Marui Sushi

First time visit and we enjoyed our time there. Prices aren't crazy and the food was good. It wasn't too busy, service was great, and our food arrived quickly. I forgot to mention my birthday so don't know if they do anything special for that. Will definitely go back and try more items on the menu.

I've been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times they were super sweet and friendly with my toddler aged daughter. Very accommodating and a great atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable and sushi is delicious! Ordered a custom roll with salmon and they ended up giving us extra salmon sashimi because "they heard I liked salmon" A "regular" was there and they shared Saki for her birthday. Great vibes! Wonderful experience. I think I found my sushi spot in Corona! Update 2022: my toddler is now 5. We haven’t been out to sushi in quite some time until today. After trying salmon sashimi for the first time she said “this place has good food! Let’s eat here every day!”

Fantastic local restaurant with caring ownership and quality food. I've never had an issue with a meal from here. Market competitive prices with generous cuts of fish, fresh ingredients and friendly service. They are accommodating especially for families with a genuinely friendly staff who support the community and have made effort to continue to support the community during COVID.

I have dined in and ordered takeout, this place has some of the highest quality sushi in Corona. Any locals remember how Tokai was before management changes? This place is like that.

As a Canadian lost in Corona, I had a warm welcome and the people and the atmosphere was just divine. I really felt wonderful in this place and the food was very fresh and each dish was unique. I dont get to go to Corona often but I will always have a special place in my heart and stomach for this gem! Thank you for the wonderful experience and I hope to return soon! - Mark

Been eating here for years since my now 17 and 18 yo kids were little. The owners have always treaded my kids extra special so gar as to kidnap them up to the bar for personal sampling service. My first experience with sush and Japanese cusine was Tokyo so my standars are high. I pretty much always order gyoza, main roll and sashimi salad. But everything is excellent.

Great rolls! We ordered 4 rolls that were recommended and they were delicious!Took it to go. Everything was packed well, all sauces were included on the side, and the staff was very accommodating! We will definitely be back!

It was a great experience eating here. The service was spectacular and definitely would be my reason for coming back! The baked salmon roll wasn’t my fave but I really liked the fresh yellowtail roll. It’s honestly really great atmosphere as well kind of small tho but other than that it was great will come back for sure.

Just moved to Corona and have tried 6 + sushi joints. This by far has been my top choice. Relaxed atmosphere and not overdone with an attentive staff. Fish quality is A+ as well as a variety of creative rolls. Try the Dynamite, you wont be disappointed 😉

I love Mauri! Been going there for years and it is always great food and great atmosphere! I love the volcano roll, it comes to the table flaming! I highly recommend them.

Since the covid hit , I found this place bc my other spot was closed. The Sashimi salad is off the hook and well worth the price . The chunks of fish are huge and the best in the Corona area! Between the Bento box and salad I struggle to finish it ! If you have not tried this spot you need too!

I went there with my son who love to eat sushi, and love it, the salmon sashimi is fresh and tasty and the spicy scallops are amazing.

I will drive 55 min. to eat at this restaurant! If you go mid afternoon on a Sunday it's quiet and the fish is so fresh! Portions are unbelievably generous! The sashimi is wonderful and the staff is happy, and friendly! I love it here! I have not had sushi this good in a long time. Definitely try it!

I've been coming here for a long time if I happen to be passing through the area. Service is absolutely warm and friendly. Food quality and quantity are always good, and prices are in line with both.

My nine year old daughter's favorite place to eat. Good quality fish that is well prepared. What more do you need from a good sushi bar. The chef's are quick & friendly, for the most part. Parking can be a challenge here at peak times during the day. I recommend the San Diego roll if you like a little heat.

The menu did not indicate it had imitation crab in it or crab at all.And it came with crab and a few other ingredients that was not listed on the menu and they didn't want to exchange it. I would verify everything in the roll next time.

I went there on a Tuesday around 2pm. There were 3 tables included us. The sushi is fresh and tasty. Service is horrible. Our waitress never served us our drinks until AFTER the sushi arrived. I ordered the dynamite and a baked salmon roll and she forgot to send the dynamite. I completely understand if the restaurant was busy but hospitality and service are missing in this restaurant. I ll suggest ordering to go since the food is good.

Lunch was just ok but the pricing was fantastic. My sister got the California toll and said it was delicious so I'm sure it was. I had the spicy salmon roll which was just ok the salmon mixture on top of my roll was heavily salted and had a strong taste of vinegar so I took the topping off and ate the roll underneath and it was fantastic 🥰

Food was good and service was great. We went in for Lunch on a Saturday and their website states that the lunch menu is offered Monday-Saturday but in the restaurant the printed menu limits the lunch Monday-Thursday. When this was pointed out the staff stated that the website has not been updated in over 10 years. It is time Marui to update your website as it is not accurate. This will foster disappointment in customers experience.

Just moved to the area and we are sushi lovers so we decided to check them out. The inside is nice, very friendly employees. The sushi was pretty good and the price is decent. The service was slow and we never got water refills. Also we didn’t receive one order and no one was around to tell them.

way too expensive for mediocre sushi. the presentation was great but the taste left so much to desire. the service on Wednesday was terrible. the server got my order wrong twice which ended up with me getting stale food. the seafood clearly isn't fresh. which ended up giving me food poisoning that very same night. 50+ dollars for sushi and seafood that tasted low quality and frozen. on top of the fact that the service staff was rude and slow. if it wasn't for the presentation of the food and the atmosphere of the place id give this only one star. wouldn't recommend

Ordered dinner tonight from here and very disappointed. Rice and meat portions were extremely small. Each plate was way too over priced for the very small portions that they serve. We usually get full on the sushi and there was barely any rice on each roll. Won’t be ordering from here for a long time. ruined our night

Racist with very poor service To give a better context let me explain that I'm Hispanic. I went to this place to pick up an order and when I got there, two Asian ladies were at the counter but nobody greeted me, I introduced myself and told them I went to pick up my order, both looked at my with no response and neither asked me anything else, one was swiping a card and the other was checking some bags, so I thought they're busy, I'll wait, after certain time, three white girls showed up at the counter and one lady immediately bows to them and asked them how can she help them, they said they're picking up an order, the lady said it wasn't ready but she was going to process the payment, then the girls left and I thought, even tho I came early, it doesn't matter I'm next, but then again, there was awkward silence, like I wasn't there, that's when I asked them politely, excuse me, when are you going to help me with the order? The two of them start speaking in their language, and then in a very dismissive way one of them says, what's the name for the order? By this time many minutes have elapsed since I got there, they didn't care I was there until I asked them again, after they even bowed to the other girls, there was not even an apology. Clearly they're not interested in Hispanic customers, they just lost one, maybe that's what they want!
