Everything was absolutely spot on from the host to the servers to the food. We had a large party in a private room and were treated like royalty. Thank for you a spectacular dining experience. These two photos should explain it all.
Very very good food. We enjoyed our fantastic dinner. Everything was delicious and the team was very kind. Thank you.
Best place in Coral Gables. Love the atmosphere. Have a drink at the bar 1st. Servers are great. Food is soooo good. Portions are great as well as quality.
I have been here several times and the food and services is always amazing. Great atmosphere too. True Italian cosine. The sea bass is my favorite. On the weekends gets crowded and you need reservations. There is valet parking or you can park on the streets and have a nice walk to the restaurant. It’s on the expensive side, but it worth the money. I will keep coming back
This is a classic Italian restaurant. The ambiance is very nice. They have a decent selection of wine. I picked the off the menu chicken parmigiana which was fantastic. All of our party were happy with their entrees. Went in May 2019 and hope to be back again soon.
Best Italian in Gables. Classic ambience, old fashioned, delicious food, amazing service. Valet $8, but there is a parking lot right there or you can park in front Books and Books, at the Public parking and have a nice walk.
Not only is the food delicious, but the service is truly an unforgettable experience. Our waiter overheard that my friend left his glasses at home and brought a pair on a tray for him to look at the menu with. It was a simple gesture that stood out from any restaurant I have been to thus far. When the manager is in he makes his way around to each table greeting everyone. A lot of locals come to this restaurant and many have been coming here for years, that alone shows a lot about how good this restaurant is.
Traditional Italian restaurant that has been in Coral Gables since I remember at least 26 years. Love the pasta and fish , its a charming cozy restaurant, with old style waiters that know how to serve a fine dine table. I will definitely keep coming back.
One of the best restaurants of Coral Gables
Old world Italian with a New York charm. Food was amazing. Service was great. Just a wonderful evening
One of the best restaurant it’s been 30+ years I have visit this restaurant. The food is great and the staff is super friendly Impeccable services
Stooped by for late lunch without reservation and we're immediately seated. We then had a relaxing lunch with no rush and my wife was able to have her gluten free dishes. I went with a glass of chianti after given a taste but I should have stuck with my standard Cab. grin..I had the linguini with claims and got gluten free paste so to share with wife. To my surprise two plates were brought already split. It was delicious and even split left mecwith ample portion. NOTE: Make sure you save last hot and crispy roll to sop up remaining sauce. Service was great in all respects. I also got a kick on seeing some of their older gentlemen guests sitting outside with their wine and cigars. Gotta brush up on my Espanol. Sorry I got so tied up eating, I forgot pics of dishes but drank a salute to you heath.
absolutely delicious—authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend!
It’s always a wonderful experience at Cafe Abbracci’s. The food and the service is always amazing.
We have the opportunity to share an exquisitely plate. The pasta is great. Excellent waiter service. The place very clean. Nice experience and good time at the Caffe Abbracci!
I love their seafood linguini and their delicious bread...seriously for me is addictive!! Oh...and their mozzarella caprese salad...omg! Any plate that you take from the menu is so fresh...and the suspended crystal lamps inside are gorgeous. All the staff is so cordial and they make to feel you as a family member. My favorite drink at the end is a strong and sweet Amaretto. I recommended this place a 100%
The best Italian Restaurant in Miami and the best waiter Mr. Eduardo Gutierrez, I really come back...
I read this quote and it reminded me, of what I feel when I go to Caffe Abbracci. It's just Great Food that makes you feel at home. With Great service. "That is why he has been doing business for the last 30 years". Quote: A great restaurant is one that just makes you feel like you're not sure whether you went out or you came home and confuses you. If it can do both of those things at the same time, you're hooked." Danny Meyer
Great food, great service. A hidden Gem in Coral Gables area. I will definitely be going back because the attention to detail was simply fantastic!!!
Delicious and very cozy. Nice place to share with your couple. It’s expensive like almost all the italian restaurants in South Florida. (I really don’t know why but that is a fact)
Café Abbracci is an outstanding restaurant in every sense. The dishes are amazing, full of flavor and perfectly presented. The place is spotless, beautifully set up, and includes a great bar with a solid wine selection. Portions are generous, and the overall atmosphere feels both refined and welcoming. But what truly stands out is the service, attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. It elevates the entire dining experience and makes every visit feel special. A true Coral Gables classic that never disappoints.
We went for Thanksgiving and my birthday. The food was excellent.
Really exceptional dining experience. The service was almost psychic. Very professional and charming wait staff. Delicious food. Everything we had was on point. I highly recommend this quality and authentic Italian gem.
ABBRACCI is an old-school Italian restaurant with classic cuisine served by professionals. Our meals were outstanding. The dinning experience reminded me of a few of my favorite Italian Restaurants in South Philly and Manhattan. Revisited in March 2024, and the cafe remains a fun dinning experience.
