nations

It's been many, many years since I've been back in the area and I knew I had to see if Nation's was as good as what I remember. OMG...these are the best burgers and the quality and taste that I remember. Way better than IN-n-Out. Yes, you have to wait for your order but it's because they don't put the burger on the grill until you've actually ordered it. This in not fast food. The lettuce, onion and tomatoes were perfectly fresh. This is the burger I remember from my youth and is still the best I've ever had. Thank you Nation's for keeping up the same standard and quality as I remember.

I love the new look of the Nations. Cristina, my cashier was very kind and friendly. She didn’t interrupt me when I was trying to recall my family’s weekly Nation’s order (I definitely should know by now). I’ve always preferred this Nations and my family has been coming here for as long as I can remember. Even though the prices are a little higher, I still feel like it’s the most worth it for size, taste, quality, and consistent in the Bay Area. Tip for Nation lovers: They have very good deals if you sign up with your phone number.

I have been coming here over the years and always have been given the best of service. The staff are exceptional and make you feel like your walking into your hometown local everyday diner. This location is always clean never any riff raff loitering. Beyond the cleanliness and 5STAR Customer Service the food is always better than any other nations I have ever been to over the 35 years I have been as a customer of nations. I recently visited another location not far from this one and was appalled by the service in pleasant Hill. Maybe the staff management at this place should train the other places to be like this location

I love the new patty melt!!!! Absolutely delicious. Key lime pie is new and fantastic although you can never go wrong with cheesecake or banana cream! I also tried the chicken (haven’t had it in a long time) and it was juicy! I will be back for breakfast!

This location is my favorite because it’s very clean and has great customer service, however I’m only giving it 4 stars due to their tendency to mix up orders late at night near closing time. Once I made it home, they were closed and I was stuck with a BLT instead of the burger combo I ordered. Nations Giant specializes in old fashioned burgers and breakfast freshly prepared on the grill behind the counter. They also specialize in some of the best pies that you can order whole or in slices. Prices are good for the quality you get. This is a hidden gem you must try if you live outside the area. This location closes daily at 11pm however the Pleasant Hill location is open until 2am.

I just picked up an order. As a family of 4 we get 2 hearty breakfasts and 2 sides (sausage and bacon) and share the meal. when I got home, I found that whereas I had 3 boxes (2 sides in 1 box, and 1 meal in each other box) the hearty breakfast with sausage had no meat. and the box with the sides had the regular sides. this is frustrating. Accidents do happen, but when I called the store, there's no way to reach anyone to discuss the mistake. With me, I don't look for anything like a refund or going back to the store. It's just calling to talk to someone to discuss the mistake. Leaving a message on a voicemail box which is corporate (it asks you to leave the information for the store you were at) is not a great experience.

One of my guilty pleasures is the bacon cheeseburger. The bacon is thick, tasty and plentiful. The burger patty is large and the veggies are fresh and crisp. The updated restaurant is open and clean. The only drawback is the price. Be prepared to drop about $30 for 2 people even though we shared a fry order and a drink. It's over $40 if you each indulge in a tasty milkshake or piece of pie.

Got the 2-Egger Breakfast which came out great with eggs sunnyside up, sausages, and sourdough toast. Family friendly setting. At around 10 am, they were putting out fresh pies on display. Really tempting!

Ther wasn't a long wait in line to order. I liked that they still had breakfast at after 12 noon. I really wanted breakfast. You made your order, paid and got a receipt with a number. Once your food is ready, they call your number and you go get it. Nice place. The staff could smile a little more though. Otherwise they seem efficient.

Since burgers are not cooked to temp, I suggest ordering the patty melt. I added green chile and pickles for more goodness. Yum.

The bacon cheeseburger is good. The onion rings are okay. The french fries are subpar. I don't know if it's the oil they use or the frequency that it is changed out. I don't think there is a place I have ever been to where I have not liked the fries except for Nations. Their milkshakes are also not great. Everyone likes their pies. It depends on who is helping you on whether or not you have good or above average service. I've only had one bad experience at this location. I didn't review it because I no longer see that person working there anymore. I would give five stars but it really depends on who is helping you. The wait to order and pick up is not bad considering they are making our food fresh. I don't mind waiting 15 or more minutes for a fresh burger versus a microwaved one.

A brand new Nation's giant burger shop rebuilt on the legacy decades old one. This shop remind me of how people want the refresh to old goodies. Needless to say the cleanliness welcome the guest. The quality of food has been always great, perhaps the price has been added up due to new construction cost. A breakfast meal and a coffee cost more than a minimum wage distance many people to the regular visit. My favorite is the variety of pies selection that starts a beautiful day.

I've been eating Nation's since I can remember. I've been to many locations and not all are equal. This location unfortunately has some serious flaws. I usually eat there at night and have come back numerous times in effort to witness them correct the problems. I'm not sure if they're under staffed, poor management or something else. Regardless I won't come back. Every time I come here half the dining room is barricaded so they don't have to clean the same area twice. Problem is they don't clean the side that's open. The trash cans are full and piled high with plates and silverware, mixed in with foul smelling wrappers. There's full garbage bags just outside the door, 20 steps from the dumpster. The fountain machine and counter space is usually covered in soda. Don't get me started on the drain underneath. All of the tables were dirty just like the picture I've uploaded. If you value sanitary eating conditions or lose your appetite from the smell of wet garbage you might want to eat somewhere else.

Waste of money & time eating here. Breakfast is lackluster at best. Dry pancakes, barely cooked hash browns. Unacceptable. Employees give off the feeling of a total lack of care. Zero sense of urgency filling orders. The only bright spot to this restaurant chain now are the pies.

Hire more workers you cheap owners! You can do better. Had an hour to kill and wanted to eat inside. Only one couple in line before us. Took over 30 minutes to get our order of eggs and bacon. Had to get it to go. Watching the operation its obvious Doordash takes priority over in person customers.

I honestly don’t even know how this place is in business!!! The food was disgusting and the pancakes literally tasted like dirty water!!! The don’t even listen to you when you are ordering. Attitude like you owe them!! Just simply sad and bad all the way around.

Workers have absolutely bad customer service. I went up to the pick up spot and was noticed by a worker and didn’t ask me anything and goes to the back while the other 2 workers are packing and cooking food. I had to say excuse me multiple times for me to still get ignored and once the lady packing up food turned around she didn’t ask me anything, she only talked to me because I gave her my name for an online order just for her to not care and go back to packing food. Multiple people placed a dine in order while was completely ignored for 15 minutes until I got in the dine in line just for my food to be ready and sitting on their counter. Completely unprofessional from the workers to just ignore a paying customer. Will never be coming here again until things are changed.
