Preguntas frecuentes sobre La Isla del Dragón
Opiniones de La Isla del Dragón Cuauhtémoc
Well worth the $8USD. I was pleasantly surprised. Would eat there again. Not much fish at this price level.
Amazing find in Reforma! They serve typical homecooked chinese food! And it only costs 109 MXN per person (excluding drinks)! Tipping optional. They don't accept cards so make sure you have cash. Surprisingly, they had fried and steamed cuapao, lecheria (condensed milk) included! Legit! We'll definitely be back, for the next time we are in Mexico City! 👌
Please understand I ate here with no side effects! The buffet is adequate and they did serve beer. Admittedly, it was a coolish 1l of Tecate but I was ready to settle for the convenience. The place was not busy and there were friends of the place hanging around so the wait staff was distracted. The buffet is decent but there are tricks like skipping the sweet and sour chicken and just pouring the s&s sauce on the cut up chicken breasts. Still I have to say this is a good place to get average food at a good price, and a big beer!
This is constant rotation when I am not in the mood to cook. The options are tasty and satisfying. I love the open of take-away & dining in. I've most recently chosen to dine in and savor more of the options that are available versus take away of only four options (which does not include seafood etc)
Best Chinese buffet I’ve had in Mexico. The food is good and fresh, and there is a great variety. I love indulging every time o go, but be prepared to be stuffed; it’s all you can eat. There are two full food buffets, it’s almost overwhelming. It seems to be pretty popular on weekend evenings so don’t be surprised if there aren’t many seats open. If you go early, it’s pretty quiet. Drinks cost extra, and it’s cash only.
Friendly staff but the food taste just average. The price is less than $9.00 which is VB not bad but you eat what you paid for.
Very mediocre Chinese buffett for 160 pesos. Drink extra. More quantity than quality. When I was there a number of items were already getting cold.
Unfortunately, I really can not recommend this place. We came here on a Thursday evening with quite an appetite and left somewhat disappointed. The food from the buffet was not especially bad, but also definitely not especially good. It was luke-warm to kind of cool only, and most importantly, it did not look or taste fresh, but more like it had been lying there at the buffet for multiple hours already. Also, it is more on the expensive side compared to many of the small local places that are around, especially for the not-great quality (we paid about 400 MXN for two, including drinks, compared to ~150 MXN for two at a local restaurant with better food). On the upside, the staff were friendly, and everything looked clean and felt welcoming. However, I would recommend you to go somewhere else if you are looking for above-average, fresh food.
Not an amazing experience. If you’re looking for a typical Chinese buffet restaurant, this is not it. No egg drop soup, no hot and sour, and the food itself was a pale imitation of Americanized Chinese food. I will give two stars for the awesome fruit they have for dessert, and the giant juice they serve for 65 pesos. However, a single person’s buffet costs $155 pesos. Simply not worth it. I would rather pay a little more and get a better dish elsewhere. Everything here had a very strange aftertaste and I left the buffet with a headache. :(
I got food poisoning. It’s the cheap buffet. I don’t think with cheap price like that they gonna serve you the good quality of foods. It’s good experience but I got sick after that
They told us we could only pay in cash after we asked for the bill. When we asked to speak to the manager because nobody told us beforehand, they said the manager doesn't speak English (stupidest excuse ever). After being fussy about it they told us to make a bank transfer or pay in dollars (apparently thinking we are Americans). Most frustrating experience we've had in Mexico!
The only pro is that we didn't get sick. Food is room temperature. The few times food is replenished it's already hours old.
Do not go there. First the price advertised 115 was not the price I was offered at the restaurant *109. Whose to complain if it's a few cents cheaper ? Me. First. The food is way WAY below standard for North American Asian food. You can get better Asian food in Alabama USA or Windsor Canada. Those are very small towns too. Some foods were just oil and salt. So salty ! If you have hypertension please PLEASE DON'T eat there. The sushi looked like sad, diseased dog poop. No fish options. It's all chicken. And it's fried nuggets of chicken. No flavor. Just salt on salt. Nothing tasted different. Not even the bbq. I wasn't even offered water while eating. I had to go purchase water from a different establishment. In general. Don't waste your time ! It was disgusting. Not worth it. Zero stars