This is an amazing place to experience Italian gourmet cuisine. They have amazing creations and remain faithful to the Italian tradition. We have a serious garlic allergy and as a restaurant that cooks from scratch they had no problem to accommodate! Beautiful dishes and complex mixtures, like lobster black ravioli or pasta filled with pecorino cheese and pears. They have a great list of wines and drinks. The cosmopolitan and dry martini are excellent!
Johnny was an excellent waiter, friendly, attentive and on top of everything. He really made our night enjoyable.
This restaurant is simply outstanding. My husband goes there often, and now I completely understand why it’s his go-to spot. Today we tried an exquisite grouper carpaccio that wasn’t even on the menu, a juicy and flavorful swordfish with mango, and some fried calamari with zucchini that were absolutely delicious. Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff has been there for years, and their service is warm, friendly, and consistently impeccable. Without a doubt, it’s a place you’ll always want to come back to.
Amazing menu with quality tasty authentic Italian food. Don't let the expensive cars in front deter you. Great prices for quality food and outstanding service.
Food was amazing. Service was impeccable atmosphere was very nice. A++
We had such a great night and our walter was alejandro he was fantastic a perfect addition to a perfect evening
I'll be back. Svc. They waited for my guests to finish their conversation before beginning. I dropped my napkin. They delivered a new one and picked up the other one before I even missed it. Great acoustics. Able to carry on a conversation even though the restaurant was almost full.
it's like time travel. you never get this kind of attention to detail anymore. we were treated like royalty. Charming friendly and warm without hovering yet always ready. food came out with perfect timing hot and delicious on a busy Friday night. We have been conditioned to not expect this level of personal attention anymore but it still exists in Caffe Abracci
This is an amazing old school traditional Italian restaurant with the most delicious homemade food! I always go for their lasagna that is scrumptious! It has the perfect ratio of pasta to very tasty meat sauce to cheese. Its truly my favorite place to have lasagna. Their table bread is always warm and fresh. The calamari as an appetizer is amazing too. And what is special is that the food doesn’t have msg. The waiters are so attentive and kind. Love Love Love!
The food and service is top notch! Loved the setting and lighting. Feels like old Miami in all of the best ways. Highly recommend :)
Don’t go for the sake of nostalgia. Go for the exquisite food and unparalleled service. When my husband and I were in the mood for fresh, authentic pasta we scoured, the Internet and social media for recommendations. While we discussed the many wonderful restaurants to choose from in Miami, I recalled Cafe Abbracci as my fsmily’s go to restaurant for special occasions. We took a chance that the restaurant would be the same magnificence 30 years later. You know what? It was incredible. My husband’s first dining experience now brings Cafe Abbracci back into my life. This will be our go to special place for Italian. From the burrata and prosciutto, to a pasta course of Carbonara and lasagna, to the veal shank cooked to PERFECTION…this place makes northern Italian fare fine dining. Make sure to talk to your server…he’s probably been there since my Principal Honor Roll dinner in 1987. Thank you Cafe Abbracci.
Share a Special event tonight my son in laws birthday celebration. The food was hot and fresh and Specular. The lobster ravioli is to die for, Cesar salad was very fresh. And wine and hot rolls with butter was like the end of time. Alex our server was great , friendly and very personable. This will our family’s choice for all our Special times to share together.
It is really hard to find great food in such a touristy city as Miami. However, Caffe Abbracci is an exception; the food here is absolutely AMAZING!!! The service is great, no wonder it's a MUST-HAVE and truly lives up to its fame. Ask for Johgly, he's service was like attentive and the recommendations were the best.
A great Italian place in Coral Gables. Food was impecable (lamb chops), and service was even better. Made us feel welcomed and went out of his way to accommodate all of our requests (even went outside to another place to buy cigars for our after lunch chat). Truly recommend!!!
Went here after we ditched our 2.5 hour reservation at Hillstone (no restaurant is good enough to wait that long). I enjoyed the fried calamari and their very fresh hot out-of-the-oven dinner rolls (my favorite so far from all restaurant-served breads). My sister’s boyfriend really enjoyed his Parmesan chicken and my sister regrettably didn’t get to enjoy her lobster ravioli since a miscommunication of sharing dishes led her to order a simple pasta dish instead. I enjoyed my sea bass although I wish the portions were bigger and my mom had her usual seafood pasta. Dessert was a disappointment for me since I was recommended to order the ice cream. The description seemed fun but it ended up being was vanilla- chocolate ice cream with a cherry center dipped in a chocolate shell. It was visually pleasing but the ice cream was not that great. Publix had smoother ice cream than this. Waitstaff was good and seating was only ok (due to the pandemic, many restaurants have seating on the sidewalk but I don’t enjoy eating next to valet parked cars and their corresponding car fumes. My sister ordered the nonna cake which ended up being similar to a key lime pie. She and her boyfriend enjoyed the tart dessert. Over all it was a pleasant experience. Might come back to try those lobster raviolis next time. By the way, they take reservations, that is how we were able to get seated within the 15 minutes it took to walk there from Hillstone.
