Wanted a quick, easy spot for lunch and this turned out be be perfect. Friendly staff, easy ordering, and a few tables in the back, which was warm and cozy. Chose a jalapeño hot and small fries. Both were cooked fresh and were very tasty. Great place to warm up and fill you up.
Hopefully they built the road good quick small friendly place. If you like hot dogs, this is the place to come.

This was my old haunt 30 years ago. The food is still just as good as I remember. Jim wasn't here sitting on his stool behind the counter serving up his dogs, but they are just as good. Don't let the looks fool you. If you want good food quick, this is the place.
Great old school hot dog place, run by the owner. He also does a very good daily special non-hot dog entree!
Friendly man behind the counter, very fast service. I had a very large order and he waited on several other people while still working on mine.
Great find! Hot dogs were amazing and the staff was extra nice! Thanks!
Jims is number one for fresh tasty food i highly recommend jims texas hots!!!!
This is my go to every time I go back to Corning to visit. I grew up in the area and I remember getting a milkshake and a hotdog from his place and it’s still amazing to this day. I would recommend 100%.
Corning's best kept secret. *Cash only!* Stop by for a hot dog and a shake. Truly a landmark of the community and of Market St. Family owned. Shop local, shop small. Take your business to a small business.
Good food and friendly staff! Quick service and good selection of toppings. Had a lovely conversation with the man working behind the counter.
After walking by the cozy joint multiple times my boyfriend and I decided to finally stop and try the place. Great choice!!! The hotdog was everything you want it to be. Man behind the counter was very friendly and attentive, and the patrons were smiley as well. Can’t complain about good food and good service! Definitely recommend.
I think it's Corning's best kept secret. I've been coming here since I was pretty much born 34 years ago. Nothings changed in those 34 years and nothing needs to. It's perfect the way it is with great food and even better home town hospitality.

To those not familiar with this joint, it can look a little shady when first walking in. However the workers are often pleasant, the service is usually quick, and I love their hot dogs and milkshakes. If you need a quick and affordable bite during lunch, I recommend coming here to at least give it a try.

I have to say that when I walked in I was a little suspicious, but the food ended up being great, the people were nice and talkative and the employees were right on the ball. The place could use a little face lift though. Paint, conformity in tables ect. If you just want to sit down real quick and grab a Dog I highly recommend it and the shakes are spectacular!
I'm sorry this place hasn't done for me the past few times . Boiled hotdogs ? Sitting in the water ? Not even toasting the buns ? So that when they put the hot dogs get put on there the bread gets soggy. There's definitely a lack of effort here. If your going to boil the hot dogs why not toast the dogs before plating them ? Mediocre isnt going to keep you relevant these days . You have to be different. Show more creativity. Paying for a Medicare cheap boiled hot dog isn't it. The other hand the staff there are really friendly.
First off, I want to say the owner is incredibly friendly and truly a pleasure to talk to. I can see why this place is a long-standing local favorite, and I almost feel bad leaving a less-than-stellar review because of how kind he was. That said, I was excited to try Jim’s based on the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, the food just wasn’t for me. The hot dog was boiled, which I personally don’t prefer—especially when dining out—and the topping lacked the bold flavor I was hoping for. I also ordered a chocolate milkshake "extra thick," but it ended up being more like chocolate milk in consistency. I’m not from the Corning area and was just passing through, and I get the sense that this might be more of a local taste thing. I’m from the home of Zweigle’s hot dogs and Garbage Plates, which are bursting with flavor, so my expectations might be different. As for the atmosphere, while I did see the owner cleaning behind the counter and the tables were clean, the space itself felt a bit cluttered and dingy overall. I truly respect how long this business has been around and the loyal following it clearly has. The friendly service is definitely a highlight, but personally, the food just wasn’t my style.

In the area and saw this place thats an institution - around for 40 years - have to try right? It's a boiled cheap store brand hot dog.Soggy bun and flavorless toppings. Seems thats the rave around here per reviews. I was disappointed. People were nice, therefore 2 stars. I'd like to invite you to CT for a real hot dog- a Hummels natural casing dog GRILLED to perfection with the works plus chili. Then talk to me.

Overpriced, Dirty, No flavor, No authenticity whatsoever. Wouldn’t waste your time nor money, stopping at this location. Meat sauce, smell like fried cat food. Strawberry milkshake was literally milk with a little bit of ice cream, cream and Hershey’s strawberry syrup. Hot dogs $3.50 And they have to be the cheapest hotdog they make.
