EAT HERE!!!! We came into Lucky’s at 1:20 (they close at 2) and they were out of a few of our favorite flavors. No problem, we expected this and we were totally prepared to order something else. The sweet owner asked what our favorite flavor was and then went back in the back and CUSTOM MADE THEM to order. My family and I were so touched. What GREAT customer service. Thank you so much!
Does anyone know who this guy is? He was standing around watching people mess with the cars in the parking lot when I came walking out. He did absolutely nothing but stand there and watch.
Lucky donuts is a real treat. I love their selection of traditional donuts, but really enjoy their alternative offers. Such as their fried apple burrito, it literally changed my life. My kids love the donuts with cereal toppings, and my wife loves the authentic Mexican pastries. Their breakfast sandwiches are good too.
The Real Deal.... both the raised and cake donuts are fantastic.... love the cereal donuts too
The donas are suuuper yummy and the service was excellent!! I also think the price is very good, every time I want donas I will go there : )
We found this gem a couple years ago. Now it is our first stop every time we are in San Diego. Everything is amazing! Order the apple pie burrito- you will thank me later.
“Old School” pink boxes and quality! Skip the chain store and come here. Maple bacon is addictive!

The only thing better than the friendly staff is their Apple Burrito. I stopped by on a whim and couldn't resist trying their Apple Burrito. It's like if an Apple Pie and a Burrito had a baby and dressed it like a churro. It was absolutely incredible. I had it as is, but the owner recommended I warm it up and eat it ala mode with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream. I like the way he thinks and that's exactly what I'll be doing next time.

Wish it was closer to my house. If you are thinking about it, this is the spot you were looking for. Classic donut shop with great donuts.
The Bavarian cream and apple fritter were delicious. The owner was very friendly and also speaks Spanish which may be helpful for some. A+ from. Added bonus, he has some pictures of his 6 cute dogs and is willing to happily converse about them and doggies in general. Also, it's about a block away from the coast which is nice if you're staying in nearby hotel.

I'm honestly offended that this place didn't have a line a mile long outside of it. Exquisite fritters and ham/cheese croissants. The apple pie burrito is awesome also. This is a gem if you're in this part of SD in the morning.

Had the chocolate croissant and it was amazing. He warmed it up perfectly. Boyfriend had the cinnamon roll and he loved it. They had a great selection from donuts to authentic mexican pastries. Great to grab a pastry and hit the beach!
A hidden gem in a local strip mall! Don’t let the exterior fool you—there are great surprises inside. They offer a mix of unique donut flavors and fresh, made-to-order breakfast sandwiches. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

This place is ran by an old man that needs to retire he got upset that I parked in front. He started to say that I needed to move my car. The lot has many businesses and I went to visit the cell phone repair shop. He started to follow me and take pictures of my car. I told him if he was so upset about my car being their to call the tow company. He followed me and started to disrespect me in front of people.

The owner harassed me in the parking lot. Came out of the store and stared me down. Then aggressively was yelling to leave the parking lot because I was “in his stores spots”. Before I could even walk to his establishment, he assumed I wasn’t going to his business. Because of the harassment I did not get donuts from here and will never plan on getting them from here because of that experience. The golden rule: treat people the way you want to be treated.
Blocks off half the parking lot with cones that aren’t even enforceable. Making the parking situation worse for people trying to get their haircut next door. Donuts were average when I’ve been here in the past but will not be back in the future