1. Wonderful Italian Food. service is a little bit slow, but it is good for the family event or a date. 2. Valet parking is $8 or you can choose street parking. 3. Casual dressing is ok. But mostly people dress up a little bit to eat here. 4. Their seafood pasta and mozzarella carpe is awesome! 5. Try to ask their daily special, usually is great for the first timer.
Delicious lunch at Cafe Abbracci. This restaurant has more than 20 years! There is a reason why.. very good pasta and helpful servers! The black ink lobster ravioli were delicious!!
Medium Rare Fillet Mignon cooked perfectly. The seafood sampler appetizer was delicious. Classical environment, very interesting men's restroom, design-wise
I have been to this Italian restaurant several times over the years. Both before and after Nino Pernetti , may he rest in peace🙏 Opened in 1989 it developed into an institution among the culinary scene of Coral Gables and Miami and it certainly has its faithful clientele. Our group went on a Thursday evening to celebrate a bday. We were seated at a table in the main dining room . Unfortunately the team taking care of us was rather semi- attentive , not very friendly and didn't make us really feel welcome. When asked for the beer selection the waiter mentioned Coors Light. They didn't have it after all. We ordered more rolls and received the Italian bread sticks instead. Asked for rolls again and finally got them. To be honest we had a constant tap water supply. All the dishes tasted good but weren't exceptional. Bc of the bday we got a Napoleon dessert on the house. Nice touch. We payed and nobody really cared when we left the place. Overall the dinning experience was rather average. People expect more for the high prices they have to pay. In my opinion the restaurant is very old school and in need of an up-grade. The staff could be more friendly. Valet parking is 15 $
We went with a big group and they coordinated well. Pasta was solid. Burrata was awesome. Good bread. Fried cheese was on point.
The restaurant was extremely small but comfortable. The staff was attentive but slow to take orders and follow up. Overran the food was 3/5, and service was 3/5. While seated, there was a strong smell of tobacco coming from the kitchen area. I'm unsure if this was a smoke area, but didn’t sit very well with our dinner.
This place is more like a club, traditional customers who always come here, if you are expecting excellent food and excellent service this is not the place to try
Last night I went to one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as it used to be. I was told that the original chef was not cooking the food. There's a new chef from Italy that is making changes to the menu and from I have been hearing from other customers and my own experience the food is not up to par. I have been to Italy and the food that this cook (He's not a chef) is making is not even close to the food I ate there. This cook needs to go back and learn real Italian cuisine. Please bring the original chef back or this restaurant is going to decline. Nino would be so disappointed with this decision. I will never go back unless this cook is gone.
Abbracci: Tradition That’s Lost Its Touch Abbracci has long been a Coral Gables institution, but our recent Friday night visit left us wondering why. The restaurant’s layout feels like a patchwork of windowless rooms, each decorated in its own dated, dissonant style—our section cluttered with oddly lighted vintage glass. The space was crowded, noisy, and uncomfortably cold with the AC blasting, despite being packed with diners. Even the restrooms could use a serious refresh. We started with wine and cocktails, but pours were skimpy and drinks watery. Starters disappointed: the Polenta and shrimp was tiny and bland, while the octopus in tapenade was so overcooked it crunched. The waiter might have warned us about the size of the starters. Mains included the seafood risotto special, branzino, red snapper, and mushroom risotto. Portions were ample, but the quality wasn’t there. The fish dishes lacked character, and the risottos were just serviceable—no frills, no spark. Dessert wasn’t even tempting. At over $400 for five, the bill might be standard for the Gables, but it overshot the quality of food, drink, and ambiance. Service was polite but could have been more attentive. Parking was a challenge. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in Coral Gables that deliver fresher food, authentic flavors, and better value. Abbracci trades on history, not quality. Unless you’re chasing nostalgia, there are far better options nearby. #CoralGablesDining #OverpricedEats #AbbracciMiami
Very bad experience at Café Abrazzi in Coral Gables. The food arrived late and, worst of all, tasted old. The ingredients were clearly not fresh, and the flavor confirmed it. The dish I ordered was dry, bland, and seemed like it had been reheated from the day before. It’s a place that looks like a good dining option, but they clearly don’t care about the quality of their food. A total disappointment. I do not recommend it.
I called on the way there tonight was told the corkage fee was 35 when the bill came it was 80 because it was a special occasion. The manager basically insinuated I lied that no one would answer the phone. I assured him I did call otherwise how would I know it was 35. I was stunned and disappointed when my bill was close to 1000 dollars. That will be my last visit to Abbracci. Terrible customer service.
